SPOLIERS AGAIN, RUN AWAY!

Yeah i sent Legion through the vents and he came out fine! lol

Weird about that Kelly Chambers, she got killed on mine and i thought that was standard. She got sucked into them pipes - maybe if i had shown some interest in her she would have survived lol I was hoping Ashley Williams would turn back up, apparently she'll be back properly in 3. Jesus it sounds like a dating game the way we're goin on here!

Oh and i didnt have to fight any the reaper we just walked out of there no problems.....haha joke, yeh i had to fight it.

Right at the end of the game it showed a huge fleet of reapers, did you get that too?

**SPOILERS***

yeah, the fleet showed up for me too. right as the ship is blowing up, the main dude (the one that takes control of the other collectors) is able to release something from their mainframe or whatever. that end boss was a cakewalk. cloak+sniper rifle+disruptor ammo= dead mother fuckers :notworthy:

guess i'll try sending legion again and see what happens, or else i'll try tali because i heard people had her survive it too. maybe with legion it has something to do with the heretics? did you reprogram them or destroy them? i went with reprogram.

SPOILER ALERT:

Finished ME2 as well. I loaded my Paragon save from ME1 (save Council, etc), but played through ME2 as Renegade up until the blow it up or use the technology part when I decided when blowing it up was the more Renegade thing to do. Miraculously, all of my party members survived the final stage, but I did have all the ship upgrades plus everyone was Loyal. I was kinda disappointed that there was no further encounters with the Rachni (aside from the one conversation on Illium) after saving the Queen in ME1. My guess is they'll be allies with Shepard in ME3, should be awesome.

**SPOILERS**

i had everyone loyal except for jack, and had completed everything in the game, and i still had people die :(

iirc it went like this for me:

i sent legion through the pipes (died)

i had samara lead the team 2 (all survived)

i had grunt escort the passengers (survived)

i had samara use biotics for me, and i think i had jack do them for the other team (which is prob why she died, because she wasn't loyal)

i had tali lead team 2 (she died)

i took miranda and garus with me in the final battle (all survived)

i'll try a few more times and see if i can get through with everyone alive. i don't want anyone dead when i start ME3

I had Tali go through the vents.

Garrus led Team 2.

Mordin escorted the crew members back to the ship.

Samara used her biotic shield for my group.

Garrus led Team 2 again.

I brought Jack and Grunt with me throughout the final mission.

yeah i've heard tali through the vents has worked for a lot of people, so i'll try that instead of legion and see if it works. i've also heard sending mordin as an escort worked for a lot of people, and maybe that will help me since it'll have grunt with everyone protecting the doors so maybe i won't have anyone die there again.

i played a few games of M.A.G. yesterday, and i'm not overly impressed so far. movement feels kinda floaty and the aiming is a bit wonky (even after messing with the aim speed settings). level designs seem pretty cool though, and the graphics aren't bad (they aren't great, but they're good enough). i haven't played any of the huge 256 player games yet (they don't become unlocked until you level up a certain amount), so i've been playing 64 player matches. i'll post about it again once i've had a chance to play it some more and get used to everything. hopefully i start liking it more!

  • 2 weeks later...

i finished Bioshock 2 last night. excellent game, better than the first (which was awesome too). still one of the best game series ever in regards to ambience and the general feel of the game. great visuals, really good audio, solid controls, cool story- really no complaints about anything at all.

a must-play for any gamer!

**SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS** (for mass effect 2)

i sent Legion through the pipes, and he got hit with a rocket in the face just as the doors were closing (i tried it again a second time last night and the same thing happened, which pisses me off because looking around the net it seems that he lives through it for everyone else. and i had him as loyal.)

Who was your Fire Team Leader and Distraction Team Leader? This will effect whether or not your Tech Specialist in the pipes lives or dies.

There are only 3 viable options in your squad for Fire Team Leader and you absolutely must leave some heavies behind as the rear guard. Same with choosing who will hold the biotic shield.

Last but not least, you absolutely must get every upgrade for the Normandy possible (barring the planet scanning stuff) if you want to get the No One Left Behind achievement. As well, there is a small time window after your get the IFF before your crew start getting pasted.

I was watching a friend play Heavy Rain on PS3 last night. That game is really cool!!! I may have to go buy it. We watched him play it for about 4 hours and never got bored. Typically I hate watching people play games.

Ahh didn't realize you were playing it on console. I played ME1 on the 360 but when ME2 was released I bought the PC version because FPS games suck on consoles. Toggles suck ass for shooters, keyboard & mouse all the way (or Nostromo if your feeling saucy).

i started playing it yesterday as well (been at home sick yesterday and today). the game is pretty amazing, it's like playing a movie. the story is pretty unique, and it's really interesting to see it unfold. some of the stuff that's happened is pretty crazy too, and it looks like it has some solid replay value because there are a lot of "permanent" decisions that you have to make. not being able to save the game manually makes you really think about your choices too, since you can't just re-load a save if you don't like the outcome.

i almost NEVER replay a game, but i might replay this one if i have enough time before battlefield bad company 2, mlb the show, and god of war 3 come out.

Does it auto save every time it switches characters for you? How does that work? Obviously I am not going to play it 10 hours straight. I am gonna go buy it when I get out of work here in a minute.

I am also buying Fallout 3(GOYE) and possibly NCAA football 2010 to help redeem my Michigan Wolverines.

I bought Heavy Rain yesterday but haven't began playing it yet. I'm thinking that Saturday will be dedicated to that game.

Did you keep everyone alive? How many different endings are there to this game?

Got Madden 10 for 360 the other day, played it a couple of hours and went back to 09. Glitchy, buggy, looks good though, lol.

Also got Fallout 3 GOTY edition, which is by far and away the best console game i've played of the last 2 years. Off to buy the Saw game in a few days. Not expecting much from it, but i'm a huge fan of the movies, so i gotta play it.

madden is a good game to play with people hate playing the modes on my own their boring no sence of achievement, and they actually managed to make the superstar mode worse :(

Mass Effect 2 has been so good that I haven't been able to put it down to play any of the other games I have bought. I think I may set it aside this weekend though so that I can crack open Assassin's Creed 2. I loved the first one and everything I have read about the sequel leads me to believe that it will suck me right in until I complete it.

Something about dropping onto people from 15 feet in the air and jamming spring loaded knives into their spines makes me giddy.
