  1. While it may not be true, it feels to me that MT is the least significant of the four primaries in a fight. I think adding clinch subs would diminish the significance of MT, unless there was a MT sub secondary, separate from BJJ. I'm not a huge fan of the idea. I think this is where the balance of the game outweighs the realism we want.
  2. Hello, I am looking for an artist to make belt logos and an organization logo for a soon to be created org. Please send me a message in game if you are interested, including your fee: http://mmatycoon.com...php?MgrID=12045 If more than one party shows interest, please be able to send me a quick link to something you have done in the past. Thanks in advance!
  3. It wouldn't be a help in that fight, but maybe in the future. You'd be able to see how well your fighter did with less energy, how well he could hit with less energy, etc. I think it would help with setting the aggression/counter slider in the future.

    Invite in gym

I agree with the invite manager thing. If an alliance has a private gym, and a member makes a new fighter, then that fighter has to be invited again. There definitely should be some sort of option that you can check off where all fighters under managers can join, regardless of when they were created.
  5. Dontae: Thanks Mr. Peels. This hasn't been the first time I've been told I have a real good personality. In fact, I often get compliments about having multiple personalities! I'm too good for just one! I want to thank Sergio for playing with me on Wednesday. It was fun! Let's do it again sometime.
  6. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24w9.jpg Dontae: Silly, I'm not an asshole, but I have one in my butt! I'm ok with being cocky too. I love chickens! The girls are called hens and the boys are called cocks. I love cocks! They're so tasty. I can't wait for our fight tomorrow, I hope you do good! (Clearly you didn't realize that Dontae is the biggest dumbass in MMATycoon history)
  7. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24w9.jpg Dontae: Der, I'm fightin' in three days? No way! I didn't know that. What a great birthday present, and it's not even my birthday!
  8. I don't see why it would be shot down. If I'm mounted by someone and they choose to get up, I want to let them get up!
  9. This seems like something very basic that should be in the game. If I'm a better MT fighter, I'll often allow the clinch. What if the opponent is a better MT fighter and we're already in the clinch? It makes sense that you should be able to allow your opponent to break clinches and stand up. I know I don't go 100% break clinch, so sometimes there's the occasion when I keep an opponent in the clinch or on the ground when he wouldn't want to in real life.
  10. Fox's Lounge in NY still looking for a nutrition partner. Several people use the vending machine every day, but I am running out of stock from my old partner. Shoot me a message in game http://mmatycoon.com/managerprofilemanager.php?MgrID=71256
  11. In my opinion, the top rankings should be reserved for the best overall fighters. What you are talking about is best slider skills, which is completely different from best overall fighters. If your QFC fighter went against one of these elite fighters, your QFC fighter would be crushed, because he is not as good of a fighter. Slider skills and fighter rankings are two different things. When the two populations get segregated, think of the QFC #1 rank as having the best slider skills in the game, as opposed to the best fighter in the game. I also have to agree with other managers when they say you aren't on a level playing field in QFC because of hiddens, though I would agree it is as level of a playing field as you can get.
  12. Don't let it go to a decision then.
  13. The guy you're talking about is retired. The only fight that would make sense with someone above me in hype is hotop. He's seven above. The other guy that doesn't have a fight is undefeated, so he shouldn't fight a guy below him. Believe me, I look at fighter rankings before making call outs! You were above me in rank.
  14. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11w19.jpg Shivakamini Somakandarkram: Zayed, I've done enough talking. As they say here in America, actions speak louder than words. So, let's go to the tape: "Abdullah throws an elbow but it misses. Abdullah doesn't land with the attempted body shot. Somankandarkram working some nice short punches in the clinch. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/rocked.gif Abdullah is rocked! Somankandarkram misses with a short punch on the inside. Abdullah is still on wobbly legs! Can Somankandarkram finish him? http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/breakclinch.gif Somankandarkram breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Abdullah swings wildly with a couple of big hooks and Somankandarkram counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Abdullah is breathing heavily. Somankandarkram rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abdullah moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Somankandarkram throws a shot from downtown. Abdullah moves away and avoids it. Look low, kick high! Somankandarkram uses the oldest trick in the book to send Abdullah tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Somankandarkram is absolutely delighted - when Abdullah wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy! Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Shivakamini Somankandarkram! Post fight, Shivakamini Somankandarkram took to the microphone: 'Zayed! I told you I would destroy you! No go back and complain about not getting the fight you wanted. Your tears fuel me.'." Please direct deposit my knockout of the night award, Steel. I await my next opponent, but I'll let it be known who I want. I fight Zayed, I destroy Zayed. Who better to fight next than Zayed's old rival, to show I am better than both of them? I challenge you, Warren Hotop.
  15. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11w19.jpg Shivakamini: Zayed, you don't take me seriously. Last night I had a dream. It was our fight. It was a premonition. You came out to the ring on horseback. The horse was your mother. I knew I'd seen her before, she's from those caveperson Geico commercials. In the octagon, after demounting your mother, you complained about the other guy. Ohhh I don't want to fight Shiva. Then I came out, destroyed you for the first round, but let you live into the second so you would have a little hope. At the beginning of the second, I crushed that hope, and crushed you. The ref had to rip me off of your carcass as I won with a TKO victory. In two days, my dream will come true. (Side note: I actually did have a dream that I was reading pbp and Shiva won in the beginning of the second. I think I'm on this game too much...)
  16. I think that there should be an option as a gym owner that you can check off that says: "revoke gym membership of fighters when they have been released." So that other gyms who would like to keep released fighters could still do so, and those alliance private gyms could easily remove non-alliance fighters.
  17. He was successful on 33% of his TDs in the 1st. He had 33 over 5 rounds, and he has some of the best, if not the best cardio at heavyweight. He's also the best in the world. I was comparing him to the guy I fought, who had double Cain's takedown attempts in the first, doesn't have the cardio and isn't a world class athlete. Cain looked sloppy with all those takedown attempts. Think about how this guy with double that looked, to show how unrealistic it is (if we are talking simulation).
  18. Dontae Sheldon: Gee there Sergio! Looks like I'm makin' lots of friends, they all want to try me out! If they want me to fight you, I'll do it!
  19. Thanks, +1. I do see where you're coming from. The last real fight where I can think of a bit of takedown spamming was Velasquez vs. Junior. Cain went for a lot of early takedowns, and a lot of them were dangerous. He definitely did not go for the teens in the first round though, because that would have been ridiculous, despite having some of the best cardio in MMA. This is kind of the thing I'm talking about. I did ask for and was granted a rematch. I hope this one goes my way.
  20. I agree that three or four takedown attempts is a little ridiculous for being gassed. However, takedown attempts, at least in real life should be well timed, and if you do them extremely aggressively, you'll get a knee to the jaw for your efforts. Three or four takedown attempts in a round? I think that's fine. 15 or 16 and still being successful? Not so much.
  21. Think about someone who attempts 17 takedowns in 5 minutes. I don't care if he got me down on his first attempt, his second attempt, his third attempt, etc. That would make sense. But how about a takedown attempt when you are around 15% energy as he was after looking at his energy post fight? A guy with barely enough energy to throw a punch is able to take someone down and submit them? I'll withdraw my issue with takedown spamming. Go ahead and takedown spam away. It's with the fact that people can still pull off high energy moves with dangerously low energy.
  22. Could you elaborate how the problem is with me rather than not read the fight and throw out that opinion? It'd be appreciated. He has a granite chin, and my guy didn't have KO power (5 out of 6 wins are by decision). When on the ground, I went from being in my half-guard and worked to get on top. Are you suggesting that there should be stand up spamming in order to correct for takedown spamming? Seems like it.
  23. I will admit this post is coming out of frustration, but I have seen it before. Barely into the second round my fighter swatted away 17 takedown attempts. The 18th takedown attempt was the charm. The opponent was gassed, and shouldn't have been able to power through for that takedown attempt. If someone has in the mid teens in takedown attempts in one round, he should be too tired to overpower someone for takedown! I would like to say I have only seen this happen once, but it has happened multiple times. Here is the fight in question: http://mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=529108 The other I've had wasn't as drastic, but it was still double digit takedown attempts.
