  1. Laz Staz Theksit Ruengruong Billy Arseworth These are my main 3 candidates, in that order.
  2. Easy: Karim vs Kilo I https://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=1071514 This was #1 vs #2. You rarely ever get a #1 vs #2 in this game because usually the weight classes dont match up and usually somebody loses the rank by the time the fight takes place. It took us months to make it happen, there was a lot of hype in this fight. The negotiation process was arguably the most difficult in recent years. We also had to try to get this fight in before the Olympics because both fighters were going to compete there, we had a very small window for that to happen. Kilo was on a 16 fight winning streak (unprecedented for the 265+ weight class).
  3. Rod De Minaur he won the Combate, GAMMA and Syn titles..................................in the same damn year! WTF. He also went 13-1, only loss was to Yodsingkhun Sitsongrit who held the GAMMA title for most of the year. Yodsingkhun Sitsongrit has a good debate since he had the win over Rod, who is the main candidate for the award, but he had a 11-2 record and had lower profile wins.
  4. https://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=1049227 Hussein KO of Joosep. Reasons. Joosep is known for having a granite chin against the best fighters at 205lbs. This was a high profile win, Hussein was the underdog but he was #49 vs #9. This win was a KO, not a TKO (unlike some of the nominations above). It happened on the 4:59 mark of the 3rd round!!! Basically the fight was over and Joosep was about to get a typical decision win. Lost in the last second to a Head Kick KO!!!
  5. Syn was the best org during the year, based on performance and results. I also think Sucker Punch did a fantastic job during this year, but i would say they are more of "breakout org of year", if such an award even exists.
  6. It has to be Karim Johnson. Avenged his loss to Lovanov and had the win over Kilo (but that was at 265lbs). His only other loss was against Pedro Fuentes in the Olympics. 13 total wins during the year, most were high profile. I think all of them were against top 100 (at least) opponents.
  7. Has to be Joosep Lhmus, after losing his first fight of the year (in a high profile super fight), got to the finals of the Olympics and beat the main competition for this award (which has to be Khan) 2x this year. He also avenged his loss to Song (2x) and regained his title from Mike McGuire after losing to him. For me, activity and quality of competition is a huge factor. I remember back in the day when i think some fighter won the fighter of the year with 8 or 9 fights, that is a joke. Anything below 12 fights should automatically disqualify any candidate. Joosep was ultra active, he had a ridiculous 20 fights in this year, and most of his fights were either super fights (total of 7 fights against high profile fighters outside of GAMMA! That has to be a record in recent years) or title fights, where he had a total of 12!
  8. I remember the old Cage Rage, it seems they started out at the same time as Cage Warriors. At the beginning they had more success, but it seems they were poorly managed financially. If i am not mistaken, that is where i saw Anderson Silva first time.
  9. Damn, i did not know they were losing so much cash. I sure hope we do not see orgs like ONE close down soon. We need more competition, not less.
  10. I would not mind seeing any new cities, however, cities play an insignificant role in this game and since the game world has shrunk, why add more cities? Changing current cities makes no sense. If we should add any city though, most likely Dubai would probably be first on the list, considering how popular a destination it begun since this game started, then Singapore, based on the fact that the second biggest org in the world currently resides there in real life.
  11. Maybe we should have one of those as well and have Frito be the first inductee.
  12. GAMMA has the final results for it's overall best fighter of the year. The way this works is similar to how our GAMMA Hall of fame, so we give: -3 points for a win, -1 point for a loss, -2 points for a draw, -1 point for fight of the night awards, -4 points if the fight was a title or super fight. I only include fighters who won a title during the year and had at least 8 wins in GAMMA (because anywhere less than 8 wins wont place them high enough anyway). The winner for the year, with 125 points goes to Karim "Carnage" Johnson (347353)!!! His overall record was 13-4, but what separated him from the rest was the level of competition. He had a total of 17 (in other words all his fights) were either a title of super fight! I think that has never happened. Also 14 of the 17 fights were a Fight of the night (note: In GAMMA fight of the night awards always go to high profile top 3 fights on the card, unless we lack KO/Sub awards in those top 3). Very close in second place was GAMMA legend with Joosep "Little Bunny" L0hmus (325071) with 120 points. This is the second year in a row that Joosep finished in second. He becomes one of just 5 (if i am not mistaken) fighters in our history to be ranked in the top 3 fighters of the year on 2 different occasions. The difference between the 2 fighters was essentially Karim had 1 extra Title/Super fight and a few extra FON awards. I think this was the first time we had 2 fighters with 120 points or more at the end of the year. 3rd place goes to Chamuaknoi Sitsongrit (325755) with 97 points. What is shocking is that essentially Chamuaknoi Sitsongrit is undefeated in GAMMA since joining in 2021. His only loss came via super fight. The only reason he is not first or second is due to volume of fights (and that is not even his fault, there was less viable competition). This is the final top 10 rankings: Karim "Carnage" Johnson (347353) 13-4 Title + Super 17 Fight of night 14 125 Total points Joosep "Little Bunny" L hmus (325071) 13-5-1 Title + Super 16 Fight of night 10 120 Total points Chamuaknoi Sitsongrit (325755) 12-1 Title + Super fights 13 Fight of night 8 97 Total points Jack "The Guvnor" Spratt (347077) 10-5-1 Title + Super 11 Fight of night 9 90 Total points Song Turillo (327928) 10-4-1 Title + Super 9 Fight of night 10 81 Total points Dougal McCraken (320702) 9-6 Title + Super 8 Fight of night 2 67 Total points Yodsingkhun Sitsongrit (348460) 11-2 Title + Super 7 Fight of night 1 64 Total points Aurelius "Kaiser" Augustus (357859) 9-3-2 Title + Super 6 Fight of night 6 64 Total points Mike McGuire (349270) 12-6 Title + Super 3 Fight of night 2 56 Total points Roland Weudke (334657) 11-4 Title + Super 2 Fight of night 4 49 Total points
  13. If he makes it to the 2nd of February, it will be 10 real years he has been fighting. Does that not automatically give him Hall of Fame status? 😁
  14. Fuentes vs Siam winner being discussed vs Karim (Sucker Punch vs GAMMA)

  17. Song Turillo (327928) HALL Of Fame Induction Managed by GAMMA Hall of Fame manager, Whymer Van Mastodon. Upon retirement he was ranked #24 among all GAMMA fighters with 197 points. This is 4th among fighters who competed at 205lbs, behind Jeremy Tonal (31632), Damagon Encharya (326581) and Menace Defoe (268296) (Menace also being a fighter managed by Whymer). A former #7 ranked fighter in the game. His overall GAMMA record was 30-13-2, with 20 fight of the nigh awards. Song was involved in 15 title fights at 205lbs. Only 11 fighters in GAMMA history beat him in this category. He is also a 3 time GAMMA 205lbs champion. Over his career he had some memorable wins, the most notable of these have to be Anthony Falcone, Yka Sonni, Husein Magomaevaboff, Larry Williams, Damagon Encharya, Robert MacArthur Jnr, Shawn Antoski, Joosep Lohmus. He will be remembered for his rivalry against Joosep, which spanned from 2019-10-05 until 2022-10-15. A rivalry he ended up losing 3-5-1 (the 2 losses were at the end, it was 3-3-1 at one stage). Song will go down as being one of the best 205lbs fighters in GAMMA history and his rivalry with Joosep is one that will unlikely ever be beaten. This will be a record breaking 7th fighter induction for Whymer, the nearest person with 5 inductions is Gale Hawthorne (22636).
  18. I can only use existing divisions, so i cannot really add a 175 / 165lbs division as there is no space for that on the roster. If we could add manual divisions, then i would not need to consider any of these changes, i would probably keep just a separate MMA / MT setup and have the same divisions for both MMA and MT.
  19. I got this reply from Odense owner Brian Jensen: From : Brian Jensen (conversation) 23 Dec, 2022 09:56:03 Subject : Re: Mike Okafor (362374) Hey, I released him so he could join Syn Okafor had already faught everybody at Odense and won, so he needed new Challenges That does not sound like a super fight to me 🙂 I do not mind, we can keep it as it is for this particular fight. But in the future if a fighter signs up permanently, lets not add them to the super fight results.
  20. Mergers or any fighter joining permanently from another org "do not qualify" as super fights. For example, i just released Yodsingkhun Sitsongrit after he was picked up by a new manager. He is ranked top 100 currently. So if you sign this fighter, you will count that as also being a super fight against GAMMA? 🙄 Which also means that if Okafor joined Syn permanently, this also does not count as a super fight, it is a "new signing", not a super fight. Taking 20 of the best fighters from Combate still counts as a merger. I mean if i was to merge an org and i had fighters who rank way below my minimum cap, why would i sign them? Of course i would release them or let them stay / leave, do whatever they want. Regarding the mergers, what are you getting all upset about? Yes, Syn has pulled off lots of mergers in the past few years. Most of your top fighters are most likely via mergers. Besides Combate (which also merged SFL, which indirectly means you merged them as well), we also had Alpha-1, Smash and a few others from this list (HFC / CEC?) ....................i am kind of losing count of all these mergers to be honest. Also, I am not downplaying anything, go ahead, merge the competition, it is a sound strategy and it clearly is working. In fact, most bubble sized orgs in this game were created after mergers. But when it comes to "dominating the league", it is hard to not dominate when you merge a lot of the competition 🙂
  21. So you are telling me, all those fighters wont remain part of Syn after the fights take place and that they will return to Combate to continue their career's there? Because last time we spoke on the 13th of December, you said you was merging Combate. If they will remain as part of Syn, then they are Syn fighters, end of story. Regarding the "blow everyone out every season", I personally think Syn is easily the biggest org with the best roster, that is what you get when you merged 3 of the top 4 competing Orgs participating in this league (if i am correct, Syn merged CFC, Pulse, and now Combate). Despite all this, considering you have 7 of the top 10 fighters in the game, you should not need to book Syn champs against Highland "late creation" fighters to win the league. Based on shear volume, Syn should be winning the league every season as it stands as you receive points on losses as well.
  22. Season 7 STANDINGS (Updated After the above fight) Syn 36 GAMMA 23 Sucker Punch Pro Series 8 SMASH 7 Odense 6 Combate 5 Highland 2 World Vale Tudo Fight League (WVT) 1
  23. Combate is merging with with Syn, so why are you registering those fights as super fights? Makes no sense to me, which is why wont be including them in the league results.
  24. Dwayne is 4-5 since beating Lohmus, the 2 losses were the ones you mentioned, but he still lost another 3 more fights. You could say the Lohmus win was an upset, but these things happen.
  25. Frankly speaking, anyone who is a "late creation" fighter, competing in a late creation org, cannot possibly be in the conversation for "best fighter of the year" award. The biggest surprise is that such a fighter won a Syn belt. But i just had a look, it seems to be a "super fight" 265+ belt because it is not being defended at all. He won that belt in April and has not been defended even once. Also that belt had just 2 defenses since 2019, so it is hard to say he is a "Syn" champ, when he had just one fight in Syn. What is interesting was that the fight was against another "late creation" fighter https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=372546 So yeah, not sure what the deal is with the 265+ Syn belt.
