btw fucking biggerfoot silva is like 130 in a 150+ org ... wtf is up with that?

The policy of this org was that we offered ALL fighters from the VFC the opportunity to come over to this Org. Kimmi McRiddle had brought Silvia into the VFC so we sent out a contract offer for him. That said we did not allow DKJ to bring his even lower ID fighter to this gym because we do not want the gym filled with lower ID fighters. It makes it difficult to make fair fights for the younger guys. Not that I am singling out DKJ there are a few other fighters in here that are just too low ID wise to be here. We were hoping to fill our rosters quickly and the best way to do that at first was to not say "no not that guy he is to low ID" Rest assured we will not be bringing any new people into this org that are lower than 150k ID.

It is also possible that we could seek to work out deals with other orgs and the low ID fighters to put those guys in orgs where they belong. Like the APG for instance. Cameron Speed is there rather than here becaue it was just a better place for him. This will be sorted out eventually. Fear not my friend. And thank you for being active on the forums. We really like that here. It makes this place feel like more than just a place for two dudes to beat the hell out of each other.

Archie "Anvil" Fallon & "Titan" Yuri Lebedev & Kenrick "The Beast" Nikil

Archie enters the newly opened Immortals gym and pauses for a moment, looking at the newly painted walls and boxes of equipment still to be opened, reminiscing... He walks aimlessly down corridoors, poking his head into the different training and excercise rooms, as he familiarises himself with the layout of his new gym. He finally finds who he is looking for in a small room with a few sofas and comfortable chairs, all facing a large brand new plasma screen... Yuri is watching recordings of Shaggy Dope's fights intently, a notepad resting on the arm of his chair...

Archie: Hey big man! Whats up?

Yuri: (starting in suprise... ) Friend Archie! Yuri watch Mr Dopey fight! Mr Bogey say Yuri watch, Yuri learn! Mr Dopey punch good!

Archie: Good advice my friend. Say, do you want a coffee, then I'll come watch with you before I train. You are the main event, so you want to put on a show!

Yuri: nodding... Yes! Yuri black coffee please Archie. Friend Kenrick come soon, say watch Mr Dopey with Yuri. See Kenrick want coffee?

While the above transpires, Kenrick Nikil enters the building and begins looking around for Yuri and the media room. He carries with him a note pad and a small box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

He enters the room where Yuri and Archie are already viewing the fight videos of Shaggy Dope.

Kenrick Nikil: Hey, guys! Sorry I'm late. Traffic is murder.

Yuri: Friend Kenrick! Thank came! Archie get Kenrick coffee there. Watch Mr Dopey fights! See strong left hand, look!

Yuri points to the screen as Shaggy KO's Eastman...

Yuri: Like twist arms too! Yuri watch that!

Kenrick Nikil: You bring the coffee, Archie? I brought donuts. Just a little treat for us as we are all gonna be in training he for a while I thought we could have our last little taste of these things for the next few weeks, huh?

Yuri: Oooh doughnuts! Yuri favourite!

pauses for a moment...

Yuri: Oh! Happy New Year friend Kenrick!

Kenrick: You too, Yuri. Now see, Monk Eastman isn't really that good. He never won a single fight as a pro. I hear he was was better as an amature, but never mind that. You need to keep the fight standing as I see it. You got the better Muay Tai. Keep it on the feet and try not to eat too many of those...

gestures towards the screen as the replay shows the Eastman KO punch again.

Kenrick: and I think you got this. Wouldn't you agree, Archie? Yuri... take your time, bro... the donuts aren't going anywhere.

Archie: (Chuckling...) Tell Kenrick what Jon said about the fight mate.

Yuri: (Blushing a little...) Um...Mr Bogey said Yuri 'Never say Never'. Yuri not understand. Yuri say 'My Bogey say Never two! Why not say? (smiles...) Mr Bogey shout Yuri! Tell Yuri no think easy fight! Work hard! Punch hard! Yuri listen Mr Bogey!

Kenrick: Well... Uh...

Kenrick looks to Archie for a moment...

Kenrick: He isn't wrong.

Yuri: Mr Bogey funny sometime! Come friend Kenrick, lets spar! Then Yuri ready fight Mr Dopey!

Kenrick follows Yuri out to the freshly refurbished sparing cage slapping Archie on the shoulrders as he leaves.

Kenrick: Take care, Archie. Will see you in a bit.

Archie: (Nods to Kenrick) Have fun guys, and Yuri...give em hell tonight! I'm off to see how Cunha is getting on. Having to fight Cruz again has irritated him a bit and bought back some raw memories. Will see if I can cool him down a touch

Archie leaves the friends to their sparring

INY - 2 Davis vs. Tinsdell Event Preview

Hello folks. It’s me, Ricky Warner, here reporting for MMAAddict.com and Immortals New York. We have the second event for this newest of fight orgs in New York and the first of their title fights. This one for the Lightweight Division. I have decided to change the format a little bit for this installment. I will be listing the fights in the order they will appear at the event finishing with the Main Event. At any rate let’s get started shall we?

J.P. Damphousse (2-1) vs. Mike Shields (0-3)

The first fight of the evening will be a Welterweight challenge between J.P. Damphousse and Mike Shields. J.P Damphousse reportedly took this fight on short notice after Sean Rellik failed to sign the contract in time. So, thanks for Damphousse for stepping up and taking the initiative. Conversely Mike Shields immediately signed the contract against first, Rellik and then Damphousse, so this guy is also what I like to see in a fighter… Enthusiasm! Damphousse is a brown belt in BJJ who racked up two submission victories in the QFC before being stopped by one himself vs. Jesus Tabs in VFC Midweek Madness III who is only a purple belt. He hasn’t fought since that loss and I am sure he is looking to finish Shields on this card. Shields comes into this fight on a 0-3 record but looking at the level of competition he has faced it is not so easy to say that he isn’t up to the challenge. He faced Don King Jr, fighter, Cung Lee in his debut, followed by Another DKJ fighter, Lee Gerald. His most recent loss comes at the hands of the very tough, Rafael Santa Cruz, from the Peel Steel camp. He was able to stay in the fight all the way to the end against both of DKJs fighter only being stopped by Santa Cruz in the second round after a series of strikes and kicks. So the question should not be can Mike Shields win this fight, but rather does Damphousse have what it takes to finish Shields? Shields could easily get the better of the standup with his better standup, but I think it far more likely that he will finish this fight on the ground.

Prediction: Mike Shields GnP or Unanimous Decision.

Delroy Holmes (0-0) vs. Niko Bellic (0-0)

This Middleweight bout is between to fighters making their professional MMA debuts on this card. This fight has about zero chance of going to the ground as both these guys are said to be stand and bang style fighters. Holmes is less than amazing in boxing, but he is a remarkable Muay Tai practitioner. Conversely, Bellic is a wonderful boxer but is useless at Muay Tai. Looking at the manager’s records and reputation doesn’t help much either as both men have similar records. This fight depends entirely upon what range it takes place at. If it gets into a clinch, Holmes wins easily. If it stays at range then it is likely to end in a victory for Bellic. Although a kick from Holmes could still spell doom, I think that Bellic might be a bit to evasive for Holmes at range. I love this match up, but I have no real way to make a prediction as to which way it will go. I guess we will all know at the end of the fight…

Prediction: ???

Lord Viceroy (0-0) vs. Aaron Franklin (0-0)

This is another battle between debutants. This one is in the Heavyweight Division and sees the newest prospect of journeyman manager Meyer Lansky set to face Aaron Franklin, managed by Toxic Hazard. Both of these guys are reputed to be solid stand up fighters and both are also said to be at least competent wrestlers. These guys also look extremely closely matched. Meyer Lansky is a far more experienced manager than Hazard, who has never managed a professional fight, nor have any of his fighters ever fought professionally. Lansky recently released the jobber and scarily incompetent Monk Eastman and rumor is that Dutch Shultz will soon follow. This will make his record look a lot less terrible. In fact, it should look salvageable in relatively short order. Since the fighters are so close in skill levels I would look next to manager skill and experience. Lansky definitely has the edge in experience having managed forty-five in total. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that Viceroy wins this fight pretty handily.

Prediction: Lord Viceroy unanimous decision.

Daniel McCraig (1-0) vs. Kid Coke (0-2)

We go back down to the Welterweights for this next bout. McCraig fought in VFC Rookie Rage IV against O.J. Simpson and scored a submission victory in the second round. Kid Coke has been Soundly beaten in both his outings in the VFC. The difference being the level of competition here. Coke definitely faced the tougher opponents in the form of Erik Bennet from the Troy Melton stable and Edmundo Edhilson of Peel Steel’s camp. Otherwise this fight looks similar to the Holmes/Bellic fight. McCraig sorts remarkable Muay Tai, while Coke has Superb boxing skills. Neither fighter is particularly good at wrestling, but McCraig does have a purple belt in BJJ. I don’t expect this fight to go to the ground, but if it does I would say McCraig to win it. As it is neither fighter is likely to look for the takedown and so it comes down to range the fight takes place again. At range I give the advantage to Coke. In a clinch… definitely McCraig.

Prediction: Kid Coke Unanimous Decision.

Joe Lack (3-4) vs. Saadi Al Fayyad (0-1)

In this Light Heavyweight bout Shane Wellman fighter, Joe Lack faces off against Jon Boogi’s Saadi al Fayyad. Joe Lack had the misfortune to be paired up against Ricky Dale Johnson three times and lost every single one of those fights. Every fighter has a styel or sometimes a particular fighter that they just cannot defeat. This was that fighter for Lack. Every time he faced someone who wasn’t Ricky Dale Johnson he was victorious until his most recent fight against Tibierio Celentano. Celentano is one of the big guns of the Light Heavyweight division and his striking power is undeniable. Lack is not without power himself with all three of his wins coming by way of knock out. Joe Lack as previously mentioned has knockout power and is the better boxer. He supplements his strong boxing skills with a remarkable level of wrestling ability. Saadi al Fayyad fought Matt Suggs in VFC Rookie Rage IV and was cut to ribbons eventually having the fight stopped in the latter part of the second round. al Fayyad is a wonderful muay tai specialist but is generally weak in all other areas. Therein lies the key to victory for this fight. While no one can question the coaching abilities of manager, Jon Boogi, there are serious holes in al Fayyad’s game at present. Joe Lack should be able to fend off and use his boxing skills to set up takedowns and secure the win on the ground. Baring the strikers chance, this fight is Joe Lack’s to lose.

Prediction: Joe Lack KO

Shane Wellman Junior (3-2) vs. Kasem Muang (1-0)

This one is a Lightweight bout featuring Shane Wellman and Jon Boogi fighters facing each other again. This time the manager’s own son facing the silent and mysterious Kasem Muang. Shane Wellman Jr. has spent, up until this point, his entire career in the VFC racking up three solid wins against quality opponents. Having defeated Vladimir van Kirkland, no mean feat, and Marco Reyes twice. Reyes retired in shame following the second loss but there is no shame in losing to a BJJ specialist as skilled as Wellman Jr. He then had to face Jon Davis, yep the same Jon Davis who is fighting to the world title on this very card, and suffering his first ever loss. More bad luck followed when he faced Jimmy “all night” Young who was a top contender for the title before he left and signed with the Dawg Pound. So despite having two back to back losses he was in the thick of the title run for some time and a win her tonight could put him right back into that place. Wellman Jr. has respectable stand up skills but where he really excels is on the ground with his BJJ purple belt. It is actually a bit hard to believe that this kid doesn’t have his brown belt yet. Just goes to show you that some schools hand out black belts like candy while others make you bleed for it. Kasem Muang has only fought once inside the cage and scored TKO via cuts against Ricardo Alonso in the second round. The tight lipped Muang will not discuss strategy or much of anything else for that matter, but he doesn’t need to. Like many in Boogi’s camp, Muang possesses wonderful muay tai, but muang also has a solid wrestling base. That should make things very difficult for Wellman Jr. who has struggled with wrestlers in his two losses. The question is does Wellman Jr. have the skills to finish this fight or will Muang get the best of him?

Prediction: Wellman Jr. submission.

Archie Fallon (2-0) vs. Andy Ridge (1-0)

In this fight we have Archie Fallon, yet another of Jon Boogi’s fighters facing off against Andy Ridge of the Don King Jr. camp. This fight will be the first of several that will see clear cut contenders emerge in the Middleweight division. It is all but official that Fallon will face Paul Orndorf following this fight and Ridge, well that depends on what happens with this fight I imagine. Fallon has dispatched, in short order, two opponents already Neither making it past the first minute and a half in the cage with him. One of them was his friend and Peel Steel fighter Hellman Province who won against Paul Orndorf just last month. If Fallon hits his friends that hard, what is he gonna do to somebody who pissed him off, Paul? Fallon is a well rounded fighter with excellent stand up skills and a solid wrestling base. His BJJ isn’t the best but, when you have filled your glove with cement do you care about submissions? Andy Ridge is a good all around boxer, but he is sorely lacking in the ground game. Ridge easily won his debut against Anderson Silva and he will definitely look to put on another stand up clinic in this fight. However, like many of DKJs fighters, while they certainly have the skills they tend not to finish fights. Without the ability to neutralize Fallon’s incredible knockout power I don’t see this one going to the judges score cards. Unless Ridge has a secret weapon or was sandbagging in that last fight, then he is in deep water in this one and he is not wearing the boots for it.

Prediction: Archie Fallon 1st round KO

Kenrick Nikil (3-2) vs. Rahziki Hendayko (3-4)

Two gigantic men battle it out in this heavyweight bout between Kenrick Nikil and Rahziki Hendayko. Nikil made a huge splash (as any 300 pound object would) when he first came to the VFC. Kenrick just seems to be a popularity magnet. Despite losing horribly to Mike Commodore and losing a controversial split decision against Justin Dillinger he remains very highly placed in the opinion polls and the rankings. His win over Dutch Shultz was lack luster at best and yet still he climbs the ranks. I guess sometimes nice guys do finish first. All that aside, this guy is ginormous and he is very good at knocking people over and laying on top of them. Finishing them outside of the QFC seems to be posing him some difficulty. After his devastating loss to Mike Commodore Nikil’s stand up skills improved dramatically, but he is still very outclassed by Hendayko. Where Kenrick really shines however is in his wrestling ability. Hendayko is not absent skill, but pales in comparison to Kenrick. The main difference I see in this fight then with earlier fights for Nikil is that he does not have an enormous size and weight difference in this fight. Hendayko has fought extremely tough competition during his stay in the VFC including Heavyweight contender Armando Silvia and the dangerous Bosko Brute. It is interesting to note that Hendayko finished Tim miller in about a third of the time Nikil did in the QFC. Experience, skill set, and raw KO power… sounds like too much for Nikil, especially when you have nullified his normal advantage of sheer size. I think he will land takedonws but won’t be able to capitalize on them and that will allow Hendayko to fire off from a distance. Nikil better hope he has learned some new tricks for this one.

Prediction: Rahziki Hendayko 1st or 2nd round KO.

Harques Wolfwood (7-2) vs. David Paterson (6-2) - Co-main Event

Another Heavyweight bout and this one determines who will be the number one contender to the heavyweight title. Harques Wolfwood has demonstrated tremendous power in the past and KO’d or forced to submit to strikes avery one he has beaten. He has also shown an Achilles’ Heel in the fact that both his losses have come by way of submission. His dicision win over Mike Commodore suggests that he might have learned from his mistakes in the past and going to aggressively against guys that like to twist off body parts and take them home with them not that Commodore was one such person, but Wolfwood did seem to show more technique than power in the last fight. While Wolfwood seems, on paper at least, to be the better wrestler he is devoid of any substantial BJJ skills. David Paterson in contrast has virtually no standup ability but is one of only a very few BJJ brown belts in the entire Immortals roster. This fight is very exciting, not only for it’s title ramifications, but for it stylistic math up. Wolfwood will want to keep it standing and fire off at range, and Paterson will want it on the ground so he can rip off an arm and mount it on the wall. The way this reporter sees it, Wolfwood is a bit to one dimensional still and will not be able to cope with being taken into submission land by Paterson. Which will almost certainly happne at some point. Don’t forget that Team Wright has already produced one champion. Unless Wolfwood has learned to finish ground fighters before they can get it to the ground… well.. Looks like Team Wright will have another title to start seriously thinking about adding to the collection.

Prediction: David Paterson submission

Jon Davis (3-1) vs. Anthony Tinsdell (3-1) Lightweight World Title Fight The Main Event

The first ever Immortals New York title fight (the Welterweight Champion from the VFC was crowned the Immortals Champion as he had already just earned the title in the VFC) was is on in the Lightweight Division ad Jon Davis of the Don King Jr. camp is set to face off against Anthony Tinsdell of the Brunno Falcone camp. This is the first time these two camps have ever met and it is definitely going to take place on the ground. I don’t think anyone could see it any other way. Jon Davis was the finalist in the VFC Lightweight Tournament losing in the final to Corey Hawkins, who then promptly left for the Dawg Pound. He beat Dustin Olivera and Shane Welman Jr. in the tournament to earn the spot. Stylistically Davis is the inferiour striker although Tinsdell’s striking is so poor as to not really be a factor either. Davis is proficient in wrestling which is vastly superior to Tinsdell’s feeble skills. Jon Davis is only a purple belt in BJJ while Tinsdell is one of the only brown belts in the organization. Tinsdell’s only loss came at the hands of the powerful wrestler Curtis Dodson who exploited the obvious hole in Tinsdell’s game and fought to an decisive victory. Davis fought Hawkins, who is virtually identical to Dodson in every way and Davis had equal difficulty in dealing with him. None of that really clears up the muddy water here, though.. Tinsdell’s Submissions have been blisteringly fast and executed with a high degree of technical acumen. His last fight vs. Eddy Jones ended via submission in under a minute. Even against a vastly superior wrestler in the form of Curtis Dodson Tinsdell was close on numerous submission attempts and he could potentially have ended that fight at any moment. The same was not true for Davis in the Hawkins fight as Hawkins was actually the one making the majority of the sub attempts. Cardio isn’t likely to play a factor in this as both men are in extremely good shape on that front… basically what it will come down to is which one of these submission monsters is going to pull off the sub first? I believe that Tinsdell’s just too good in the submission department and he will eventually make one of them stick.

Prediction: Anthony Tinsdell 2nd or 3rd round Submission.

OK, folks, that’s it for this installment, see you all at the show. I also plan on attending the after party. I hope they are as decadent as the VFC’s were reported to have been. I’m Ricky Warner signing off.

A bouncing camera shot appears on MMA Plus - Late Edition, the cameraman obviously running to catch up with a figure that just left the Arena...his head down and his strides quick. Brett 'Hatchett' Harris, the shows 'man on the street', can be seen jogging towards the figure...running just in front of the camera...

Brett: "Mr Cunha...Tari...Wait a sec bud! Lemme ask ya a few questions huh?"

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/17/17w28.jpg

Cunha: Pausing, and turning around with an angry expression on his face...a face with a large purple welt across one cheek and up to a swollen eye... "What? Joo wanna talk wi' me?"

Brett: "Yes bud. Nice fight back there! How do you feel about having to fight...and beating...again...Santa Cruz?"

Cunha: his eyes smouldering... "We fight, i win. No more Cruz fights...joo here!" ignoring Brett and approaching the camera.. "No...more...Cruz...fights...joo here Jon? Joo here Steel? Gimme Bonham, gimme Rua, gimme Gerald...gimme Lee, if he grown some cajones!"

Brett: having lost the initiative somewhat... "O-kay...so, what next for you Mr Cunha? You are getting quite the reputation for..."

Cunha: cutting straight across Brett... "Pah, joo keep joor mouth shut puton! Wanna talk, see Boogi..." spits on the floor dismissively, turns and departs...

INY - 1 “A New Hope” Event Review

Well, it’s over and done and what a show it was. I’m Ricky Warner reporting to you from the post fight press conference following Immortals New York’s inaugural event, INY - 1 “A New Hope”. It was an action packed card and I’m here to give you the breakdown of the fights.

The opening preliminary bout was a welterweight fight between Lee Gerarld and Zeke Glisky. Lee Gerarld was able to get the fight into the clinch and keep it there for most of the fight working his muay tai and dirty boxing to open a cut early in the fight on Glisky. Fortunately, Glisky’s cut man was able to keep it closed up and it was not a factor for the rest of the fight. Gerarld was able to successfully dictate where the fight took place and the pace of the fight thoughout, with a exceptions in the form of takedowns by Glisky. Unfortunately for Glisky he was never able to capitalize on the takedowns and Gerarld was able to force referee stand ups or control the pace on the ground. The bout went to Lee Gerarld (30:27, 30:27, 29:28) Unanimous Decision.

The next fight on the card was a Heavyweight fight between Peel Steel’s Mustang Velasquez and Brunno Falcone’s giant Russian AlekSander Yaroslev. The pace was brisk for this brief fight, with Yaroslev attempting a takedown in between head kicks from Velasquez. The first one cut Yaroslev but the second one sent the big man crashing to the canvas and the fight was over in just 15 seconds. The KO of the night went to Mustang Velasquez.

Up next was a Light-Heavyweight contest between David Unitas and Sergio Morales of the Peel Steel camp. And there was a firefight! These to warriors went toe to toe for three rounds and what a war! Unitas took the fight to the mat in the first round and made repeated attempts at submissions but was never quite able to secure it. The second round saw Morales show what he is made of and stuffed the takedowns, chopped at the legs and launched a barrage of strikes throughout the round even managing to cut Unitas above and to the left of his eye. The third round was just as exciting as the first with Unitas scoring two takedowns but unable to finish Morales on the ground despite multiple submission attempts. And while Unitas undoubtedly won the first and third round, the second round was scored a 10-8 round for Morales, therefore causing the fight to end in a draw. These guys fought so hard for that win that they were awarded the Fight of the Night! I just know there will be a Unitas vs. Morales II and I cannot wait to see that one.

In the welterweight division we had another match up between Brunno Falcone and Peel Steel with Kurt Vogel facing Gabriel Rua. It was thought that Vogel’s takedown defense would have served him better in this fight, but it seems that Rua hadn’t got the memo. He easily avoided any damage in the standup from Vogel and took him to the ground. Once there Vogel seemed powerless to stop Rua. Vogel somehow manages to survive into the second round but was promptly deposited on his backside again and Rua was able to isolate an arm sn lock it in. The fight ended with an Amrbar submission just over one minute into the second round.

In this Middleweight division bout between the last of the Brunno Falcone/Peel Steel match ups on this card, Paul Orndorf took on Hellman Province. Despite both men looking to be in the best shape of their careers, Orndorf was completely unable to land any shots to Province before being taken to the ground. Despite a valiant effort Orndorf was simply unable to get the fight under control and get it back to where he had a chance. He was caught in a nasty Kimura and force to tap or spend the rest of his career being called Lefty. Winner, Hellman Province, submission Kimura. I guess he learned his lesson well from the Fallon fight.

Tari Cunha vs. Rafael Santa Cruz II at 170 was next on the card and it went much as was expected. Cunha was able to enforce his will get the fight to the ground and dominate from that position, while he was unable to finish Santa Cruz, he ground his way to a unanimous decision victory. It seems that Cunha is going to continue his rise in the welterweight division and who knows what the future holds for this man as he advances to 3-0. Santa Cruz who actually looks really good against fighters not named Cunha is still not to be counted out in this division. I expect to see a very angry Rafa working his way up again in this division.

George Brown vs. Barry Honnam meet next in this welterweight battle and let me tell you. Honnam lived up to expectations. He put on a striking clinic in there absolutely dominating George Brown who looked like he was gassed before the first minute of this fight was over. Fortunately for Brown he didn’t need to have enough cardio to make it three rounds. Barry Honnam relentlessly punched and kicked his way to a late round knockdown. He opted not to go to the ground with Brown and quickly finished the fight with a series of strikes ending in a big punch right on the button and Brown was done. Honnam’s win puts him at the numberone spot in the welterweight division. I would guess that the next few months will see a title fight being lined up once some of the other contenders have solidified their places.

The Light-Heavyweight division did not have any clear cut leaders until tonight it seems. As Tiberio Celentano faced PunchMyface. Celentano hails from the Team Wright which is seemingly one of the leading management teams in the Immortals Organization. He has one champion already, and at least two other front runners in contention for titles in other weight classes. Despite MyFace attempting to take charge in this fight early by rushing into the clinch, he seemed unable or unwilling to keep the fight there. He was able to take the fight to the ground where it seemed he had the advantage. Apparently he was wrong. Celentano demonstrated that he is more than just a punching machine as he almost immediately tried for first a Kimura and then an Armbar. He was able to lock up the Armbar and finish the fight in a way even his management team was likely a little surprised by. Celentano is now the number one Light-Heavyweight with a 4-2 record and has one 4 of his last 5 fights.

Another Light-Heavyweight matchup sees Hoplo Brute face off against Jordan Silver in the co-main event of the evening. Both men came into this fight undefeated with Jordan having one more fight under his belt then Brute at 3-0. Hoplo Brute proceeded to show why the Brute brothers are so feared in both the VFC and in the Immortals New York. Brute first knocked down and then KO’d Silver in just 54 seconds, in what would have been KO of the night in any event that didn’t also include a 15 second KO. Can the Brute boys be stopped? We will find out soon enough.

The Main Event of the evening was a Heavyweight bout between Jon Boogi’s Kazakh giant, the 7’4” tall, 285lb “Titan” Yuri Lebedev facing 6’10” tall, 270lb Shaggy Dope of the Don King Jr. camp. Dope is not used to facing fighters that are taller then him, but Yuri dwarfs everyone in professional MMA today. And Lebedev has absolutely destroyed everyone who has stood against him in his young career. He faced a far more experienced fighter from a top ranked gym in Dope today and he rose to the challenge Cutting Dope early and continuing to work at that cut for the next 2 minutes of the fight. He had Dope seriously hurt before the referee called for the doctor to look at the cut and the fights was stopped via cut at 2:03 of the first round. It was a devastating stoppage of one of the top contenders in the division and moves Lebedev one step closer to seeing his dreams of a title shot become a reality.

Well, that’s all for tonight, I look forward to seeing all of you real soon for the INY - 2 Davis vs. Tinsdell Lightweight title fight. I’m off to the after party.

Ricky Warner: OK, Welcome to the next installment of my interview series for MMAAddict.com with me, your host Ricky Warner. With me today is Omnus IV, manager of the Brute Brothers and he himself; all fighters in the new fight organization Immortals New York.

The camera pans out to show Ricky Warner seated at a desk and next to him in a plush chair Onnus IV, wearing an off white tunic with a wide leather belt, and sandals.

Omnus IV: Thank you for having me.

Ricky Warner: You and Bull Brute are both coming off of wins in the QFC and Hoplo Brute just destroyed Jordan Silver in under a minute in INY - 1 "A New Hope" What's next for the Brute Brothers and your camp in general?

Omnus IV: It is not a surprise. My squad is expected by me to destroy all opponents. I expect brutality. I expect nothing less than murder. The pankration that they use was meant to kill. We have greatly toned it down for these competitions. When Hoplo Brute destroyed his opponent he received the same treatment as when we all destroy our opponents. It was expected... so we drink a little and laugh a bit. When one of them loses, they are punished severely. It is not acceptable.

Ricky Warner: OK... The next scheduled bout is between you and Happy Gunderson. This guy is experienced, but his record does not exactly scream 'top contender'. What are your thoughts concerning this fight? I mean, surely there are better guys for you to be facing in the 205 pound division, right? I don't think anyone doubts for a second what will happen to Gunderson when you step into the cage with him.

Omnus IV: Happy Gunderson? This fight is an insult to me! Have the medics prepared to work overtime. I guarantee I will knock him over the cage into the crowd. He will wake up thinking he was just another fan and start cheering for me, then when he realizes what happened, all of the "happy" will forever leave his life. I accepted the fight however, because I will hang back and allow Hoplo to shine in this division. If he does not win his upcoming title fight, then I well step up and win it instead. When he does win it, I will probably drop to 185 and terrorize that division. No one can stand up to my power right now, imagine those little 185'ers running in fear, all scattering when I arrive.

Ricky Warner: You have two other big fights comming up for your camp. The fight you mentioned with Hoplo Brute fighting for the Light-Heavyweight title against Tiberio Celentano, and Bull Brute facing the gigantic "Titan" Lebedev, who seems to be made out of razor blades and barbed wire. What are your thoughts on those fights? And How much do you think it will hurt your conditioning to drop down to the 185 division?

Omnus IV: My conditioning has never been a factor. I can wrap my hands with a leather strap and punch trees for three hours straight. We don't have fancy equipment like some other camps, so we punch trees. I will do fine at 185. As for the rest of the team...

Omnus IV: Hoplo will be the first 205 champion. He is so sure of it that he has requested that the rules be changed, and that it be a fight to the death. Can you make it a fight to the death? There is absolutely no where that Celentano can win this fight.

Bull Brute has gotten into fights with actual razor blades and barbed wire and came out the winner. He is a big man, but he can't quite handle his drinking. We call him Bull because we all live in a small town in Indiana, and went cow tipping while drunk once. Not fully understanding the rules, Bull punched an actual bull and knocked it out cold. Not feeling satisfied, he mounted it and continued raining down punches. The rest of us were too busy laughing to pull him off. We do not condone animal cruelty. To answer your question, he is not scared of a mans height, as they are all the same size on their backs.

Bosko has been more determined than ever to fix his "mistake." Before his match with Derric Styles, he had spent the entire night giving in to his greatest weakness, Asian girls. After the weigh ins, he went back to his room with these two beautiful Asian girls, and come fight time, he was completely exhausted. Thats why he didn't fight in his normal aggresive style. We think that Mr. Styles' management team may have known about said weakness, and paid for and then sent these two girls to corrupt Bosko that night. The upcoming fight will allow him to avenge one of our teams losses, and get him closer to a rematch. We don't believe that Vemola would resort to such dirty tactics, so the fight should be a good one.

Ricky Warner: (Amused look on his face) Well, this isn't ancient Greece, so a fight to the death would be fucking illegal in the extreme! As for Bosko Brute's "weakness" concerning asian girls.... Uh... don't we ALL have that weakness? I know I sure do. Getting back on topic, it does certainly look like Celentano is completely outclassed here. What fights would you like to see happen for your fighters? Who would make for the most exciting fights for the fans and the most challenging for you and your fighters?

Omnus IV: No fights to the death... that is disappointing. Bosko would like to fight the winner of Styles and Silvia next. Bull wants the winner of Wolfwood and Paterson, unless the winner is next in line for a title shot. If the winners of those two fight are the next for the title, then Bosko and Bull would still like to fight the losers, because those men will still be top contenders. Hoplo wonders if there is anyone that can challenge for his title when he wins it. Who is worthy of a shot? Maybe someone will call him out. As for me, after I destroy Happy and win KO of the night, I will consider my move to 185. I'd like my first fight there to be against Michael Melton Sr. I'd like to fight one of the best right away to prove that I deserve a title shot. After that... well, just line 'em up.

Ricky Warner: Yeah, I believe the management of Immortals New York has stated that the first title defense will be against the winner of the Wolfwood vs Paterson fight. OK I think that about does it. Thanks for being on the show, Omnus IV, it was.... interesting. Good luck to you.

Omnus IV: I'd like to thank our sponsor, LA Elite Clothing Co, the only place that can make a proper subligaculum for my team to train in!

Ricky Warner: That wraps up another exciting interview. I'm Ricky Warner, and we are out of here!

The camera pans out as Warner and Omnus IV talk, unheard while the the show's closing music plays. The show's closing credits roll and the view fades to black.

Only in America boys and girls. Only in the greatest land on earth can we ever have such an amazing card and brawl for it all main event. Our camp has flown in the likes of Sakuraba, Igor Vovchanchyn, and last but not least arguably the best fighter in the early UFC Bas Rutten. We can only hope this leads to a world title for our fighter.

Bold prediction, we hit top 5 org in the city in three months time.

I'd like that, but I am far more conservative in my estimates. I think within 6 we could hit that mark... within the next few months we will definitely be top ten. I think 5 is just a bit too ambitious.

So here is my challenge to you guys.... prove me wrong... I would never be happier to be wrong than on this.

Anthony Tinsdell

The following is an excerpt from the pre-fight press conference for the INY - 2 Davis vs. Tinsdell event

Ricky Warner: Hey, Anthony, the first title fight for Immortals New York is almost upon us, do you feel ready to capture the title? How did your training camp go this time out?

Anthony Tinsdell: Well, I have to admit, I was a bit surprised when Mr. Steel told me that I would be fighting for the title. I thought there would be a tournament or something, but he said there was no need for that as Davis and I have already established ourselves as the top contenders. Anyway, I'm a bit nervous of course, but My training went really well, and still is. I am gonna try and squeeze a few more training sessions in before the fight, we'll see how that goes. But yeah, I moved over to the Legion of Spartans gym and man has it been a great improvement for me. I have never been in better shape for a fight in my life. Davis is no slouch and he is working his butt off for this too, so It should be a great match.

Delroy Humes - reporter for the Phillidelphia Globe: Mr. Tinsdell, how confident do you feel about defeating Davis? Your camp has a less than impressive win record right now and Don King Jr. is a highly ranked manager. Do you really think you can pull off the win against such an experienced camp?

Anthony Tinsdell: Mr. Tinsdell? My dad ain't here is he?

The crowd laughs

Anthony Tinsdell (cont'd): Seriously though, Davis is good, I am not saying this is going to be easy, but I have the skills, the training, the mindset... all of it. I am determined. We have recruited the likes of Kenrick and Aleksander to help me with my wrestling, Archie Fallon has worked with me on some of my stand up skills... and will be more in the future I hope I have a lot of work to do in that department... And Jon Boogi even offered advice and suggstions on how I should go about securing the win in this fight. I am very confident that I can pull out the victory and become the first Immortals New York Lightweight Champion.

There is some clapping and cheering from the crowd

Reporter for the New York Times: Do you think that a few months of training wrestling techniques is going to be enough for you to be able to counter the significant wrestling advantage of Jon Davis?

Anthony Tinsdell: Counter? Yes. Neutralize? No. I never claimed that I would rule the ground, but I am not without grappling ability of my own. I am quite good at Brazillian Jujitsu and I was able to prevent Curtis Dodson from manhandling me on the ground back when I faced him. No offense to Jon Davis, but Dodson was a better wrestler than he is. I am confident that my newly acquired wrestling abilities will be enough to allow me to keep Davis from being dominant on the ground and that will buy me time to do what needs done.

Reporter for local Channel 46: Mr... err Anthony Tinsdell, How do you see this fight ending?

Anthony Tinsdell: With a submission victory for me. I don't know what type or what round, although I think that first or second round might be a bit ambitious (Anthony nods to Ricky Warner) but I am sure that this bout will not last 5 rounds one way or the other. I am gonna say... first half of the fight... ?
