can any of the veteran managers help us by doing a new topic on how to manage the sliders for the fighter tactics ? Of course there is that wiki page for it, but it isn't detailed ...
can anyone just write this post on different criteria like :

1. Ko artist
2.submission guy
3.clinchwork guy
4.kicking and muay thai
5.defensive grappling
6.counter punching
etc etc etc etc

this would be a great help for all the new managers and all the other who are struggling with the game .... please anyone ...

No one would. It would be like giving your gun to your potential enemy with a note "do not use it against me". Most of the managers won't share with you their sliders, so figure it by yourself.

And it's a managment game, in which the main goal is to achieve global domination, most of the players aren't like those evil geniuses from Hollywood, whom shares their plans with a hero before attempting to kill him.

Good luck,

Bragi~

I've had a bit of help in sliders from Wolf. The thing to me that was useful was understanding what terms meant. Like I didn't know escapes meant standing up from the floor (not a slider). Combos are an awesome aspect in real life. You'd want to be on like 90% combos irl, but in this game you only was like 5% combos. You can figure it out yourself but knowing what each slider does isn't revealing a secret plan. The sliders are tailored to your opponent's skillset. I got a win over a KO specialist with superior striking by countering him a lot, where as if I fight a worse striker I'm upping my aggression. That's the kind of stuff you pick up along the way, and more importantly the balance.

  • I think everything you have stated here is just so damn obvious!!! If you want a KO artist, you have to have KO Power hidden or big strenght (or both) and go at least 60% damage in sliders.
  • Submission guy is obviously a guy who is quite aggresive on the ground and goes for submissions instead of strikes.
  • Kicking and Muay Thai - just go for kicks, try kicking the legs often, body quite often, and the head rarely.
  • Defensive Grappling - it isn't a way to win. Only defending is never an option.
  • Counter punching - you'll need high speed and agility as well as high striking defense and the thing you're going to attack with (punches, kicks) have to be high as well. Counter punching works like that - you have to make your opponent miss, agility and striking defense helps with that. When he misses, you have an opportunity to counter. Your speed decides if you will land that counter, and counters are way stronger than usual strikes, but as you can see, they are also harder to execute. But a counter head kick or a counter combination usually kills your opponent :)

Really probably shouldn't have "set slider settings" for certain builds of fighters. IMO you should always be trying to adjust your game-plan to your opponent in most fights. Occasionally you'll have a fighter or two who just fight best on certain settings or it's better to just play towards their strengths but I think that's rare in most cases.

Don't listen to this scrub he's the worst manager in the games history. He literally makes Franky Redz appear to hold a Tycoon IQ greater than 69!

What you wanna do is set your auto win slider to yes, not no. If you set that one slider to yes, you win all the fights.

So you are saying the only time I lose the fight is when my auto-win is set to "no"? Well shit... no wonder I'm having a sub par month.

Even the best of us eff up from time to time. Don't beat yourself up over it.
