Joko
Okay, so I have something strange in one of my recent matches with my fighter, he wasn't fighting back when the opponent had him in the clinch. I set him to have high control, go to ground and takedown (but none of them is 100% so there's some room to do something else). But the result is that he got his takedown attempts defended by his opponent, and after that they stayed in the clinch in the whole fight with my fighter not fighter not fighting back. I realized that this is about slider setting knowledge, but I didn't set the control, stay in clinch, and stall to 100% so I assumed that my fighter SHOULD adapt to the situation do some fighting back. The problem is he didn't and I don't know what was wrong. Any advice what I should do to make my fighter more aggresive or adapting to the fight? Before this fight he already has a record of 5W-2L so I'm not sure what I did wrong?
Gator001
can you post link to the fight. He could just be badly outmatched physically and in secondary skills eg if your opponent has very high physicals compared to you and has very high level clinch/wrestling/DG/MT you are in for a frustrating night
actionjackson
To add to what Gator said you should be more aggressive if you want to take the fight to your opponent in the clinch, takedowns or strikes.
Bwang
Your fighter might also have low IQ, or low confidence - which basically means they dont fight back! Also, you can get dominated in the clinch easily by the other guy getting ahead on energy. This is a combo of slider settings and RNG. Clinch is a weird one, and you have to figure out (or discover by reading the forums) what works or doesnt work in the clinch in this game with control/aggression sliders and activity levels. And finally, as Gator said, there are a number of skill sets that you need to be high at, at least relatively, to have success in the clinch, including strength, wrestling, clinch, boxing and MT.
Monsieur.Camara
in the clinch you need agility and strength. 2
duphus
It's all about energy. Notice 3 of your 5 total attempts on a TD was in the first minute of the fight. You where so far behind on energy at that point, that your fighter couldn't do a move. Never did find the one of the last 2 moves, but one was at the start of the last round when you recouped some energy on the round break.
aylib
Still seems a bit extreme--175 shots vs 0. What were your slider settings?
Gator001
https://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=992566 Just looked at the fight, I have never seen anything close to that personally, 175-0 doesnt make any sense at all
aylib
100% of 180 strikes/moves landed, while the opponent only initiated 5, landing 0%.
JakeF
https://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=992566 Just looked at the fight, I have never seen anything close to that personally, 175-0 doesnt make any sense at all Why? Opponent had much better skills and proper clinch sliders. OP's fighter gassed out just one minute after the fight started - "Ragasatria looks winded!" In clinch it is imperative to do close to 100% aggro, I am doing 100% in every fight but some players are setting somewhere around 90%. OP neither did that, neither had the needed skills for clinch - clinchwork and strength i suppose.
andy808
in the clinch you need agility and strength. or in this case have a 4k ID advantage against newer created fighters. that is quality material for manager of the year

OP neither did that, neither had the needed skills for clinch - clinchwork and strength i suppose. High aggro is good when you have the skills to strike in the clinch. Or when you want to aggressively break the clinch. OP's fighter probably doesn't have any striking skills. For a ground specialist, it can be difficult to find the proper aggression sliders for both clinch and stand-up.

Monsieur.Camara
or in this case have a 4k ID advantage against newer created fighters. that is quality material for manager of the year I promised TJ to not pollute any of the awards threads (that by the way I happen to honourably be running) so I will reply to your post here... 1) You beat me fair and square, your 25 year old fighter vs my 18 year old. Not sure why you are complaining about the 4K ID difference, your fighter was vast superior because he was 5 years older. You should be happy I took the fight, back in the days a lot of top managers would still be training but I have always advocated for top managers to fight early and so I lead by example. Yeah I take losses all the time but win most of my big fights and so stay at the top. As a matter of fact, I lose the silliest fights but such is life when you are part of a movement. I`m like the black GRETA CUNTBERG! 2) Since you seem to be new here let me list a few of the qualities that mayhaps got me nominated: - 5 times #1 P4P fighter Chris Steve - I held the #1 manager spot for the longest time, months ! I was actually happy that TJ dethroned me (I like him), but take a look at that fight, I was dominating. - I`m on my 3rd highly succesful org and nominated for org of the year too (restricted) - I have never not filled an event of mine, my clients are happy and kept busy. - I`m honourable, just ask Chucky - Broke all contract records $$$$$ ever - dodged like the plague by some of my competition, cant win of the year if they constantly dodge me lol - I let other orgs grow, 340k has been the most cooperative bracket in ages - participated in almost every creation tourney this year, if i have a spot im there ! -i have more posters made after my fighters than fucking Machiavelli - i can Moonwalk - I won the TUF season 1 coaches challenge , crushing Alex easily -had 4 podcasts dedicated to me and my fighters - i got good in bed hiddens - Tycoon Times celebrity - and most important: I KICK ARSE OR LEAVE ON MY SHIELD. the days of high aggro/high accuracy pussy slider setttings will be gone by the time I`m thru sooooo wether by blood or by deed there you have it. Take a look, I have my Starbuckz every morning while reading your unemployed leader`s daily love letters: Your a joke. Your multi account is a joke. You and managers like you are the reason this game is doomed. Exactly my point. Cant take a fair fight can ya bitch! Your mouth must be more whore out then Kim Kardashians vagina You have one of the most shady orgs in the game and dare to judge mine shut the your cunty mouth. Not to mention since you couldnt cut it in my Org with Wolf you go to your little follower Biro's org to fight ID's much newer then yours with a distinct skill advantage (Oh and you can't even hold your fake belts over there). Get your mouth off Humors dick for a second and explain? will suck cocks for 6 mo. vip you are a pathetic joke as anyone who knows the game wold agree. hahaha
andy808
looks to me like hes stating the truth. btw our fight got a 69% rating, kind of like what me and miss miracle did. oh wait, she isnt real. your former belt is still on my wall, thanks again for thinking you had another easy win towards manager of the year. oh wait, that isnt real either
Monsieur.Camara
lol here is my record: 509-201-3 (2 NCs) that means 200 other managers also beat the living shit out of me. I`m not too sure what exactly you want me to do and completely clueless on why you are so upset after a win. are you upset because we are not talking about it? I have an army of 350k projects and apart from Alistair Overlimp over there that I have no clue wtf I`m building the other 4 will do what all my projects do: DOMINATE

andy808
I lost to a mid tier manager after being gift wrapped another free win by an org owner who voted for me in every category of the yearly awards so my only train of thought is to go on a nonsensical rant that has nothing to do with the conversation thats really what that translated to
