MasterLeader
There were also a lot of guys that were about to move spots last year, or guys that could feasibly become champ. Last year had 3 100k picks, 11 50k picks, 8 25k picks, 3 15k picks and 3 10k picks This year's first 28: 1 100k pick, 7 50k picks, 6 25k picks, 3 15k picks and 6 10k picks. We seem to be trending down to less riskier, bigger teams Gotta say Im not too happy about there being little incentive to pick top 10 fighters this year, think we should try and incentivise picking more champs/ higher ranked guys next season but no idea how. I reckon 140 fighters will be selected in this draft. Really exciting picking though this season. Rei - youre up!

I already said last year picking champs has nearly no upside, and I really felt the bite of picking 50k'ers last year, when Cerrone, Johnson and Jacare all had bad years
The1rstSaint
An idea would be to up there win bonus and performance Award Bonus. Not sure if it is already greater or not though

After the draft you can obviously pick a fighter a week but imagine spending $60,000 over 6 rounds and having $140,000 yet to spend after the draft. Not many managers would want to do that. MasterLeader
An idea would be to up there win bonus and performance Award Bonus. Yeah champs dont fight often enough in general and theres no camp value growth potential. Wed have to discuss properly at the end of 2018, whoever is running it should refer to this page. Although Whittaker and Holloway are surely pretty lucrative at this stage. Who knows when MM will next fight but he fights often enough. I don't if everybody else feels this way but the reason I'm not picking higher ranked guys is because of how the UFC has been running things lately. It seems like almost every champion is sitting on his ass looking for a super fight and a lot of the top 5 guys are just kinda stuck in limbo fighting each other, winning some and losing some. I just think it's a good idea right now to pick lower ranked guys who have a lot of upside instead of worring about what the UFC is doing with thier top guys. Last year you had Romero, Jacare, Weidman and Rockhold who could all feasibly get a titleshot at that point. After this year, a lot of the top 5 guys spent time fighting eachother, so there are few challengers left. The only really healthy division in that regard right now is Bantamweight, where you still have Cruz, Cody and Rivera

The1rstSaint
Well there is the Conor McNugget factor too. Which I think Woodley is following in his shoes, although he has a injury right now as well.
The1rstSaint
Or GSP giving up the title, what a puss move that was. So it's not all on the UFC it's them and there relations with there champions. Conor is killing the sport and hope more don't follow his path.
