Mentor
Has to be Joosep Lhmus, after losing his first fight of the year (in a high profile super fight), got to the finals of the Olympics and beat the main competition for this award (which has to be Khan) 2x this year. He also avenged his loss to Song (2x) and regained his title from Mike McGuire after losing to him. For me, activity and quality of competition is a huge factor. I remember back in the day when i think some fighter won the fighter of the year with 8 or 9 fights, that is a joke. Anything below 12 fights should automatically disqualify any candidate. Joosep was ultra active, he had a ridiculous 20 fights in this year, and most of his fights were either super fights (total of 7 fights against high profile fighters outside of GAMMA! That has to be a record in recent years) or title fights, where he had a total of 12!
