INY 104 Brown vs Khan

Ladies and gentlemen, Immortals fans around the world, Im Richie Ciapelli of MMA USofA, and Im here with the Sensational One, Taco Bueno. Taco, hows it hanging man?

Taco Long, heavy and to the left, feeling good, enjoying my time training the boys in New York and Montreal.

Richie Any plans to return to the cage?

Taco Yeh, maybe in the New Year, the cards look pretty full now, only the New Years card has some spots, so I can wait, there are a few guys trying to get the shot at Tyler.

Richie Big news was Roman Kersikov dethroning Mac Jackson, and walking away with the title, that division looks in chaos now, Jackson is still there but who does he fight?

Taco Yeh its never happened before, the division looks fucked to me, hopefully Jeff and Steel and figure something out soon, if they can get 4 more guys they can go for a 16 man tourney.

Richie OK, there are some great fights to look forward to this month so lets run through the title picture. At 155 Erkki defends his title on Christmas day against our 170 champ Nichi Hong and December 28 we see the return of Julio Quintana taking on another fighter who has taken a break, Lik Alotadik.

Taco Yeh Quintana had some holes so he has been in camp, and Alotadik has been training in Sydney and looks like he got his brown belt. Good to see, his striking was great before, but we feared for the dude if he got taken down.

Richie Shane Wellman Jnr holds the record of the most number of fights in the INY at 25, but on December 25 Joe Saunders gets within one of that record when he takes on Polunu.

Taco Another tough fight for Joe, who I think will retire when he finishes out his contract, but Im sure he will want the record and Hall of Fame that goes with it.

Richie At 170 Johnny Fantastic has signed a contract and at 12-4 looks a good fighter and he faces another debutant in Xavier Styles on Christmas Day.

Taco Looks a good fight that, both of these guys are a couple of fights away from fighting for the title, with the winner likely to face the victor of the Aremis vs Renninger fight on December 28.

Richie This guy Lopez looks a handful, another debutant, the guy is very experienced at 28 and is 16-6, looks a tough one for Cruz?

Taco Sure does, Styles wanted no part of him and I hear Fantastic wanted Styles, so that left Rafa Santa-Cruz to step up and take on Lopez. Cruz is a warrior, it would be a great win and would get him a shot at Hong, who he beat 2 years ago. Either way, Hong is going to have a tough defence of the 170 crown in the New Year.

Richie At 185 Tyler looked awesome last weekend against Alves, and word has it Sykloni or Brandao could be getting the shot.

Taco Yeh, they fight this weekend. The Arthanier vs Meyers fight on December 28 is a big one for Ramus, if he can pull off the upset he wont be far off getting in the cage with Tyler. Meyers hasnt signed a contract extension which suggests he is going to leave and look for easier pickings in the minors.

Richie At 205 December 20 sees Ted Strongham defend his title against the dangerous Joey Dixon, a fight Jeff Ramirez has wanted all his life!

Taco You know they have met twice before and Ted is 2-0, but thats over 3 years ago and Dixon is in his prime and Ted is hanging on to his and he is coming off a confidence destroying KO loss in that superfight.

Richie Other good fights are Daniels facing Camacho, gonna be a KO there, and Speed, if he can get past Valentine on December 20, he will be well placed.

Taco Hayes doesnt have a fight scheduled but aside of the Camacho fight, the dude looks a real handful now, and I think he can be a factor in 2014.

Richie At 265, Oath has been away to Ascension after clearing out the division and taking a couple of Super fights. Do you see the big man returning?

Taco He has beaten everyone, so maybe its time to find a new champ and maybe Ken can return for a superfight with a new champion somewhere down the road?

The Peitexeira vs Frazier fight this weekend looks a great match up of strikers, and we will find out if Frazier has a chin for sure. But Brown vs Khan is the big one, with Irving stepping down to face a more experienced fighter in Khan who has smashed everyone apart from Oath. It looks a tough night for Brown! With Velasquez taking on Roy on the same night, its going to be interesting to see how the division looks come Sunday. Either way, I dont see any of those guys being ready for a guy like Ken Oath just yet.

Richie Ok Taco, let us turn our attention to this weekend and INY 104 Brown vs Khan, you seem to favour the older fighter, Khan?

Taco Hey, I said it is a super tough fight for Brown, as tough a fight as he has had in his career, because aside of Chikatilo and Clay he hasnt fought in the same class as Khan, who I think would beat both Chika and Clay. Irving might look to the takedown in this fight, we know he is versatile, and he will need to be. I see Khan being very confident and looking to blast him out and this might give Irving opportunity to counter with his own bombs, or wear Khan down with takedowns.

Richie So who wins Taco?

Taco Going with Khan.

Richie Frazier 16-4 12 Kos the Muay Thai giant taking on the one punch boxing prowess of Peitexeira 19-13 with 16Kos. Peitexeira KOd one of the Kalashnikovs in his last fight and briefly held the 265+ title after a shock KO win over Chikatilo. Frazier has 4 defeats but hasnt been beat by a striker so how you got this one?

Taco I think Peitexeira will back himself to land a bomb, his losses in recent years are to world class opposition, and he has beaten some decent guys in Vadim, Komodo and Chika. Frazier doesnt look to have faced a bomber like Peitexeira before, so he just needs to survive the first 2 minutes, if he does that, then he can win this one. I just dont think he will, and Peitexeira will get another KO win.

Richie Another huge clash at 265 is former champ Soham Roy 15-5 taking on Velasquez 13-2 13 Kos, in what should be a clash of styles. Taco, how do you see this one?

Taco Roy took down Frazier and dominated and I think his elite wrestling will be a factor if Soham is going to have a chance here against Velasquez, who carries dangerous KO power. Velasquez will look to overpower Soham early, and it comes down to whether Soham Roy can weather the early storm, get the takedown and start to grind it out. Against the elite strikers Sohams chin has failed him, he seems to get caught cold, and thats the danger here. Velasquez will have seen his friend Khan bully Soham and KO him quickly in their fight and be confident he can follow suit and finish this in round one. So its Velasquez 1st round KO.

Richie Larsson vs Takinawa, not often you can be sure a fight will go to ground, but Takinawa is a specialist wrestler who at 18-5 18KOs mauls guys with his ground and pound. But in Larsson he faces a guy who can damage guys with his ground game too, just ask Bison Bradley who he demolished not so long ago.

Taco Im backing Larsson, just a little too well rounded, he has decent boxing and he could KO Takinawa with his striking, but when this fight hits the canvas, there will be fire works! Im going with Takinawa to put a beat down on Larsson and then Larsson sinking in a sub in a real war!

Richie A huge fight at 185, with serious title ramifications, is the Sykloni vs Brandao clash. Since back to back submission losses to Tyler and yourself, Brandao is riding a 4 fight win streak, with his win over Vlad Kersikov last time in the cage, particularly impressive. He looks to have matured into a serious title contender. Sykloni 19-9 is 4-3 in the INY and has some good wins, Roaig, Arthanier, Blaze and Brown, so he is no slouch, but can he get it done when it matters as many thought he would have beaten Meyers and gone on to fight Tyler for the title?

Taco Brandao has always had awesome striking, the hole was his ground game, so it is a case of how good is Syklonis ground game and can he take Jose Brandao down? I dont think Sykloni has the calibre of ground game to cause Jose problems, so its a striking match, and anyone who out strikes Vlad Kersikov is an elite striker. I take Brandao to win by decision and go on to have a 2nd crack at Tyler Richards world title.

Richie Jurri vs Portier two sold middleweights looking to get noticed, Jurri 11-3 has bounced back with a win over Heikki, and Portier 10-6 is 2-2 in the INY but really needs a win over a guy like Jurri if he is to become a contender.

Taco Portier has to take it too Jurri, test his chin, rough him up, as the danger is he will get out pointed. If he cant hurt Jurri, Jurri wins and I take Jurri to walk away with a decision.

Richie OK Taco can we run through the rest of the card with some pick ems. Matice vs Edilhson?

Taco Ground war, Matice is a TGWC World Champion, but Edu is a rounded guy and has decent level BJJ and I think Matice will make a mistake and Edu makes him pay by submission.

Richie Van Kirkland Vs Finyard, bridge too far for Finyard?

Taco Definitely a step up in class! VK HAS to win, where does he go if he loses? Roger Kint wont accept defeat to a younger contender like Finyard. Finyard has to pin VK to the floor, but I dont see it happening, and VK will work at distance, use that notorious work rate and get the win. Big opportunity for Finyard though, would be a huge win if he could pull off the upset.

Richie White 6-6 vs Oliva 15-10 14Kos.

Taco Two strikers, but Oliva has that awesome KO power and White has 4 KO losses. Oliva is fragile, so White winning is possible but I have to back Oliva at this level.

Richie King 12-5 10 KOs facing Troeman 11-5 10 KOs, someone is getting KTFO!

Taco Troeman has fought at a higher level than King and he once beat Shawn Geissen, whereas King hasnt progressed beyond fighting journeymen and has been pounded by Abdullah of all people. Its Troemen for me, 2nd round KO.

Richie OK INY Fans, that is all we have time for. Its good bye from Taco and I, enjoy the weekend of fight, this is the Immortals goodnight!

16 December 2013

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15w22.jpg

Jack Torrance has his new home.

Torrance (17-17 MMA), who recently changed management and coaching staff has signed with one of the top organisations in the world, Immortals NY. The promotion recently announced Torrance's signing.

One of the most talented free agents in MMA, it was believed that Torrance would either sign with Immortals NY (21st) or Ontario Fighting Championship (38th). It was finally revealed today in the press release that he would join Immortals New York in a lucrative 5 fight deal.

Torrance, a renowned boxer in the Canadian fighting scene, most recently fought in December, when he lost to Jet Li by split decision at AD173. He fulfilled his last fight of his contract in his second-stint in Aggressive Damage, where he had a disappointing run of 0-4, losing three by decision and one by strikes. Previous to AD, he fought four times with HMFL and in his first stint, twenty-one times with AD.

Torrance's first Immortals fight has not yet been announced, however Torrance, in a recent interviewed expressed interest in having a fight with either Von Hammer or Artur Grygiel. Torrence is currently recovering from a rib injury, and is expected to make his debut in early January.

Immortals Press Release:

Michele Castanbleu Head of PR "Despite widespread talk in the fight community today regarding a super fight between Tyler Richards and Ted Strongham at 205lbs over 5 rounds and not for the title, we can neither confirm nor deny these rumours.

As for the arrest of 'New' Immortals CEO Jeffrey Ramirez in the early hours of the morning, for an alleged breach of the peace, Mr Ramirez vehemently denies the presence of Brazilian transvestites. While Mr Ramirez admits being 'disappointed' over the Dixon vs Strongham title fight, he has stated he will take legal action against anyone spreading malicious gossip, or insinuating that he flies in exotic lady boys and hookers for his own personal use.".

I can't wait for the 5th of January. It's going to be sick, I tell ya. I've been having a great training camp and I'm just edging the few parts of my game that need polishing and I'm gonna go all out. The crowd will fuckin' know my name by the time I'm done with the pole. Promise all of my fans that I will knock that fool out. If I were to predict, head kick, but we'll see. I'm ready to fight anywhere, ground, standing, clinch, off my back wherever. I just know that my hand's getting raised that night, and there's no sonofabitch denying me that.

"The Alabama Alpha Male" Bobby Lee Daniels: Oh, Teddy, Teddy, Teddy, Teddy... I heard you Chickened out of a super-fight with Tyler. A champ being scared of a smaller man? That's pathetic man, you really are a pathetic piece of fuck Stronghham. But that's a good thing, now I get knock your old ass out of the arena. Though I didn't think I yet earned the shot again after going 2-1 since the last shot, I know I deserve it. A man this awesome can never be out of the title picture. And hey, everyone know's who the better man is here. No matter how many times you get lucky decisions with the judges, or idiotic calls by the referee, like last time.

INY 110 Sato vs Richards

Richie "Ladies and gentlemen, fight fans from around the world, this MMA UsofA, and this is the Immortals. Joining me tonight we have the Sensational One, with 197 adult films to his name, 300,000 million biography book sales, and for the last 3 years the best dressed man on the planet award winner, yes fight fans its Taco Buuuuueno!"

Taco "Thanks Richie, great to be back in New York."

Richie "You have been doing well in St Pete's, two great wins."

Taco "Yeh, going well, stepped in at short notice and got the wins, but they mean nothing without a belt or beating Tyler."

Richie "True, and its Tyler Richards who is headlining tonights card, this time facing Ascension Superstar, Katsuro Sato in a superfight."

Taco " Sato is a veteran at 28-14 but the 33 year old is from a top camp and has a great ground game with 14 wins by submission. He has also won his last 2 fights and has real title aspirations in Ascension, so Tyler has to bring his A Game."

Richie "Sato's career is built around his takedowns and ground control, using that ground and pound to soften his opponent up before going for the submission. But Tyler is in his element on the ground Taco, so how do you see this?"

Taco "Tyler is 24-6, and sure he has an amazing ground game, 9 sub wins proves that, but in recent fights where he has been matched on the ground, or at least there is real danger there, Tyler has shown his boxing is top class. I can tell you first hand , he hits damn hard, and he has a great chin. I think Sato is in a for a tough night, because Sato can only win this fight on the ground but Tyler, well he can knock guys out. We got to remember he has 13 wins by KO, he has only been the distance twice."

Richie "So you are going with Tyler by KO?"

Taco "I think so, Tyler is coming into his prime."

Richie "OK let us take a look at the Casino, and yes, the bucks are going on Tyler. Ok, next up its the co-main, and Ted Strongham is defending his world title against Bobby Lee Daniels, the former champ. Its the 3rd time these two have met for the title Taco, and Ted is 2-0 up, he has cleaned out the division, with Camacho and Dixon having fallen to old Ted."

Taco "I think Bobby Lee Daniels, as much as it pains me to say it, because he is so butt ugly, has a great chance here. Look, Ted isn't going to get any better, but Daniels is. The first fight went to decision and Ted got a close decision, a decision many fans thought was wrong, then he seemed to catch Daniels cold in the rematch, so assuming Lee Daniels gets through the first round, then we could be looking at an all out war, just like the first fight."

Richie "Ted has one punch fight changing power though Taco, for me I think even if Lee Daniels does get through the first two rounds, Ted will wear him down, like he did Dixon."

Taco "True, all I'm saying is I think it will be a great fight, a war, two top fight camps, Janne vs Hunter, Finnfighters vs Evolution who are on form at the moment. This one could be epic."

Richie "OK, the Casino has money on both these guys, but it is Ted Strongham who is attracting most interest. Next its two the of the most talented 205lb fighters In the world in Joey Dixon, who pushed Strongham so hard last time in the cage facing the 12-2 Miguel Camacho, who has only tasted defeat to Strongham and Lee Daniels, but both times by KO."

Taco "Richie, don't let the those 2 KO losses fool you, Camacho has a great chin, and crippling KO power. This guy has stopped Youngblood, Hayes, Speed and Winnfield, and holds a decision win over Joey from a year ago at INY 94. That fight was very competitive, and the key here for Dixon will be securing early round takedowns, so he can avoid eating Camacho's power shot. He also has to be wary of the clinch game of Camacho, its brutal. I like Joey Dixon, he would never measure up to be in adult films, but he is tough and has a great ground game. I just favour the Mattos fighter, Camacho will do enough standing to get the decision."

Richie "OK you are going with Camacho, let's check the Casino and we have money in on both these guys, and the jury is hung here, even money on both. OK, Dobson vs Helmer at 265 features two guys on 2 fight win streaks, but that is where the similarities end. Dobson 13-3 12 KOs is a striker with dynamite power, and he is slowly climbing the ranks whereas Helmer is 15-17 but he has won 5 of his last 6, and it is BJJ and overall ground game that has impressed."

Taco "This is a tough fight for Ben Dobson, there is no questioning his KO power but he was taken down at will by Bradley and you have to wonder, with Helmer's ground game, how long Dobson can survive if he gets taken down. That said Helmer has 13 losses by KO, and if Ben catches him this one is over! Hell, its such a dangerous fight, but facing Helmer is a risk for anyone with that guys ground game, but I think Dobson will land early and crush him."

Richie "It seems the Casino agrees with you Taco, all the money is in on Ben Dobson. Brandao vs Tyson , looks a classic match up of strikers here Taco?"

Taco "Brandao 14-7 is one of the very best strikers in the world, this guy schooled Vlad Kersikov the dull as hell points scoring machine. Yes this guy out pointed Kersikov! Then next fight he faces a guy in Sykloni who has the full all round game and he gets taken down and dominated. Your right though Richie, Tyson is a striker like Brandao, but I just don't think he is as good a striker as Brandao. In fact, I would put my own money on Brandao walking away with a win here because he isn't going to get taken down, and Jose Brandao doesn't lose to strikers."

Richie "The Casino is tied here though Taco, money in on both guys, that surprise you Taco?"

Taco "Sure does, its Brandao, nuff said."

Richie "Ok fight fans, its time for a commercial break, if we get enough positive feedback we will be back for part 2 on Sunday."

"The Alabama Alpha Male" Bobby Lee Daniels: Whoooa! Five rounds of complete and utter domination! Man, ol' Teddy-boy really should retire, he don't seem to handle the pressure of fighting at the top anymore. The guy was so afraid of facing me he seemed to lose his appetite and lost a bunch of weight. God sakes, you can't fight awesome machines of violence like me, if your nerves can't take it anymore. He's old, he's slow, he's lost his power, that's about it. But the old fucker is tough though. I landed with bombs all day and that stubborn motherfucker just kept going, like a zombie. Guy's got heart, but when that's all you got... Nah, old though and stubborn is a dangerous compination for your brain man. Leave now while you still can walk.

"It's from our respect to the public and the organization that we are gathered here today at this press conference. Because of recent events it is my duty to saidly informe the public of the retirement of Tedd "Mayhem" Strongham. After a career of 28 fight, 23 wins & 5 losses and with the closing of Immortals, it is Tedd's wishes to retire from the sport. He had 14 title fights in his entire career and 5 of those with Immortals. Tedd hoped he would go out on his shield with the final battle and belt in his hand and retire still champion but that was not the case. Teddy and I spoke long about his options, there were still a few fights left in him but he had come to the conclusion that he was getting too old for the sport and even if he won a few more fights, they would not be enough to secure his dreams of being #1 p4p fighter on the planet. I can name no other that started his career at 25 years of age that has done better or more for the sport than Tedd Strongham. It's my honour to give the final words to Tedd Strongham, The very best I've ever had the honour of managing.... Tedd Strongham!"

"Thank you all for comming today. Some of you already know as you've probably seen the tabloid pictures of me and my wife moving into our home in London. It's my wife's home town and we decided it be best to move over seas for a little while. I'd like to thank all the organizations I've worked with over the years, especially Immortals. I was lucky enough to be able to hold the title for so many fights, 205 is a tricky division. I take my hats of to bobby lee, I got him in our last fight pretty hard and I wasn't going any easier this time around but he did his home work and he ate some shots, I can tell you that much! Wow. All good things come to an end and I was blessed with a career not many fighters can claim. Especially not when they are late bloomers like me. I hope I entertained but it's time to move on. I will still help out my team and support them in their future fights but today is the day that I officially retire. Thank you all and have a good night!"

Taco Bueno, the Ascension Middleweight Megastar climbs off an exhausted stunning brunette, the wife of Dominance Supremo Sami Assasi. It amazes Taco how these amazing looking broads will marry such ugly dudes for the money and lifestyle. But to hell with it, Sami pays good dollar for slamming his missus whenever he is in town. Taco strides past the toad like Corporation Alliance maestro and takes his cell phone from his jeans.

Taco "Hey man that is great news, I get my job back then, awesome. Just gonna finish Sami's girl then I will call Richie."

The squat, sweaty Assasi asks Taco what the great news is.

Taco replies "The Immortals - its back, Steel has just landed in New York, there is a fucking god after all."

Immortals New York - A New Hope

Ladies, gentlemen, fight fans this is it, the moment Tycoon has been waiting for ....this is the Immortals.

I'm Richie Ciapelli of MMA UsofA and I'm joined by former Immortals 150k ID superstar and current Ascension 185lb stand out, the one and only Mr Sensational, Taco Bueno!

Taco "Delighted to be here Richie, looking forward to seeing what the new breed has to offer."

Richie "Good to have you back Taco, lets get straight to business."

155lbs Hawk vs Johnson

Hawk is a boxer making his pro -debut, so you got to think this kid has to keep it standing and use his amateur boxing pedigree against an opponent who lost his debut and didnt show us much.

Taco "He showed shit to be fair Richie, his Muay Thai is OK, and his wrestling, but he just looked for takedowns and got his ass subbed. He has to show more offense here to set up the takedowns, and he has to show he means business if he can get the takedown. For me, this is for Hawk to lose, he can counter Johnson and secure victory by KO inside the 1st round. I'm hoping Johnson shows more than we saw in his debut though, hopefully it was nerves, or maybe his management have been taking advice from Rory Daly!

Richie "OK, so we are going with Hawk by KO."

265+lbs Rasmussen vs Ferguson

Richie "I like this match up, these guys are evenly matched. Rasmussen 1-0 showed good hands in his debut and was strong in the clinch, and i think he will try for more of the same here against Ferguson."

Taco "I agree Richie, Rasmussen is the puncher here and I feel Ferguson should use low kicks to break Rasmussen down, stay out of the clinch and shoot for the odd takedown. The danger is he shoots too much for the takedown and gets caught in the clinch and gets brutalised."

Richie "So we like Rasmussen here Taco?"

Taco "Yep, he gets the KO, I like a fighter that can lay a beating on a guy in the clinch and I think this is what will happen here."

155lbs Chong vs Willing

Richie "Chong 1-0 was strong in the clinch in his debut but his takedown attempts were confusing? Willing is 2-0 and has showed a good hands and solid Ground and Pound, so Taco, how do you see this?"

Taco "Chong will want to fight in the clinch, that is clear, and Willing needs to keep iton the outside and if the fight goes to the ground and he gets top position I see him putting Chong away. I think its down to how the Willing camp approach this fight, and if they avoid the clinch. I think Chong will counter into the clinch, keep Willing against the cage and beat the living crap out of him."

170lbs Schmidt vs Marshall

Richie "Only one place this fight is going fight fans and that is to the floor as we have two BJJ purple belts. Schmidt 1-0 won his debut by submission, but for Marshall, this is his debut."

Taco "Yeh Richie, it will be wild with submissions while it lasts, and it may come down to who has the best ground defence. I cant pick a winner here, only how it will end. Though its that obvious even one of the fucking retards from the Janne camp could call this one!"

185lbs Marcus vs George

Richie "Marcus is 2-1 and is a kick boxer, but he looks over trained, and think he will gas after a round, so its a fight George can get a W in for sure."

Taco "You think? George looks like he will gas too, he is 1-0 and despite solid Muay Thai he looked for takedowns and won via ground and pound in his debut. Both these guys are not in 3 rounds shape so I will go with Marcus to use his striking to chop George down with those kicks and finish him by KO."

205lbs Papers vs Fabian

Richie "A rematch of a QFC draw here. Fabian was dropped and rocked on numerous occasions in their first meeting but he landed 4 takedowns to be awarded a somewhat debatable draw. Sure he showed a hell of a lot of heart in that fight, but is he ready to dig deep again against a man that dropped him at will?"

Taco "Papers has real power, and a great chin, but he has to stuff the takedowns here and this time put Fabian away. Fabian will need to have improved his defence, because at some stage his chin will fail him. This could be fight of the night, and I will go with Papers."

265+lbs Jaggerjacks vs Light

Richie "Jaggerjacks 2-1 is likely to come straight out and look for the takedown and smash Light by ground and pound. Light is 0-1 and lost by submission in his debut in a fight where he took the fight to the ground."

Taco "Yeh, Light will be dumber than Scotty Bennett if he takes Jaggerjacks down, because if Jagger gets top position he could be in real trouble. Light needs to use his boxing and counter Jaggerjacks.

Look Richie, I see only one winner here and that's Jaggerjacks!

170lbs Kong vs Baby

Richie "Kong wont make weight, so this will be a no contest."

Taco "Kong is a disgrace, lowest form of life, lower than Bragi, and that's saying something. There you go a new saying for pond life, the dude is a Bragi!"

185lbs Rotolo vs Southland

Richie "The main event here with Rotolo making his debut against the 4-0 and QFC tourney winner Sammy Southland, Taco?"

Taco "This will be a great fight, Rotolo has decent wrestling and solid BJJ and he will not mind it when Southland slams him on his back and starts to unload with this vaunted ground and pound. I think a lot depends on Rotolo and his chin and heart because he will undoubtedly get opportunities to look for a submission off his back. Southland will try and blast him but he will need to show decent grappling defence and an element of caution. Its a 50/50 fight for me, just because of the styles of the two fighters."

Immortals New York 3 - Rise Above

Micro Arena, New York July 5th.

185lb Southland vs Marcus

Grappling sensation Southland 5-0 makes his 2nd appearance in the INY and should prove too strong for boxer Marcus 3-1. Look for Southland to get the takedown early and finish Marcus who looks overtrained.

170lb Bragg vs Marshall

Wrestler Bragg makes his debut against Marshall 1-1 who has shown himself to be a wild ground and pound fighter. Marshall will want top position and to test Bragg early.

Bragg will need a good chin and heart and then we will see what he offers offensively?

135lb Marra vs Melendez

Two debutants, both BJJ Purple belts, so expect this to hit the mat really early in the round. Marra has overtrained and Melendez is in the Cozad, so these oxygen thiefs are unlikely to be challenge for serious honours. Might be the fight where you go for a piss, bang your missus in the toilet, take a shit, or eat a pie.

265+ Divine vs Hardaway

Two fighters looking for their first win, and I like Divine here. He is only 18, but has a great chin and is well trained and from an emerging camp. Hardaway looks terrible and one punch could kill him, if he doesn't have cardiac arrest just walking to the cage.

155lb Brooks vs Gable

Both are 1-0, and both like to shoot for takedowns. Brooks has shown KO power in his quick debut win, and Gable showed he can land a take down, but then attempts to dry hump his opponent with the savagery of the tooth fairy. No idea who wins this, the danger is a 15 mins of gay love without the penetration or even punches.

Time for another beer when this pair walk out!

205lb Sanders vs Darkside

Now here he have a fight! Thank fuck! Sanders, is a young boxer with excellent amateur pedigree and he is facing Muay Thai amateur star Darkside. Both fighters are making their pro MMA debuts, but I am going with Darkside, he is from an excellent camp (Clark Kent) and I expect him to smash those body kicks into Sanders and then take his head clean off. This is one to watch for sure.

155lb Chong vs Johnson

Chong 1-1 can win this if he uses his Muay Thai and clinch game against Johnson 0-2 who should be at 135 really and has shown a preference for takedowns and getting beaten by Sub and KO. I will back Chong here, but if you can find any wet paint in the arena, try watching it dry or use the internet and watch a Bragi Ragnarsson interview, all equally as mind numbing.

155lb Basilone vs Dragon

Both fighter lost their debuts, but Basilone showed heart and chin and comes from a vastly experienced camp (Davy Jones). Dragon did nothing when he lost his debut and its hard for anyone to see him surviving on the ground against Basilone who will look to kick start his career with a big W for our friend Davy. If Dragon wins this, I will announce to the world that Johnny Sorrow is Irish. Think I'm safe from this blasphemy.

155lb Buslowksi vs Mills

Buslowski 0-1, is still training, lifting weights and running, when he should be getting ready to fight, and Mills isn't much better. These two alleged 'boxers' will throw wild combinations until one of them falls over and my tip is Mills wins by KO cardio implosion, because Buslowski has the stamina of Sami Assasi trying to ride his missus, breaks into a quick sweat and collapses.

185lb Cash vs Duncan

This is actually an interesting fight. Cash is a boxer, only 18 but looks well trained and is making his debut. Duncan is 25 and is 1-0 and likes the take downs and sub attempts, however he is another over trained bum, so it comes down to whether Cash can keep it standing or survive a very short storm from Duncan. I hope he can because, like I said, he looks a fighter and win or lose has a future. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1404469388Immortals2.jpg
