Guest
Yeah, well, my attempts to contact this guy have gone unsuccessful, but I know he's reading my messages. He released one of my Casino fighters (before closing the org) when I asked him to, but he doesn't seem to mind going bankrupt. I feel bad for the new managers that he hires that don't know any better.

I've washed my hands of it, although I think Joel Nicola might be rolling in his grave at these match-ups.
Victorio
Have to push the thread because Eduardo Silva is no longer a VIP user! He's back to normal and enjoying his last success with his 150k "world champion" who just won a title fight in his org against a 299k challenger.
KRad
... why does anyone care if someone runs his org into the ground and/or doesn't want to take other people's advice? What is this, a fucking knitting circle? He (or someone else) bought his VIP and he's entitled to run his business however he likes for as long as he is a VIP. He is also entitled to offer whatever fights he likes. If people accept, that's on them - if a newbie accepts, that's unfortunate but the joy of being young is in doing dumb shit and learning from it.
Victorio
It's just a discussion of the org owner's intention and I know everything is up to him. I agree with you stating noobs are supposed to do dumb things at first. Anyway, the way he exploits the dumbness ain't bright at all. That's it. In my opinion, it's valid to discuss faulty business practices that could drive away potential new members to an arguably small community. If I joined the game and got fucked over on my first week, and the forums were filled with people saying "well, that's unfortunate, but it's your own fault!" I might not return to that game. It's hard enough retaining a lot of the new members to stay with us when they realize how much time goes into creating a proper fighter, let alone with sharks preying on them. Sorry, I'll go put my hair curlers back in and get back to my nails.

KRad
There was little discussion about cherry picking - as everyone knows that is a douche move - and plenty of discussion about how he refused to listen to someone else's advice. Some random yahoo who is PM'ing him out of nowhere, telling him he knows better and that he should be followed. Maybe it was the curlers that decided him not to take the advice? Everyone know's a serious business lady has either a bob or a low pony-tail. Granted, he had only been involved with the game for the last two weeks, so he wouldn't have known any of that.

KRad
Aw you guys are so sweet. I have seen a lot of negativity/bitching/whinging in the forums in the week or two I've been back. Unsure if it was like this previously, but it is pretty noticeable. There's plenty of stuff to rage against, but, there's plenty of stuff we can do to help other managers/improve the game and community too that's more productive than the whining so we should focus on that stuff I reckon - but that's just my opinion. kentalomu
I run a big org, and I have his one manager who has not accepted a single fight the entire time I have been matchmaking because I am not giving any of his three fighters easy enough matches. Even when I send out offers of fights where his fighters would be 2:1 (in my eyes) favourites he still refuses them and says that they're too good and he wants easy fights. SO frustrating because as someone running an org I strongly care about fights being decent matchups which are either really close in skill level/morale/types of abilities (if it is further down in the division rankings) or suitable hype/pop matchups if higher in the division. So subsequently I have just told him to have some integrity and now I will simply wait for him to reach out to me if he wants any (fair) fights in my org. On the subject- I do think it is important for the quality of the game to some degree that people call out org matchmakers if they appear to be consistently showing clear bias and not playing for the sport of it. I can understand cherry picking but it isn't in he spirit of the game. In saying that if you are one of those managers (like me with most of my fighters) who doesnt care who the opponent is and just wants to see how they go, then that's cool and at least the underdog will stand to win some hype. GBK16
Kenatlomu, you're best off just releasing them from the org. If they are really bad, name them so other org owners know and wont fall into the same problem with them. Apart from that, not much you can do

Some of my favorite fights have been where my fighter had a primary skill disadvantage and came out with a big KO win. People put way too much emphasis on primaries. That being said, as someone else has mentioned already: you're better off politely parting ways with a manager that continues to reject fair fights in favor of easy fights. He will get upset and go off to find an organization that will cater to his selfish desires. It's win-win.
