Adapt To Fight & Prediction Sliders thread

Im wondering if... for example... you are fighting a takedown artist

And You predict 100% takedown attempts and he actually goes 33% takedown attempts, should/is that more effective to avoid a takedown then predicting 33% takedowns?

Because essentially all you are telling your fighter to do is, look for takedowns

I would agree with this, but your fighter should also be much more susceptible to being struck even by a lower level striker with imo.

Agreed Lance. A bonus to hit of sorts should be rewarded to the takedown specialist fighter who opts to throw more strikes to setup the takedown as opposed to spamming takedowns. I'm not certain if this already occurs but if it doesn't then perhaps it should. In addition, if the lower-level fighter has a good to very good KO power hidden, which will more than likely show in the TOTT unless the physicals are trained up and the TOTT ops to go with flexibility or cardio, then the KO power should be increased for the takedown specialist if the opponent sets 100% takedowns for the prediction

My bad Handgrenaide, I didn't express that properly. I meant to refer to the bonus chance of strikes landing, and in essence, there's a slightly improved chance to KO an opponent due to the additional damage, should it be sufficient of course. If the recipient of the increased percentage of strikes has a glass jaw then their chance of being dropped increases. My apologies for not being clear initially

If your standup skills are much better than your opponents, your defenses are so overwhelming that even if you set your takedown prediction to 100%, they still can't hardly hit you in a meaningful way. I don't want my fighter to adapt to block their punches and kicks because they are so ineffective as to be meaningless, even if I have made myself more vulnerable by predicting 100% takedowns. Adapting would mean I am giving up some of my takedown defense to defend their punches and kicks that don't matter in reality, and that is exactly what I don't want.

Good point but that will only work with newly created fighters. Most that have trained for a decent amount of time should be able to mix it up a bit.
