Emil "The Sensitive Giant" Henriksen (378534)

"I am a very calm and relaxed person. I look at my every fight with an amazing harmony of mind. Soon I will face a professionally MMA fighter in my first professionally MMA fight with a very strange surname man for the first time. Remember, this is seriously. You're really coming into the cage with me. Be ready for anything."

Welcome to Caged Dragon Fight Club's First Event

First Event Lightweight Division - Nassir Bey vs Aleksander Ragnarsson

In our first event Bey is looking to improve upon his 1-1 record while Ragnarsson steps into the cage for the first time. This will be a battle for positioning from the get go with Ragnarsson looking to stay away from the ground game of Bey, where he has a clear advantage. Should Ragnarsson keep his feet under him he will be looking to punish Bey with his superior Muay Thai skills. An exciting matchup to kick things off for the evening!

Second Event Lightweight Division - Zy Meth vs Carlos Guitierez

Meth comes in with something to prove after going 1-1 in his first two professional fights and is looking to do so against the newcomer Guitierez. This is shaping up to be an all out war with both fighters heavily favoring a stand up match with the classic Muay Thai from Meth going head to head with Guitierez's  boxing skillset. Both fighters appear well trained in their field respectively so watch closely, this one could be over  in a flash should one of them squeeze a heavy strike through his opponents defenses.

Third Event Lightweight Division - Brian Covington vs Jon Biko

Covington and Biko come into this match with but an inch in height difference, but an almost ten pound weight advantage to Covington. We will have to see if he can use that extra weight to his advantage, or if it will merely slow him down against Biko. Covington is looking like an all around skill guy early in his career while Biko comes in with a solid BJJ background. This match will see if Covington can avoid the various submissions Biko is no doubt planning for him.

Fourth Event Heavyweight Division - Emil Henriksen vs Dwite Schruuuuuuuut

The towering Henriksen steps into the cage for the first time against a 1-0 Schruuuuuuuut where he will doubt try to use his massive frame to his advantage. If he can keep his distance or manage to slip out of the big man's grasp the man with the eight u's will be looking to add a second double u (from a win...get it?)to his record. Schruuuuuuuut has the superb boxing skills which will no doubt be on full display for this fight.

Fifth Event Welterweight Division - Magomed Magomedov vs Ismail Melikov

Magomedov will be putting his perfect 2-0 record on the line against Melikov and his 1-0 record, where only one man will walk away undefeated. Melikov has a slightly better stand up game than Magomedov, but both fighters look very evenly matched in their respective ground games. This fight may come down to pure heart for the fighter who can outlast the other and wants it more, one to watch closely.

Sixth Event Welterweight Division - Tomahawk Mankiller vs Abubakar Magomedsharipov

This fight will see Mankiller putting his lethal Muay Thai skills and his unblemished 1-0 record on the line facing off against an opponent with a strong ground game in Magomedsharipov. The key once again here will be if Magomesharipov can manage to weather the flurry of blows he will be facing and drag Mankiller to the ground. That is no small task, but should the men go to the ground Mankiller could very much be in trouble.

Seventh Event Featherweight Division - Max Pablo vs Jesus Valle

Pablo has a definite reach advantage over the 1-0 Valle, though both men tip the scales at pretty much the same weight. These fighters will be looking to keep to their feet to employ superb boxing skills for Pablo while Valle will be looking to clinch up to use his superior Muay Thai skills to his advantage. Do they come out swinging or play a patient and careful game? That will be answered on Saturday night!

Eighth Event Light Heavyweight Division - Khalil Burnett vs Heinlick Creek

Creek comes into this fight looking to avenge the loss he suffered in his first professional fight against the 1-0 record of Burnett. This fight should be a classic display of Muay Thai vs Muay Thai skills as both men are highly skilled in that discipline. Burnett has slightly better wrestling skills while Creek as the edge in pure boxing should that come into play at all in this battle. Will Creek be able to turn his record around early with a win here or does Burnett ride the momentum built up from his first win? This one should be a battle to not miss.

Second Main Event Middleweight Division - Dylon Taylor vs Jaun Valdemoro

The taller and heavier Taylor brings his 1-0 record into the cage against Valdemoro in his first professional fight for the co-main event of the evening. Taylor has the edge in BJJ and will clearly be looking to lock down his opponent and force him to tap after going the distance in his first fight for a unanimous decision. This could be a problem against the highly skilled Valdemoro who holds a slight edge in wrestling ability. Neither fighter is a dangerous striker, but Valdemoro holds a slight advantage with some boxing and MT training worked into his regimen. This should be a hard fought match on the ground where both size and skill will come into play.

Main Event Welterweight Division - Tyler Crowe vs Konsta Lehto

In our main event on Saturday we have two fighters coming in with identical 1-0 records on the line. Crowe has a slight Muay Thai advantage though probably not enough to consistently try to keep the  match upright. Lehto meanwhile will be looking for an opportunity to take the game to the ground where he can use his superior wrestling skills to control the flow of the action and force a submission without exposing himself to Crowe countering. with both men holding a Blue belt in BJJ is should be a tight match to finish off the night!

Sifting Through the Ashes of CGFC 1

Nassir Bey vs Aleksander Ragnarsson

In the First fight on the card Saturday night we predicted that a battle for position would be the key to the match between these two warriors, and it did not take long for Nassir Bey to begin to dictate where this fight would take place! Scoring with his second takedown attempt the fight remained on the ground for the duration where Bey looked to use his ground and pound game to soften up Ragnarsson for the submission attempt. Almost immediately Bey locked in the kimura forcing the tap at 0:52 of the first round! All business Bey had no comment on the win to open up his career.

 Zy Meth vs Carlos Guitierez

Our Second fight had Meth and Guitierez ready to collide on their feet Gladiator style to settle the match with a Muay Thai vs Boxing battle! We were not disappointed as the pair delivered a fan pleasing war that went the distance! In the first round both fighters seemed content to keep their distance and trade punches steadily throughout the full five minutes, with Meth holding on for a slight edge on the scorecard. More of the same in the second round with Guitierez coming out of the gate strong but momentum shifting as time wore on leaving Meth scoring with a big shot to close it out, with Meth once again leading on most of our judges scorecards. Right from the bell both men went right back to work in the third round trading punches and keeping the fight at a distance. We had expected to see more work out of the clinch from Meth but he had other plans standing toe to toe with the great boxing skills of Guitierez. Round three ended with Guitierez stepping up trying to score some late points but instead leaving himself open for Meth to land the final punch of the match. Going to the scorecard the judges had it 30/27, 30/27 and 29/29 for Meth! After the ring announcer read out the scorecards and Meth had his hand raised he quickly left the cage heading back to the locker rooms leaving the mic where it was.

Brian Covington vs Jon Biko

Third up on Saturday we had Covington bringing his all around skillset to the cage trying to avoid Biko's more extensive BJJ training. After walking into a good combo Biko quickly took the fight to the ground where he worked Covington over with some strikes from half-guard while keeping his opponent down. Covington fended off the kimura attempt only to lose more ground positionally ending up on the wrong end of the mount where Biko mercilessly began to pummel him! Unable to escape and with a cut opening up Covington tapped out to stop the barrage of strike that were landing one after another. Post fight Biko seemed very humble as he remembered to thank his sponsor Brachial Nutrition.

Emil Henriksen vs Dwite Schruuuuuuuut

Our fourth fight saw the Schruuuuuuuut trying to take on Henriksen, our local friendly giant. Henriksen stuffed Schruuuuuuuut early on then took him down and after jockeying for position ended up in the half-guard. Henriksen managed to pop in an elbow or two before going to the kimura to try and end the fight. On his second attempt Henriksen got it locked in and wrenched the arm of Schruuuuuuuut out of the socket, leaving him tapping frantically on the mat! Henriksen mostly waved to the crowd before heading off to the dressing rooms, a man of few words.

Magomed Magomedov vs Ismail Melikov

Both men put their undefeated record on the line when Magomedov and Melikov took to the cage to settle things! Immediately after the bell Melikov dove in and got a double leg takedown, landing in full guard where he proceeded to dish out some fists on Magomedov. After a quick reversal, followed by another left positions essentially unchanged Melikov went back to work striking his opponent methodically until a big shot to the head snuck through! Melikov failed to lock in a submission and so continued to work over the head and body of Magomedov, who kept attempting to regain his feet the rest of the round. In the second round started virtually the same as the first with Melikov taking Magomedov down and scoring with the ground and pound. Slipping into side control, Melikov rained elbows and fists down on a helpless Magomedov until the referee stops him at 2:41 of round two for the TKO. After the fight Melikov called out a challenge to Usman, who isn't under contract with the Caged Dragons.

Tomahawk Mankiller vs Abubakar Magomedsharipov

Our sixth fight saw Mankiller bringing his Muay Thai game into the cage to take on Magomedsharipov and his wrestling skills. After a slow start with a clinch being broken by Mankiller, who then moved in to initiate one of his own Magomedsharipov landed the double leg takedown into guard. unable to get past the striking defenses of Mankiller and losing position, Magomedsharipov gets the fight back off the ground. Magomedsharipov weathered a series of strikes from Mankiller before once again catching him with a double leg takedown. He followed it up with a series of quick sub attempts before settling in to finishing the last minute of the round with some strikes from the top position, solidifying his position on the scorecard. The second round opened with both men squaring off and trading blows while Mankiller attempted to take the fight in close with a clinch. Mankiller seemed to be getting the better of the exchange when he landed a solid right sending Magomedsharipov stumbling before being chased down and sent sprawling with a left hook! He followed Magomedsharipov to the floor striking freely until the fight ended at 1:20 of round two with a TKO for Mankiller.

Max Pablo vs Jesus Valle

The much taller Pablo took to the cage with Valle for our seventh fight of the night, looking like it would be a mostly stand up affair. Trading strikes early on Valle managed to open up a cut on Pablo, though Pablo looked to be using his reach to full advantage through most of the first three minutes. Valle finally took Pablo into the clinch just before the fourth minute and proceeded to punish him with some big elbows before the round ended with Pablo ahead on the scorecard. The second round opened with both men trading blows before Valle landed a head kick sending Pablo staggering to the mat. Valle waited for Pablo to regain his feet before teeing off a few loaded punches, the final one knocking Pablo out cold! Knockout of the Night was rightfully awarded to Valle for that shot. Valle thanked his sponsor Brachial Nutrition before heading off to the locker room in victory.

Khalil Burnett vs Heinlick Creek

Eighth up on the card saw Burnett and Creek square off in what looked like would be a direct contest of Muay Thai skill. Early on both men got the blood flowing, Burnett with a punch and Creek landing a knee to the head before settling into the clinch for the rest of the round. The two strikers traded blows until the bell with Burnett seeming to dominate Creek for most of the time with the crowd eating up the action. The action heated up in the second round with Burnett knocking Creek down and following into side control and rocked him with a strike before taking to his feet again and promptly taking the clinch again. Creek's cut got opened up even more as the crowd was treated to more Burnett domination of the clinch for the rest of the round. The third round opened up much like the rest of the fight, with a quick exchange of blows before settling into the clinch. Burnett worked over Creek, making sure to soften him up with body blows while continuing to land solid shots to the head before landing a big uppercut! The referee jumps in ending the fight at 3:49 of the third round with a TKO for the Fight of the Night Award as the crowd went absolutely wild with that one.

Dylon Taylor vs Jaun Valdemoro

Taylor towered over Valdemoro as both me stepped into the cage looking ready to fight. As soon as the bell rang Valdemoro dove in for a double leg takedown surprising the big man before he hopped back up to his feet. Valdemoro once again shoots for a takedown and finally gets it, landing in the guard position with Taylor going for the triangle from the bottom position! Valdemoro tapped out to Taylor at 0:30 seconds of the first round for the Sub of the Night.

Tyler Crowe vs Konsta Lehto

The main card saw Crowe and Lehto step into the cage for Primetime on Saturday night. Crowe immediately grabbed Lehto into the clinch before pulling guard with Crowe working for an early triangle  but failing to lock it in before landing the sweep to gain position. Crowe maintained top position on Lehto for the rest of the first round though the man on the bottom went for more sub attempts over the course of it than the top man did. The slow pace led to some dissatisfaction from the crowd with a smattering of boos following the men to their corners, though Crowe still dominated the round. The second round was more of the same with the crowd growing restless with the methodical pace of the ground game and Crowe spending the majority of his time on top, taking another round on the judges scorecard. The third round opened slowly until Lehto landed the takedown and settled into the top position to work for the sub until a referee standup just before the four minute mark. Almost immediately Crowe gets taken down again into guard once again, though he managed to keep Lehto from mounting any offense until the end of the round. With Lehto taking the third and final round but it wasn't enough to keep Crowe's hand being raised in victory in a unanimous decision, ending off the night.

Caged Dragons FC 2 Preview

 Brown vs Benny Goldstone

Brown comes into his first foray into the cage with a solid ground game, good wrestling backed up with some solid BJJ at a Blue Belt level. His opponent Goldstone has a matching Blue Belt, but instead of wrestling has trained extensively in Muay Thai. Goldstone should be looking to keep the fight standing early on, likely planning to soften up his opponent before taking him down if not finishing him where he stands. Brown will not be about all that though, and will be looking to showcase his superior wrestling skills by taking Goldstone off his feet wherever possible. Positioning on the ground could be the key to this one should the fight end there with both men capable of a submission.

Verney LaPierre vs Sajit Dopinder

Both men step into the cage for our second event with unblemished records, their first venture into the world of MMA. LaPierre is what you would call a BJJ master, a Brown Belt who is a very dangerous man on the ground able to make his opponent tap from just about any position. Dopinder will be wanting to keep to his feet as he is mainly a boxer by trade, though he has added some wrestling skills to his repertoire, No doubt in an attempt to counter the ground game of LaPierre long enough to get a stand up from the referee. This fight could end quickly if LaPierre can get Dopinder to the ground early and often,

Oliver Smith vs Francois Mafumet

Third up on the card sees Smith bring his 1-0 record in against the newcomer Mafumet. Once again we have a very dangerous Brow Belt BJJ practitioner in the form of Smith, who recently has added some Muay Thai training to his growing skillset. Mafumet on the other hand steps into the cage with good boxing skills coupled with light wrestling training and a Blue Belt to round out his game. Smith should be looking to get Mafumet off his feet quickly before his superior boxing skills can be put on display, but he will need to be careful with his timing when he shoots for a takedown or he may catch a fist for his troubles. This shapes up as a very similar match as the event preceding it where the key will be controlling the location of the fight.

Carles Puigdemont vs Tim Orsetti

Are we seeing a trend here? Fourth up we have Puidgemont bringing a well rounded stand up game with both boxing and Muay Thai skills, coupled with some basic wrestling skills. Orsetti is looking to improve on his 1-1 record here relying on some decent boxing skills and his advantage on the ground with a Purple Belt in BJJ. Orsetti might generally soften his opponent up before going for the sub, but for this match he might be looking to get to the mat early and stay there. Should both men remain on standing Puigdemont will punish Orsetti with his stand up skills either from the outside or holding him in the clinch.

Lee Garic vs James Aya

Fifth on the card we have Garic, who towers over the diminutive Aya, who packs a lot of muscle into that short frame of his. Garic will be looking to exploit his reach advantage using his boxing proficiency over Aya. Both men have similar wrestling backgrounds but where Aya tips the scales on the ground is with his Brown Belt in BJJ, One man will walk away starting his MMA career with a win, but will it be Garic getting to Aya with his reach, or will Aya be able to topple and submit the bigger man. We will see this Saturday!

Dan Koloa vs Olav Tryggvason

Koloa takes to the cage with a 1-0 record giving up 10cm in height to Tryggvason who is looking for his first win. Koloa is what you would call a well rounded grappler with a wonderful grasp of wrestling coupled with a Blue Belt in BJJ. Meanwhile the taller Tryggvason will be looking to take the fight into the clinch where his high level Muay Thai skills can be put to use. He has a decent wrestling skillset but likely will be looking to avoid Koloa's superior ground game. Once again the key to this fight will be where the fighting takes place, on the mat or on their feet.

Frank Dux vs Anthony Joshua

Seventh up on the schedule for Saturday we have Dux (no, not that Frank dux) squaring off against Joshua. This match should shape up to be a straight up brawl, a change of pace from the earlier events. Both men bring almost identical skillsets into the cage, with Dux having the reach advantage. Game plan will be everything in this fight, as well as the physical conditioning each fighter has developed leading up to it. Fast hands could slowly wear down your opponent, or a big fist could bring about a premature end making it a short contest. Whether this fight goes the distance or ends with one man knocked out it will be one to not miss!

Victor Cash vs Shiro Takizowa

With identical 1-0 records, both men will be aiming to keep their win column growing. Cash is the bigger fighter, having  both a height and weight advantage over Takizowa. Cash is an accomplished boxer with a decent wrestling background to round out his skill set. Takizowa on the other hand cannot quite match up in boxing, though has can hold his own in that area, but with a Brown Belt in BJJ hw will be looking for any opportunity to try and slap a submission hold onto Cash from any position. If Cash can keep to his feet and make this a slugfest he should be able to outbox the other man, though if it goes to the ground Takizowa will be looking for a quick finish before the bigger man can push him off.

Kevin Hill vs Pertti Palo

In our co-headlining event for the evening we see Hill taking on Palo, with both men currently holding one win and no losses in their young careers. Hill brings a strong Muay Thai game along with his, well there is no better way to say it, average wrestling skills. Meanwhile Palo sports a Purple Belt in BJJ and has an excellent wrestling background. As you have likely guessed by now, this match is going to be dictated by the man who can control where the fight takes place. Hill has a clear advantage while standing but he will want to avoid being pulled down by Palo to avoid his superior ground skills. Saturday will tell the tale!

Jed Chandler vs Tapio Oivio

Headlining on Saturday night we once again have two men with unblemished 1-0 records looking to step up their game and maybe become an early contender for a shot at a belt. Chandler will be looking to take the fight to the ground where he can put his remarkable wrestling skills and Purple Belt in BJJ to full advantage to sumbit his opponent. Oivio on the other hand has decent wrestling skills but will definitely want to clinch up with Chandler and punish him with his great Muay Thai skills to soften him up, score points and maybe even finish him on his feet. This match will be a key one setting the stage for future events, but who knows what other contenders may have their eye on the prize as well. Stay tuned and find out!

Kimbo Slice

Kimbo Slice (2-0): Jed Chandler, and Tapio Oivio? These two guys are paving the way for the 205 division in CDFC? Unacceptable, I want the winner of this matchup as soon as possible. The only thing I really have in common with these guys is that we put people to sleep, they put people to sleep as spectators watching the event. I break fighter's jaws and make them sleep on the mat. My prediction for the fight? I'd say Tapio Oivio by TKO, but either way I know what this organization needs! And that's a real fighter to pave the way at 205... So when they finish up their little squabble, send the contract!

Coming Soon!

After giving it some thought and consulting with some more experienced Org owners we are going to try replacing the post-fight review with a list of the Champ and top contenders for each weight class. Hopefully this will help managers see how close their fighter is to reaching the top tier of Caged Dragons and maybe start some friendly rivalries as seem to be forming with fighters like Kimbo Slice above! Stay tuned and I should be able to get the initial list completed over the weekend as well as book the next few cards, hopefully including a Championship match along the way. Good luck and good training to all the fighters!

Kimbo Slice:Shit even James Aya can get these hands, I want someone to victimize asap. #205King

Caged Dragons Preliminary Rankings

*Rankings are based solely upon ranking in W/C, with One to Watch being a fighter we feel should be included as a contender despite rank. Please note these rankings do include QFC victories but initially a fighter must have at least one victory over another contender inside the Org to be eligible for a title shot, no exceptions. This may increase in the future to ensure our long term fighters get a fair chance at a title over new fighters in the Org. All titles are initially vacant and will be awarded after a title fight of 5 x 5minute rounds. Note: currently inactive managers will not have their fighters appear in the rankings, though FA's will with notation should anyone wish to pick up a contender.

Caged Dragons FC 3 Preview

Undercard

Covington vs Guitierez

Olisabed vs The Dog

Santa Perez vs Chimaev

Schoenaerts vs Tanner

Fern vs Johnson Jr

Main Card

Melikov vs Name

This Welterweight matchup sees Melikov looking to stretch his undefeated streak to three while Name steps into the cage for the first time. Name looks to be the better striker with higher end Boxing and Muay Thai skills that he will be looking to put to use along with his reach advantage. Melikov will be looking to take the big man down and dominate him on the ground for a stoppage or at least long enough to dominate the match for a decision.

Gobels vs Fury

Two Featherweights take to the cage in Gobels and Fury, two men who minimal difference physically so far as height or weight for a fight of pure skill and will. Fury holds a slight edge in Boxing skill that he will be looking to capitalize on as both men are equally inept at any form of in close fighting on their feet. With Gobels holding an advantage in his Wrestling skills he might be looking to take the fight to the mat and pound out the win. This should be an exciting matchup that either way I would be surprised if it went to the judges.

Damorning vs Vanhatalo

This heavyweight matchup lives up to the billing when Damorning steps into the cage, a huge bear of a man tipping the scales well over his cut rate for the match normally. Both men come into this fight with unblemished 1-0 records, though someone is going to have their streak stopped. Vanhatalo will be looking to use his considerable Muay Thai skills to pound on the big man and bring it to a stoppage. Damorning  has equal wrestling skills as his opponent but will be looking to take the fight to the mat where he can put his Brown Belt abilities to full use. Will Vanhatalo be able to stop the behemoth that is Damorning, or is he going to find himself tapping out to the big man?

Valle vs Church

Gracing the top of the Featherweight division we see two potential belt contenders square off in the co-main event. This should prove to be a stand and bang affair up close and personal with both men having very similar fighting styles. Valle holds the edge in Muay Thai skills while Church has the better wrestling skills and a height advantage of over a foot which might make landing those head shots a bit more difficult. This fight should be decided in the clinch with both men giving it their all to knock the other out!

Burnett vs Cappone

In the main event, a light heavyweight match where we see the potential belt contender Burnett taking on Cappone, who surely will be looking to make a statement in this fight. Burnett comes into this fight riding high off of consecutive knockouts via his Muay Thai skills, which will be on full display Saturday night. Cappone holds an edge in Wrestling and will be looking to take Burnett off his feet where  his BJJ Blue Belt should prove to make him a dangerous opponent. The Burnett could be paving a path to a possible belt match in the future, or opening the door for a new possible contender in the tight race for light heavyweight contention.

Caged Dragons FC 4 NY Preview

Undercard

Creek vs Gump

Pablo vs Sokovic

Diakese vs Smith

Guerra vs Allan Jr

Joshua vs Bey

Main Card

Crowe vs King

The main card opens up with a Welterweight fight between The 2-0 Crowe and King stepping into the cage for the the first time professionally. King is a classic striker with a good Boxing skillset complemented by a higher lever Muay Thai game. He is going to be ready at range or up close to test the chin of Crowe. His opponent Crowe, looking to be an early favorite for belt contention, has a solid Wrestling game as well as his Purple Belt in BJJ ready to submit any man. Will Crowe be able to take King off his feet and dominate the fight or is King going to catch him coming in for a takedown and finish it? I can't see this one going the distance either way!

Brown vs Taylor

In the Middleweight division we have a clash between Brown and Taylor, two men who prefer a ground game. Taylor holds a ten pound advantage over Brown, as well as a slight edge in wrestling skill and a Purple Belt in BJJ which is slightly ahead of the Blue Belt held by Brown. Brown meanwhile has spent some time developing some Muay Thai skills that his opponent has not studied at all. Once on the ground Taylor will be looking for the submission, but Brown prefers to end matches by pounding the will to fight or consciousness, whichever comes first, out of his opponent. Grappler on grappler action, let's hope the ref can keep the match moving!

Mankiller vs Lee

Mankiller brings his 2-0 record up against Lee, who is 3-0 in this Welterweight clash of contenders. So far Mankiller has proven to be just that, with both wins coming via a stoppage to save his opponent from further abuse from his wonderful Muay Thai skills. That proves to be the main part of his game plan as he possesses little more than rudimentary training in Boxing and Wrestling. Lee can match the Muay Thai skills of Mankiller, but has futher developed his wrestling skills which should give him a slight edge in controlling the clinch. This is shaping up to be a stand and bang affair. ome that the crowd should eat up and leave them pumped to see either men in the cage again!

Aya vs Slice

Aya faces the outspoken Slice in this co-headlining Light Heavyweight fight with Aya giving up a full twenty five centimeters and ten pounds to the big man. Aya comes in with a 1-0 record, finishing his opponent via submission and there is no reason we shouldn't expect to see more of the same here. His wrestling skills match up evenly with Slice, but if he can take the fight ti the ground Aya should be the more dangerous man with a Brown Belt in BJJ. Slice meanwhile will be pairing his wrestling skills with Muay Thai and looking to solidify his record, already at 3-0 all by knockout, in his quest for contention. Slice has made no secret of his intent to take the division by storm calling out various fighters, and if he can put away Aya it just might pave his way to that title match he so covets.

Palo vs Runduski

Headlining the card Saturday night in New York we have a Bantamweight matchup between Palo and Runduski, both with identical 2-0 records, coming into a match which could shape the top of the division in the race for the first Bantamweight belt race. Palo is a traditional grappler with remarkable Wrestling skills combined with a Purple Belt in BJJ which has led to both of his opponents tapping out. Runduski on the other hand brings a solid striking game into the cage with both high end Boxing skills and an effective Muay Thai game. A classic grappler vs striker matchup where positioning will dictate the outcome, a victory and a road to contention for one of these men.

Caged Dragons Gold

For added interest and fun I have opened a bookmaker for our upcoming events so feel free to bet as often as you like. Currently there is a 1k limit as this is a new enterprise and I am by no means an experienced oddsmaker (so please don't be offended if your fighter is listed as an underdog, just make me pay for it!). Should there be interest and demand, and if it becomes viable for me to operate I will consider raising the max amount. In the meantime I hope you all enjoy!

Caged Dragons Rankings as of Nov 7 2021

*Rankings are based solely upon ranking in W/C, with One to Watch being a fighter we feel should be included as a contender despite rank. Caged Dragons FC 6 Preview

Undercard

155 lb Dux vs Ragnarsson

155lb Kingman vs Young

170lb Magdomedov vs Hooker

145lb Smith vs Murphy

205lb Skognar vs Connors

Main Card

155 lb Da Silva Jr vs Kuznetsov

Da Silva Jr enters on a 4-0 run against Kuznetsov who stands at 1-0 after one fight in this Lightweight match. This should shape up to be a ground war as both men are grapplers by nature with Kuznetsov holding the edge in Wrestling with his wonderful skills, but Da Silva is the higher practitioner of BJJ holing a Purple Belt to his opponent's Blue Belt. There is little weight difference between the men, though Da Silva Jr does hold a reach advantage, but that likely will not come into play on the mat. Hopefully this match can generate enough action to entertain the crowd, maybe with a quick submission by one of the combatants.

265lb Tshabalala vs Higuchi

The 3-0 Tshabalala takes on Higuchi in his first professional match in this Heavyweight bout. Tshabalala gives up a reach advantage which could prove difficult for him to employ his wonderful Boxing skills which have led to his previous victories. Higuchi meanwhile is a proficient Wrestler with a Blue Belt in BJJ and will be looking to take the fight to the ground where Tshabalala is at a disadvantage. This fight will come down to whether Tshabalala can keep the match standing long enough for a knock out, or if Higuchi can drop the fight to the mat and go for the sub.

185lb Cash vs Jamie

Cash comes in at 2-0 to face the 1-1 Jamie in this Middleweight matchup. Cash has a large reach advantage which combined with his remarkable Boxing skills should make him a dangerous opponent. Jamie cannot match the reach or Boxing skills of Cash but possesses wonderful Wrestling which outmatches Cash and may be looking to take the fight to the ground. Will Cash score another win, or will Jamie take him down for some ground and pound? Stay tuned.

205lb BJJ Ace vs Mazilu

Sporting identical 2-0 records Ace and Mazilu are featured as the co-main event of the evening. This fight should be a ground war as both men excel on the mat. Mazuli has the advantage in Wrestling with his wonderful skill overshadowing his opponents respectable background. In the realm of BJJ the tables are turned however with Ace holding a BJJ Brown Belt against Mazilu and his Blue Belt. We know this fight will take place on the ground, but which man will be the first to tap out?

185lb Kosmodemyanskaya vs Havok

In the Middleweight main event we have Kosmodemyanskaya 3-0 taking on Havok 3-1. Hopefully it's okay with him but I think I will refer to our first fighter as Kosmo for short. Similar to our last match Kosmo has superior Wrestling skills when compared to Havok, and a passing knowledge of Boxing to boot. Havok will be just that on the ground holding a Brown Belt in BJJ to Kosmo's Blue Belt in BJJ. Havoc has a natural ten pound advantage which may come into play should he gain top positioning in the fight, though has can also finish opponents from his back as well. Kosmo's three wins all come by knock out so he should be looking to gain the mount and batter Havok senseless. A ground war in the making!

Kimbo Slice: November 27th in NY, come to CDFC 8 to see me take Jed Chandlers jaw and get gold strapped around my waste. It feels good to be a part of such a loaded card, the vacant welterweight championship also on the line in the co-main event. So far I’ve called all these guys names, and they’ve been quiet. Jed Chandler got a lot of shine getting the first “big win” for the 205 division, it was all a load of shit. I’m the guy they wanna see, I’m the real destroyer of the lightheavyweight division. At CDFC 8, you will see that on full display. Times a’ ticking Chandler... #FIRSTLHWCHAMP

Caged Dragons FC 7 Preview

Main Card

145lbs Valle vs Gobels - Championship Match

Who will be the first to lead the Featherweight Division and wear the belt? Valle puts his 3-0 record on the line with his victories coming two by knockout and one decision.  Gobels has a 2-0 streak coming into the cage with one knockout and one decision. Valle has trained hard to achieve his wonderful MuayThai skills complemented by his respectable wrestling background. He will be looking to clinch up and punish Gobels with strikes going for the his third knockout. Gobels brings his wonderful wrestling background and respectable boxing skills into this match. Keeping his distance unless shooting for a takedown will be key for Gobels road to victory. Both men will not be wanting to go to the judges cards in this one, so put your beer down and hang onto your seat for this one!

170lbs Jamin vs Lee
Jamin comes in with a perfect 5-0 record for his first ever CDFC matchup against the 3-1 Lee. Jamin will be looking to take the fight to the mat as soon as possible where his Purple belt in BJJ and strong wrestling abilities will give him the edge. Lee meanwhile will be likely looking to clinch up and batter his opponent like a fresh halibut using his wonderful MuayThai skills to go for the knockout. This will be a true test for both men, as the winner will climb the rankings and cement a spot as a possible challenger for the Welterweight Title.

155lbs Gallagher vs Aldo

Gallagher brings his 3-1 record in to battle against Aldo and his 2-1 record with both men looking to pull ahead in the standings. Gallagher has respectable wrestling skills, but is overshadowed by Aldo's wonderful wrestling background. MuayThai is Gallagher's bread and butter and he will certainly be looking to butter Aldo's bread in this matchup! Aldo on the other hand will be looking to drag his opponent down and, if his record is any indication, pound Gallagher senseless from the mount. This should be a real test for both men this coming Saturday Night!

155lbs Orsetti vs Tzu

With identical 2-1 records Orsetti and Tzu step into the cage second on the main card in Montreal on Saturday night. Orsetti brings competent boxing skills and a BJJ Purple Belt into the cage to stop Tzu either on his feet or on the ground. Tzu would be most comfortable on the ground wielding a Brown Belt in BJJ while developing his feeble boxing and MuayThai skills. Ultimately Orsetti should likely look to keep the fight on going off the mat to avoid risking falling victim to a submission hold from Tzu.

135lbs Tiny Tim vs Hill

First off on the main card we coincidentally have two men with identical, and I mean identical 1-1 records with both wins coming by decision and their loss via submission. Tiny Tim will likely be trying to take this fight to the ground where, despite being evenly matched with his opponents Blue Belt in BJJ, he holds an advantage in the wrestling department. Hill will be looking to gain the clinch where he can put his strong MuayThai game to good use. This should shape up to be a battle for position with the winner moving onto victory.

Undercard

185lbs Panek vs Takizowa

265lbs Gero vs Pitt Jr

135lbs Pical vs Dux

205lbs Diveroli vs Garic

135lbs Lapierrre vs Stevenson Jr

Caged Dragons FC 8 Preview

Main Card

205lbs Chandler vs Slice - Championship Match

In the matchup that the charismatic Slice has been asking for, he brings his 4-0 record into the cage to take on Chandler 2-0. Many weren't sure if they would see this matchup but Caged Dragons deliver us a fight that will hopefully live up to it's billing as the co-headlining event of CDFC 8. Slice's game is deceptively simple; clinch and beat down his opponent like he owes him money. His wonderful MuayThai skills combined with a respectable wrestling background has paved the road to victory so far. In Chandler he may have met his match in at the hands of the accomplished grappler. A BJJ Purple Belt practitioner and remarkable wrestler in his own right, Chandler will be looking to pull down Slice and force him to tap out. Find out which man walks away as the new and first CDFC Light Heavyweight Champion this Saturday night!

170lbs Crowe vs Melikov - Championship Match

Two championship matches on one card is almost too much to hope for but it will be going down in this co-headlining match in New York this weekend when Crowe 3-0 takes on Melikov 3-0. Crowe's undefeated streak comes with two submission wins and one decision for the Purple Belt decorated competent wrestler. Melikov has a similar record if not through different methods having 2tko stoppages as well as a decision victory. Melikov is the larger man in weight but gives up some reach in this matchup. A superb wrestler and mediocre boxer Melikov has been training in MuayThai recently as has Crowe, but not enough to likely be a deciding factor in this fight. The first CDFC Welterweight Champion will have his hand raised in the Big Apple, but will it be Crowe or Melikov prevailing? Stay tuned.

185lbs Koloa vs Taylor

Koloa 2-0 steps into the cage against Taylor 3-0 this Saturday night in this main card event. Koloa gives up a reach advantage, but he won't be looking to stand and bang with Taylor. Instead he will be looking to take the fight to the ground where he can employ his wonderful wrestling skills and BJJ Blue Belt to gain the mount and pummel his opponent. This could prove to be a dangerous undertaking as Taylor holds a Purple Belt in BJJ making him a genuine ground threat in his own right coupled with his remarkable wrestling skills. Who will come out ahead and climb the standings in this Middleweight matchup and ground war, Koloa or Taylor? It will be trench warfare this weekend!

205lbs Aya vs Oivio

In our second main card event of the evening a 1-1 Aya takes on Oivio who also carries a 1-1 record. Aya is a Brown Belt BJJ practitioner and respectable wrestler making it clear that he will be looking for the submission. Oivio meanwhile is a wonderful MuayThai fighter also with a respectable wrestling background. Oivio towers over Aya by a good foot and change and will be looking to keep Aya on the receiving end of some vicious strikes in a strong stand up fight while the stocky Aya tries to use  his opponent's long limbs against him to secure a win.

135lbs Sokovic vs Skafte

If you ever wanted to see what it would look like if a stick bug fought a preying mantis you may get your wish in this first event of the main card. Sokovic stands at a tall 175cm for his 144lb natural weight, but that is dwarfed by the towering Skafte at 199cm on a measly 135lb frame. In terms of skills Sokovic is competent at MuayThai and mediocre at both boxing and wrestling making his game plan a bit unpredictable. Skafte  on the other hand will be looking to exploit his ridiculous reach advantage with wonderful boxing skill coupled with respectable defensive wrestling skills. A jack of all trades takes on what may be the most unorthodox man physically in the entire CDFC roster in what surely will prove to be an entertaining spectacle for the crowd.

Undercard

265lbs Keller vs Ragnarsson

170lbs Santa Perez vs Jensen

145lbs Hart vs Walker

185lbs Jones vs Riley

170lbs Jackson vs Chimaev

Kimbo Slice:It feels great to hold the LHW championship and be the first ever champion of this division. People can not like the way I talk or hold myself, but you can’t deny it’s fireworks everytime I step in a building to fight. Jed Chandler paid at the expense of me walking into a building to fight, first round knockout for the Bum. He even got dropped by his manager after! What a sorry sucker, but I tried to tell him and his manager that there is dynamite in these gloves. My next bout and first title defense has been scheduled, against a guy with much less credibility in the sport then me. But nevertheless a great ground and BJJ practitioner. Not to draw controversy at all but I think this guy Ace is a chump, i don’t know if you seen my last two fights but I beat two high level grapplers into the ground. Guess I gotta add a third one to my graveyard of unlucky souls that got touched by these hands. Gonna give a Christmas gift to all the people, whoever can catch BJJ’s head after I knock it clean off his shoulders and into the crowd can keep it! See you December 25th boy.
