My new pup

Well I just got home with my new baby boy, Malaika. He's 10 weeks old and a Red Heeler. I'm so excited, been waiting a LONG time for this day to finally come.

That is a really nice looking dog.

We just recently bought a Pure Bread Dalmatian, and I couldn't have asked for a better mannered dog. She spends most of her time watching TV with my daughter.

I used to date a crazy "escort" girl when I lived in Calgary. She had a Heeler. The best part of that relationship was that I got to take the dog with me when we broke up.

edit: ok so I didn't really "get" to take the dog so much as I "stole" the dog.

only had him a few hours, and he's killing me with his smarts. He knows his name now, comes, and teaching him to sit. Heelers are some of the smartest dogs on Earth

I ended up with mut that's half Heeler and half...looks like Heeler lol but it's not, it must have been something very close and he is smart as well. He'll chew the hell out of a $5000 sofa if you fall asleep when he's young but it doesnt take much to train them.

Hell of a dog DIDM...are you going to crate train? I highly recommend it before dismissing the idea as many people do. I can tell you anything you need to know bro. You already know I got a pack at my house!! I'll make Ceasar Milan (sp) look like an amateur.....it ain't bragging if it's true.

Holler at me via the 2 tin cans and a string we have that span Louisiana to Oregon.

been hitting it hard, he learned the stairs last night, there are 13 down to my basement/room. he goes up and down with no problems now. Took him frisbee golfing today, and he had NO interest in the disks, just herding us along. Made him get in and out of teh car, and now he has that down. He is smart as fuck, I'd bet my 10 week old heeler is smarter than 73% of Sherdog

my biggest thing is, keep the nuts, or cut em off. My brother is gonna get a female, and we are gonna breed em in a year or so, and each keep a puppy, and give our friends the rest, then cut or not cut? If I live in the woods by then, in the country at least, I may keep em, and breed him again. The problem is, they can be/are very protective. We were sitting by a stream letting him rest, and a dog came by, 100 or so feet away, and he started growling and barking. I don't need protection, I need a friend. Time will tell, I keep putting him on his back, and showing him I'm the alpha, so hopefully he will lose some of that. I just can't really get myself to the point of wanting to cut something's balls off, I just think about what that would be like, and almost cry

no way bro -- dont cut his balls -- just plain cruel -- lmao -- but on serious note, females yes get fixed but males it seems to change them -- i have breed and raised dogs for many many years -- not the same breed but i think it takes something out of the male dogs -- drive wise and so on

lived with a pit for years, and my bro's dog he lost in the divorce was a lab pit. both are girls though. Only time will tell, but if he gets mean, his balls are coming off

If you don't plan on breeding your dog, there is really no reason not to spay/neuter it. It won't even know they are gone and if you are just interested in a companion/pet, it is absolutely the way to go.

I had an American Beagle since he was a puppy, was with him the moment he learned to bark and scared the crap outta himself so bad when he first barked that he ran and hid behind my legs. He then progressed to barking at his ass whenever he farted.

Amazing dog, fast learner, friendly towards anything living. Well, there was his reflection in a mirror that he'd try to kill... but everyone and everything else he just wanted to hump and make friends with.

Then one day he managed to dig his way under the fence gate and got himself hit by a car. He was hit in the hind quarter. His left leg was driven up and through his hip, his 'boys' were mangled and the little trooper crawled all the way back to the house, back under the gate and scratched at the back door. What a roller coaster of emotions that was when I opened the door to see him bleeding and pretty F'ed up.

Took him to the vet and a couple thousand dollars later, I had a dog with a short left leg and no nuts.

lol the little bugger still tried to hump everything after he healed up, still barked at his farts and still loved everything and everyone, except for that damn dog in the mirror that wouldn't back down lol.

He lived a good 15 years, both with and without his 'boys'

Sorry, I'm just rambling now and forgot where I was going with this all. Drinking Corona and seeing the pics of your pup just brought back some good memories.

Great looking pup. I'm sure he'll bring you many fond memories and great moments.

The only reason your dog lost his balls to begin with was because of the unfortunate accident.

With that information and such a tragic (slightly disturbing) story, I still stand by what I said before

"do not take away a dog's mojo"

how would you feel if you woke up with no balls? You'd still want to fuck a girl you'd just have no sack......... I don't see anything wrong with that.... :OMG:
