  1. I've had a few PM's about this in the past couple of weeks from people asking, so I figured I may as well post about it just as a future reference for everyone. With Dinooo leaving the game, the future of TWW News was uncertain considering Dean is the guy who has ran with it for it's entire time, bringing it back last year with Myself and Wolf. TWW News will not be stopping following Dean's decision to have his account deleted. Him leaving the game means we have one less person writing for it, but it is something we will overcome and get on with. I talked about it with Wolf and he said he wanted to keep it going and I feel the same so that's what we will do. First of all, if anybody is interested in getting involved with TWW News, we are happy to have more people get involved and write for it. The key thing is that anybody who wants to help, you can write about whatever you want. It isn't a simple "We have an idea, you write about it" kind of thing. We throw ideas between each other about what we could possibly write, so if you need some inspiration we are happy to help come up with some ideas, but if you have one topic you really want to do a piece on, feel free and just let us know about it. We are hoping to get some of Tycoon's finest writers involved, and possibly get some experienced managers to throw their thoughts into a few things. We're hoping to have a new TWW News out next month, and we are already talking about some ideas for it so TWW News is well alive and hopefully will be something you all continue to enjoy reading. From myself and Wolf, thanks for reading, and we'll see you next month for the next TWW News.

  2. I was just as surprised and excited as the rest of you when I heard that Sir Castor Rollins was about to make a comeback, nobody expected him to be released from the mental hospital so soon, apparently the haldol medicines must have worked wonders for him ... was he a changed man too? I did not know what to expect really ... Could sitting in a corner, drooling affect the baddest man on the planet? I was curious and blessed that I had the chance to do this interview with the most interesting man that ever walked the planet. It was common knowledge that Sir Castor was a weed fanatic, so I was surprised when he said that he wanted to take a walk around town instead of sitting in a café smoking some blunts. We decided to meet up at Dam Square. Castor were always on time, as a man who loved extravagant entrances I was expecting an entourage of blackhawk helicopters turning up any second but suddenly ... there he was, walking towards me ... and then ... BOOOOOOM!!!!! People were panicking, hiding, running like circumcised chickens all over the place, terrified ... I was paralyzed by fear ... not from the explosion, but from meeting Castor in person. Come on. Who wouldnt be? Castor: Alright, as you might have figured out ... im in somewhat of a hurry so lets roll right now. Reporter: Ehhrm erhhmm ... Whats up with that blown up car? Castor: That was my old spy from the Finnfairies, I heard some rumours that the fairies finally started suspecting him and being a weak ass finn, i figured he would crack, so i finished him off. Castor: What was it you wanted to see me about? The Comeback? Reporter: Yeah. That was the main reason. Get an update of whats going on in your life, you still in the porn industry? Castor: Nah, I havent starred in any movies since I left for the hospital, some people are quite upset at me because I gave them some serious STDs and Im no longer wanted in the business ... but I dont care to be honest, Im done with that life, done doing drugs ... Im eating healthy and just opened a gym, got a few proteges ... no less than my own sons ... Reporter: Your own sons?! Castor: Yeah, i have got 21 sons but right now ive got 5 of them training in the gym. Ive been training them since they popped out from their mothers pussies. With my super genes and their hard work, they will be unstoppable. One of them is a pure Kickboxer aiming for the K1 World Titles ... but theyre still young, I got another guy too, Saul, 18 years old, already training for his first tournament ... his opponents better have a good dental insurance ... he is a true bulldoozer. Reporter: Mind if I come by to take some pics and interview your boys some time? Castor: Sure. Reporter: By the way, how was daily life in the mental hospital? Castor: What do you think? Sitting drugged up in a straight jacket, drooling for 9 months will effect any man. But thats the past, I feel fine and im focused on the fighting for now and for bringing justice to the fight game. One thing that I will find out is that if that asshole Mentor paid his fines to Mike T. Theres a lot of shady shit going on there that I dont like. That is for sure. Reporter: It truly is, you would be the one to solve the problems tho Castor. Castor: Tell me something I dont know. I think we're done here. Talk to you in a few weeks or so before the tournament start. Reporter: Appreciate your time. Thanks a lot. To be continued ...

  4. I can't tell whether you don't know what the word "majority" means or what the word "hardly" means. Definition of majority : a number that is greater than half of a total : a number of votes that is more than half of the total number : the group or party that is the greater part of a large group

  7. I'm only posting this because a few people have been mentioning primary vs secondary control in their posts. The game has always been based on Primaries. It's backwards and it always has been. You will never see a real life elite boxer with useless punches. If your punches suck you aren't an elite boxer. You can use this same logic in every skill. Secondaries should be the controlling skill set, not primaries. I had this conversation 5 years ago in pm with Mike. The final answer I got was the game was set up with primaries controlling and it was too much work to change that. This is what should change if possible. If not then we get the best Mike can provide and we keep playing because this game is fun anyway. Good discussions in this thread. Thanks for the thoughtful input fellas. Hopefully Mike can use the feedback to make useful improvements to a game I have enjoyed playing for over 7 years. I've seen a lot of changes over that time period, some I liked and some not so much, but overall the game still kicks ass. The thing I don't like about changes is to be a top manager I have to read all the stuff in threads like this and it takes up too much of my limited free time. I also dont think people should be highly ranked without spending a lot of time on the game so it works out.

  11. No, no, and no. You're not getting the best of the best FA's unless you're ranked #1. Get over it. No changing anything, nothing is happening, stop whining and making stupid suggestions. There's nothing wrong or flawed with the system. Highest rank gets dibs. Pretty simple. No restrictions needed or necessary. If there were to be a different design, it would have to be an NBA lottery type system where the highest rank gets the highest % of getting them. That's the only logical solution. Everything else is just kinda retarded. imho I don't really think this is gonna make that big of a difference for Davies. He was #1 before he got them, he'll probably be #100 by the time all of them start fighting consistently.

  12. It is also in discussion on the main forum. I think the current FA pick doesn't give any chance to get a good fighter for the lower ranked managers. I propose you can have 1 pick/day and on the other fighters you want to pick out in the same day, you get to the bottom of the picking. example : fighter 1 - manager rank 1 gets the pick above everyone fighter 2 - manager rank 2 is first , rank 3 another option if they want the fighter and manager rank 1 should be the last if he already has a fighter picked on the same day. And the list can continue. Again this is a proposal I make for the other managers based on what I read and consider to be fair, as I pick max one guy every 6-7 months.

  13. Main event, Bantamweight title fight: Sean Tallon 19-9 (3-3 EVO) v Viktor Tsoi 21-5 (6-0 EVO) Viktor Tsoi has cemented himself as one of the best bantamweights of all time, and is now laying the foundation for a claim to be one of the greatest fighters of his generation. The man has virtually no holes in his game, his grappling has always been one of the main tools in Tsoi's arsenal with many of his early wins being submissions. As his career has progressed we have seen him develop a lethal striking game which has shown in his last five fights where he's stopped his opponents with striking alone. Facing off against him on saturday though, is one of the few fighters who it could be claimed have a better striking pedigree than Tsoi. Tallon is a former EFFA and CEC champion, so it goes without saying he is one of the best kick boxers in the world. The big questionmark has been his grappling, his last loss where he lost the CEC belt, was a split decision where the grappling of Titan Rain edged him the fight. After that loss though he has looked phenomenal walking through the top contenders of the Evo bantamweight division before crowning his winning streak with an impressive decision win over current Syn champion Geralt of Rivia. The last time these two fought Tallon showed he had the edge with his technical striking in the first round, but in the second round Tsoi clipped him and never let him recover, I think that the main difference between these two fighters is that Tsoi can probably hold his own against Tallon in the striking game with a slight edge to Tallon, while Tallon will have a hard time on the ground if Tsoi gets a dominant position. Keys to victory Tallon: Kicks, he has to destroy Tsoi's body and feet, weaken his shoot and wear him down on his feet. Tsoi: He has to mix it up, he can give as good as he takes on the feet, and is always a threatening opponent on the ground. If he can keep Tallon worried about the takedowns his striking will be that much more effective. Co-Main event, Bantamweight: Uebishe Lesnoe 32-6 (1-1 EVO) v Dzuzaska Guzman 34-12 (5-3 EVO) In a match that's quite possibly a title eliminator to fight whoever comes out victorious in the main event two men with scores to settle have one more hurdle to pass before getting a chance at redemption. Lesnoe lost his Evo debut in a grueling five round fight against current #1 contender Sean Tallon, while Guzman got knocked out by current champion Viktor Tsoi, so both men should be fired up to get a shot to avenge their last losses and possible add a new belt to their wardrobe in the near future. Neither fighter should look past their opponent on this card though, as Lesnoe is one of the most lethal grapplers in the Bantamweight division today, the BJJ black belts last two stoppage wins where by Triangle, but he's also shown an excellent understanding of the finer points of the striking game. He's become a real tough nut to crack and having won four of his last five matches he is coming in to this fight confident as ever. While Guzman is no slouch on the ground, Lesnoe is on another level, Guzman's strength is his striking, which he showcased when he won his last fight with a devastating first round knockout, he will be looking to do the same to Lesnoe in this fight, but will have a hard time of it as the Lithuanian grappler has never been knocked out in his 46 fight career. Keys to victory Lesnoe: Being someone with an iron chin he can take more chances than most grapplers could vs a striker of Guzman's level, I'm expecting him to engage in striking and look for an opening to get the fight to the ground where he has the marked advantage. Guzman: Punch him in the head, it sounds simple, but that really should be the extent to his gameplan. Outwork Lesnoe in the striking game, avoid his takedowns and he should be getting the decision. Super heavyweight title fight: Holy Jenova 28-11 (8-2 EVO) v Rockford Knight 36-11 (12-6 EVO) This is a big fight, between big men, with big hands and questionable chins. Betting on a decision in this fight would give you great odds with no return. These two fighters have almost 600 pounds, 51 knockout wins and 18 knockout losses between them. With these numbers in mind I think we can easily establish what will happen in this fight. Both these giant fighters will tee off in the middle of the cage, possibly go to the clinch and not end until at least one of these beasts of nature has received some good old fashioned traumatic brain injury. Both fighters are previous title contenders in Evo and share three title fights between them against now retired former champion Rinky Spider. With the super heavyweight belt recently vacated this is the perfect time for one of these two gentlemen to take the step up and get a hold of one of the most coveted items in MMA, the Evolution championship belt. Keys to victory This fight is too close to call, and it will likely come down to who connects cleanly first, fight of the night? Featherweight: Grin Ribber 14-4 (6-1 EVO) v Burt The Hurt 23-10-1 (5-1-1 EVO) In a more stylistic matchup we have submission specialist Grin Ribber vs striker Burt The Hurt. Ribber is on quite a winning streak, after losing his Evo debut in a very close decision he's racked up six impressive wins in a row, propelling him towards the upper echelon of the Evo featherweight rankings. The Hurt on the other hand came back with a win after breaking a seven fight undefeated streak against the former #1 contender Edward Scissorhands. No doubt he will be looking to string two together come saturday. Ribber is as mentioned a submission specialist, he's got eight stoppages under his belt, seven of which are submissions, the BJJ black belt has shown himself to be adept on his feet, it is however on the ground he has earned himself the impressive winning streak. Hurt on the other hand relies on his boxing and wrestling to grind people down, he takes his opponents out of their comfort zone using overwhelming them with punches then grabbing a hold of them, pushing their back into the cage and then punching them in the head some more. Keys to victory Ribber: It's simple, we take The Hurt down, simple in theory at least, on the ground Ribber has a huge advantage so to be successful his takedowns have to be crisp. Hurt: With sixteen knockouts under his belt Hurt's options are A ) punch him in the head or B ) punch him really hard in the head, look for him to try to overwhelm Ribber and finish the fight early. Light Heavyweight: Jimmy Hyatt 27-12-1 (3-1 EVO) v Tonton Hong 27-13 (0-1 EVO) 22 knockout wins in 27 fights are scary numbers if you're Jimmy Hyatt, Tonton Hong's pedigree as an elite level striker are undeniable, however he has shown that he has developed a decent ground game and often uses his newfound skills to broaden his arsenal and take the fight away from his opponent's stronger areas. Regardless of Hong's pedigree though, Hyatt is also an elite level strike in his own right, while he's not a knockout artist at the same level his striking and work in the clinch is scarily accurate. He's also shown some mastery of the ground game, but it's his excellent striking abilities that have made him a top level competitor today and it is what he is going to use when he tries to defend that status on saturday. Keys to victory Hyatt: Hyatt has shown much better work in the clinch in his last few fights than Hong, I expect them to trade and Hyatt to try and get the fight to the clinch where he offers some excellent dirty boxing. Hong: His knockout power is simply too stupid to overlook, one shot is all he needs and it is what will be the deciding factor should he win this fight. Undercard: Light heavyweight: Rauli Raunio 12-7 (3-2 EVO) v Tyson Kahn 19-10 (EVO debut) Making his Evo debut is Tyson Kahn, a well established fighter from the Ackmerican fight circuit, the man has won four of his last five fights in Syn and is looking to come to europe and make an impression, mostly on Raunio's face. Raunio has three wins in his last five and haven't had the greatest of time since debuting in Evo, the knockout artist is hoping that his phenomenal fists will prove the deciding factor and make Kahn's debut in europe a short one he would soon enough forget. Featherweight: Marc Spector 8-3 (5-2 EVO) v Tuju Kilju 25-6-1 (7-4-1 EVO) Both these fighters are beginning to become veterans in the Evo featherweight division, spector is coming off a loss while Tuju has lost three fights in a row now after coming painfully close to a title shot. Both these well rounded fighters want to turn their careers around and get the W, but only one can get it. Featherweight: Richmond Finch 26-12-2 (9-8-1) v Boyd McGuire 15-8-2 (5-2 EVO) Finch's career has taken a big drop off as of late, the 34 year old Canadian first lost his shot at the lightweight belt, then lost his own featherweight title, and then three more fights in a row racking up a five fight losing streak. Quite a fall from grace from a fighter once thought of as a contender for the #1 P4P crown. Now he's back to his winning ways winning two of his last five. Facing off against him is 29 year old American Boyd McGuire who's one of the up and comers of Evo's 145 division having won four of his last five. Light heavyweight: Winston Hughes 9-4-1 (0-1 EVO) v Feodor Shemelianenko 16-11-1 (2-2 EVO) Hughes crashed hard in his Evo debut, the knockout artist got overpowered standing, in the clinch and on the ground, now he's looking to make up for some lost time by taking on one of Evo's gatekeepers in Feodor Shemelianenko. Feodor is coming off a split decision win, but is hoping for a more dominant performance on saturday seeing this big step up in competition. Middleweight: Pops Maellard 11-5 (2-3 EVO) v Zeus Obliteratii 7-2 (EVO debut) In the first fight of the night Zeus Obliteratii is making his EVO debut, the man ran up a four fight winning streak in UPG, and now that theyve shut down their doors he is taking his services to one of the truly elite organizations in MMA to prove his skills. His opponent Maellard has lost three of his last five and is really in dire need of a win here on saturday to stay relevant in such a competitive organization.

  33. Scott was smart to do this, would of been dumb not to. Anyone else would of done the same if they had the room and the rank. It does point out a small error in the system as someone who was ranked 3rd in the game couldn't have even gotten one of them. I would support a change for someone to have a limit of like 3 free agents a day or something as picking up an entire roster does seem a bit much but it was pretty lulz. Kudos to Davies for seizing the moment.

Landford was a tricky SOB to fight against, but I trained hard and stayed determined to win the belt no matter the cost. My hard work has paid off. Now, is there someone who dares to challenge me?

  35. No. It's always been this way. Not really that big of an issue. Just people butt-hurt because they didn't get fighters they really wanted. If anything, should work like the NBA draft lottery. % of landing FA based on rank. if you guys really wanted fighters that bad, should of lied about getting a Free Agent Credit on spin & win like Bjorn and saying the game glitched you out of it.

  43. The question is will, not should, but a two of the key reasons. Economics The EU is going to be quite shock prone until either the Euro goes or the EP can assert more control on the budgets of member states; having a centralised currency without centralised policy has an enormous number of flaws and the UK was smart to steer clear of the Euro, however even with this the less trade the UK does with the EU member states (and ideally more with other parts of the world) the better for a stable economy even if arguably a less prosperous in the short term. Immigration Given the guilt complex of certain people in Berlin, getting any sensible policy on incoming migrants is going to be next to impossible; and bringing immigrants and refugees into the UK has no benefit beyond making people feel good for helping, while having several drawbacks as every wave of immigrants brings problems at least in the short term (a brief look at Australian history will tell anyone that) and realistically it's now long term too as the need for manual work (read: the need for more people) decreases.

  44. In terms of these open threads vs some closed thread with a few members. I think these are far superior. I can happily weight people's opinions in my head based on their level of expertise and whether I think they are being sensible / knee jerk / self serving etc. Dinooo as an example, had absolutely no interest in what was better for the game - he was just pissed off about one fighter. That's not the sort of opinion to give special status and a closed group is always going to miss certain things. In terms of whether those worries are of any value... I'm not destroying people's fighters and forcing people to "redo their rosters", I'm "forcing" people to train some cardio sessions. Annoying for a few fighters, yep. But it significantly improves the game overall in several ways. I wanna emphasise, I get it when people are annoyed. However, people have to be pragmatic and actually think about stuff not just panic and assume the worst. "Test it on the island" got +4 votes, as far as I can see just because it was a "woah there horsey" kinda of post, trying to slow things down... Nobody on the island has elite physicals. The island is already "testing" what fights look like with lower physicals and has been for its entire existence. When people tell me I don't think things through, then a post like that gets a load of thumbs up, it makes it hard to take some of the criticism seriously.

We didn't do too well last round going 1-4 against the always strong Vendetta team. We hope to turn things around against The Dong Squad The Undateables!. How will we do? Well, you are about to see how i think we can do on the latest episode of: http://i.imgur.com/yPwBr4L.png This week Sully's Regulars will be fighting in London at ITFL 4.2. John Swanson v Rio Yaj Neither men have yet to register a win for their respective team in ITFL competition and on paper it looks like Swanson should easily steamroll through Raj. Swanson's last 2 losses came via cut and i am hearing rumours that his cut has yet to fully heal going into this fight. Will this play a factor? Sully's Prediction: Someone will be registering their first win for their team in this tournament. I feel that despite the cut not healed, Swanson is the tougher fighter and this will be enough and once the adrenaline hits he won't even feel the pain. Swanson via KO in round 2. Danny "Cyclone" Ciprianni v Neil Gilas Gilas is on the back end of a 3 fight losing streak while Cyclone suffered his first defeat in ITFL competition last week. This should light up a fire and i feel sorry for Gilas who will feel the brunt of Cyclone's fury as he bounces back to regain his momentum. Sully's Prediction: Ciprianni to destroy Gilas early in the first round. Hey, just make it quick and painless as possible, ok? Alpa Chino v "Lucky" Liam McGuiness Chino comes in as a replacement for The Undateables, saving Demetri Puleveski from his fourth consecutive KO. Liam has not yet won a fight this tournament, and will he live up to his nickname this round? Despite the replacement, i feel that Liam can earn his team a win while making Chino regret agreeing to enter this tournament. Sully's Prediction: Lucky Liam to turn his luck around and welcome Chino to the tournament with a KO. Johan "Bloody Hailstorm" Attila v Russell "Stringer" Bell I have no idea how Bell got sanctioned to enter this tournament, but he is an adult so he has made his choice. After losing his MMA debut at age 18, Bell returns to action 8 (tycoon) years later in this tournament. Is he crazy???? Sully's Prediction: I see no way this can end well for Bell. Attila will light him up on his feet and if he feels like it he can finish it on the ground. See what he feels like doing on the night. And that my friends is my thoughts on Team Sully's Regulars for this round of ITFL! That's it for The Sully Show for now! Until next time, Train hard Fight hard Play hard And of course, Stay Classy

  46. Islam "Kalifa" Sulimani (287218) lost by unanimous decision I think Islam lost this fight due to tactics, with a much more experienced manager by is side Harry Callahan dominated the fight, with vicious knees from the clinch, Islam looked a bit green,he just couldnt get away from Harry to create distance and strike....all in all a good performance from both athletes....when interview by Fighting Chanel he said: Today was very imbordant day for me, but me no happy because me no win harry strong kid, next time i kill him inshaalha...promisse ....alaah u-akbar
