  1. Sorry, this is slightly off topic because it's really a "training engine" query under the new system. One of my fighters just de-popped in speed. That in itself is not a problem at all, I completely understand that it's a tiny drop causing the red arrow However, I was a bit surprised to see that speed dropped as I'd aimed general CTs fairly recently, and assuming that resets thetickers for all physicals then it should not be the tickers decline causing the de-pop as it was well within the 40 sessions. By process of elimination therefore it must have been either age decline (not possible as he's not yet 28) or because he's reached his potential (he's over 77% total, so must be this). My reading of the wiki indicates that if you've reached your potential, then effectively every time you train then every skill that you did not train that session will suffer some sort of decrease. Taken in the round, the fighter's overall skill points will remain unchanged. The extent of the spread of the decreases for skills not trained that session will depend on how long it has been since the fighter trained in each of those skills (the longer it had been, the proportionately higher the decrease). If that's correct, was my fighter just so close to the limit between skill levels for speed that basically whatever share of the decrease that speed received, it would show as a de-pop, or is there more to it? eg that skills at higher levels are also weighted to share a proportionately higher amount of the decrease? For instance, this fighter's elbows and knees continue to rise slowly since the changes, despite not training elbows or knees at all, and only doing minimal MT sparring. As a result, I would have thought that elbows and knees would keep getting pinged back when other skills increase due to him being at his potential but this doesn't seem to be the case.
  2. You're closer to the practical reality. I posted in the tournament thread, to bump it and remark on this. Should be a great fight!
  3. Shows it is a long time since I looked back at this thread, Dirk. Not a $6m prize for winning (perhaps I was getting mixed up with the QFC tournament?). You're absolutely right that the likelihood is that the winner will lose about $1m to fees as there's not much point in having the full amount paid to the fighter who wins only to then have the same issue of trying to extract the cash! The money is besides the point anyway really. First time I've made the final of a tournament so I'm really looking forward to it. Not sure if it's a first time for JLP as well?
  4. Pretty sure the prize is $6m. However, after inevitable fees the winner will receive less than that!
  5. This does indeed suck. At least ESPN came with the Sky Sports app on my iPad. There's no way BT Sport will do anything like that.
  6. Agreed, the system is operating as intended. This is an inconsistency between private jet flights and regular/first class flights. The former don't stop you flying anywhere at anytime, but the latter are very much more restrictive.
  7. This is what I posted about the other day when travelling long haul and was unable to find a single private jet for the whole journey. So I booked shorter haul private jet flights for parts of the journey but there was one part I couldn't get a flight for but then it gave me the same message you've got if I tried booking a non-private jet flight for that part, even though it was actually helping me get to the fight on time! I had to hire a private jet for a day in the end.
  8. Are you sure you've completed a fair test though? Same gym, same training type (eg always 1 on 1 coaching), same change of clothes time, etc? Ultimately I can only go on personal experience, and I've seen fighters of mine (under those conditions) maintain identical morale levels to each other (to 2 decimal places, visible on Tycoon Assistant, anyway) for weeks after they were created. So either these fighters happen to have the same confidence hidden (probability of that is incredibly small, but obviously not impossible - 1 in 3,375,000 when creating three fighters simultaneously) or confidence doesn't affect morale drops from training.
  9. Virtually certain that is entirely false. Try creating a number of new fighters at exactly the same time, training in the same gym, under the same conditions. Then you'll see their morale drop by identical amounts session after session.
  10. Just spotted I posted this in the wrong forum, but never mind as Mike has at least seen it
  11. Just the energy bars, which is the same issue as it was before. Don't know why it's that one each time!
  12. I've been meaning to post this for weeks - these charts stopped showing up for me again. I use Safari on my iPad. I did check it on my wife's laptop as well though, and it didn't show up there on Chrome, but did on IE (not sure what version that is without checking). I know this was noted as an issue some months ago, and it was resolved back then. Unfortunately it didn't last long though.
  13. They all have different benefits though, so you'd miss out on the possibility of those if you flew without them. (Without checking, I think gaming can help to improve morale, and Internet gives possibility of interviews for a popularity boost) Mike might confirm, but I assume the probability of the IQ test occurring is independent of what other possible benefits can arise on the flight.
  14. You obviously forgot to tick the "has mad Xbox skillz" box at creation.
  15. Thanks, and seconded re the brilliant write-up

    Draws

You're right, there are too many St. Lucians around these days... Either, or both, of Dirk's options would be good. I do think it's good to leave the first solution as an option, though. I doubt many would actively want the possibility of draws, but quite possibly some org owners would.
  17. There was talk about this on mmajunkie.com the other day, saying that a new UK deal was in the offing anyway. Can't remember what it was suggesting the result might be, but think it was Sky Sports. I don't recall a new channel being mentioned.
  18. Fair enough. It does need to make sure that the tariff is at the same sort of level though - eg 90 days VIP for the retirement option, a further 200 days to view hiddens (as these basically equate to the shorter VIP time periods/costs for $10/20). Then perhaps the option for 270 days (approx 9 months) to order both in one go, which realistically is likely what most using this would go for. That would be a combined price of $28 basically (3 + 6 months VIP).
  19. I'd certainly pay $10, probably more like $20 in fact, simply to retire a fighter I didn't want falling into the hands of others. For the chance to see their hiddens when retired, I'd definitely be prepared to pay $20. That is privileged information that should carry an appropriate price-tag. It really should be pretty special to get access to it. I agree with Lance, this is certainly not something where you'd be ripping anyone off. You massively undersell yourself on the game, Mike, and should certainly be making more money from it overall.
  20. Does sparring have any effect on related secondaries? And vice versa, training secondaries on the relevant primary? So not resetting them, but having a smaller impact?

    Flight plans

I know full well why this was put in place, as commented on in my OP. it just seems that the system could be made a little more sophisticated to overcome this problem. As already stated on the whingeing thread re NCs, I'm not a fan of automatic magic travel to the fight location. If it was implemented, I'd very much only want it to result in an auto-loss for the at-fault fighter/manager - such severe energy and morale losses (regardless of where they were transported from) that they will definitely lose, and lose heavily.
  22. I expect the main problem is that people are NOT looking at any page to understand this. Instead merely complaining/querying it when it happens. The OP of this thread even says that's the case in his opening sentence. Humours failed to pay heed to the warning on auto-reallocation of skills despite pretty much living on the site. Some (and by "some" I really mean "most") users simply don't engage with the changes. Or even the basic mechanics of the game since the beginning. Sorry, not really providing a solution there.

    Flight plans

I've just discovered that the normal (i.e. non-private jet) flight system appears not to let you book a flight to location X for a fighter who's got a fight booked in location Y. It could be this only kicks in a certain number of days prior to the fight. On the face of it, that may seem reasonable. However, let me explain the problem and my proposed solution. For quite a few routes, private jet owners do not run direct flights (that's their choice, they're their jets after all). So instead I try to sometimes piece together my own routes for sections of the route. Where I've run into a problem is here (I'm trying to get my fighter, Shane Luger, from Hilo to London). I can book separate private jets from Tokyo to St Petersburg, then from there to London. There are no private jet flights from Hilo to Tokyo, therefore I tried booking a 1st class flight for that leg, only to find it getting blocked for the above reason. Solution? If a fighter already has his onward travel booked that will get him to his fight on time, then this (well-meaning) control should be overridden. I have tried posting a request on the relevant private jet request page, but to no avail. I have no idea if private jet owners even check that out. Currently my only palatable option is to hire a private jet to complete that first leg (very expensive), plus for that luxury there is no advance hire option either. This is equally frustrating as it means needing to plan ahead and then also to remember to book at the right time. I can see that this solution could potentially be open to abuse (e.g. if a manager later cancelled the later travel legs, but this example should be easy to prevent).
  24. Very nice write-up, but Marciano will probably have to wait his turn. Some new boys have arrived in GAMMA-town, and I believe Mentor wants to keep that hype within the org for a little while longer.
