Mentor
Hunt only lost to champs? What? Did I dream that bit about Sean McCorkle submitting him with (i think?) a kimura from guard like a white belt? I meant since he joined the UFC. Timqwe
I meant since he joined the UFC. That was in the UFC...
Mentor
I do not remember seeing that fight (that fight also happened to be his first fight), anyway, besides that one fight, his only losses in the UFC were against: Santos, Werdum, Miocic and the last one against Overeem. TAYNE
It's crazy to think Mark Hunt went from being tapped from guard by Sean McCorkle to perennial championship contender. That's another problem with the Bisping analogy - Mark Hunt is just too damn unique. I don't think there's anyone else quite like him. Mentor
I thought Hunt was done about 10 years ago, he was even falling off the K-1 scene towards the end of their run, but he made himself into a decent MMA fighter in the end. In his early fight's he was getting mauled easily because he had no takedown D and no BJJ defence, but he is decent in staying on his feet these days. It helps he fights at HW and he can always rely on the KO power.
JimCornette
No, WWE is WWE and the UFC is UFC.Trash talk does not = WWE.Is trash talk/getting yourself over with the audience more important these days? Not really, it has always been been important, just now that people like Chael and McGregor who are actually good at it have risen to fame over the years have highlighted it.UFC is definitely trying to create more stars now though, having them do media and e.t.c. - all of these hype trains have been getting crushed though. So if you can't fight, you aren't going to make it anywhere in MMA whether you can talk shit or not.
TAYNE
True that. In fact, pro wrestlers learned to talk trash from Muhammad Ali anyway, so if anything UFC is becoming Boxing. Thank you fuck you bye* *(trust me he gets it)
