  1. I just got my 400th career win tonight. It only took me 4 years so it got me thinking who was the fastest to 400 wins? Not the first but the quickest from the time they started playing until the time they got their 400th victory?

  3. Team Reaper, Team Kaiser, Team Syndicate and Team Misfits all move on to the team playoff I will figure out the individuals then as well. Any fighters who don't make the team portion but do make the individual, would you like to fight between?

  4. To be honest, there was so little action that the number of strikes landed it became irrelevant. Essentially, what you have is two men circling one another for 15 minutes. One guy is trying to get his hands on the other but failing and the other is running away and clearly does not want to fight. The fact he threw out a few half-hearted strikes that happened to catch his opponent really doesn't take away from the overall impression of the fight. Had the retreating fighter engaged even on a semi-regular basis, then that fighter would have one. As for your last comment, the answer is yes, an abysmal fighter who tries to engage would defeat a wonderful fighter who refused too.

  6. Kaiser (H) vs TFP (A) Kaiser has a playoff spot all locked up. Uphill battle for TFP this week as they go into this week still in contention, a fighter short and two points behind the Misfits. 1. Edward Richtofen v Katsuro Sato A win here will lock up a slot in the individual tournament for either fighter. Richtofen has impressed many in his ITFL run, doing quite good for a young fighter. Sato presents a problem for him as Richtofen has shown a vulnerability to grapplers so far. Sato should be able to dictate pace and position and pick up a decision win here. 2. Biff Biffman v Geralt Of Ravia Biffman brings his heavy hands to this fight against Ravia. Biff needs to do some damage early or he could find him self spending the majority of the fight underneath the superior grappler. A finish here would likely qualify Ravia for the individual tourney. Ravia by KO. 3. Andre Toulon v Luka Beck Toulon has struggled since valiantly coming in as a replacement for TFP. He has a tough fight here in Beck, who will likely qualify for the individual tourney. These two are evenly matched in primaries, but Beck is in a whole different league when it comes to hiddens and results. I think Beck wins by KO. 4. Viktor Kafka v Karl Denke Denke looks likely to clinch a spot with a victory here. Kafka is really in need of a finish and some fighters ahead of him to lose to qualify. Denke is a tough customer, having never been finished. Its hard to see Kafka defeating Denke, much less finishing him. Denke by decision. Syndicate (A) vs Misfits (H) Syndicate is trying to lock up the #2 seed. The Misfits are just looking to stay alive. 1. Artie Lange v Tweedle Dee Artie Lange is my favorite fighter, CGrace is my favorite manager. All that being said Dee is an overwhelming favorite to win this fight. However, Lange wants to put a show on in his last ITFL fight and hand Dee his first ITFL loss. Lange by fantastic damage. 2. Dakota Royer v Sergiy Sklyar Sklyar looks to be a lock for the individual tourney, Royer should be a lock for the Bahamas. I cant see anyway that Royer can pull the upset. Sklyar by TKO. 3. Sir Jecht v Jax Teller Both of these fighters have struggled to close out the season. Teller will be looking for a win to even out his ITFL record. Jecht came in late and never got in the rhythm. I think Jecht can get a win this week if he can exploit Tellers weakness on the ground. Jecht by decision. 4. Karl Thomas v Dan Leighty Thomas is fighting for pride and team here. Leighty will lock up an individual slot with a win. Thomas has struggled to close out the season and gets a tough draw here with the talented striker Leighty. Leighty will likely have too much for Thomas in the striking department and take a decision. 5. Latka Gravas v Dirk Diggler Two more fighters going at it for pride in this one. Early favorite for fight of the night as two top notch strikers are scheduled to throw bones in this one. Diggler has an outside shot at the individual tourney with a finish, so I got to think he will be motivated. Diggler by KO.

  7. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1373397501Grappling.jpg Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Does Steel Penn-Icon have a special treat for you tonight! Its the first round of the first ever Steel Penn Combat Grappling Tournament! Many Tycooners have often wondered "Who is the best grappler in the Tycoon World?" well Steel Penn has set out to answer that vary question. He brought in 16 of the best grapplers from all around the world to square off in a grappling only rules tourney, where the winner will be the undisputed "Tycoon's Best Grappler"! This Tournament is going to be Epic, and sure to be just one of many more to come! So tonight we have the first 8 fights of the tournament, plus Steel Penn-Icon decided to treat the fans with a Welterweight contender fight and a Lightweight Championship bout. So lets have a look at the action, we start the night off with the first Tournament Bout..... Red Steel Penn(0-0)(0 Subs) vs "Sticky"Herb Green(3-1)(3 Subs) Red Steel Penn may not have competed in any MMA fights yet, but this man has been around the BJJ Competition game for along time. He has entered in and won countless tournaments, including competing in the ADCC 3 times winning once and runner up twice. He is currently the Head BJJ coach at the famed Steel Penn Icon Training Grounds where he has trained more than a few future Champions, and when he heard about the tournament he saw it as a chance to test his Red Belt against the best MMA BJJ had to offer. "Sticky"Herb Green come into his first MMA fight with quite abit of confidence having a high level Black Belt, and having won a few grappling tournaments. But he quickly found out that MMA is a totally different animal and lost by armbar late in the fight, that made him realize that he needed to up his game. Since then he has won 3 fights all by way of submission, and earned his Red Belt! He has an advantage in wrestling with a good double lef takedown, which he will look to use get himself in dominate positions. He is also extremely hard to control when on his back, with great transitions and sweeps! This is a hard one to call, but I think with Green's experience in being able to throw ground strikes he'll earn the victory. Muhammad Ward(0-0)(0 Subs) vs "Sir"Loholt Pendragon(7-5)(6 Subs) Muhammad Ward is the only other man in the tourney that hasn't fought in MMA yet, but has a lot of Grappling tournament experience. He went to the ADCC an amazing 5 times, winning 3 of those times. He hasn't competed for a few years, but since then has been traveling around teaching BJJ classes and helping fighters with their training camps. It will be interesting to see how he adapts, but he could be the black house of this tournament. Sir Loholt Pendragon has had a mediocre career after his transition from pure BJJ to MMA. He has some good ground n pound to go along with his slick submissions, but has a suspect chin. Ward doesn't have much as far as wrestling experience, so if Loholt can use his to control Ward from the top he should be ok. If he gives Ward an opening though I'm sure he will waste no time taking a limb or going for a choke! Luisao"The Spartan"Linhaeres(11-7)(6 Subs) vs Andy Wuzz(36-30)(27 Subs) Luisao Linhaeres is a member of the Team Finland camp out of Helsinki, where he has some top level training partners! He has Olympic caliber Wrestling which allows him to be able to control extremely well from the top, and can pass guard at what seems like will. Combine his wrestling with his World Class Red Belt, and he is a very dangerous opponent. He is extremely flexible, and that allows him to be able to lock up submission from crazy angles. Andy Wuzz is the most experience man in the Tournament with 66 fights to his credit, and a crazy 27 victories by way of submission! He is not someone that you want to mess around with on the ground. He is also fighting out of Helsinki, where he was an alternate for the Olympic Wrestling team! He has fought for some of the biggest orgs in tycoon history, so I don't think that you are going to be able to do anything in a fight that surprises Andy. Even with Andy's experience if he leaves an arm in The Spartan will not hesitate to snatch it up. Drako Vonstein(9-8)(8 Subs) vs Ai Za(13-1)(9 Subs) Drako Vonstein is coming in from London, but had his training camp at Battersea Power in LA. He has Sensational Wrestling with a great double leg takedown, and a Red Belt with slick submissions and transitions. Hes had a rough go in his career, but when he is on the fight normally ends with a submission in his favor. He is starting to get a little on the old side at 34, so this could be his last real chance to leave his mark. Ai Za is coming in from New York, and is out of the famous International Cocksmen fight camp! He is also riding an impressive 9 fight win streak, and has 9 submission victories to his name. He has some good ground n pound with power in both hands, and once he hurts his opponent with his strikes he can quickly lock up a submission. These two have equal wrestling, but Drako has an advantage in BJJ. I think that Ai's power, and Drako's age will play a big part in the outcome of this one. Orlando"The Sandman"Styles(13-13)(8 Subs)vsDavid"Choke"Giljotin(17-11-1)(14 Subs) Orlando Styles comes by way of New York, where he is a member of the Renegade Warriors fight team where he is the head BJJ instructor. He has good takedowns that come along with his wonderful wrestling, that combined with his high level Black Belt make him a tough opponent for anyone. He is coming in on a 3 fight slide, so he could really use a win to get some confidence back. David Giljotin is another fighter out of Helsinki, where he trains with the Evolution Fight Clan. He has Olympic level Wrestling, to go along with his Black Belt. He has 14 submission wins which is the 2nd highest in the tourney. Giljotin is the better wrestler, but I feel like Styles has a better submission game off of his back. If Giljotin can work his ground n pound he could get to Styles chin who has lost most of his fights by (t)KO. Aleksey "The Method" Ivanov(22-9-1)(12 Subs)vs"Coach"Tsuyoshi Tamatso(23-8)(7 Subs) If I had to pick an early favorite to win the whole tournament it would have to be Aleksey Ivanov, he is a total beast! He has Elite level Wrestling and a Red belt, so its going to be extremely hard for his opponent to find an advantage. He is coming out of the XXX camp, where he is the Head BJJ coach. He has 12 submission victories which is the 3rd highest in the tourney, and some brutual ground n pound as well. Tsuyoshi Tamatso is coming all the way from Tokyo, and the Outer Heaven Dojo gym. He is coming in riding a 6 fight win streak, and has a lot of confidence. He also has Elite level wrestling, with some great ground n pound, so if he can get the top position and soften Aleksey up he'll have a better chance of utilizing his Black belt. I think that Ivanov will be able to catch his opponent in a bad spot, and finish the fight. Rowan Atkinson(10-4)(3 Subs) vs Ted Scheckler(15-8)(6 Subs) Rowan Atkinson trains out of the Kebab House in St. Petersburg, wherehe was a Sambo World Champion. He likes to take the fight down, and work his ground n pound. He hasn't had to use his Black belt much up until this fight, mostly just to defend submissions, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind pulling off a Submission in this contest. Ted Scheckler trains right here in Hilo with the Hellraiser Inc team, so I'm sure that will give him a little bit of home advantage. Scheckler will get the fight down anyway that he can even if that means dragging his opponent down, but once they get there he is very calculated in his attack. He unleashes a barrage of strikes and submission attempts and tries to overwhelm his opponent. This is a very even match up, and both fighters are going to have a better chance to will if they get the top position. Both fighters have powerful takedowns so it will be interesting to see who will be interesting to see who can take the fight down first. Ivan "The Dragon" Lavronenko(19-12-2)(2 Subs)vs"Takeru"Isamu Natsuki(23-7-1)(6 Subs) Ivan Lavronenko trains at the CEC Underdark gym in Helsinki, and has top notch wrestling. He is said to have went 200-0 in Sambo matchs growing up as a kid in Russia, though that can't be confirmed! He has a Black Belt, but usually prefers to use his nasty ground n pound to stop the fight with strikes! Just because he only has 2 submission wins doesn't mean he should be overlooked, he has the ability to stop anyone with his hands. Isamu Natsuki is coming all the way from Sydney, where he is the Royal Combat Lightweight Champion. He has an impressive 23 victories on his resume, but like his opponent he chooses to use his wrestling and ground n pound most of the time. Having a Black Belt and 6 submission wins still makes him a very dangerous opponent. If Ivan can get the top position I think it will be a short night for Natsuki, finishing him with strikes. If Natsuki can sweep or land a takedown of his own he'll should be able mount his own offense, and possibly stop The Dragon. 170lbs-"The Barracuda"Dirk Zeldenthuis(29-9)vsAaron Davidson(24-10-1) Dirk Zeldenthuis is very well rounded, he has amazing stand up, top notch wrestling and is an ADCC champion. He can turn a fight into a dirty brawl, and that is the way that he likes it having won 20 of his fights by decision. He has won his first 2 fights in Icon, and a win in this one will send a notice to the rest of the division. Aaron Davidson is making his promotional debut in this contest, he comes in with an impressive 24-10 record. He was a professional Muay Thai fighters who went 20-2, before turning to mixed martial arts. He has some wrestling and BJJ but uses it mostly from a defensive stand point. He has 14 knockouts on his resume, and 10 decisions so he can end it early with strikes or out point his opponent to favor the judges. This is going to end up being a great match up, Dirk's experience and skillset could help him earn a victory, but I think that Aaron's power and stand up will be too much for his opponent. 155lb Championsip-Virgil Cid(18-6) vs"The Honorable" James Dooalot(14-5) This is our Main Event of the evening, and we have a very exciting 5 rounds of Championship action on tap. Virgil Cid has went a very impressive 10-3 since joining Steel Penn-Icon, and is coming off an exciting knockout victory against ex Champion Hans Landa at SPFT 115. He has extremely fast and powerful strikes, which he has used to earn himself 10 knockout victories. He is an Elite level striker with a granite chin thats a deadly combo for any opponent that decides to stand and trade with him. James Dooalot is also an Elite striker coming out of that Gritty's Elite Killas gym in Las Vegas. He has rolled through his competition since making his debut back at SPFT 103, having won all 4 of his fights 3 of which where by knock out. He has extremely dangerous kicks that can stop a fight at any time, and a big heart and chin to take a punch! He also has an Olympic level ground game that he could use if he decides not to stand with Cid. Virgil has never been stopped in a pro MMA bout, so unless James can get the fight down and do enough to impress the judges, I don't see this fight turning out any different. There you have it fight fans, this is a very impressive card! The Hula's in Hilo is going to be hopping when all those fans pack in and get to see these great fights! Plus I would like to thank the sponsor of this great event Steel Penn's 160 of Steel, make sure to stop in and check out all their great products! Also Special thanks to Steel Penn, Craig Gardner, and Chuck for putting this great event on!

  8. I ll say this once and once only about this. I'm not looking or willing to get into cheap stupid arguements about a game. I will APPOLIGISE on behalf of Luan for what he did. I agree no need to poke fun. I have messages him. Me and you usually have a tidy relationship. Obviously you feel upset about things that' have or have not happened. I respect you as a manager. Lets draw a line under it and move on quickly, Your fighter Henry Chinaski is my 170 champ. He has 3 fights left. Champion or not champion I will Gladly release him str8 after his fight with Batson is finished. I don't want any Drama what so ever. Just let me know so I know what to do. Won't be hearing me talk about this again.

  9. I would like to see an option just like the gyms have. To sponsor all of a managers fighters rather then one at a time. In the gyms you can invite a managers fighters all at one time, it should be the same for sponsorships. Send a sponsorship to a manager and all of his fighters that have a sponsorship spot open get sponsored. Set a group contract so each fighter gets their cut of the sponsors offer. Thoughts?

  10. I assume at least some of you are familiar with BloodyElbow's MMA prospect reports. For those of you who aren't, they're top 10 lists for every weight class of the hottest prospects and up-and-comers in lower-level MMA organizations. They're usually a good read. How interested would you guys be in me doing something similar for Tycoon? What I'm picturing is me doing some digging and people PMing me suggestions I could look into. I'd then pick out the 10 best for every weight class and write a short bio and evaluation of every one of them. I think it could be a good bit of fun, give some lesser known fighters/organizations some exposure, and hopefully lead to some more RPing. Some guidelines on the top of my head: -Must be under 25 years old OR have less than 10 fights -Is not currently ranked in the top 10 of his weight class -is not fighting in a top 10 organization

  14. In the past Avon was the man, then it was Lance after that, nowadays there's a lot of top managers which are pretty even. Opa Jokinen is one I've always found to be a bit underrated, even though he hasn't been ranked #1 he has managed some of the top fighters in the game and has always fought in top organizations.

  18. Remember that, in this game, not all submission attempts actually mean he's got a hold of your limb and he's actually trying to crank it open. Submission attempt can also simply mean that he's just trying to adjust his position to try and do so, amongst other things. Also, spamming any move does actually have a downside. Predictability is taken into account when your fighter attempts the same moves too many times, and thus the moves become easier to evade. It's simply that, in terms of submission attempts, even at a low percentage, if they try it often enough, chance will occasionally pay off. But then again, what else do you expect a ground fighter to do when he's trying to win the fight? He's hardly going to sit there and be a punching bag for you. Considering the majority of the fight happened on the ground, I don't think it was entirely too unrealistic. Don't get me wrong, the lucky submission from sub spamming has happened to me before, and it's definitely unpleasant, but that's the risk you take when the fight hits the mat.

  22. Hi Potter. To start with, this is very generous of you to donate so much money. Normally i am not one1 to ask for assistance nor to "apply" for free cash, however, myself being only new (within 2 weeks) and a few mates (also fairly new) have started an Org, as well as a Gym in Las Vegas (we are wanting to have 2 shows per week, 1 in LV and 1 in LA. Gym is in LV, but hopefully hopefully starting a Gym in LA soon also). The Org is "GAMMA:Contenders" and the Gym is "House of Pain" (invite only gym, basically for GAMMA:Contender members only). Our goal for the Org is to recruit new fighters and help them develop into future stars and hopefully title holders. As things are when u start a new venture, finances are tight. Should be be kind enough and see fit to donate money towards myself, my group of friends and our business ventures in game, i thank you 10 fold in advance, if u decide the money is better suited to someone/some thing else, then i send my Congrats to whomever receives your generous offer and wish them the best of luck in this game. 29. Ivan "The Siberian Tiger" Emelianenko sat down for an interview with his manager after a hard night of Vodka guzzling after his tough loss by decision at the most recent Crucible London Event to discuss his thoughts on his most recent fight and his future in MMA. CW: Ivan, tell me about your view of the fight. IE: Long story to be made short, I take him down, again and again, he lay on his back like cheap Moscow whore, he take me down once and sit on my chest, he look good for once in fight, blind judges give him decision! Unanimous! They need to see a, how you say, gynecologist. CW: As we watch the fight replay, can you give me a more specific breakdown on the fight? What was going through your mind? I start out, I dodge his left, take him down. He tries, how you say, jedi mind trick jiu jitsu, but I stop him. He grab my hand like little kid not wanting to let go of mama because he afraid, he hold onto my right hand, so I have trouble ground pounding him. Then the ref stand us up, I take him down again, he does same thing, same standup. Then I take him down again, Mudada tries three times to make me tap, nothing. Second round, we lock up, I want none of the Muay Tuay so I break it, then straight into takedown, my opponent, he keep squeaming, he afraid, then we get stand up again. He hits me with hard overhand right enough to knock most men out, but I still standing...light on my feet, he gets first takedown halfway through whole fight. Then he just sit there...and ref ignores that I'm working to improve my position, so he stand us up. These refs, judges, they would be shot for their shit in Soviet Union. So I stuff him, take him down, he keep doubleunder hooks or wrist control just like he been doing, back to a standup, I change gameplan even though he has better clinchgame, I try to clinch, he run away like coward, throws a wild hook as he circles out, I take his ass down again. But he good, he use jedi jiu jitsu mind trips and get in mount...then he bought his ground and pound game, to that I give him credit. But I read commentary, they said, he dominated that round...bullshit. The whole fight go like this, I get takedowns, he only take me down once, he sit there like gulag slog, lands a few strikes, and judges give him unanimous decision. That, like you say in States, is bullshit So Ivan, it seems you are frustrated at the officiators and judges, right? Yes, man. If it ended Split decision...I say, maybe...big maybe. Unanimous, that's fucking bullshit. [ivan spits on the ground]. It disgusting...take an old style fighter, real fight, not this...western MMA watered down like vodka served in America. In old style fights, street fight, gulag death fights where I grew up fighting for my life since early age, rules are different...there is no decision...if you submit you coward, have hard time getting more fights, last man standing walks away, the other, well to use words of Ivan Dragoff, "if he dies, he dies." You only win by KO, submission, no bullshit. No rules. And the commentators, they must be, how you say, mentally retarded? In Soviet Russia they would have been given abortion before birth. And the ref, he keep standing up the fight. It supposedly because to make fight move along and more entertaining. Give me time to work on ground, I good at getting mount, once I in mounted crucifix I kill. And three times, three times...foolish decisions by judges. Only one decision out of 4, I tell you, honest, I lose. Other man was better fighter. Three times, I am better fighter. Well, Ivan, what are you going to do moving forward? I think I work a little on my ground and pound, and I am not best standup fighter. In Gulag, most fights end on ground. You not just trying to knock guy out you trying to kill him, so if you do knock him out or take him down, you rush in, you choke him, you beat him, you finish him. Or you score a draw, that simple. I take draws for my friends, there is no shame. I will work on my kicks, too, and maybe show world what I can do from the back what Pappy Mexicano can't. Long term, if this wussy fighting don't work out I go back to Siberia. There are no Gulags since 1992, but still fights. I don't care about money, I live to fight. You know what, you knock me out, you tap me, you win fight, I lose. But over half my fights I have lost due to decisions, three of them total bullshit, how you say, fixed maybe? No, but of course not! Ivan, what are your goals within Cruicible? I think, maybe if they allow, I put on some weight, bulk up to 280, maybe fight in heavier class. I hate the weight cuts I must make, it makes me tired. I used to walk around that heavy. But for now, Busta Smirnov or maybe Maksim Veremko, fellow Russians...I would like to fight them, I think. One other, who is nameless, is polish russian, or polaruski, as you say, they not real Russians, but if he wants fight, I fight him. Ivan, some of those men you mention are pretty formidable, what makes you think you have what it takes to win? I know Russian mindset, how they fight, train. They respectable. They come off loss, think they gonna get easy rebound win on me, they wrong...so challenge me. I get inside their head, speak to them in the language of the motherland. I adapt, I show that so far. Bring it. Ivan, the promoters have asked you to fight Cain Vasquez as your next fight, what do you have to say about that? I say yes. His boxing no match, his wrestling no match, his muay thai no match, and his whole game, no match for me. I tell you now, judges and refs fuck me again, I done. I quit. Everyone talk about Rossiya corrupt, no, man, this shit corrupt. Not the organization, they give me chance to fight, but the, how you say, regulators? Fuck them. I tell you what, I make deal with this Cain guy...I win, he eats Gulag Slag for dinner with some humble pie. Nobody knows what's in Gulag Slag, maybe some polar bear, wolf, and seal guts, fish heads, who knows...they put shit in big blender. He wins, I eat a taco. If he don't like that, if he decline, I take on anybody else...any comers...throw me in front of champion even, then when I get belt as heavy underdog, the whole world take notice. Well, Ivan, thank you for your entertaining choice of words this afternoon. We look forward to seeing you fight again, and win or lose, it's always very entertaining watching you fight. Good luck.

  30. Sounds great! maybe one of the ppl posting in noob help? like one of the noobs I mean. Obviously NOT an experienced manager who is helping the noobs... assuming they are vip it seems like they may put the money to good use and start a business or something.

  33. Guys why don't you both Grow up. Like I've said before its a fucking Game. JLP you were bang out if order accusing me of fixing a Draw for the tourney. Personally that was just childish and anger at loseing. LUAN - there was no need of that mate. Pat has shown he is 1 of the best fighters in the game. Just not on his game for 1 fight. He ll be back. Plus it does nt shine a good light on ASC which is supposed to be a well respected org. But seriously guys its a game. Can we cut all the shit out please. It's just kiddish like behaviour.

  34. L O mother fucking L... I tend to breed a bunch of cans and have probably accomplished a twentieth of what you have. Would you like me to bow down before you, your majesty? The only reason I would kneel to you is to wind up for a monstrous uppercut to your vagina.

  35. It should be a possibility, a sponsor should be able to decide if he wants to sponsor just 1 fighter or all with a single contract. (an option like when u delete mails, should be able to click them all) I hope u guys understands me im swedish. By the way Steel Penn talking about sponsors, Ive got a couple of fighters in your org Steel Penn New York and I think u should sponsor them. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=220115 http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=220157 http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=221073

  47. Sore loser here, but spamming submissions really grinds my gears. I just had a fight where I was doing damage from the clinch and ground and pound for around half the fight. While my opponent spammed 26 subs in prob 5 min of being in the dominant position. He ended up subbing me with 5 secs left, which is whatever, but I was under the impression from the commentary that I was gonna lose a decision. Which would be very slimy and glitchy imo. Ive heard the commentary isnt very accurate, but it still hasnt been wrong in the 10 plus decisions ive had. Let me know whether this is a legit gripe, if I would have won a decision, or if Im just a whiny nub-biatch http://mmatycoon.com...php?FTID=575340
