bjornmma1
A lot of trash talk on twitter between Rampage and Tyrone Spong. If this fight happens, who wins?
thb
if Rampage fights smart - uses his wrestling - he undoubtedly wins but if Rampage fights like the boxer he always wants to be Spong wins

Obviously Spong will have an advantage in the standup, as he will against most in his weightclass, his weak spot will be on the ground and defending being put there. Rampage have the wrestling to put him on his back, but sometimes he chose to rely on his boxing, where he should just have gone for the takedown. THT
Spong wins, he'll bounce up quicker than a kid on Jacko's lap if taken down and will smash the granny outta Rampage, Spong is a monster!
DeadlyDirk
Rampage wouldn't be anywhere near quick enough to use his wrestling, Spong would smash him with a few leg kicks and then finish him. Spong is a beast.
Erik
Rampage is so broken down at this point that I doubt he wins, but still, Spong can probably be worn down in the clinch.
HalifaxUndead
If Rampage boxes with Spong he would probably lose at this point. Im not completely sold on Spong as he hasnt had to show his grappling but in a striking fight their are very few men at 205 that can hang with him and I dont think Rampage at this point is one of them. warlord
Spong will win
Guest
Spong is a monster on his feet, Rampage will want to, as usual, test him standing, and I think he will get crushed if he does so.
Mentor
if Rampage fights smart - uses his wrestling - he undoubtedly wins but if Rampage fights like the boxer he always wants to be Spong wins This. The problem is that Rampage usually does not fight smart.
Guest
I'd probably be picking Spong. Rampage has regressed over the years into a fundamentally one dimensional (not very good) boxer, from the well-rounded fighter he used to be. Guest
this is my point too that's why i chose spong. Gotta consider too, Rashad would probably be more than able to prepare Spong for Rampage's potential wrestling.
Guest
This. The problem is that Rampage isn't very smart. Fixed!
Guest
Wow... looking at the results I'm really not surprised how one sided the vote has gone. Rampage's ship has sailed. Spong will win.
rac2
I think Rampage will get carried away with his boxing trying to KTFO of Sponge and eventually will get caught.
jacky67
Spong and by KO. Rampage is old and not as good as before.
Guest
Spong by eating Rampage's legs apart
thb
Only one vote left for Rampage lol
Mentor
Funny thing is that Rampage was a decent wrestler in the past. In fact his GnP was probably the best part of his game. I am not sure why he changed to become a one dimensional, one punch boxer. That was never really his strong point even in his prime.

I am not sure why he changed to become a one dimensional, one punch boxer. That was never really his strong point even in his prime. It seemed to start when he began training with Juanito Ibarra. Never understood it myself, he always had excellent MMA wrestling, all one has to do is look back at his fights with Arona, Randleman, Chuck 1, Lindland, and Henderson to see how far he has fallen from his more well-rounded days. He showed some really good wrestling in Pride, after that he indeed became a boxer and it did work for him because he's got ko power, it would just be better if he mixed in his wrestling with his boxing he would simply be a better fighter
