"There was NEVER any trash talk from me towards Vermeer, not once. I said numerous times I want to fight him because he's the only one who earned it and I pushed for him to be my next challenger. I trashed everyone else who tried shit talking without earning anything, and then I tried to encourage fighters to want to fight me with a different approach.

Vermeer beat me fair and square, his first punch he landed early had me dazed and seeing stars and I could not recover because he is a smart fighter, a tactical fighter and would not allow me to recover. He is a different fighter then he first time we faced and I am grateful he is allowing me to be his first title defence. I will get my belt back, I knew this was a possibility, everyone faces defeat in life, but I'll come back better, and no shame in losing to a beast like Vermeer."

"You know your doing well in your career when you get some haters. I had to look up this Ginaka guy's fighters because they're a bunch of nobodies. No shame in losing, as no one's going to leave this island undefeated. Go get that title back and represent jiu-jitsu."

On a remote peninsula, in the dark of night, a fire burns on a lonely beach as Papa Shango dances and prays to the dark and violent gods of The Island.

He has made the blood sacrifice; now the time has come for retribution, and Van Houten will be the victim who pays the highest price to the dark forces that surround the rightful heavyweight champion, Papa Shango.

Pyry Kontio Meets King Diamond in Island FC 18 Main Event
Will the Island FC lightweight champion defend his title?
The lightweight title is on the line when defending champion Pyry Kontio squares off against King Diamond in a three round affair. The oddsmakers have this one razor thin, slightly favoring Kontio (-117) over Diamond (-113) by the slimmest of margins.
I believe they are gravely underestimating Kontio’s submission game.
There is no doubt that King Diamond has the hands necessary to give Kontio problems. A powerful lightweight who walks around about six pounds heavier than the champ, Diamond has shown he can finish people on the feet. Working from the southpaw stance in his QFC debut, the man they call King showed off a strong right hook that had Alex De Nascimento reeling before finishing him off with a wrecking ball of a left straight.
Since that fight, however, Diamond has mostly abandoned the standup, preferring to use the wrestling skills he’s worked so hard to develop. In his title eliminator against Sun Lee, Diamond worked for five takedowns from the clinch, throwing just four punch combinations and landing just one.
If he tries to grapple with Pyry Kontio, he’s going to have a bad night.
While only sporting a purple belt in the martial art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Kontio has shown a ruthless aggression on the mat that has taken The Island by storm. In his first fight outside the QFC, Pyry locked on a triangle choke in under thirty seconds. He debuted here at Island FC 14, submitting Obat Timur with a kimura preceeded by some savvy punches and elbows to create the opening.
In his championship victory over Herminio Herculano, Kontio was at his absolute best, using an americana to set up the arm triangle choke, forcing the former champ to submit in the 2nd round.
Pyry Kontio has shown that if you try to grapple with him, he will be looking for the submission, and he has a strong track record of finding it. Whether or not King Diamond tries to keep it on the feet — and, if he’s succesful doing so — will be the story of this fight.

"I hear that Vermeer has not signed the contract for our trilogy yet. I am disappointed because the fight I supposed to happen in less than a week and I think he is trying to play head games. I am ready now and will be come fight night. I have many positive, great things in my career to come. My brothers revenge victory winning back his Slaughterhouse a Title motivates me a lot."

We are still negotiating his new contract Jung. It would not be in our best interests to sign the fight before we sign the contract. We've spoken in an interview with JJ about this, but he hasn't published it yet. If our next move is to defend the title, then you're the first one to contend for sure.

Alexander Vermeer

*Ryan Hunt walks in with Vermeer*

"I'll be Vermeer's spokeperson, poor fella isn't that good talkinwise."

JJ:You are coming off a very big win over a great fighter and you are now a champion

things are going good for you right now champ would you agree?

RH: JJ, son, this is the start of bit things. What kind of things you say? BIG THANGS! Vermeer is now the #1 pfp guy in the company. I would say he should be the #1 pfp guy on the Island, that can beating fat guy that is on top right now is a disgrace

JJ:when i say the name Hop Sing Jung what is the first thing that comes to mind?

RH: Hop Sing Jung is already an Island legend. We got nothing but good things to say about him. I've had some criticisem about him taking an eazy match instead of a superfight, but he always fought everyone the org put in front of him, and I can't blame him for that.

JJ:is a rubber match next with Hop Sing Jung ?

RH: Honestly, we are not big fans of immediate rematches. Alexander has his sights set on a bigger price. That's right Pyry Kontio, we're calling you out. Alexander wants to be the first two division Island FC champion. However, after Island FC and Vermeer have sorted his contract, we will fight anyone put in front of us.

JJ:how do you see that fight going?

RH: Vermeer vs Jung will always be a factor of who can keep the fight at his strong point. However, I think, as long as Vermeer can avoid the takedown for the better part of the first round, he'll always win that fight. He's just too precise and too powerfull. That counts for both the fight against Jung, as the fight against Kontio

JJ:word is you just got offered a new contract champ? drink are on you right?

RH: Actually, we are still negotiating. The money is very good, we can't say anything bad about that, but we don't like getting locked up in a contract for a long time. We're still discussing if we should sign the contract, or try free agency.

The drinks part though, Vermeer isn't much of a drinker, it's impossible to get the guy out of the gym. Everyone is always welcome to drink with me though, as long as you pay for your own damn drinks.

JJ:How are things in Island Fc for you?

RH: Island FC has always treated us well. I've had some discussions about the matchmaking in the past, and don't get along with all the staff, but if we have any problem, we can go to the owner and it'll get fixed right away.

JJ:Thank you for your time champ

RH: See ya, JJ

JJ:I would like to thank everyone for making #ISLANDFC #1 on buzz !

Maybe he should take a fight in the right weightclass too, before he starts calling out the big boys. Freakin pesty hobbit. Who the fuck is only 150cm? I've had meals that are bigger than him.

Daniel Tinto (290284)

"Well my debut went as expected. I won. On all cards. In all rounds. Even against a supposed equal with a brown belt in Jiu-jitsu I won. On all cards. In all rounds. So now I am looking forward to my next fight that I will win. This time I think I may choke someone out. We'll see. Any tappers out there? Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough"
