Try smudging the forehead and cheeks (a little) to get the "tycoon" effect on the face. Also change the lips if possible. Then it will look more avatar-y. But good luck dude. This isn't a fantasy game with wizards and cartoon superheros so those tend to get rejected. 2. Making stuff too realistic. The worst thing you can do is take a real MMA fighter then take bits off an avatar that look exactly like the real guy's face... basically you're not making an avatar, you're just copying the real life one, which makes it look too real. The one that topo did is fine. The basic question to ask in terms of realism - if I squint, could it be real?
