Paolo Mendez is a paper champ.

You're protecting your 23 y/o from an 18 y/o? Yes, Amy D is a beast.

No 0-0 fight deserves a title shot reguardless of your stats or even a number 1 contender guy. You have to work your way up like everyone else. Should just be easier for you with the hardcore training before hand. You don't get a free pass because you decided to not engage your guy in combat right off the bat

I dont claim to be a girl. I named my manager after my girlfriend.. I needed some way to justify to her how much time I was spending on here ^^ ... most of the guys on here already know that. And how am I a paper champ? Only one of my fighters holds a belt right now and he's taking on all styles of fighters from purple belts to superb boxers. The reason why I've called Paolo Mendez a paper champ is because he's a grappler who's never faced a fighter wtih the ability to keep the fight standing, let alone a fighter with more than a competent level of wrestling. Joey Zizzmen is a bad match up for him and he's never had to deal with that. If you're gonna be top 3 p4p... I think you should have to persevere through some tough matchups.

As for taking on YB Sol... I knew that this would come up, and it's a legit question. You're right, I did give Zizzmen weight loss supplements so he could make 205, and I actually did it so he could take on YB Sol. I actually think that Zizzmen can beat Sol, buy I realized that although knocking off the top fighter in the game would be huge for my guys, it could suck for my org. It comes down to me not having enough faith in the ranking system right now. For Zizzmen and the CFC, it makes more sense to call out Syncity's champ... if he takes that belt, his next fight will likely be Sol.

As for you fightking, this thread is about an 8-1 contender calling out an 8-0 champ... not about an 0-0 prospect calling out a top contender. Your unwillingness to take a couple quick fights before challenging a top contender means one of two things... you're either insecure about your ability to strategize and set tactics or you're afraid of my ability to do so.

If you're so confident, then why not take the offer?

It's probably like Griffin said: Don't take fights against nobodies because you never know. I find it funny that you always try to show off with your unproven fighters. I'm pretty sure that one of them has good secondary skills.

i call out http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=479 Ads "Heto Na" Mamen -- you have been called out -- lmao

OMFG! :D Anyways, the manager has a record of 0-15-0 so he has been inactive since May 29. But that's just amazing! 11 losses! I'm all for keeping losers around to round them out but I would've canned that guy after the first 5 losses. Is there a posibility that a fighter might be mentally disabled, cause I think that guy is. :D

If Franky's willing to sign Zizzman to a one-fight deal, the CFC is willing to cooperate and make this fight happen. Hell, I'll even cut him from his existing deal right now and allow it to happen in SynCity. No compensation needed to CFC. I just don't want to be the one accused of preventing a big cross-promotional fight to happen.

Zizzman is one fight away from a shot at YB Sol at the moment anyhow, with the CFC's signing of Max Marak recently. A win over Paolo Mendez (who I don't think is a paper champ) will give Zizzman a shot at Sol. A loss puts him closer to having to fight some no-name 0-0 fighter. ;)

I didn't click on the other guy's fighter but I read the thread and it says he's 0-0. I'll make you a deal too. The CFC doesn't sign 0-0 fighters. You need three wins right now to get a CFC contract unless it's a HW or LW. You get three quick fight wins and I'll sign your guy. If he's in a different city, CFC will even cover your moving expenses.

Can I call you out on your 'call out' thread? Let's take your overrated fighter and put him against ID# 11291. We both have money, so it shouldn't be a problem, right?

wow! thats a bad ass dude! better cross your fingers that his chin is decent and he doesn't cut or gets injured easily.

The thing is there isn't much for me beating this guy....I still want Sol myself :D (although i don't think it will happen as we are both champs so if there is no co promotion thing put into the game it won't work)

BTW if he leaves your org don't you lose some hype? or is it just if they are a champion and leave

As long as it isn't a champ, no org gets hit with a hype decrease. That's why I'm willing to let Zizzman go fight this guy to prove he's ready for YB Sol.

Paolo has no risk in this. He doesn't have to relocate his fighter for the contest. He doesn't have to leave his org. He just stays at home as always and takes on a Top 20 fighter in his weight class.

As for the other 0-0 guy? Do I really think he has what it takes? I don't know. But he's talking a lot, so I want to see what he's got.

CFC Announces Huge LHW Signing

Canadian Fighting Championship Owner Matt Mac confirmed rumours today that #9 ranked Light Heavyweight in the world Max Marak had signed with the organization.

The jiu jitsu specialist sports an 8-0 record and the Boondock LHW championship. With all eight wins coming by submission “Metal” is truly one of the most dangerous people on the ground in mixed martial arts today.

The 24-year old will be YB Sol’s next opponent if the current Light Heavyweight king pin is able to get past his current opponent, another grappler, Travis Wood (5-0).

But that’s not all that’s happening in the CFC’s LHW division.

Amy D, manager of surefire contender Joey Zizzman (8-1) has challenged SynCity champion Paulo Mendez (8-0) to a fight – and the CFC has committed to releasing Zizzman to allow the fight to happen on Mendez’s home turf in Vegas with no compensation expected in return.

“I just think it’s the right thing to do,” said Matt Mac. “If you’re going to have a super fight, it only makes sense that the org with the higher-ranked fighter have the opportunity to host the spectacle. I’m not going to be the guy who people look at and say ‘that guy wouldn’t let the fights fans wanted to see happen.’ That’s not what the CFC is or ever will be. The ball is out of my court now. I’ll make this happen with no benefit to myself if the folks in Vegas want to play ball.”

Mac has also stated that the potential Zizzman/Mendez fight will be the next in line to face the incomparable YB Sol (10-0) – assuming the top-ranked fighter gets past his next two tests.

“This is the shot both of these fighters are looking for. Joey needs one more win to keep active while YB sorts out his next two opponents. I respectfully believe Mendez needs to face someone with the ability to keep the fight standing. It’s a perfect fit. If you are a 205 lb fighter, you’re not testing yourself if you’re not trying to get a fight with YB Sol.”

Best of luck to Max Marak! I wish the best for him and look forward to watching him dethrone the Sol.

All good except this bit :)

I will not forfeit my belt and i'm sure Sol won't either

Mike needs to make co-promotions possible!

Make them five round non-title belts if you're afraid of losing your strap to Zizzman. I don't know if Amy D wants to take a non-title fight, but I would think the logical choice would be to just make them 5 round non titles.

Tycoon wont be able to put in the cross promotional fights for a while, so we're gonna have to find our own way of doing things.

What did Werdum have to gain from facing Dos Santos? Werdum could prove that despite being a grappler, he could handle facing a dangerous striker. What did kimbo have to gain from facing Seth Petruzelli? That he was a real fighter and worth the hype.

Being one dimensional is ok if you can control where the fight takes place... being hyped as a top p4p fighter is ok if you deserve the ranking. This fight might boost you a couple spots in the rankings and would earn you a shot with YB Sol... but what it really does is it legitimizes your fighter.

Come on!!! They're bending over backwards to make this fight happen!!!

At this point... if you don't take it... their might be a rumor started that you're ducking the fight.
