I didn't set anything last night, Thout I had time this morning! I was wrong. At least I popped a granit Chin and has good moral after losing. Seems to have a decent learning speed as well. He also fought off a bunch of Submissions, There is hope for this young man. As long as he isn't a bleeder and has pillows for hands we might be in good shape. (He didn't through any punches) :( 1 takedown and never got back up :(

Good Fight Augustus

Yeah i was wondering why your guy who was mainly a boxer shoot on a guy who had 12 wrestling now i know :graduated: .He actually did pretty good to be honest a lot of potential there ;)

Fuck, forgot to set sliders due to a real busy work week lol. Sloppy ass fight haha it was hard to read play by play, but Rocky did score a granite chin, and seems to be an ok learner.

Tycoon 101, don't forget your sliders... I'm bad enough with them as it is hahhaa wouldn't have made much difference.

Loser tourney is a sick idea, keeps us alive for something!!!!

Thank fuck Ryan sent me a flight invite, I didn't realise how quickly the time had flown and I thought I still had a while yet :D Hopefully my fighter doesn't turn out to be shit

So if I fly you out and back for the next fight how does that work? Talk about an awkward flight home. Loser sits in back of plane with cheap vodka and winner sits in front with the hookers and cocaine?

I'll be nice and fly you guys out this time. Either way, there'll be blackjack, and hookers, and cocaine, and alcohol...In fact, forget the blackjack

On the 9th June 2016, Bushido's Road to Gold tournament begins its second round, taking place at Hayashi's Lounge in Tokyo. The first round of the tournament saw 8 men earn a victory and they have since moved on to the next step in the bracket. Additionally, 8 men would find themselves defeated, and they have since been given a second chance in the way of a loser's bracket. There is still a long way to go for the future Champion, and we are ever getting closer.

The match ups for the standard bracket, second round are as follows:

Raymond Babbitt vs. Jalaluddin Aziz

Boaty McBoatFace vs. Vitali Volkov

Robert Owens Jr. vs. Greg "The One" Conor

Cagatay Ulusoy vs. Isamu Yamada

The match ups for the loser's bracket, first round are as follows:

Slick Rick vs. Kuzuri Takashi

Rocky Usadastaireem vs Vito Mancini

Nate Richardson vs. Jezza Kyle

Yasuki Kono vs. Elijah Judah

The current brackets:

The men in the standard bracket who find themselves defeated in this round, will be placed into the loser's bracket. Those that are already in the loser's bracket, and suffer a loss will be disqualified from the tournament.

Along with the 16 Lightweights battling it out in both brackets, 2 additional fights are set to take place as Featherweights Esteban Oliveira and Rostislav Kosayrov fight for the opportunity to become Bushido's inaugural Featherweight Champion and earn their place in company history. Also, a Light-Heavyweight bout between young Korean prospect Bailey Seung-Jin and the little older Spaniard Demestos Bleach, has been booked as the co-main event.

(sorry for lack of a preview or other content, the last weeks of semester have me swamped with work)

Along with the great victories that eight men earned this evening, KO of the night was awarded to Elijah Judah, and Fight of the Night was between the warriors Rocky Usadastaireem and Vito Mancini.

The next round will take place on the 7th of July, one month from now. The reason behind this is to allow for more training as I don't want the tournament to be too harsh on your fighter's growth. This definitely has nothing to do with me forgetting, and booking up an entire card on the original date - I promise. For real though, I fucked up and booked a card without thinking about the next date for this properly, I'm sorry if its an issue for anyone and their fighters. If this proves to be too long for those that remain after next round, the duration can be reverted to three weeks. Also, if any of the eliminated fighters want to be released from their contracts, offered fights, or given a long lay-off for training - please don't be shy to ask. Thank you, and good fights. :)

This just in from 2am this morning

And that's the end of the fight!
Jacob Koch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Koch has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1 round of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision.
Judge Frank Antenori scores the fight 9:10
Judge Jack Bonds scores the fight 9:10
Judge Percy O'Donnell scores the fight 9:10

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jacob Koch!

Humors, seriously fuck off

Dammit... I really suck at these tournaments. I dont have the luck of the draw.

RNG was shit for you in that fight tbf. With the amount you landed, either I have a really good chin, or you have meh power, or maybe a combo of both, but if you had decent power I would have lost that fight 99% of the time. At least our fighters can get pissed together on the jet home

Bushido 9: Road to Gold Round 3 / Oliveira vs. Westerberg

Main Card Preview

Main Event

Featherweight Championship Bout

Esteban Oliveira (5-0-0, 2-0-0) vs. Gunnar "Mountain" Westerberg (3-1-0, 3-0-0)

The Final fight of the evening will be for the Featherweight crown as the current reigning defending Champion, Esteban Oliveira aims to defend his belt for the very first time, against one of the division's toughest in Gunnar Westerberg. Oliveira remains undefeated since making his debut on the Brazilian regional scene only five fights ago, as he has continued to knockout every man that he has been matched with, including two under the company: Ito Nakamura and top contender Rostislav Kosaryov. Westerberg started his career off with a loss, although the fight was a serious mismatch, and he has since redeemed himself as he has picked up three straight wins in an impressive fashion, finishing Ivan Johnson and Richard Audette in the process. These two men are similar in fighting style, both being sprawl-n-brawl boxers with a tendency to avoid grappling exchange entirely, with Westerberg even steering away from dirty boxing. It would be a fair assessment to say that both of these men are equal when it comes to Boxing, with Oliveira only slightly edging ahead in Wrestling skills. Both men clearly posses one punch knockout power so many are eager to see if either will try to fight safe, or come out all guns blazing. What could be more interesting than watching two of the best Featherweight strikers in the company go at each other wearing only 4oz gloves, with the opportunity of earning or retaining Championship status on the line? Nothing, that's what.

Co-Main Event

Light-Heavyweight Bout

Bailey "Beast of Busan" Seung-Jin (3-0-0, 2-0-0) vs. Amir "The Man" Aini (1-0-0, Debut)

The Co-Main Event of the evening will welcome back a familiar face as one of Korea's brightest prospects Bailey Seung-Jin, steps into the Bushido ring for a third time against the company newcomer, Amir Aini. The heavy-handed "Beast of Busan" made his company debut on the flagship event as he fought in the headliner against Jon Jones where he dispatched of him in less than a minute, only being hit once during the fight. Since then, he has picked up a second win in which he finished Demestos Bleach in even quicker time, not missing a single one of his strikes. Amir Aini on the other hand is more of an enigma as he has yet to make his company debut, which unfortunately for him poses a great challenge. Seung-Jin is a Boxer with reportedly decent Wrestling skills, although he has yet to display any of the latter as he has only fought fellow strikers. Aini possesses potential problems for the Korean as he is a grappler, boasting a purple belt as well as some Wrestling skills. Bailey will aim to keep the fight standing where he can unload powerful bombs, and "The Man" will no doubt aim to direct the match to the mat, making two very different gameplans from two very different men. It is no surprise that Seung-Jin is penned to fight the winner of Kiatsongrit and Sam McCullen as he will have definitely earned it if he gets past the Malaysian this evening. Similarly, a win for Aini will set him up for big things as there will be a number of possible big fights available to him.

[undercard Bouts]

Samuel "Leggie" Bedree (2-1-0, Debut) vs. Joker Leto (1-2-0, 1-1-0)

Adam "KO" Silver (Debut, Debut) vs. Bruce Banner (0-1-0, 0-1-0)

Road to Gold

Round 3 Match

Jalaluddin "The Hashassin" Aziz (2-0-0, 2-0-0) vs. Boaty McBoatFace (2-0-0, 2-0-0)

This third round match is between two bright prospects as Afghanistan's Jalaluddin Aziz meets Londoner Boaty McBoatFace for a chance to progress to Road to Gold's semi-finals. In the opening round of the competition, "The Hashassin" was matched with Kuzuri Takahashi, a Boxer like himself - but instead of opting to stand and trade with the young Asian, Aziz quickly took the fight to the ground and submitted him. After winning his second tournament bout against Raymond Babbitt by means of a very fast Knockout, the Afghani progressed and is now faced with a whole new challenge. This challenge has a name - albeit an unusual one - as Boaty McBoatFace looks to cause an upset to the so-far successful run of his opponent. Like Aziz, Boaty has won his past two fights in the competition after going the distance in both of his bouts, one with the Russian Wrestler Vitali Volkov and another with the short notice stand-in, Rocky Usadastaireem. As previously mentioned, Jalaluddin is primarily a Boxer, but he has demonstrated that he has a diverse skill-set and is not afraid of grappling exchanges despite his lack of high-level Wrestling or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience. McBoatFace on the other hand has a much more specialised set of abilities as he has great Boxing as well as Wrestling, appearing to be equal in both disciplines. As we know, the winner of this bout will progress to the standard bracket semi-finals, and the loser will find themselves fallen into the Loser's Bracket.

Road to Gold

Round 3 Match

Robert Owens Jr. (2-0-0, 2-0-0) vs. Cagatay Ulusoy (2-0-0, 2-0-0)

The first of the two third round matches will be between two exciting youngsters as Scouse prizefighter Robert Owens Jr. faces off against one of Istanbul's finest prospects in Cagatay Ulusoy. Owens dominated in his opening round bout after cracking the once-thought-to-be Iron chin of Nate Richardson, finishing him in less than a round. Similarly, Ulusoy had his way with his opponent Yasuki Kono and the bout ended in the same way, with Ulusoy emerging victorious. The two had impressive performances in the second round too, as they came up against much harder opponents than in the previous, yet still emerged victorious. Owens specialty is his Wrestling, which when combined with his not so far behind Boxing, allows him to be a serious threat when closing the distance and employing a clinch-boxing strategy. Whether that will work against his opponent this evening is yet to be determined as the Turk is also a Wrestler, boasting greater skills than the Brit, who interestingly enough also prefers to fight close and dirty. Owens Jr. may look to keep the fight at a distance, away from the close exchanges as he may struggle when faced with a superior Wrestler, but only he and his coaches truly know what gameplan he will be looking to execute. I would imagine that Cagatay will look to repeat history and fight this fight how he did the ones before it. A win for either man will allow them to progress into the next round of the standard bracket, and a loss will launch them into the Loser's Bracket, with a chance at redemption.

[Road to Gold - Loser's Bracket Matches]

Isamu "Hachiman" Yamada (1-1-0, 1-1-0) vs. Kuzuri Takahashi (1-1-0, 1-1-0)

Greg "The One" Conor" (1-1-0, 1-1-0) vs. Vito Mancini (1-1-0, 1-1-0)

Vitali "The Silent Tsunami" Volkov (1-1-0, 1-1-0) vs. "Big" Jezza Kyle (1-1-0, 1-1-0)

Ramond Babbitt (1-1-0, 1-1-0) vs. Elijah "Easy E" Judah (1-1-0, 1-1-0)
