Possible new company types

Just a few ideas.

 

1) Magazines - they could provide all relevent details such as:

1a) Fight orgs events - both pre and post details.

1b) Company updates and offers - clothing & nutrition companies sales, gym offers and marketing, org additions and affiliations.

1c) Fighter interviews.

1d) Manager interviews.

1.1) This would also remove a lot of "toot" on the news and events page that i am pretty sick of sifting through.

 

2) Banks - Offering services to all:

2a) providing safeguards for cash to fighters and managers with a small interest on all investments.

2b) allowing companies to invest in stock markets (with obvious risk - similar of slightly less that the lottery) - see #3.

2c) could offer loans to managers and companies.

 

3) Stock exchange:

3a) Obviously would deal managers and companies monies on the market with "carrot & stick" - with no guarentees to profit or loss - however would take a fee for their services.

3b) Would provide money sink at times but would also mean at times that Tycoonland would be rich - making a variable economy.

 

4) Different possessions companies such as Car Showrooms - Estate Agents - Jewlery outlets (and the plane companies ore on their way.

4a) This would aallow for a rich list (see below) also for fighters aswell as managers. And would fall in line possibly with the Hall of Fame being spoken about.

 

5) Equipment Outlet:

Could sell all manner of equipment to gyms - this just changes what we have in game already but makes it more interactive - you could still have regular amounts paid to companies on a regular basis as gyms do now but would allow for gyms to shop around a bit - if they find it cheaper in another location cheaper they may have to wait to recieve it but is the risk relative?

 

6) Facilities Management / Events Management:

Again just changing something already in game to make it more interactive - the location of where people fight, I.e. Wembley Arena - example: I own Wembley, you want to hire it from me, you want X amount of lighting, X amount of seats, X kind of ring, I charge you Y amount, you accept or decline. I also have the opportunity to upgrade to a larger capacity, nicer seating and more or less staff which would decide how well my location provides for the event.

 

7) TV companies:

Another idea to make it more interactive that i have seen before - i ahve kept you long enough so i will make this a +1.

A) Rich List

B) +1 for Hall Of Fame

 

 

I know that sone of these are outside of the box but i have been away for 2 weeks and have had no internet access so my mind has been going crazy, i expect to have soem of them torn apart but feel that they may all add to the ga/me some what and mean that richer people leave gyms/orgs/ nutrition comapnies and try other things allowing newer people to get an easier foot in in all the companies. ( I am not included in that as i am very happy with my company).

 

Sorry in advaance to Mike as i know some of these may be extremely hard to impliment.

if i had to make a prediction on the next companies that i think will be implemented, casino's would be first and housing of some sort would be second. but thats just a guess tho........im just saying

No problem with making suggestions - it's always going to be full time either way, so if you come up with something good it'll get done. Doctors are the next company type that will get added though. After that I'm not sure.

maybe a little bit of insight........do you think injuries will be brought into play along with doctors? or is that still undecided or not even an option?

Firstly, wow i am genuinely amazed that this thread hasn't been hazed so thank you.

 

2nd - doctors will be cool and i am looking forward to that .

So far we have nutrition/clothing/orgs. All directly affect your fighter. But stock market/banks? THats a bit too businesey no and not really related to mma imo.

 

Love the magazines idea and the other ones make sense in my eyes. But banks/stockmarkets are a no for me

Cake Companies

 

Could be used for all managers wantign to create the Roy Nelsons, a subsiduary of the nutrition company that rather than having weight gain that was specifically good for just mass - the cake would just put weight on with a risk to conditioning and to health - to many cakes could mean a heart attack - See doctors

CW I will expand in due course, i was actually away on honeymoon while thinking about these ideas so some of them are half baked (see Cake companies) as i was a little poggard when thinking them up.

 

But i am on it now!!!

Magazine Company (Complete removal of all advertising on news and events page required)

 

Limitations

 

10/20/30 page mags - higher cost of production for higher amount of pages

# of staff - would need to be fairly large to enable full and consice story lines

 

 

Services

 

1) To provide in depth reports on 1 or more events per week / month to Orgs (at cost to the org)

2) Could provide fighter story lines, following some of the P4P top fighters in the game - holding interviews (Paying fighters for interviews)

3) Providing advertising spaces to all company types (at cost too company advertising)

4) Provide special interviews for those managers wishing to talk about certain events or senarios - their own fighters ect (if manager has asked for the slot - at managers cost)

5) Provide betting odds of any and all events with betting on (cost to the betting firm)

6) List or rankings in their home city - fighters/managers/orgs - anything they can get there hands on (inc. in cost of printing)

7) Stories and opinions hosted on the forums as articles

 

How they would survive (Financially)

 

1) Fee's from any companies usign their services (advertising - betting odds - interviews asked for - event pre and post analasys)

2) Subscription from managers purchasing said magazine

3) Small fee for buyers in different location - like clothing firms currently have

 

Costs For company

 

1) Production cost based on amount of pages

2) Staff wages (nothing new there)

3) Interviewing costs - to either fighters or managers

4)

 

Knock on effects to other companies and current pages in game

 

1) Delete News and Events Page

2) Make Org homepage news private - only for people with in that org to see

3) 3rd "sponsorship slot" - not actually for sponsorship - but to show that the fighter has had an article about them printed in X magazine - only showing if the fighters homepage URL is inputted in the title of the magazine.

4) Possibly allowing other companies to become vendors for the magazine - clothing and nutrition mainly i suppose as they already have the shop feature installed, (again costing the clothing company)

Benifits of a maagazine

 

1) Would enable some of the better writers to become "Editors" (owners essentially)

2) Would allow lesser known writers to showw their skills

3) Would get rid of the news and events page which is constantly spammed by companies advertising blah blah (I hate that ****ing page)

4) Would provide a money sink for managers and orgs

5) Would allow more peoplee to see whats going on in the forums - i know a lot of people play this game oly coming to the forum when they need to ask a nooob question and then never returning - noob questions could be a regular article for instance.

6) Would aalllow Orgs to keep stuff on there homepage - almost like a staff room, and give press releases when they were good and ready.

7) More Artistry work for those budding Van Goghs

 

 

I know that i may be going off some people main ideas for a mag - but i originally just posted to get people talking about it

 

I really like the company aspect of the gamee as i dont fight to good lol and i dont fight spam, hence the banks/stockmarkets idea but i'll geet to that later in life.

Love the magazine idea and actually all the idea, but the stock market & bank, those are institutions that'd just make the super rich get even richer and promotes the plutocracy that's going on around here further. And doctors should DEFINATELY affect injuries and injuries should affect training (cuts as well!). It's a simple fact that you just can't train as efficiently IRL when you're injured, if at all... Now they have virtually no effect, unless you wanna fight like once a week...
