$2,000,000 Designs

I strongly suggest you hire a pro to do this. Your best pick at the moment is very decent, but in the real-world your logo is your brand : it's probably the first thing people will see when looking at your business and that's what they will remember.

I would think about this carefully : my girlfriend had to redo hers after a year and getting feedback from clients, and it was a huge waste of money considering she had to redo her business cards, banners, etc.

It won't cost you that much really in the long run.

Regarding the best current logo being proposed, I unfortunately am not a great designer, so all I can do is give criticism, not suggestion :(

My 2 cents on the #1 pick itself and your target market : I agree 100 % with what the person who made the logo wanted to represent, but without reading his description and intent, here are my thoughts : I would say it's perfect for the athletes and weekend warriors : it's aggressive, bold, and very "structured" (the opposite of artsy, free spirit type..). However, for the rest of your target market, it seems less health oriented, caring, etc.

Specifically, the Ts are very sharp, they actually look like hammers. The tri-effect of the hammers are very reminiscent of industrial type companies, so very corporate like. Considering your business is very personal, softer tones and imagery is necessary. Again, this is really more on the health side of your business. For the performance side it's perfect, I would probably change the colors to be more bold.

As I mentionned, my girlfiend just had her logo and business cards redone (she owns a health clinic, including a nutritionist), and regarding fonts, I would say for sure no multiple colors in your description.

Also, perhaps you should clarify what your business is called : TTT, or TTT, RDN, Nutrition and Health Services? Usually, your logo is just your logo. Your name is just your name, and your description is just your description. If you are trying to build a business card or banner, that's just a question of moving those 3 pieces and making it look great depending on your medium.

I believe your business is TTT only, the rest is just a description. A suggestion : unless everybody knows what RDN is, I would put the full meaning instead of the abbreviation. I would also remove the last part or be a bit more specific, especially regarding the Health Services. In my country, certain health practices are reserved for specific professionals : I would guess it's the same everywhere.

From what you described, it seems like you are only offering nutrition services, but to different types of people. It would add a lot more focus on your profession (RDN) if you only had that on your card.

Anyways, my 2 cents, good luck!

Hmm i think the orange was a good choice after all... or a light grey. Works better with the 2 pixel up for sure though.

And yeah, that's some smart feedback from Splitm here. Still, there are tons of talentfree media people around haha, i've seen so much horrible, horrible stuff on highest level even, wow. If we can help with some ideas, that's a good thing.

I like what you did there, it is all a bit more in balance without the RDN on top... i'd def keep it this way. The stronger colours compared to the orange one bring out the flaws of the "Talk to Troy" font unfortunately. The font for "RDN Nutrition..." seems to become problematic in small, too, looked good in post #28 though.

This setting, softer colours again, that's what i think. It's tough.

SplitM - Much appreciated advice. I agree with much of what you said. I did this contest, because I would like a logo and I have the game money to spend. I see some real talented artists create cool logos for in game things that could be used in real life and for much cheaper than what I am offering, That was really my idea when starting this. Lets see what the Tycoon community artists could do. Sure, I am spending funny money for a logo, but so what. If a designer is willing to do it, I am willing to pay. Technically funny money is real money since people trade Tycoon dollars for VIP membership all the time placing value on Tycoon currency. This whole answer isn't directed all at you, just also answering another post earlier in the thread.

As to your post. An RDN = Registered Dietitian Nutritionist meaning I have completed college, earned my degree, passed my national exams and received censurer in my state to practice nutrition in a clinical setting or with the public. As for my client base, I believe nutrition is all encompassing. We all need to eat, and in my opinion we should all eat to benefit our health. I'm currently in oncology working with cancer patients on a daily basis. I could easily make that my specialty which would be lucrative both emotionally and financially, but I do not want to specialize on that exclusively. In my spare time I work with the general public - Kids, Parents, Elderly, Diabetics, Kidney Disease, Gym Goers, High School Football Players, Weekend Warriors, Amateur/Professional Fighters. I like having a mix of clients because it always keeps me up to date with research in a variety of areas and allows me to experience many different types of people.

I will agree with you about the aggressiveness of VK logo. For athletes and weekend warriors it fits well, for other health aspects maybe not so much, but I still think its effective. Many hospital logos have similar fonts.

My business truly is Talk To Troy and maybe I should shorten it to just that. My issue is TTT web address is gone so I was able to get Talktotroyrdn.com hence why I labeled it Talk To Troy, RDN . That as well as RDN is pretty well known as dietitian in America (maybe not a great deal, but it does carry some weight)

As for why Nutrition & Health Services - I am also a Holistic Health Coach - its a designation that does not carry much weight, but I believe it to be an important aspect to my business. I did take courses for this designation and the ideas I bring to the table from this side of things are only ideas that have scientific backing behind them, not shot in the dark ideas. I like the holsitic side of things and try to practice some form of the philosophy with all my patients and clients.

I hope that helps explain for you as well as the designers. I truly appreciate your feedback because it has made me look a bit deeper into things.

Currently it looks like only two designers are working hard on this and I like the designs. I'll let it run through the weekend and see where we are.

Feel free to comment more if anyone wants.

Without the "RDN" it looks a bit less squashed in the original shape, too.
