    • Oct 7 - Week 3 Recap The Palmtree in Las Vegas was packed for MMA Hype 3 and the fans clearly enjoyed the show. Another successful event for the Hype crew and another event full of new faces. We saw a little more versatility and a lot of aggression from certain fighters. Fight of the night went to Borislav Yevgraf vs Ric Sandoval who gave us a nice back and forth battle, which unfortunately, the judges saw it go only one way. The clinch domination from Yevgraf was the only thing the judges saw, apparently. Sandoval was doing extremely well striking at distance, which forced Yevgraf to get close and work his dirty boxing.  KO of the night, or TKO of the night, went to Roger Sack who did everything right for 42 seconds. He mixed up his strikes and landed early on, which forced Fish Oper to hug him hoping to save his life. Sack then found an opening and landed a short punch which gave him enough space to follow with a vicious knee to Oper’s face which dropped him like a bag of potatoes.  Submission of the night was the only sub, but a well deserved award for Male Spice who got caught flat footed at the sound of the bell. We knew the matchup between Saengmorakot and Spice was going to end up on the ground, but it took literally 1 second to get there. Male Spice didn’t waste any time and went for a guillotine which he executed perfectly and forced his opponent to tap out.    Click here for the full MMA Hype 3 results.   Scott Tolzien (205 lbs) First star of the week goes to Scott Tolzien, who took a beating without flinching. Tolzien headlined the event against Armando Greenlaw, and tried his best to find his opponent’s weakness by mostly going into the clinch, where he ate most of the shots. After 3 rounds, his corner told him to stop clinching and try to box, but it was too little too late. When you eat that many punches and keep driving forward, a bonus is definitely deserved. Aydin Parks (170 lbs) The second star of the week goes to Aydin Parks, who won in his first career appearance against red hot Izaiah Davis, who was coming off an impressive amateur tournament performance. Parks did everything right by getting a TKO in just over a minute, without getting any damage himself. The only hit he got was from his early takedown, when he darted in head first and landed on top of his opponent. A minute of wild swinging later, he finally connected clean with an elbow to force a stoppage. Bonus granted. Norman "Big Rig" Jalisco (265 lbs) Third star of the week goes to Big Rig! Norman Jalisco improved his career record to 3-0 with a really close win in his first professional bout. Jalisco looked incredibly good on his feet, but failed to land anything clean, which almost forced the judges to lean the other way. He did dodge over 100 shots, which was extremely impressive. After a while we thought he was a Punch-Out character, just going left to right, dodging predictable swings from an opponent who clearly swung for the KO.
