For me i have been a Diver for the last 5 years cleaning the bottoms the Bottoms of boats and Maintaining there running gear and such. It has its ups and downs like all jobs working under water for one thing i have always loved. Of course being in there with Alligators and Sharks can be a little nerve wrecking though. mwt19744 Posted March 3, 2014 Report Share Posted March 3, 2014 I do predicted Maintenance at Corrigated Box Plants. I travel all over the US and parts of Canada. Basically I test the machines that make card board Boxes and then check for air and steam leaks in these same type of plants. I am headed to Calgary tomorrow morning. Daycare costs are just to high for my wife and I to both work and when we lived in Arizona I worked and she stayed home. thegroovemonkey Posted March 3, 2014 Report Share Posted March 3, 2014 Used to be a ballroom dance intructor, now in tech school learning how to program CNC machines and will be back to doing that at the end of the year. Currently unemployed but just went to a job fair at school and am getting blown up for interviews. As far as the pay of garbage men goes, that is completely legit. That and school janitors are the two jobs that pay a lot more than you would think because of the stigma attached to them. I have a buddy who is a full time janitor making $21 an hour plus OT and he just started. The guys running the crews make in the 30's. It's even one of the best part time jobs at around $13 an hour. I am working in accountancy but I am sending my CVs and motivational letters cause I am looking for a job in design office (I even applied for a job as project manager in Decathlon.
