  1. Please explain to me why cans fighting in an org full of cans should be in top 10 P4P ? That is like someone in my local organisation being in the top 10 p4p on sherdog or something but never fighting anyone worth note..

  2. Nehi, I fight in QFC orgs too. I agree that, in a way, they are the fairest fights you can get. I enjoying fighting with managers who are higly ranked and I would not get to fight otherwise. But - It's a game within a game. The main game, remember, does involve training and investment. QFC rankings have become a bit silly, considering they are like amateur fights within the game. It is right to seperate the rankings, no question. I don't worry that it will affect my hype (and it will). I only worry about the penalty it will have on Eveas who runs a great org in particular. Oh, and if I'm honest, I rely on it for most of my income so lower hype, I guess, will mean less money for me and that's bad. It has to happen though IMO.

  3. I don't think QFC fighters should be limited per manager or anything like that, but the hype/ranking needs to be separate. The idea that this format is any more level is laughable. It is totally geared to making and cutting fighters until you get a great set of hiddens and then fighting very often to build up hype quickly. The top QFC fighter: http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=192721 #4 P4P with a record of 17-6. That hype is built on a 6-week 6-fight winning streak. Which is a nice run, but the record is still not that great and the level of competition is garbage. These guys are pretty much the tycoon equivalent of Kimbo Slice. Just separate the hype, no one but the biggest idiot was arguing that kimbo was a top-10 fighter when his videos were hot, no one but the biggest idiot is arguing that QFC fighters deserve a top-10 spot now.

  5. Each to there own when it comes to how you play the game, i enjoy both training my guys up and the QFC orgs. I have 4 QFC guys in 3 different orgs and don't see why any type of fighter should be limited to a certain number of slots, everyone likes to play the game differently and we can have up to 20 slots a little variety is nice.

  6. Having looked at the specific NC that caused you to start this thread - what on earth were you trying to do anyway? The fighter who NC'd was http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=138258, Ichiro Takahashi, and he is based in Amsterdam. The fight was scheduled for 26 January in Montreal, when the org is based in New York. Up until this point, the org's events had typically taken place in NY, until recently where there had also been a couple of events held in Hilo. According to your fighter's recent events, he: Moved location to NY - 20 Jan (makes sense so far, quite a way ahead of the fight but at least he would have been in the right place for where they were usually held). Moved location to Amsterdam - 21 Jan (back to his base, seems a bit odd but it is still 5 days until the fight) Missed his flight - 26 Jan (this was, probably, his auto-flight scheduled to get him to Montreal for the fight, since this is fight date) Moved location to LA - 27 Jan (what? Why? I cannot fathom what possible reason there would be for him going to LA - it wasn't where the fight was scheduled to take place, it wasn't where the org typically held its events, nor was it where a couple of more recent events had taken place) And since then you've sent him around the world on a non-stop mission to keep his tickers paused. There is no hiding the fact that the NC occurred because you booked him on a flight to LA, for which there is no rational explanation - this NC is entirely user error.

  7. With this topic coming up again, can we get some enforcement on this? The sigs are clearly out of control right now. I know Mike is far too busy dealing with more important things, but perhaps forum mods could be warning people who are violating the rules.

  8. I don't really like the idea of QFC orgs. I have taken over a year to build up the fighters that I have and they still have a long way to go. I'm not going to scrap all of that hard work, planning, and learning the hard way just for a little instant gratification. With that being said, I probably would've gotten involved in QFC orgs if they had been around when I started. It is a little daunting for a noob coming in and knowing it will probably be at least two years before they can compete with the elite. It is much easier to just roll the dice and hope to get good hiddens with a QFC fighter. I would like to see a cap on the number of QFC fighters someone can have. I think 2 is a good limit. This gives noobs a chance for a little instant gratification, but still gets them involved in training, which is the real part of this game. Like many people have said, the rankings definitely need to be separate. It is kind of silly to take one manager who got a lucky roll with hiddens, then uses it to beat up on noobs who have no idea how to set sliders, then take another manager who spent two years strategizing over training and carefully game planning, and then compare them based on wins and losses.

  10. Doesn't NFC have a 20 man jet? Events like this are exactly what those are used for. It seems they really dropped the ball on this as even a simple org mail would have prevented it, but why not use their jet and simply send an invite to those on the card?

  15. I was pretty much the only one in favor of 2 votes, so it isn't going to happen. Mike, it has been up for a month. Everyone has had plenty of time to vote. I think it is time to start handing out badges and announcing winners.

  16. Sounds fun, except for the fights occurring weekly part again. I understand the desire for tournaments not to drag on but the injuries end up making it too much of a lottery. I'll not enter, thanks.

  17. Not exactly true. certainly sliders can make a difference but the QFC orgs are not "as level as you can get", and that's exactly because of their nature. Since all the fighters are much lower skilled, the amount that their overall ability is governed by the level of their hiddens is proportionately far higher. The most level you can find in this game is right at the very top of each weight class, where they're all extremely well-trained and, in the most part, debilitating hidden scores have been sifted out.

  18. Is this possible? Recently I noticed a fighter has been getting uber training in my Private gym for the last year at 50$ a week because he was an alliance mates fighter and I didnt realize he cut him. When I told the manager what had happened, I told him it was no fault of his own and since he was alrdy training there I'll let him stay, but hes going to have to pay now the price of getting super training. He got somewhat upset and said he left the gym and joined another private gym. So i check what gym, he had joined another of our private alliance gyms that the fighter had been invited to before he was cut from my alliance mate. This is kind of annoying to deal with and just wondering if it is at all possible to write in a script that removes all gym invites when a fighter is cut.

  23. You are the manager of your fighter - you change his clothes or if you have a PA you have them do it for you. Guess what.. Part of the game involves you booking flights for your fighter. You have played this game long enough now, flown your fighters round hundreds of times - sorry but to add a "magical teleport" button because you are incompetent, too stupid or just plain fucking lazy is not the solution. Secondly Private Jets were introduced into this game - that's Mike's programing time/money and not only that it's players in some cases real money, so to get rid of flying means you have shafted a bunch of people - way more than the org owner and manager you shafted because you are a dipshit that didn't book a flight to the right location. End of story.
    1 point
  24. Adding it to the fight offer is a good idea, but Mike cannot gold your hand for you and keep you from ever failing. If you are in the wrong city then you shouldn't automatically teleport to the arena. Mike already added auto-flights banned you from leaving the city too close to fight time. He can't play the game for you. I have never been in the wrong city for a fight. My only NC's the org owner signed me to the wrong weight, and I failed to notice. Do I think Mike should ban all contracts to weights other than my own? Not on your life.

  25. VENTILATION: Remove No Contest from missing flights or being in the wrong city Remove Tickers (since you're removing them, just get it over with) sincerely, an avid ticker supporter I'm over NC altogether. Nothing in this game bothers me more than a NC. Losing, Tickers, or even some of the retarded people here don't drive me as bonkers as a NC does. It makes me want to punch my computer right in the hard drive. The fact that my fighter can fly to New York when his fight is in Montreal makes no sense. The fact that my fighter can fly to NY when his fght is in Montreal with no warning or red flag popping up that screams in big bold letters: YOUR FIGHTER LOCATION IS WRONG, THE FIGHT TAKES PLACE IN MONTREAL - NOT NEW YORK the fact that my fighter can be in the wrong location, without the slightest bit of warning pre-fight, makes absolutely, positively, zero-fucking sense. Where does the removing tickers come into place? - NC a fight and your tickers don't reset. So now for the next 27+ days this game has turned into flying tycoon for me; jump on a jet every day, twice a day, for a joy ride, just to keep my fighters tickers paused since this game allowed me to NC a fight - an aspect of this game that's totally retarded on every level. NC a fight for being over-weight is one thing, NC a fight because your guy took a jet to the wrong location is just ridiculous and the fact that it's possible when you have to wait 14-30 days for a fight (something tad bit ridiculous in its own right) makes zero sense.. Just remove it. Magically make a fighter poof to the right location. Hell, remove flying to fights altogether and just make them appear at the event and automatically fly home, I don't care. I can't think of any single aspect of this game that's less enjoyable than No Contesting a fight due to your fighter being in the wrong location or flying to the wrong location. Simple solution? Have a check box, or some kind of confirm button that confirms an auto-booked flight to the location of your fight before fight time. I don't have to pick a location, I don't have to pick a flight, a date, a time, a current location, I just click a simple box or check or button, and regardless of where my fighter happens to be on the date of the fight he'll automatically take a flight from his current location to the location of the fight.

  26. People like JLP are still clinging desperately to the past, when training was cool. They still need to feel like they are superior because they train and we do not - because we don't need to train. We achieve everything that their supposedly "real" fighters do, but we do it at a much faster pace. They can't accept the new reality. Fighting generates hype, not training. You complain that we cut fighters looking for good hiddens, but isn't that what every manager in the game does to a certain degree? How many people have you cut because their learning speed wasn't up to par? It's time to face the facts; training is slow and outdated, the old school managers cannot compete with the new breed of QFC monsters so they demand we be segregated and relegated as bums in a minorities only ranking system.

  30. Like DavyJones said, its mostly getting lucky in creating a fighter with great hiddens. Also, very few good managers are into it. Which leads to average to sub-par managers dominating an aspect of the game very few care about and getting their egos inflated over it.

  32. Its as level as you can get Davy. Granted hiddens do count but its not that simple really. There is not one undefeated fighter above 10 fights in QFCT. That's because everyone can beat everyone. Sliders do make a difference.

  33. First of all, under no circumstances what so ever for a game that requires weeks to pass before your fight takes place, should no contesting a fight be allowed. It should be damn near impossible feat. Org was based in New York, every time I have ever seen a fight take place in that org (Dante Evangelesti x2, Billy Batts x1) the events were in New York. I fly to New York a day in advance. Nothing told me that this fight was in Montreal. The fight offer page doesn't tell you that the fight is in Montreal (adding location to fight offer page is a damn necessity). Unfortunately NY and Montreal are in the same Timezone so it blended in.

  35. So I get the -1 because he beat my guy. I don't make the rules. At the time of the fight I had more hype. I just fight QFC because I don't care for training projects and just want to play the game. Mike is putting QFC ranks seperate but until than its not QFC fault.

  37. well a gun ban isnt going to happen thankfully -- the senate shot it down even shot down banning high cap mags to my surprise -- the house already said they would vote it down if senate passed but it didnt even pass the senate --- only way obummer can get it done now is if he gets to elect 2 supreme court judges with in the next 4 yrs (and none are expected to quit or step down at this moment) with getting to elect 2 he could possibly swing a supreme court ruling on it but without getting 2 more judges on his side he has no chance -- now the senate did pass and say they want stronger back ground checks along with stiffer penaltys for committing a crime with a gun

  38. Last I checked, technically nothing is an equal competition unless every fighter has the same exact build with the same number of points behind every primary, secondary and physical.

  39. Mike said that this game was never designed to be fast. QFC is basically just pandering to those with no patience who don't enjoy why this game was developed. I understand that Mike would like another revenue stream so it is nice to open things up to another target market, but not at the expense of the main market. Allowing 1 or 2 QFC fighters is okay to get the noobs hooked, since a lot of them get bored before they have had a chance to get some fights in, but it shouldn't be the only way anyone plays the game. That is not what this game is about.

  42. What better way to get a name like Bisping back on the contender list than beat a over hyped guy that would never sell a PPV in a title fight anyway. I like Belcher but he is the current Jim Miller. People wanted a title shot for him because he ran off a few wins over average guys and didnt beat anyone of note. Qantity isnt quality and Miller got Ben Henderson and proves he wasnt contender material. Beating other B level fighters doesnt make you an A level fighter. This fight will be his Bendo. Not the worst match up in the world for Belcher but not the best one for him either. He is not a fast guy and will find it hard to land anything meaningful on Bisping. He also isnt the most active pace fighter and will never match Bisping in point fighting which is what this will turn into. If he tries to match Bisping he tires and getds finished late in the fight. If not he loses a decision. Belcher needs to come out banging and put all his chips on the table in the first round and try for the KO. There is no morale victory in losing close. Go for the win or as i always say. Go big or go home...Drunk!

  43. Maybe in their fighting style but not in their effectiveness and position in their division. The best fighter Miller beat on his run was Tibau who loses every 3rd fight. Millers best win is over Guillard who gets submited by everyone(9 sub loses). Compare that to Bisping who has only lost to the best and outsdie the two KO's was competitive in losing the other 3 decisions. Unlike Millers, Bisping has learned enough wrestling to make those style of fights competitive. While Miller just gets raped and never wins a round.

  44. Jacky is actually quite good, I would like to see how he would do in QFCT where everything is a level playing field. I'm not saying I'm the best because I'm not but I have a decent record in QFC, whether that's me or my fighter I don't know. All I know is I enjoy fighting and this org is why I continue to play. I'm also part of the other QFCs and again that's why I still play. The -1 thing only annoys me because to new players if they see my reputation its looks like I'm a dick, now I know wellman don't seem to like me but apart from that I don't really offend anyone. But hey ho it is what it is, it just takes some of the fun away from the forums.

  46. Too stupid for words. Putting a cap on the types of fighters you're allowed to make is just fucking idiotic. People have too much success with Muay Thai. You shouldn't need more than 2 fighters with Muay Thai, right? Training is just 1 aspect of this game, and not even the most important, if you ask me. If you enjoy spending 2 years watching pops on your assistant page, good for you, but there are plenty of others who would rather, you know, fight, since this is a fighting game, or run a successful business, since it also happens to be a tycoon game, not just a fucking training sim.

  47. QFC fights are the only fair fights in the game, QFC org are the only orgs in the game with true parity. We fight on a level playing field, where every fighter has the same amount of skill points as every other fighter. We don't need to have ridiculously lopsided advantages in skill points to win fights. We have slider skills, unlike you Jacky Chan wannabes.
