Guest Posted August 23, 2009 Report Share Posted August 23, 2009 Fighter Bio: Basically im thinking on the Fighter profile page you could have a little section under which the manager can post a little write up on the fighters background to offer a little more colour and character to the fighters. So for instance one of my fighters who is a Muay Thai machine would have a write up about how he has left pro mauy thai in his homeland of Thailand (where he was a champion) to try a career in MMA, you could write anything you want though based on the fighter you have made, it could be an optional feature on the character creation section. The idea being that org owners could include any interesting info in their news sections for instance after signing a new fighter, they could mention his background etc. just thought it could add a little colour. Fighter Blog: Again on the fighter profile screen you could enable the manager to post a section where the fighter makes comments about up and coming fights, fights that have happened, signing new contracts, training regimes or gym changes, fight preparation etc. It could be for the eyes of those who choose to view the fighters profile and would not litter the news sections then. It could be good fun for upcoming or previous opponents to see what their opponent said/thinks or just again to add some colour to the game. I often browse the top fighters in the same org as my fighters and upcoming/previous opponents. Sometimes i wish the two features i mentioned were in the game just to add some colour. Guest Posted August 23, 2009 Report Share Posted August 23, 2009 Also the bio could be something you could update/edit as time goes on, so you can build a bit of a history so by the time his career ends you can have a biography of his journey, the championships he won, the opportunities that he just didn't grasp, the highs the lows.... Problem is too many people will abuse this. You'll see some retarded shit in some people's bio or whatever. Our fighters will likely live a year in real life at least so I figured I'd waste time messing with that thing when I wasn't busy on here. I'm not being serious in none of that, it's all for entertainment some of it is funny, some of it isn't, if you're offended by any of it just stop reading... lol but my point being is there would be a lot worse in some scenerios that could possibely offend a lot of people and just give people reasons to bitch. I dont see how you can abuse it, you dont gain anything from it and if you read one thats crap or offensive then you just click back and dont read anymore. People can abuse their fighters name and nickname just as easily and thats always in view. Its just a good way of allowing people to add abit of colour and cherecter to their fighters, if people are immature and want write about their fighter being an ex-pornstart etc then they make themsleves look stupid. Imagine if YB Sol had a bio, it would add more colour and info to one of the most recognised figures on the game who despite his status still feels like a mystery man as do all the figthers. Maybe sort of how you do the tale of the fight stuff, just a few set options to where they could click them and not be abused. Only then did i even mention anything that might be looked down on. To be fair all that ex-convict, criminal etc etc stuff would get old quick because every immature nob on here would think that thats cool and make profiles like that so it would get pretty boring reading profiles if they were all like that. I suggested it as a feature to add colour and background to the fighters as characters, not really as a gimmick for managers to entertain themselves by writing ridiculous unrealistic profiles, i guess looking at it it probably wouldn't work as most of them would be like that.
