I opened the Alpha Brasil gym almost a year ago... and I LOVE my fighters being in the public gym (despite my record). I'd love to open more gyms across the Tycoon World. Despite them not being lucrative at all.

Thanks for all the feedback in DMs etc. I can confirm that Combate Fight League is CONFIRMED. We've experienced some decent interest so far and would like to go ahead with the idea, with a July/August start date. LFG!

Rather than formally announce anything... I wanted to gauge if any interest in a PFL-meets-World Cup style fight league under the Combate banner? Format: 16 FIGHTERS per weight class (135-265+). OPEN ID. Group Stage Fighters are split up into 4 seeded (by ranking) groups of four. Each fighter will fight every other member of their group, scoring points based on the fight outcome. (total 3 fights). Points will be distributed as follows: 1st Round Finish 6PTS 2nd Round Finish 5PTS 3rd Round Finish 4PTS Decision Win 3PTS Draw/No Contest 1PT The top two fighters from each group will qualify for the second phase of the tournament. Those who placed in third will remain around the Combate ranks as ALTERNATE fighters, should inactivity or other issues arise. Second Stage I'm split on what to do for the second stage. I used to really enjoy 2 group stages (which would see the remaining 8 split into 2 groups to battle it out)... or should we go into a straight knockout (Quarter-finals, semi-finals and final). Second Group Stage: Identical to the first one, again seeded based on their position from the first group stage (fighters would not fight anybody out of their initial group in this stage). 3 fights each, with the top 2 fighters progressing to the final rounds. Knockout Rounds: Would be a traditional quarter-finals, semi-finals and final! Prize Money 1st Place (in each weight class) receives $1M, alongside an opportunity to defend their title in the following season. 2nd Place receives $100k Losing Semi Finalists receive $25k each Performance of the Night Bonuses $10K each Performance of the Season Bonuses $200k each - KO of the Season, Fight of the Season, Submission of the Season, Upset of the Season & Manager of the Season Combate Champions Combate Champions are encouraged and eligible to enter, defending their title in every fight throughout the season.
