  1. Same Savage Krew - New Year " If you talk to anyone in our gym you'll realize that Sydney, Australia is referred to as Sucker Punch Island" Says manager Robert Smith. The Savage Krew has five fighters signed with Sucker Punch Pro Series. When they land on Sucker Punch Island more times than not they walk away victorious. With an astounding 15 - 2 over all record as a team they continue to push their limits in SPPS. " This week we have Brendan Wallace competing. He is 2- 0 but his next fight is going to be a huge test. Jamal Jameson is a veteran and he has the skills to finish a fight anywhere. Brendan has been working extra hard for this one. We always get here early and get prepared and that's no different this week." Says Coach Quincy. In January 2021 all five members of the Savage Krew will fight for SPPS. Sean Smith already fought and won, earning a title shot in the process. As Smith remains home in California with Brennan Brunswick and Ibrahim Volkov their teammates Wallace and Mason Jones prepare for battle. " I fight next week here on the Island so I figured I would come out early and help Brendan prepare and then next week he'll be in my corner. Over the last month a lot has changed for our team so it's important that I'm here with Brendan." Says Mason Jones In early January Robert Smith converted his gym into a space for all twenty four men signed to him. The Savage Krew and The Death Squad are now under one roof. Coaches are able to use everyone's strengths to help one another. Wallace who is primarily known for his ground game spent much of this camp sparring with Jones and Smith. His stand up is under construction but he believes this fight will showcase how well rounded he truly is. " I believe Jamal is going to look to take this fight to the ground and maybe he feels that's where he dominates. I know about his bjj and his ground and pound but this is mixed martial arts. I train with elite level strikers , I train with Abu Dhabi Champions. Jamal needs to be ready to mix it up everywhere." Says Wallace When asked about how he'll win this fight he responds with " My wrestling is better , my striking is better , my ground game to his I would say is even. He may have a purple belt but in his four victories he only has one submission. If his belt is because of his defense and not his offense I plan to test it. He's older and more experienced, that will make it a tough outing. The thing going for me is my youth, I am faster and more agile for sure. My cardio is second to none and my will to win is ferocious. I expect to win every time I step in that cage and this time is no different." It should be mentioned that Brendan's debut in SPPS came at Welterweight in November but his fight this week is in his new weight class at one hundred and fifty five pounds. He worked very hard to get to this weight so that he would be able to sign a long term deal with Sucker Punch. His fight this Wednesday is the biggest of his young career but if you look at the history of this Savage Krew in SPPS they usually shine during those tough moments.
  2. You're the reason I do this stuff. You always go that extra mile for us managers. All I'm trying to do is add to the fun. I appreciate you mate.
  3. MMA JUNKIE Interview with 6 - 0 SPPS Middleweight Fighter Sean Smith. Press : Sean thanks for taking the time to talk to us today. Your star continues to rise and soon you'll be fighting for a Championship. Before we get to that though let's talk about last weekend. You fought Andy Hughes and won decisively by unanimous decision. I was told however that you left that fight pretty banged up. How are you doing now a few days later? Sean : I'm still quite banged up. I'm back home in LA and just waiting for my body to heal. Press : Word from your manager is you broken your hand in the first round. With a title shot on the horizon how long before that will be healed and you'll be training again? Sean : I'm taking this week off to recuperate my body , starting next Monday I'll be doing non contact drills. I believe with my recovery schedule and with the Middleweight title fight being at the end of the month that I probably won't be back in the cage until late February at the earliest but more than likely it'll be early March. Press : We've become accustomed to your pre fight hype videos but we didn't get any of that for your fight with Hughes. Why is that? Sean : Andy was the toughest test of my career. I knew I couldn't waste time taking shots at him when I could be training. That guy is a tank. I broke my hand on his head early in the first and that's why I kept trying to kick him but he is a smart fighter. The videos and all that is for guys who start talking trash to me. I never saw that from him so henhad my attention on his skills. Press : Do you have plans to be in Sydney , Australia when Jim Beam defends against Landon McQuire? Who do you have in that fight? Sean : I'm not sure about travelling right now. Just depends on how my body feels. That last fight drained me like I've never been drained before. I would like to be in Sydney but right now it's in the air. As far as who I think will win , I'm not too sure. I hold Hirst and Machado to high levels of respect and Beam beat Hirst and Landon beat Machado. I think they're going to put on a great show, I really do. Press : If you got to pick who you fought for the title which guy would it be? Sean : I want to fight Jim , I think his ground game is above average at best but I would like to test that theory. I feel like I have the stand up to test anyone. I also want to fight Landon because if he beats Jim then that means not only would beating him secure my Championship but I would be taking his undefeated record and adding a blemish to it. Press : When you ultimately get that Championship wrapped around your waist what message would that send to the rest of the division? Sean : Honestly, I believe when I become World Champion people will believe they have an easier path to the title. You have all these well rounded guys , brown belts , black belts , grappling champions. Here I am , a 21 year old bjj blue belt. Never been tested on the ground , never been taken down. Guys like Machado , DeAngelo, Lannister , they got to be foaming at the mouth to fight me. They think I am an easy target , the thing is everyone who came before them thought the same thing. Six bodies I dismantled , five chins I've cracked. I know I'm young , I know people think they have me figured out but I also know what they don't. Press : There was talk not long ago about you moving to light heavyweight because you have two teammates in this division. If you win the Middleweight Championship do you stay and defend it or move on? Sean : Jacob Parker versus Sean Smith would pack out an arena but I still have four or five names on my list at eighty five. Machado , Hirst , Lannister come to mind. Maybe in time after three or four title defenses I'll make the walk but right now I have to focus on the task at hand and that's getting healthy and winning that Championship. Press : The future looks bright for the Young Gun and his Savage Krew teammate's. Anything to add before we let you go? Sean : Be ready , whomever wins that championship needs to be ready. Ain't about destiny and all that shit. It's about who's willing to grind for it. I come the from the mud and none of y'all put in the work I do. Savage Krew , let's get it!!
  4. After selling out 3 months in a row on the first day we've had stock we finally added new designs. 5 new sets available now and going fast. Plus all designs restocked and available in 3 days.
  5. Sucker Punch Pro Series is the absolute best managed organization in this game. I have zero complaints. Hare goes the extra mile. BFC and CACC are my follow ups. Love them both.
  6. I'm happy to have one nomination. Much appreciated. My nom is for Hare. This man busts his hump every single week up to 5 very in depth writing pieces each week.
  7. After SPPS 31 : Pre- Christmas Blast the media met with the winners of tonight's event. The Savage Krew made their presence known earlier in the evening with two massive knockout wins. Brennan Brunswick in under a minute and Mason Jones in less than two minutes. They take the stage with their manager Robert Smith and top SPPS Middleweight contender Sean Smith. Press : Brennan , tonight you made your official company debut after signing a long term deal at Middleweight. You got a huge win and made an instant impact on the rankings I am sure. How did you feel in there at 185 for the first time? BB : I ended it quick , felt good and sent a message to the rest of the division. The weight cut was easy , we've been working with nutritionists to make sure we did things the right way. Press : Mason , you now have your second win since signing with a new manager in Robert Smith. Can you tell us what the last few months in this new stable and new team has been like? MJ: I love my team , my manager , everyone around us. We are a family and I can honestly say I haven't missed a step. The transition has been great. I'm sitting in the top ten of my weight class and top twenty of the company. Press : Sean Smith , tonight you were merely a spectator and supporter for your teammates but we know you had eyes on that Middleweight title fight. What are your thoughts on Jim Beam becoming Champion? SS - Shit, I'm elated. Andy Hughes is on my hit list and when that fight is over and my hand is raised bet your ass I'm calling out JB. I want all the smoke, bring the ground game , bring the whiskey and bring that cracked chin because I can't wait to break it. He's been ko'd four times, and three of those times he got beat by dudes that aren't even close to my level of striking. I'm ready for Hughes and then I'll be ready for JB. Press : Sean , you now have two teammates in your division with Breenan dropping weight. He has a climb but what happens if you two become top two in the devision? BB : We fight!! If a title is on the line then we fight. No excuses. SS: You want us to throw down you gotta pay us right and the title got to be on the line. But youngblood is dedicated and I know us being the two sharks in this division is only a matter of time. Press : Mason , for you what fight makes sense next? MJ: Everyone ranked above me is booked but Loria and Bass. Loria just lost so I ain't fighting em'. Ronnie to me is the most hyped and popular guy in this division. Ronnie puts on the type of fights I enjoy. He has a hell of a lot more experience and I know I would be in for a hard night but if I got to choose I'd pack my lunch and prepare for a war against the former Champion. Press : That on paper sounds like a really fun scrap. Brennan as you climb the ranks at 185 what would you like to do next? Who would you like to fight? BB: Well you said climb the ranks , to me that sounds like I need opponents ranked above me. Right now only two of those guys exist and they both fought tonight. Tyrion Lannister with a big win and a ground game that would make camp not fun is available and the former Champ, Hirst is available. I doubt the promotion offers me the former Champ but if they did I would accept. MJ: In our team , at our gyms a saying we have is prove your worth. Tonight Brennan did that , he did it last month against a much bigger opponent on days notice. If anyone can go in there and step up to a pissed off former Champ it's him. Whoever they give him I know this kid will bust his ass to be ready for them. He's 18 , most kids his age are in college partying and sleeping around. This guy is in the gym every day, he's making his dreams come true. I know Nyah Hirst is a big test but at some point they're all big tests. Give the kid what he wants , what he deserves. Press : This one is for your manager Robert Smith. Robert, you have a stable of men with a combined SPPS record of 11 wins and two losses. This is obviously one of your favorite fight organizations. What or who is next to come to SPPS? RS: Well first off I absolutely agree with your statement , we all love this organization. We all love Hare , Donkey , Suzi and everyone behind the scenes. I have Sean and Ibrahim coming back on January ninth and Brendan Wallace makes his lightweight debut in late January. I'm hoping to get one of both of these guys on that January 20th card as well. As far as new talent to keep an eye on though, look no further than 8-2 grappler Joey " The Goods" Woods. He left CACC after fulfilling his duties and winning a tournament there. Now he'll probably spend the first quarter of the year training stand up but in early summer or late spring you can expect to see him in SPPS. I'm already bugging Hare about it. MJ : We appreciate y'all for having us. BB: Thanks, Everyone. Happy Holiday's. SS: Here in Australia our boy Brennan can drink legally. So we're going to go have a few drinks to celebrate tonights wins!! Thanks for having us!! RS: In 2020 The Savage Krew made their names known. In 2021 , we eye Championship Gold. Many thanks to Hare and the entire SPPS family for all your hard work. Looking forward to another fruitful year for all of us!! Happy Holidays!!
