TJMitchell
So boys and girls, it has come to my attention that I have 13 days of VIP left and I found myself wondering if I should renew or not. I have been losing interest in the game for the past few months and it seems I'm not the only one (the owner included). So I thought I would bring it to the forums and ask:- What is it that keeps you coming back to the game? I want to hear what you guys enjoy about the game and see if maybe it sparks something and makes me want to hit that renew button. #heritagesucks 4
aylib
Seeing my prospects develop and ability to trade game cash for VIP is what keeps me going.
JakeF
The thing i find somewhat fun in this game is watching the fights, rest is boring micromanagement. Figuring out the proper sliders for a fight and seeing them work is nice. P.S.: No leaving till you beat me fucker. 1
Bwang
I've got 28 fighters at all stages of their careers. I still have hopes for the younger ones of reaching the top. I have had 7 fighters reach better than #13 p4p but none reach the very top. I have had the #1 kickboxer but not the #1 grappler. Maybe when I get the #1 p4p MMA and #1 p4p grappler I can stop. I will never pay for VIP again, that's cause my fighters earn so much I can launder them and sell it on the VIP exchange. The game is totally free, I've got VIP days in the thousands. I worked out recently I've had an average of four fights a week for the last five years. What a game, I guess I must really enjoy the strategical challenges! And finally, weirdly and unfashionably, I haven't given up faith in Mike coming back.
jjsquirrel
Game is still fresh for me so not suffering from the lack of updates yet. Sure could use some, but at the same time it is a good concept at the core with enough depth to keep it interesting so far. Working my way up to eventually beat guys like the above posters Setting goals for myself one step at a time. Can be anything like winning a title, getting a certain type of KO, a specific trophy.
philofthefuture
I still enjoy the continuous thrill of upcoming fights, winning streaks, titles and fighter progression.I like seeing how my guy started from this to this. Or the frequent checking of the FA if a good FA is on board.Still haven't gotten to my real goals as of yet. Being in the top 10 managers, top 100 fighters (will want to reach this soon), top 1 P4P etc.And yeah, business concept of the game is cool and enjoyable.
pjrfin
It's a good game. And it's a browser game that doesn't need constant attention, so I can play it at work.
BigLarry
- Addiction to online games - There is no other MMA game or any kind of martial art game - very small but cool community (except Humors) - game itself is great as others stated #banHumorsReplicas
callmepoppa1
I just dropped below 100 vip days left and I was thinking to myself the same thing. A couple disappointments in my fights and in the engine kind of didnt help. But i still get a little excited when i see that skill pop or when i have a tough fight coming up. Id like to see my fighters reach their peaks and fight at the top of the rankings but who knows if they ever will.

RegularJohn
The game is great if you're into text-based games and there is no other alternative (that I'm aware of) if you're into mma/combat sports (the other similar game that I checked is ridiculous); it is slow paced and you'll have to fill up your life with other stuff if you need constant attention and/or entitlement. if you're making a thread to ask this then you want to renew VIP but need reinforcement from others (unless you have financial difficulties in paying for VIP); if you got into MMA Tycoon in the first place and became a dedicated, sucessful manager (as you did), then if you drop out, most likely you'll want to comeback some time later and regret the time you lost, get all excited, complain about the engine again, rinse and repeat. Just get on with it and enjoy the ride while you're waiting for moments that never come. 3
actionjackson
I like developing fighters, tactics, watching the fights and the community is great for an online game. I've spent a lot time on here over the last 3 months or so but I don't really need to and can still be successful playing less once I've got most everything down.
skull
Ive played this long (4yrs) I figure why stop now. It only takes a few mins a day to keep everything going. I'm past that whole stage of wanting to do a bunch of extra shit like run an org, doing write ups and shit. But I still find it enjoyable for my little text base fighter to kick the shit out of someone elses
Mentor
I play this game while working, i could log in for a few seconds 5-6 times per day, i guess it became a bit of a habit. For me the game does what it is suppose to, so unless it just folds i have no real reason to stop playing, I have a shit load of VIP days as well, so that does help.

Was genuinely curious as to what others enjoy in the game and this seemed like a good time to ask. It's actually been nice to see so many varied and positive responses. I appreciate your...interesting input.

I have asked him to rebook us for one for the 2 events coming up. Let's see what happens.

Hopefully it gets set up soon
Warwynd
It beats the Hell out of my methamphetamine addiction... less side effects and I can actually win occasionally here, unlike with meth. All kidding aside, I really enjoy the game. I am actually improving in it and I love reading the fight reports. much better than any of the other combat sports sims I have ever seen.
