unfortunately u cannot make 12 yr olds anymore...a whole organisation for kids wellbeing came down on mike hard for the 12 yr olds. they filed a lawsuit and now mike is living in a dumpster behind a library and has to give the old librarian a Rim job just to get some computer time to moderate this game.....its sad i know.

Keep in mind, Maia wasn't even close to the fighter then as he is today. The rest were middle of the road guys. MMA has evolved tremendously. It's a totally different game in today's MMA then it was when one-trick poney's like Matt Hughes could just steamroll through one dimensional opponents. The level of competition is much closer today than it's ever been. DJ is beating guys in their prime. He isn't beating old fighters on their way out the door and he isn't taking "superfights" a weight class above his against dudes who aren't in the top 10 of their w/c (i.e. Irvin, Bonnar, Griffin). MMA records since fighting Jon Jones Shogun (6-5) Evans (2-4) Vitor (4-4) Sonnen (1-2) and was coming off a loss to get a title shot... Machida (5-4) Vitor, Glover, DC, Rashad, Gustafson were undoubtedly in their primes when Jones fought them. Very impressive wins, even though Vitor was a MW moving up to LHW iirc. I didn't add Machida to Jones' list because he was 1-2 in his last 3 with his win coming over a 49 year old Randy Couture lol. He may have been in his prime but questionable receiving a title shot after beating Randy... Anyway. Lost my train of thought. Went through a lot of effort here for some reason lol. I just don't understand how people can say things like "he's not beating enough legends"... since when did quality of opponents become a popularity contest? The guys he is fighting are way more well rounded than most of the dudes on Jon Jones and Anderson Silva's list. I don't think DJ has defended his title against one guy that's coming off a loss, and GSP, Jon Jones, Anderson Silva, they can't say that they never did.

Size, lack of exposure (new division & UFC marketing possibly to blame too), and charisma doesn't really help. He's a true Mixed Martial Artist though and his streak is super impressive. It doesn't help that he doesn't have any poster worthy highlights that they replay over and over again like Silva had or the Showtime kick. I think the new division is really the biggest issue because a bunch of people just dismiss it as a Ronda Rousey thing where they're "beating up irrelevant way less talented people" and that's not the reality of it. We might not be as familiar with his opponents but he's beating up very technical, very skilled fighters, and not denying opponents or challengers because "money fights" or lack of an opponents popularity. He approaches MMA how the game should be played. I'm a huge McGregor and Mousasi fan. It'd hurt a little inside to watch them lose. Mighty Mouse I respect and won't discredit and I like watching him fight because he's very highly skilled and I respect it. I wouldn't necessarily call myself a fan of his though. I wouldn't be sad if the guy lost - unless it was to a Brazilian - I hate Brazilians lol.

Big heart, i.e. he's good at surviving after taking a big hit and holding on - coupled with a strong chin can be a nightmare for opponents. Sadly based on the ToTt hierarchy this means he doesn't have a great chin so might struggle. PS - This should be in the noob help section.

his opponents arent large names or "impressive" because dj stomped the shit out of them. hes obviously the best fighter in the ufc right now and like erik i dont think its particularly close

Kyoji is one of the best in the division. Easily a top 5 guy. He got absolutely tooled by DJ in all facets of MMA. Ali's one of the best in the division. Another top 5 guy. Tim Elliot might be the only guy outside of the top 10 of the division but he was on a 3 fight win streak and DJ cleaned house, so not many guys available. Wilson Reis is easily a top 10 guy. On the 3 fight win streak he was definitely a top 5 guy in the division. Henry Cejudo is an olympic wrestler. Not only could he not take DJ down and keep him there, DJ attacked his weakness and exploited him. He was flawless in that fight. One of DJ's most impressive displays of MMA. Chris Cariaso isn't a slouch. Benavedez and Dodson? Those two are beast at 135 yet alone 125. If it weren't for DJ those two are champions. Discrediting wins over Dodson or Benivedez are like criticizing Anderson Silva for wins over Rich Franklin, or Cain for multiple wins over JDS... Franklin and JDS were still some of the best fighters in the division. Just ran into the better fighter. You also have to remember a lot of these guys are now fighting at 125 but most have been fighting at 135 or 145 their entire careers. They've been undersized - still successful. Still at the pillar of the sport. It's very easy to dismiss his opponents, but they're not old, at the end of their careers, on the bridge of retirement, or on losing streaks receiving title shots (Nick Diaz...) so I never really understand the talk about the quality of his competition. Who in the world in that division is better than these guys? We all wanna see him fight the top guys at 135 (Cruz, TJ, Cody) but that'd be like downing GSP for not fighting Anderson Silva, Franklin, Okami, Bisping, etc... back when GSP was the champ. Or dismissing Jones at the champ cuz he wasn't fighting Cain or JDS. DJ's a beast. He's not the most charismatic or entertaining, but he's one of the best fighters in MMA by far.

The best fighter in the sport right now and I don't think it's particularly close.

One thing you can say about DJ is that he's faced and fought every single person that climbed up his ladder. not many others can say that right now. I personally love watching the little dude fight, he's been pretty exciting lately.

I like seeing him fight myself. I don't see how you cannot say he's the p4p best, the division might have a bad name, but guys like Benavidez, Dodson and McCall aren't lesser fighters than the guys Jones and DC faced.

Hello guys there is a thing I want to share with you and possibly get some advice from you. So 2 days ago I was out with my friends and we where sitting at this slot machine place but where not playing just having few drinks. The place was pretty packed about 10 people but its pretty small as well and the time was around 3am. Time did go on and on and I decided to go home because I was getting really sleepy. I have around 15 minutes of walk to home and there was actually zero people I did meet at my way home and I was home around 4am but then something weird happened. This is the thing I live in apartment place and we have like a code thing down stairs to get in to the door steps. There are 3 way you can get it 1. is you have chip 2. you know the code and 3. you can call up to the flat and they can open the doors. So once I was home 5 minutes later some one tried to guess the flats code because it did beep but the code was wrong and I was a little bit confused. There are 2 sounds it can get one is the code is right and second the code is wrong and it was the last one. Few second later I hear 3-4 very loud kick to the doors downstairs and I did go to check whats going on in the doorsteps and looked in the door eye but no one was in the doorsteps and the light was off. We have a light sensor so if anyone would be inside the doorsteps there would be light but it was pitch dark in there so I just checked if the doors are closed or not and there where. When I went back to the bed around 1 minute later I hear few more lound knocks but now they seem to be little different and I took a look again and I see some little light on the first floor but its not the light from doorsteps but like some one is using flash light or something. Seriously I was little worried but didnt decide to go outside because who knows who are there and whats going on. http://i.imgur.com/2ThqVEz.jpg So turns out some one tried to get in but didnt succeed and I am worried who and why? What if I did come home 5 minutes later? Possible the guy was crazy or something. It seems first he did hit the doors but the second noise was he did get up there and broke the window but only one part of it. Maybe some one scared him off or something. Today I am reading about the Cleveland shooter and am thinking maybe I need to set up some sort of a security camera in the doorsteps so if something is happening there I could film him and set it to police on catch him myself? I don't believe that Mighty Mouse himself is boring, its just that unfortunate that he is Champion of such a small and non-prestigious division. I do disagree with the argument of him being the p4p best, as that's just absurd when you compare his resume to that of Jones and DC, among others. He's great, but his accolades would mean so much more if they were earned in a relevant weight-class.

Well the problem is I dont have any self defense weapon rather than a kitchen knife. If the guy has no weapon I could most likely take him out pretty easy but what if he has a knife or something like that? I dont want to risk with my life.

I agree with you that his winning streak is amazing, but the lack of legendary opponents hurts his status in my opinion. It is not his fault, but there are just not big names there. If he would have been a MW and ran through all the top contenders there for example in a huge winning streak , that would be more impressive. That division is an absolute shark pool, while DJ his division isn't really.
