TheMould
Just wondering what peoples favourite UFC fights have been. As a relatively new MMA fan (only last couple years or so) I've been watching through some older fights here and their and just wondering if anybody can recommend anything in particular to watch. The fight itself, the build up, the implications/ramifications of the result etc. whatever reason just post why and what fight!

Guest
Oh yeah. Watch every fight of the Karo/Diaz/Sanchez triangle. Maia/MacDonald is crazy awesome too.
TheMould
seen a few Sanchez fights and know what a nutter that guy is. Gotta be honest I like a bit of variety, enjoy a good brawl but always into a solid technical war on the ground too as long as both men are busy. wolfinfire
It is not probably known as one of the greatest fights ever, but I love the Randy Couture/Tito Ortiz fight where Randy holds him down and spanks him like a bratty kid.

Guest
Chael Sonnen vs Anderson Silva UFC 117 -- Definitely one of my favorite fights, if not THE favorite. It has two of my favorite fighters, both extremely talented, plus Chael's trash talk adds an added element to it. The fight alone is great because Chael struck Anderson more in one round than Anderson had been struck total in his UFC career up to that point. And the fact that Anderson was still able to fight his way back and get the win speaks to his skill. Everything about this fight is great. Dan Henderson vs Mauricio Rua UFC 139 -- Objectively right up there as one of the greatest UFC fights. In terms of being an all-round match-up of striking, grappling and just sheer intensity, it's hard to think of a better fight that went the distance and featured two MMA legends. Jon Jones vs Alexander Gustafsson UFC 165 -- Love him or hate him, JBJ is an extremely talented fighter who has faced some tough opposition from great fighters, but was never really challenged for three straight rounds... until he faced Gus. Gus took Jones down a couple of times and had his way with him, and while it remains a matter of interpretation who really won this fight, there's no denying that these two guys matched each other pretty evenly. While Jones' reign is polarizing, I think this fight will hold up long after the controversy surrounding Jones fades. Some other personal favorites: Chuck Liddell vs Wanderlei Silva UFC 79 Anderson Silva vs Dan Henderson UFC 82 Demian Maia vs Jason MacDonald UFC 87 BJ Penn vs Georges St. Pierre UFC 94 Clay Guida vs Nate Diaz UFC 94 Anderson Silva vs Forrest Griffin UFC 101 Chris Leben vs Yoshihiro Akiyama UFC 116 Michael Bisping vs Yoshihiro Akiyama UFC 120 Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynard UFC 125 Randy Couture vs Lyoto Machida UFC 129 Jon Jones vs Lyoto Machida UFC 140 Nate Diaz vs Donald Cerrone UFC 141 Wanderlei Silva vs Rich Franklin UFC 147 Carlos Condit vs Georges St. Pierre UFC 154 Carlos Condit vs Johny Hendricks UFC 158 Georges St. Pierre vs Johny Hendricks UFC
