Popular Post tp61503
So i been thinking lately something that would make this game more fun is the ability to send quick message or such to people and them knowing it. It could even show up on main page under news or something like orgs, two sections top 100 fighters, or top 500 or top 1000 or whatever and then all else. IT would be cool for both smacktalk and praise to opponents. So instead of guestbook/messages it would be different because you could actually take the persona of a fighter and have them send the message in like blog or twitter like form straight from fighter page or such. It should even send a notification if you are tagged in the talk maybe a message to managers inbox or something. Since i suck at explaining things it would be something like this. Tycoon Talk from the top 500 fighters Otso Jokinen @tycoon im still the best in the world, the greatest fighter in allll of tycoon. Otso Jokinen @"The Rhino" Ronnie Riley (120061) You have no chance of beating me im the best! Don Marciano@ Alistair Overeem (41688), you got lucky you couldnt beat me 9 out of 10 times. Alistair Overeem@ Don Marciano (70356). you might be good but you are not that good. 1-0 says otherwise. Tycoon Talk from other fighters. Zack Price (182857), @(no one tagged). I cant wait for my next fight im going to win by KO Jon Targaryen (182506) @tycoonnews, i stubbed my toe today getting out of the shower! but hey im kinda cute and loveable! then you could do it as a manager. Wilson Thieatcres, @ Chris Karter. Tough loss im sure Don will be back to #1....oh and my boy says he is kicking your fighters a$$ in three days time!. etc etc i had more to add to this idea but i forget so ill just answer questions and add on as needed.

Aconors
I'd like to see Mike get in on this cause this is a great idea. Anything to bring life to fighters and have fighter to fighter interaction. It would be great for org owners and would also help co promotions al well. Hell of an idea right here.

Guest
It is a really great idea. I think that the easiest way to go about this would be to simply add a chatbox to the public page of every org, similar to the chatbox in alliances. This would probably be a very easy addition for Mike to make. Quick and painless and would be huuuuge for increasing the awareness and use of smack talk. It would do wonders for my org participation level.
OnlyLeach
Nice idea, to add to this it would be cool if you had a message in your inbox making you aware who has tagged you or one of your fighters in a comment. This could work for the post fight speeches, so if you called someone out their manager gets a message that someone mentioned your fighter in a speech and a link takes you there. Also this could work the same way but linked to the Tycoon TImes, if someone writes a piece on your fighter you get a link etc etc. Basically ripping off FB and Twitter. Guess every fighter would have to have a TycoonTwitter account option on creation, hey you could even charge for it Mike... VIP time maybe.

CharlesLeeRay
The idea is brilliant, a manager can take the persona of their fighter to a higher level.

MMATycoon
Yes, I do want to do stuff like this. I don't want to get distracted / overwhelmed from what I'm doing at the moment e.g. World Grappling Champs, so please bump this when that is done / keep discussing it till then.
Guest
Awesome idea! Also it would be great if every fighter, org, manager have his own "Twitter". And instead putting that to main page it could be added as a separate page in which you could see your "followers", posts from guys that you "follow", serach bar which would allow you to search "Twitts" by managers name, managers "twitter" acc (same things with fighters), or search by receiver/tagged peoples and ignored/blocked accounts. And it would be great if such messages would allow us to add a little pic or something that would show after clicking "show pic attached to message" (that would prevent to stretch a page by multiple/big pic attached to a message). listerman
I'm glad I found this post! I had the same idea a few days ago and I was thinking about creating a post about this. The idea came to me when I was doing a "twitter war" just for fun between two fighters of my org. Take a look at this post http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37027&&do=findComment&comment=463891 Smack talk is currently done in forums, but I know a lot of managers don't even look at forums, so having direct interaction between fighters could hype fights a lot better. Thanks for this post and I'm glad it's currently in consideration

MMATycoon
Yep, this will get developed at some point, probably using the same format as twitter with @ and #. A related question. Does anyone actually ever read the news page? I won't even mention the RSS feed page because I just assume nobody uses that.
