  12. Noah Cold post fight interview http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/5/5w1.jpg “Noah, it's been a tough go for you lately. A tough matchup for you today with Alber De Morcerf, losing by unanimous decision what was the game plan going into this fight?” “Yea it’s definitely been a rough go lately. I knew that Albert had great BJJ skills so I wanted to stay off the ground for sure. I felt like I was winning the standup, I don’t know what I was thinking walking into the clinch though. I pretty much gave the fight to him, with stupid errors on my part. Albert is a tough fighter, and I don’t want to take anything away from him. I feel like I could have won this fight for sure though” “If you feel like you could have won the fight, would you be up for a rematch in the future?” “You bet your ass I would be! Getting me all jacked up just thinking about it. Like I said I feel like I could have won the fight I just need to eliminate the mistakes that I made.” “You had solid defense in this match, take down defense and staying out of the clinch when Albert was the initiator. Have you been working on those two things in the gym?” “To be honest, not really I have been focusing on my cardio and just getting in better shape. I work my ass off in the gym, I feel like my record isn’t reflective of my dedication.” “Hopefully there will be a quick turnaround in your performances, keep up the great work and thank you for your time.” “Thank you for the time, and thanks to all the fans for the support that you have given me.”
  13. Post fight interview with Corey "Strong Jaw" Maxx http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/30/30b29.jpg “Corey You had another great outing and another victim fall prey to the power you pack in your punches. What is the key to your success?” “Haha, yea another KO for me, it’s a great start to my young career. I just go from fight to fight, try not to get to ahead of myself. The last thing I want is to get cocky and be on the other end of that punch.” “Your last fight you had brought out some challengers from the wood work. With two wins under your belt now any response to them?” “Anytime someone has success there will always be someone who thinks they should be getting the attention instead of you. My power is no joke…my boxing skills are no joke… I welcome any challengers that come my way. I just try to keep focused on the training and hopefully it pays off in the octagon.” “Anirudh “BABYFACED ASSASSIN” Negi specifically called you out, how would you feel about a match-up with him” “Like I said… I am ready for anyone; If Tony wants this match to happen it will happen. I would love to get in the octagon with Negi, but I only get paid to fight not to make the matches. It looks like he is on a two fight winning streak as well so our paths are bound to cross at some point.” “Corey, as always thank you for your time, and I wish you the best of luck in the future. Is there anything else that you would like to add?” “Nope, just want to get back to the locker room and take care of this scratch on my head hah.”
  14. Shogun followed up the very successful opening event with another heart pounding, full of excitement event in Shogun MMA: The Fall. Let’s kick things off already! First Bout Murilo Gracie (0-0-0) vs. Bruce Lee (1-1-0) Bruce Lee had the same game plan as he did in his first fight with Shogun, and it let to the same result. Bruce clinched early and went for the takedown and was successful, but unfortunately it led to his arm being singled out and put in a kimura. Murilo Gracie made his debut pro fight at Shogun and came through with a win. Victor: Murilo Gracie via submission (Kimura), fighter improves to 1-0-0 Second Bout Omicron PerseiEight (6-4-0) vs. Kuai Wu (1-1-0) Omicron PerseiEight was relentless in his attack in the clinch during his bout with Kuai. Mixing up dirty boxing and elbows forcing the ref to stop the fight due to a cut 3mins56seconds into round 2. Both fighters made their debut for Shogun MMA and had a very entertaining match. Victor: Omicron PerseiEight via TKO (Cut), fighter improves to 7-4-0 Third Bout Bubba Jones (3-0-0) vs. Ryan Nelson (1-0-0) Very entertaining fight here folks! Both fighters were trading blows during the rounds with Bubba Jones getting the better of the exchanges. Although Bubba was cut early Ryan couldn’t take advantage and keep the pressure on. At the end Bubba landed a nasty liver shot that really hurt Ryan Nelson, and then he followed up with a nasty overhand right to seal the deal. Ryan couldn’t recover from the onslaught of punches that followed and the ref had to stop the fight. Victor: Bubba Jones via TKO (Strikes), fighter improves to (4-0-0) Fourth Bout Chuck Liddell (0-0-0) vs. Oyama Masahiro (1-0-0) Both fighters made their debut fights for Shogun MMA. Muay Thai vs BJJ matchup here, and both fighters tried to exploit each other’s weakness. Liddell looked very comfortable on his feet using the clinch to full his advantage, but also was not afraid to take it to the ground. Masahiro had opportunities on the ground, but failed to capitalize on them leading to Liddell taking the decision unanimously. Victor: Chuck Liddell via Unanimous Decision, fighter improves to (1-0-0) Fifth Bout Steely Dan (1-0-0) vs. Kazuhiro Jung (0-0-0) Both fighters made their debut’s for Shogun MMA. Steely Dan was the more aggressive fighter in this one and it surely paid off. He swarmed Jung early and never let up, dominating the standup game with a nasty head kick that rocked Jung. He then went for a takedown that led to immediate full mount so he could finish Jung with strikes. Ended in 3minutes and 38 seconds of the first round. Victor: Steely Dan via Submission (Strikes), fighter improves to (2-0-0) Sixth Bout Victor Gillean (1-1-0) vs. Akira Sono (2-4-0) Victor makes his second appearance for Shogun MMA, while Akira made his debut. Akira put on a nice show for the fans in his first fight in Shogun with a display of well-rounded fighting. Gillean was trying to be the aggressor, but Sono’s great defense and counters kept him in the fron the whole fight. Gillean did have some great submission and transition defense on the ground, but it just wasn’t enough to secure a victory. Victor: Akiro Sono via Unanimous Decision, fighter improves to (3-4-0) Seventh Bout Nathan Rose (0-0-0) vs. William Gate (4-1-0) Both fighters made their debut’s for Shogun MMA in what was a pretty quick fight. William Gate went for the early takedown and imposed his will on Nathan. He put in a Kimura, and Nathan was only able to resist for so long until Gate finally sealed the deal 1 minute and 36 seconds into round 1. Victor: William Gate via Submission (Kimura), fighter improves to (4-1-0) Eighth Bout Dahl Haas (4-1-0) vs Tom Segura (2-0-0) Tom continues his success at Shogun MMA with his second win with the org. He is off to a fantastic start to his hopefully long success story. Early in the fight Dahl landed a nice combination cutting Tom, but I think that only made Tom upset as he immediately took the action to the canvas and made Haas pay. Dahl’s BJJ skills were just not on an equal playing field with Segura’s as this one ended 4 minutes and 41 seconds into round 1. Victor: Tom Segura via Submission (Kimura), fighter improves to (3-0-0) Co-Main Event Ki Ling (2-0-0) vs. Uebishe Lesnoe (4-0-0) Both fighters made their debut fights for Shogun MMA, and both made the most of it. Lesnoe came in with a big advantage in the standup game, and Ling was able to take it to the canvas early on in the fight. Lesnoe was able to take advantage of everywhere this fight went landing strikes, making great transitions, and keeping very active on the ground. Uebishe had a scary moment during round 2 with Ling having a seemingly tight triangle in, but Lesnoe was able to slam his way out of it and rock his opponent right after with some great ground and pound. Ling showed some big heart during this fight constantly fighting off being rocked, submission attempts and the overwhelming disadvantage of the standup game. It went the middle of the third round before a victor’s hand was raised. Victor: Uebishe Lesnoe via Submission (RNC), fighter improves to (5-0-0) Main Event (Title Fight) Danny Nejman (6-1-0) vs. Magnus Barfot (1-0-0) The fight that everyone was waiting for, two seemingly heavy-hitters taking to the ring in this action packed title fight! After some smack talk Magnus truly delivered on his words. Nejman although had the reach advantage, was ill-equipped to handle the clinch and wasn’t ready for the onslaught that came out of it. Barfot mixed his strikes well leaving Nejman laying on the canvas 1 minute and 45 seconds in the first round. Who will stop Barfot? Victor and new Heavy Weight Champ: Magnus Barfot via KO (Punch), fighter improves to (2-0-0) That wraps things up for Shogun MMA: The Fall. I hope everyone enjoyed the show, as we pulled in a 91.20 rating which is great news! More action and events are heading your way so stay tuned! Bryan Nickoson
  15. I agree with this as well. I am a new member to MMA Tycoon, and got lucky enough to get into Mentor's alliance. The people that I have talked to and am now associated with have helped in numerous ways. All newcomers should be able to join a group like this without the group as a whole being "punished" for it. If you are looking to grow the game, a helpful friendly alliance sure doesn't hurt. The more the merrier!

  17. Two special announcements to share with you! First and most importantly Cory Rua will join me as a Partner of Shogun MMA. Although still a young manager (like myself) his dedication, activeness, and overall enthusiasm to this game has allowed him to have great early success. He has opened up his own gym in Tokyo "The Slaughterhouse" and it is doing very well. Together, with all of you will work towards becoming the powerhouse organization in Tokyo. Secondly, as mentioned above The Slaughterhouse has become Shogun MMA's preferred gym for its fighters. If enough people are interested in joining the gym we can close it to the public and make it a private gym for Shogun fighters only. If you are interested in joining this gym send either Cory, or myself a message and we can get you in there Thanks for your time, Bryan
