GBK16 Posted November 20, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 20, 2014 TYCOON F.C. CLAIM DOUBLE AWARD AT VANARAMA SOUTH OF THE MONTH AWARDS! It has truly been a fantastic start to the season for Tycoon Football Club, as they sit top of the table on 13 points, with 4 wins and 1 draw. Scoring 13 goals has gotten them there, but also conceding only 4 goals, whilst keeping 3 clean sheets has kept them there. Grant Knott has been awarded the Manager of the Month award for his triumphs and management throughout the month of August. In a surprise, only one Tycoon F.C. player was in the top 3 of the month. Conor Brazier was a favourite for the award after he put in a series of fine performances, and gained 8 assists in 5 games. However, it is not Brazier who has won the award, as Tycoon F.C. Centre Back Mark O'Sullivan has claimed the award. O'Sullivan has been in fine form himself, performing his duties at the back, but also getting forward to score twice for The Keyboard Warriors. It will be interesting to see who claims these awards next month, and you can bet there will be many Tycoon F.C. players battling for it! Staz's pass to Brophy is intercepted, but H&V's long ball forward is intercepted by Andropov, who moves it to Rollins on the other side. Rollins lays it back to Tycoon, but his long pass forward is cut out. The ball comes back to Tycoon though, and he plays a long flat pass down the wing to Staz. Staz crosses with his left foot, and Brophy rises highest to head home! Goal! Grant Brophy (Laz Staz)! 1-0! 20 mins: Mike Tycoon has a throw on the left. He throws it to Rollins, but his cross is claimed by the keeper. Long ball forward is intercepted by Andropov, and he passes it first time to Brazier. Brazier goes on a fantastic run down the wing, beating two men before crossing it in. Staz bring it under control, and centres it to Brophy, who simply taps it in to double Tycoon's lead! Goal! Grant Brophy (Laz Staz)! 2-0! 30 mins: Brazier with the throw on the right. He throws it to Staz, whose cross is cleared away. H&V have the ball on the attack, but a fantastic tackle by O'Sullivan breaks it up, and the ball is picked up by Rollins. Rollins plays the ball to Brophy, who dinks a pass central to Hetfield. Hetfield plays a through ball into the box, and Brazier arrives and places it into the far corner! Goal! Conor Brazier (John Hetfield)! 3-0! 42 mins: H&V goal kick is headed forward to Brophy by O'Sullivan. Brophy is swiftly dispossessed, but Hetfield picks it up and moves it forward to Staz. Staz plays it wide to Brazier, and he meets it with a first time cross to the back post, and Brophy arrives and taps it in to complete his hat-trick! Goal! Goal! Goal!!! Grant Brophy (Conor Brazier)! 4-0! HALF TIME! 65 mins: SUBSTITUTIONS! B. Banks > M. Tycoon K. Souza > V. Andropov K. Enlow > L. Staz 78 mins: H&V with a free kick on the edge of the box. The H&V player hits it, and it goes flying past the wall and into the net! Goal! H&V! 4-1! 86 mins: Tycoon with a free kick, and Brophy plays it short to O'Sullivan. He returns it to Brophy, who moves it to Hetfield. Hetfield plays it wide to Kleber Souza, who switches it well to the opposite wing to Beau Banks. Banks crosses it to the centre, where Enlow sees a fierce shot saved, but he is offside anyway. The free kick is played long, but some good work from the Tycoon defence sees Hetfield come away with the ball. He passes it wide to Rollins, who is looking quite tired. Rollins manages to beat one man, and slowly brings it up the pitch. He launches a fantastic diagonal ball to Brazier, who continues unopposed into the box and fires past a helpless keeper! Goal! Guest Posted November 20, 2014 Report Share Posted November 20, 2014 Hahaha well done!I had a muck around yesterday in the FM12 editor and using random.org, generated a whole bunch of players based on who posted here (but made them all at 16 years old) with random mental hiddens (like professionalism), current abilities of 50 (which is ok for a 16yo) and a random potential ability of anywhere between 150-200. They all started as free agents and I tracked their progress and which clubs they went to, but alas 1) Some of them didn't appear in game (likely something to do with me not choosing all databases) and 2) A few of them didn't find clubs (even though anything PA 150+ is basically BPL potential, nevermind some of the lucky sods who rolled 190+) and retired. I'm thinking of giving it another go later, but giving them more fame (as they started with 0) to get them signed somewhere first, and then see how their career pans out. Grant Brophy - Ireland U19's 1-1 Turkey U19's Brophy was started as an AML, not his natural position. He came on as a substitute with 25 minutes remaining, but could not provide an impact. Match Rating of 6.7 Caleb Smith - Scotland U19's 1-1 Romania U19's Smith played as a DL for this match, and did very well in his debut. Winning 86% of his tackles, and limiting the opposing winger to minimal chances, Smith will have made an impressive impression on the Scotland manager. Match Rating of 7.4 Laz Staz - Cyprus U21's 1-5 Germany U21's A tough debut games for Staz against opponents much tougher than those he faces on a weekly basis. He was limited in his unnatural role as a CM, and found it difficult, despite playing the whole game. Match Rating of 6.4 Beau Banks - Canada 6-1 Sint Maarten Banks came off the bench to make his senior international debut for Canada, and he made the most of it. Coming on with 31 mins remaining, Banks completed every pass he made, and won every tackle and aerial challenge he went for. He also scored a goal only 2 minutes after coming on as a substitute! John Hetfield (Ken Enlow)! 0-2! 72 mins: Gosport have the ball, but their long pass forward is intercepted by Andropov. He passes it to Hetfield, but Hetfield sees his pass intercepted also. Another ball forward is intercepted by Andropov, and he plays it back to Yento. Yento hits a long pass forward, and it is flicked on to Enlow by Hetfield. Enlow passes to Daly, who moves it out wide to Brazier. Brazier passes it back to Hetfield, who moves it out wide once more to an advancing Andropov. He plays a through ball down the line for Brazier to rush onto, and he hits a cross to the back post, and into a sprinting Rollins who hits it first time to see his shot fly past the goalkeeper into the net! Have to say, I am shocked that Conor Brazier wasn't even in the top 3, even though he had the best player rating out of everyone in the league. I hired him because the U21 manager also acts as a coach to the senior team, so it allowed us an extra coach basically. Also, if you look at the team our U21's were playing, it might interest you! HALF TIME 53 mins: Staines forced to make a substitution after one of their players is injured by a hard tackle from Michael Brakeley 64 mins: A long pass from Staines only reaches King Yento. He plays a long pass out to Smith, who passes it to Hetfield immediately. Hetfield plays it to O'Donnel, who swings it out wide to Brazier. Brazier crosses it in and Daly rises highest to head it in!
