potter09
Potter the first time you fought injured you won I believe cause u threw a hissy fit & almost dropped out but then won the fight. I BELIEVE yours was a 15 day injury though sooo as Dean explained probably actually ended up fighting w/ 0 injury in the end No my hissy fit was wrong as I made a mistake he was nt injured come fight time. The fight after that he was and lost its impossible to win vs a non injured guy.
Goatacre
It's not impossible, I won a fight in TUM2 with an injured fighter (3 days, I think) versus a non-injured fighter.
verbalkint
I like me some ITFL on sundays i have to say, but i definitly would not "vote against" a change in any form. But it's really bad timing that it pops up after picks are being made, so i think it's fair to say that Soyster's opponent should at least give his ok. j666
1 day injuries are meaningless. Your fighter fights normally. 2 day+ and all bets are off. I see Stu's point, but I just feel it detracts from the tourney. He's right, and injuries absolutely play a role in deciding fighter selection, but it also skews the overall toureny and standings. If fighters could fight injured and still somewhat compete, it would be different. But they gas immediately and simply have to try and survive, which isn't realistic. A 2 or 3 day injury should be something nagging, not crippling. it IS realistic...they're injured. what wouldn't be realistic, is if they fought the exact same even though the were injured, kinda like how they train the exact same injured or not. what also wouldn't be realistic, is fighters not getting hurt, ever, just to make sure the sun is always shining and everything is perfect. i have a friend who has a similar view when it comes to football (american) and the super bowl. take out all the variables, even tho they are there throughout the course of the season, just to make sure everything goes perfect, and smooth, and everyone has a fair shake...where does it say, in any aspect of life or virtual reality, that everything has to be fair? lol realistic is having to fight injured and be hampered by that injury to some degree. realistic is losing, sometimes to forces outside of your control...
DeadlyDirk
Hendry was injured for last seasons tournament, got knocked out for the first time in his career, so yeh it can be a pretty big deal, but then the rules were clear from the start. Well realistically guys claim to fight with minor injuries all the time. Thiago Silva was supposedly using steroids because he had to fight to get paid. Guys like Tito and Tim Sylvia fought with disc issues. So not sure that injuries in real life are as crippling as they are in the game. Couldn't change the event at this point since fight offers are already sent and accepted. Was just talking about moving forward because I did sorta anticipate the heavier guys may end up injured more then last season
Stu_Pidasol
I say leave it anyway.. That's how the cookie crumbles.. This is primarily a team competition not an individual one - it seems from some of the comments people view this as a individual tourney.. Take one for the team with your injured fighter and help you team get the win.

Stu_Pidasol
http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11w5.jpg Knight: Hey Boss any idea on when I'm actually going to get an opponent that is going to cause me some trouble in the cage? Stu: I have had a look through the cans these managers have been putting forward for this comp and I hate to tell you that the only challenge you are going to have is when face Colin Croft in the individual final. Knight: What do you mean? That's months away. Are you honestly telling me I'm going to have to keep knocking these 2nd rate fighters out? Stu: Come on Julian, this Bawit Daba you have next is 4-0-1 with all his wins coming via KO. He's going to test you. Knight: I see his name, maybe it's my dyslexia but I see it as Baba Dimwit and he isn't a challenge look who he has beaten. Some guy he has knocked out twice who has a worse chin than Tito Hopkins. Another guy that is now retired.. And of course he knocked that Killcanny guy out. Stu: What are you getting at Julian? Knight: The guy has been crushing cans, he would make Joel Nicola proud. This weekend I'm going to turn that bums lights out quicker than I did that Uretha guy last week.. Did you notice he sure has been quiet after I knocked him the fuck out, he thought he was going to challenge me. Stu: I did notice that, maybe he is still dazed. I should send some flowers and a pink jelly to his manager.

DeadlyDirk
http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1b19.jpg "The Super St Lucian" Cornel Develutian Reporter: "We are here today with Team Reaper member, Cornel Develutian for an exclusive interview. So Cornel, how are you enjoying ITFL 2 so far?" CD: "It's been good, Team Reaper are on top after two rounds and we'll be still there after three, so I can't complain." Reporter: "How about yourself personally though, you suffered a vicious knockout loss in the first round to Robert Beckett, how did that make you feel?" CD: "It didn't make me feel anything, I was unconscious. When I woke up I simply celebrated with my teammates, we won the round, that's all that matters. This is a team game and some people forget that." Reporter: "Well either way you certainly responded well in week 2, scoring a first round knockout over Steve Menzies, it must have been good to get your first win for the team?" CD: "It was nice to get a win, he was never going to be able to take my power. Again though, it's about the team, I don't care if I lose every round if it still means a Team Reaper victory." Reporter: "Moving on from the past fights, how's your training been going between rounds, can we expect a similar boxing heavy style from you in the future or are you prepared to mix things up a bit?" CD: "Everyone involved in the tournament is a young hungry guy and you're likely to see vast improvements from fighters as it progresses, myself included. I'm on a pretty strict strength and conditioning program at the moment, I'm feeling in the shape of my life and I'm only going to get better from here on out." Reporter: "Any words for today's opponent? El Pintos?" CD: "He's going down and he knows it, I haven't decided how I'll finish it yet but I'll be stopping him in the first round, perhaps by introducing my knee to his face. That fat slob has nothing for me and you're all going to be witnesses of that today." Reporter: "How about the rest of Team Reaper, do you see them coming out on top again today?" CD: "I predict a raping for the Reapers, 5-0, Syndicate Nutrition have nothing to fear. We'll be sitting pretty at the top of the table come the end of the night. Taphorn submits Bob easily, first round kimura I suspect, Tim Smith's gonna take out Al Zahran and it's ridiculous that they even let Bawit Daba into the same cage as Julian Knight, it's not going to end well for Daba. Then of course there's the big man on campus, Colin Croft, or Crofty as we call him. Let's just say we have an air ambulance on standby for Zell Griever, he's going to need it."

EzekelRAGE
Kirk Lazarus http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/1349628629KirkLazarus.jpg MMA News Network was able to get an interview with Kirk after his win over Angel. Reporter: How do you feel? Lazarus: I feel great!!! It was a tough for sure. But me being me, I overcame it and tapped him out. Reporter: At one point in the match, it looked like you were in trouble when you were knocked down. Lazarus: Wasn't really a knockdown, I slipped off some blood from an earlier fight. Maybe Badayan's or Warfist. They were bleeding like stuffed pigs. Reporter: Where did the sub come from? Lazarus: Well in the MMA movie I'm doing, the guy is sorta a bjj specialist, so I had to take some classes myself. That's where I picked up the maneuver. Wanted to use it as a last resort, a secret weapon. With him winning the first round off of a slippage and me dominating him the 2nd, I couldnt leave it to chance. Reporter: Any last words? Lazarus: Yea #FullRetard *laughs*

Nothing quite like riding off someone elses coat tails though hey boys?? http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11w5.jpg Knight: Hey Boss, I lost to a can.. Maybe I should show these easy beats some more respect? Stu: Nah, I highly doubt that Julian.. You dominated that bunny for 2 and a half rounds.. All the KO shows is that the sun shines on a dogs arsehole every now and then. A lucky punch.. Don't sweat it... Knight: Yeah that's very true - Doc says I'm a bit injured and going to struggle to be fully fit for next week.. Stu: Yeah I got his report - unlike some though that whine about only a 14 day break, we are gong to use this to our favour.. Julian you're our sacrifical lamb this week? Knight: Sweet.. This is exactly why Reaper are yet to lose a single round since ITFL started, it's not about the little battles it's about the war. We always win the war.
