GSP took rounds 3 and 5 and possibly round 2. The scoring system isn't "whole fight"...no matter how much Hendricks pounded Gsp in rounds 1 and 4, that doesn't mean he wins the whole fight. Hendricks should have clearly won 3 rounds or finished the fight if he really wanted the belt. Winning 2 and "maybe" a third will never cut it for a title fight, same as Jones/Gus. A jab and a "big rig bomb" are both worth 1 point, they're both a significant strike. Neither fight should have been as "surprising" to people as it was. UFC. Is not "whole fight" scoring, so judging based on how beat up someone looks is idiocy. If you take all aspects of MMA scoring (UFC's 10 point system) than you can probably make a legitimate case for GSP. I thought he won rounds 1 & 5. I'm not sure the fight metric statistics though, on who landing more total strikes or whatever, and despite the scar tissue Rafi from The League still did a lot more damage. I'm so glad you pointed out about Rafi...my wife and I have said that from the first time we saw Hendricks fight, he looks and fights exactly like I would imagine Rafi does.
