I thought that fights reset the skill decrease ticker? I've got a 23 years old fighter who's had 3 skills decrease since he fought on november 8th - one wondeful (12) skill depop on Nov.12th - one sensationnal (14) skill depop on Nov 13th - One respectable skill (7) skill depop on Nov. 15th Thoughts? Could he have reached his max potential yet? Thanks Edit : his overall total skill is around 2.7k

My random thoughts from the events : - I follow every major MMA events since 2003, and it's always weird to realize that besides the 2 fighters in the main event, you don't know anybody. I mean, i'm pretty sure i saw most of those guys a couple of times, but i don't remember when and/or what they did... honestly, do you remember the co-main eventers' faces a few hours after this event? Hell, do you remember their names? It has come to a point where you should put together 3 or 4 UFC events to make a good one. The cancellation of Lineker vs Uncle Creepy was unfortunate, as i really was interested in that fight. - Seeing Shogun get KTFO in 30 seconds was sad. I was kinda upset about all the talk about the fact that he should retire before this fight... but now i agree. Not that he's not good anymore - most of the UFC LHW would still loose to him - But from what I hear / read, it seems like the dude is too lazy to train. - Did you notice that we're seeing more and more fouls these days? That's because the fighters and their coaches figured out that rules simply aren't enforced : you can cheat your ass off at least a couple of times before the ref is even gonna consider taking a point from you. So if you don't commit the same foul over and over again, and if you commit only one groin shit, one short-grab, one eye-poke, one fence grab, one upkick, you can get away with it night, and used carefully, it'll help you win a couple of rounds. Until the ref says the words "i'm really gonna take a point from you" or "this is a strong warning", this shit is free.

About the Timezone changed announcement : the title is the same as the previous one : "Sydney Tournament & Fun Stuff!" Not a big deal obviously

But at least we didn't have to pay for it :-) 112 is on everyone's mind obviously, but most of the fights were actually good... if you can get past the infamous Spider/Maia fight and the Penn/Edgar WTF decision. No matter what happens in the future, it can never be worst than UFC 33 : 90% of the fights were boring decisions, (including 3 of the most uneventful titile bouts ever) and the PPV broadcast ended right in the middle of the main event due to broadcast time running out.

I wasn't very aware of that tendency before the texieira fight, but it got on my nerves during those 5 rounds against Glover. IMO points should be deducted for sticking your fingers like that, eye poke or not.

Champ or not champ, a decent org owner should offer fights against opponents with more or less similar hype and skill level... I had a very Young 5-0 champ with average skills, and when all of a sudden he was offered a fight against a monster whith almost no hype, I declined.

Some divisions are already too empty in the game, if you add females (or flyweights, or whatever), it will only increase the lack of BWs and FWs...

So, I was wondering... Say I have a sparbot with wonderful (or better) punch technique, would a session with a coach with woeful (or worse^^) boxing training skill reset his "skill decrease clock"?

Ideally, he could be "shared" between TT and another org, and remain loyal to both :-) No need for a signing bonus, I just want fair fights, at 205 or 265, against fighters within the same range of hype and skills. I'm not looking to pad his record, I'm not here to crash cans nor do i want him to be put against monsters that are elite everywhere ;-)
