ClubberWinger
RFL 45 - Rise Up! http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1538082630Untitled.png Main Event Preview http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/7/7b18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24w16.jpg Wale "White Chocolate" Ammond Vs Scott Smith Natural weight: 155 LBS Natural weight:160 LBS Age: 28 Age: 27 Record: 10-4-0 Record: 9-5-0 Country: United States Country: United States Rank:2 Rank:N/A Height: 172 cm Height: 175 cm The main event features former RFL lightweight champion Wale "White Chocolate" Ammond taking on a recent IXF import Scott Smith. Ammond after failing to defend his belt against Stoddler is looking to climb his way back to the number 1 contender spot in order to regain his former throne. He'll be matched up against Scott Smith who fights in a similar style to him as both fighters are deadly submission artists who shy away from the striking aspect of mixed martial arts. All 9 of Smith's wins have come from submission as Ammond is no slouch of his own with 5 submission victories to his name. This should be an entertaining grappling contest as two high level grapplers go at it. Co-Main Event http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27w4.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w21.jpg Frederich Lawson VS Georges "The Guillotine" Danton Natural weight: 205 LBS Natural weight: 215 LBS Age: 27 Age: 21 Record: 8-6-0 Record: 5-2-0 Country: United States Country: United States Rank:N/A Rank:2 Height: 188 cm Height: 194 cm We've got a good one for you here for the co-main event. Having lost his title to Orndorf, former light heavyweight champion Georges "The Guillotine" Danton looks to get back on track against newcomer Frederich Lawson. Lawson is the better boxer of the two but Danton has the edge in every other facet of the fight game. What Lawson does have going for him is that he's got great KO power in those hands of his which he uses exceptionally well as evidenced by all 8 of his wins coming from KO. Danton also has a 100% finish rate in his 5 wins but we'll see if he's mentally recovered from that beating Orndorf put on him as there have been reports about his low morale following that loss. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26b14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/16/16w20.jpg Liam "Soul Eater" James VS Bon "Jon" Dones Natural weight: 215 LBS Natural weight: 222 LBS Age: 20 Age: 27 Record: 5-1-0 Record: 9-7-0 Country: England Country: United States Rank:4 Rank:N/A Height: 190 cm Height: 190 cm Liam "Soul Eater" James is another hot prospect for RISE as the 20 year old steps into the octagon against Bon "Jon" Dones at RISE 45. James has rebounded from his first career loss with a second round KO at RISE 41 and looks to make his way up to a title fight some time in the near future. Dones is a new RFL signing who's an exceptionally talented wrestler that's looking to take you down and pound your face in a la Khabib Nurmagomedov. James on the other hand is looking to piece you up with his striking and he's done so decisively with 5 knockout wins. We'll see how James can deal with the pressure of a wrestler in this fight as Dones will want no part of keeping this fight as a striking contest. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14808662576544.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/17/17w25.jpg Ronald Mateo Suarez VS Glass Joe Natural weight: 150 LBS Natural weight: 135 LBS Age: 21 Age: 27 Record: 4-4-0 Record: 8-2-0 Country: United States Country: France Rank:4 Rank: Bantamweight Champion © 145 LBS N/A Height: 175 cm Height: 165 cm We've got a good one for you here as Bantamweight champ Glass Joe moves up a weight class to the featherweight class to take on Ronald Mateo Suarez who fell short in his last match against the featherweight champ Andre 3000. The 21 yr old Suarez is looking to build up some hype for another shot at the title while Glass Joe is looking to put the division on notice with his featherweight debut. If he does manage to get the win here we've gotta be looking at a super fight between the two champs. But lets not get ahead of ourselves as Suarez is no pushover. In fact on paper Joe is in for a tough night as Suarez has a major size advantage and is much better in the clinch. Joe's got wonderful boxing but it'll be hard to over come the reach disadvantage while Suarez is a superb boxer in his own right. Suarez's strength also lies in his top level wrestling but both fighters are fairly average on the ground. It'll be interesting for sure to see how Joe fares at 145.
ClubberWinger
Preliminary Card http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15291544771156.gif http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41w1.jpg Musa "XG" Kendali VS "Hefty Man Slut" Pension Buckets Natural weight: 284 LBS Natural weight: 265 LBS Age: 21 Age: 27 Record: 4-3-0 Record: 5-6-0 Country: Senegal Country: United States Rank:3 Rank:N/A Height:196 cm Height: 200 cm Musa Kendali is 21 yr old prospect coming off a KO of the night performance against Thor Ragardo and he looks to continue off that performance against Buckets. Pension Buckets has not been having a great time recently going 2-5 in his last 7 fights. Kendali is more of a traditional boxer while Buckets has more of a well rounded striking repertoire as he's a good boxer with a Muay Thai base. Both men are decent wrestlers and are about even on the ground. Should be a good heavyweight fight between two hard hitters boasting 100% finish rates. Who's going to land a solid hit first between two big boys is the question of this fight. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/43/43w12.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/16/16b2.jpg Timmy "Test Subject" Thompson VS Lani Kirby Natural weight: 170 LBS Natural weight: 175 LBS Age: 26 Age: 26 Record: 6-3-0 Record: 7-4-0 Country: Bhutan Country: United Kingdom Rank: N/A Rank:N/A Height:165 cm Height: 182 cm A couple new faces to RFL here as Timmy Thompson and Lani Kirby face off for a rematch from their IXF days. Kirby won the first go around by armbar but that was 3 months ago. Thompson has since earned his purple belt and looks to avenge that submission loss. On paper he also has the advantage in the striking department as he's a wonderful kickboxer. Kirby's strength lies with his wrestling and he might have to rely on it if he starts getting lit up on his feet. How much it helps him against an improved Thompson once he gets him to the ground is another question. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/18/18w12.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w22.jpg Mike "Swick" Quick VS Chief "Red" Wolf Natural weight: 219 LBS Natural weight: 199 LBS Age: 27 Age: 27 Record: 5-5-0 Record: 6-3-0 Country: United States Country: United States Rank:5 Rank:N/A Height:191 cm Height: 190 cm This matchup will be showing off a new free agent signing Chief Wolf coming over from NJMMA. Wolf's primarily a grappler and he'll be facing off against a strong striker in Mike Quick. Both fighters have major flaws in their skillset at the moment but we'll see who can take advantage of it. Quick may be great on his feet but he's had trouble stopping takedowns as he's allowed 57% of his opponents takedown attempts while looking pretty lost on the ground. Wolf on the other hand has won all 6 of his fights by submission but when he's failed to take his opponent down he's been knocked out cold in the first minute for all three of his losses.
ClubberWinger
Undercard http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/30/30w33.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11w1.jpg Nuno Pontes VS Anthony "Little Falcone" Falcone Natural weight: 200 LBS Natural weight: 190 LBS Age: 27 Age: 19 Record: 4-4-0 Record: 2-0-0 Country: Mexico Country: United States Rank:N/A Rank: 3 Height:188 cm Height: 191 cm Up next we've got an undefeated prospect Anthony Falcone who's taking on Nuno Pontes who's looking to shut down the hype train. Going off MMA math Falcone should take this since he's coming off a nice win over Max Onera who won a unanimous decision over Pontes 3 months ago. But we all know MMA math means nothing so we've gotta see these two go at it. Pontes is your prototypical striker who's got strong TDD. Falcone much the same prefers to keep things standing but he's also a strong wrestler and a purple belt BJJ practitioner although he's never had to show off his ground game yet. If you like watching two excellent strikers do their thing this is going to be a match you want to keep an eye on. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8w14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/12/12b6.jpg Conour "The NOTorious" Mcnugget VS Pedro Changggg Natural weight: 161 LBS Natural weight: 157 LBS Age: 21 Age: 28 Record: 5-3-0 Record: 4-5-0 Country: Croatia Country:Mexico Rank: 4 Rank: N/A Height:180 cm Height: 177cm Our second fight features two high level kickboxers as as McNugget takes on Changggg. Changggg is the more well rounded striker but McNugget's the better wrestler and bigger threat on the ground. Both guys coming off a loss are looking to turn things around and get back on track and make their way up the rankings. Look for Changggg to keep his distance and McNugget to find a way to close in while avoiding power shots. Not much more needs to be said as we've seen both of these guys and we look forward to seeing if they've added anything new to their arsenals. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39b14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/3/3w9.jpg Son Gohan VS Niudu Kakka Natural weight: 165 LBS Natural weight: 150 LBS Age: 21 Age: 21 Record: 0-0-0 Record: 4-3-0 Country: Austria Country: Finland Rank: N/A Rank: N/A Height:170 cm Height: 177cm Our first match will be featuring two young prospects. Son Gohan will be debuting in his first professional fight against Niudu Kakka who started his career at RFL strong with 3 wins in a row but has been slumping lately coming off his second consecutive loss. This looks to be a fairly even fight on paper and should be pretty exciting. Both fighters are decent on their feet but their strengths lie more with their grappling and wrestling. Gohan may have the slight advantage at range while Kakka might prefer to clinch against Gohan. Otherwise, Kakka has the more decorated wrestling resume while Gohan has the experience advantage in jujutsu. Kakka's proven to have some power as all 4 of his wins have come by KO or TKO. Gohan on the other hand as this is his first professional fight we'll see what he's made of.

ClubberWinger
LACC -Conflict 03/10/18 Carlos Silverio VS "The G O A T" Cajun Puto Natural weight: 233 LBS Natural weight: 248 LBS Age: 20 Age: 20 Record: 0-1-0 Record: 4-3-0 Country: Brazil Country: United States Rank: 1 Rank: 2 Height:188 cm Height: 189 cm The main event features the defending LACC champion Carlos Silverio who managed to dethrone Percy Watson at our last grappling event defending his title for the first time against "The GOAT" Cajun Puto. This will the second time these two face off against each other as the first time they've gone head to head was in the first round of LACC 2. Silverio managed to find his way through Puto's defenses and submitted him with a rear naked choke. Puto managed to win out the rest of his tournament and will have his chance at redemption here. Puto is a sensational wrestler and his advantage there should play a part in how this all unfolds. Jack "The Grinder" Blood VS Rutger "The Blanket" Hermann Natural weight: 275 LBS Natural weight: 245 LBS Age: 19 Age: 19 Record: 3-0-0 Record: 4-3-0 Country: Brazil Country: United States Rank: 4 Rank: 5 Height:195 cm Height: 180 cm The co-main event features the undefeated Jack "The Grinder" Blood against Rutger "The Blanket" Hermann. Blood should have an advantage as he is a legitimate BJJ black belt and he's got height and weight on Hermann. Standing 15cm taller and weighing in 30lbs heavier Blood is the favourite. Hermann's no slouch as he's coming off two consecutive wins at LACC but the BJJ brown belt will have his hands full here. Hermann is the superior wrestler so look for him to use that wrestling technique to find himself a path to victory. The winner of this match has good reason to call for a shot at the title next. James Pinkerton VS Tyrone "Lugz" Sparxx Natural weight: 218 LBS Natural weight: 260 LBS Age: 27 Age: 19 Record: 0-0-0 Record: 3-4-0 Country: United States Country: United States Rank: N/A Rank: 3 Height:191 cm Height: 194 cm Another contest between two debuting grapplers will have Pinkerton facing Sparxx. With a mere 3cm height differential perhaps the 42 lb weight difference will play a factor. The smaller Pinkerton is a slightly better wrestler so he'll look to use that to his advantage. Sparxx is a jacked 19 yr old who might be looking to muscle his way past the technique advantage that the older Pinkerton has. Paddy "The Boa" Kisnorbo VS Rutger "The Blanket" Hermann Natural weight: 250 LBS Natural weight: 285 LBS Age: 25 Age: 25 Record: 0-0-0 Record: 0-0-0 Country: Australia Country: United States Rank: N/A Rank: N/A Height: 200 cm Height: 198 cm A very even match up for these two except for Bruce "Mangler" Murillo having a 35 lbs weight advantage over Paddy "The Boa" Kisnorbo. The two brown belts will both be competing in their first professional contest. Murillo does come from a more well known camp as his manager Brunno Falcone is a decently known figure while not much is known about Kisnorbo nor his manager at the moment. "Red Ribbon Armys" Android Eleven VS Mono "The Great Muchacho" Loco Natural weight: 270 LBS Natural weight: 152 LBS Age: 19 Age: 24 Record: 1-2-0 Record: 1-3-0 Country: United States Country: Mexico Rank: N/A Rank: N/A Height: 160 cm Height: 168 cm Starting off the event we have "Red Ribbon Armys" Android Eleven facing off against Mono "The Great Muchacho" Loco. Android Eleven is the shorter but much heavier man of the two with over 100 lbs difference. Eleven Thus far has seems to have more of a aggressive style as all three of his prior matches at LACC have ended in submission with only one going his way. Loco however seems much more defensive as all four of his fights have gone to decision with only 1 win to his name. Not to say he's boring however as his one win was awarded the fight of the night. Should be a fairly even match as both brown belts are looking to stop their losing streaks.

Warwynd
RFL-47 was a successful event which saw some interesting developments in it. First off, congratulations to all the winners but especially the following fighters: Mike Sadollah. Mike won against a very game opponent in Robert Vanderweil, who, on paper, looks to be technically more skilled. Mike's win cemented his position as the Number One Contender for the title and he will be facing the champion after the next title fight. Whether his opponent will be Glass Joe, the current champion, or against Eta Knox, the challenger, remains to be seen. Torcadall "The Wall" Sailcirc. I was starting to feel bad about having made this match-up since it seemed so likely to be a one sided victory for Creed, who is an absolute beast. But Sailcirc was able to best the undefeated prospect with a guillotine choke that put the beast down. Carmelo Anthony. Secured his second title defense against a determined, but ultimately completely outclassed Ion Pascu. No one can doubt the heart of Pascu who never back down from the challenge, but just falls short of ability against this one particular opponent. Some fighters just have your number, and Carmelo Anthony certainly has Pascu's number, as he remains the only person to have ever beaten Pascu. Thanks to all the fighters and managers that helped to make this an exciting and successful event.

With an undefeated record of 7 wins by way of knockout, he has secured a name for himself as “La Montagna” or the Mountain in English. Trying to overcome the mountain is Mohammed Ruslanov, a beast of a man and cardio machine. He has taken 5 of his 7 fights to the judges, showing that he give beatings for a full 15 minutes without gassing. If he can utilize a defensive strategy and outlast the Mountain, there is a good chance he will walk away with the W. Prediction: Farina in 2 via (T)KO http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39b22.jpgRagardo v Imberthttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/37/37b27.jpg Thor “God” Ragardo and Jason “Jackhammer” Imbert have had rough careers. This fight, however, is their opportunity to show that they deserves to be in the big leagues. Both men do not have great records, but they are finishers. Between the two, they have no wins that do not come from a knockout. This match going to be a guaranteed brawl filled with action. Prediction: Ragardo in 2 via (T)KO http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w13.jpgMalone v Turturrohttp://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b9.jpg Paul Malone is a BJJ specialist with great control. However, some insiders have notified the staff at RISE that he is currently located in London, even though he is training in a gym in Tokyo. Not only this but it seems that he has been suffering from depression. All this stated, he has won 5 of his 6 fights, all via submission, showing his knack for being on the ground. Carmine Turturro on the other hand seems confident in his abilities and is ready to show his skills once more. He is also an extremely skilled grappler and has been consistently training to prove he can out-grapple Mr. Malone. Prediction: Turturro in 1 via Submission or No Contest MaHogOff v Yelats In this fight, MaHogOff will be looking to secure the win with his superior grappling skills. Yelats seems to have been going through a rough patch for a long time and will be looking to improve his morale before this fight. Yelats will be trying to secure a Knockout if he wants to overcome MaHogOff. Prediction: MaHogOff in 1 via Submission Gonzales v Wasa These fighters are both very evenly matched. Their managers may need to check up on them as rumors have it they are both struggling with personal demons. This being said, Gonzales is much more experienced and that will likely show during the fight. Prediction: Gonzales in 3 via Decision Caugh v Whittman Caugh has become infamous for his glass jaw. It is impressive that he continue to comes back for more, and shows that he has a big heart to continue MMA. He will be up against Whittman, who has only been in one fight, but showed his power with a convincing knockout. Prediction: Whittman in 2 via (T)KO Omega v Dice Em Omega will be making his professional debut at RISE 48 against Dice Em who has gone 0 and 2 in his professional career. This will give both fighters an opportunity to get a chance at success and spring them forward in their careers. Prediction: Omega in 3 via Decision
mrfuji21
RISE 50 Interview with Taiga Toriyama by RISE Staff Writer Preston: Q: Hey there fight fans, this is Preston, staff writer for the RISE Fight League out of Los Angeles, California! Today I am with Taiga Toriyama, a kickboxer recently signed to RISE. How are you Taiga? A: I'm good, been training real hard for this fight. Q: Definitely. You are fighting your opponent, Lesliah Souza at RISE 50. He has a very established kickboxing career with 7 fights. Does this concern you at all? A: It does not concern me very much, because I am a high level Kickboxer myself. Although I have not fought in the Ring, I will go out there and stand toe to toe with this man. He does not scare me. Q: I'm sure you have been training hard and are excited to show your skills. Without going into too much detail in your gameplan, how do you plan on beating Mr. Souza? You can give us some basic hints or give us a play-by-play. A: Well, I plan on going out there and getting the knockout for sure. I will play this fight very smart, and when the time is right, I will land that shot that drops him. Q: And there will be thousands of fans watching it as it happens, at Hard Knocks Los Angeles! How will you feel stepping into a RISE venue for the first time? A: I feel like the time is now for me to fully showcase my skills. RISE is an amazing organization, and I look forward to many fights ahead! Q: Awesome, before we leave, do you have any words for your family, friends, or sponsors? A: I want to thank all of my friends, family and most of all my sponsor, Kimura Clothing. They have great products over there, go check them out! Q: And there you have it, Taiga Toriyama, everybody. Don't miss his bout at RISE Fight League: 50 on November 3rd, 2018 at Hard Knocks, LA. This has been your host, Preston, signing off! "My fans are asking why this Org? The answer, easy fights, a poor roster and a piss poor champion. Who the fuck wants a challenge and wars when you can walk through the stiffs in RISE? Easy money, a championship belt, and I get to push the Evil Empire's shit in. Perfect."
