Zachary "Zap Zap" White (236944)

There is no other way I like to fight Di-eggo, I am not scared homie, make sure you don't have a nightmare, I know how you're plagued by them. Your next nightmare will be you getting hit with the zap zap and then you'll realise it isn't a dream and you're actually knocked out.

*Final answer of the post-fight press conference for Barbarian Tournament 155lbs event*

Abraham Kurse: "I don't care about those things. If they were smart, they would've given me submission of the night awards every time that I fought. Shady is preventing me from fighting the top guys to become the first champion. They keep sending me fights to avoid getting a top contender fight for me because they know that it doesn't matter. I can face a thousand guys before I fight for the belt or I can do it next, but I'll finish all of them. Quickly. Quicker than you think. Yeah, you got the message. I'm calling you out, Pedro Fernandes! I don't know what my coach Dovik saw on you to be your mentor and I'm sure he made you a way better manager than you could ever be, though your potential is very limited. I'm calling you out and that wanna be submission fighter called Aderbal Maia. In fact, I'm calling the HW champion so I can submit him in under 20 seconds and make him look silly. I don't need you to like to, I just need you to handle me that belt after every fight that I win."

Pedro Fernandes: Well, you already have a fight booked, and the tournament is underway. But if you be able to win over Machida, we can make a fight against a top contender to check if you're really ready for a title fight. You got some great subs in here, but if you think Maia will take easy on you because of my friendship with Dovik, you're very wrong.

Aderbal Maia: "Abraham who? Is this guy undefeated? No? Oh, what a shame. I love to give these punks the taste of a first defeat. He has balls to call me, but must be a lunatic if is thinking about sub me, before he start training jiu-jitsu i was already making professional fighters tap. You're no challenge for me, boy"

One tournament’s opening round is in the books and it is time to start our next one. The Light Heavyweight Tournament is upon us and it is truly exciting. This entire event only has one fight under the two hundred and five pound weight class so if you like the big boys it’s time to get your tickets. MANGO nutrition is of course our event partner so let me take this opportunity to say please pick up any of your supplement needs from MANGO.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Chryst Halo (2-0) {0-0} versus Anderson "Pe_Pei" Peixoto (0-1) {0-0}

Both of these guys are set to make their debut in Barbarian Fight Club at Light Heavyweight and on the Light Heavyweight tournament night. This has got to be exciting for both of these young men. Halo has spent a total of one minute and sixteen seconds in the cage in his combined two fights. He walked out the winner leaving both of his opponents knocked out. He does not have to land many strikes to end his opponents and he will look to keep that streak alive. Peixoto is a clinch specialist who becomes incredibly aggressive with knees once he gets ahold of the body lock. He will need to watch out for fists flying at him while he is trying to gain the clinch. If Anderson can get his large arms around Halo he will certainly be able to test the cardio of his opponent. Personally I think Halo will catch Anderson with some big shots and knock him out before we see the clinch. I got Halo winning this fight in the first round by knockout.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Yoko "Jelly" Zuna (2-0) {1-0} versus "The King Of Swords" Sananda Halo (1-1) {0-0}

Jelly was dominated in the standup the last time we seen him in Barbarian Fight Club. Every time he would get the takedown he looked like a different fighter becoming more dominate while less aggressive. He was able to defend submissions and improve his position all while landing some fierce ground and pound. Zuna did get cut in that last fight but he has had more than enough time to heal up and try for win number three in his career. Halo is a Muay Thai fighter and I can tell you he will not want to be on the ground with Zuna. Halo is a clinch fighter who loves to throw elbows when he is up close and personal, and instead of chasing his opponents around the cage he brings them to him by peppering them with kicks. Since we know Zuna cuts easy we could see a quick stoppage do to a cut with Halo winning. I don’t see it happening but it is possible. I predict Zuna getting the takedown and then taking it to Halo and winning by TKO in the second round.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Chin HoKelly (1-2) {1-2} versus "The Demon" Mauricio Mariano (0-0-1) {0-0-0}

I really like Chin HoKelly even though I do not see much of a future for him. He got into the fight game at an older age and then he has not been very impressive. He is a boxing style fighter and he has one win in three fights. In his two losses he was knocked out and that does not sound like a good up and coming stat line. He still could impress us and he will need to in his next fight. He is facing another boxing style fighter and this could be the make or break for HoKelly. Mariano as stated is a boxer but he has been rounding out his ground game. He recently was awarded a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and he has been improving his wrestling. If he is not winning the battle of strikes with Chin he may want to try for the takedown and see what he can do on the ground. Clearly Mariano has good conditioning as he was able to go the distance in his only fight and HoKelly has never been passed the second round so that could become a big factor late in the fight. This is a coin flip decision and I am going to have to say HoKelly wins by TKO in the first. Honestly though it could go either way.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Super Heavyweight (265+lbs)

Kamekona "The Shrimp Truck" Tupuola (1-2) {1-2} versus Jimmy "Knockout City" Boxer (0-1) {0-1}

Tupola got off to a horrible start in his career dropping his first two fights. He got on to winning ways in his last battle but he was not able to finish his opponent. He is a point grappler and that spells disaster when facing a submission artist like he did in his first fight. In his second fight he was knocked out with a head kick before he was able to get anything going. In his last fight everything went according to plan as he was able to score a takedown in every round and point out his opponent for the win. Boxer lost his only fight by submission after he took down a better grappler. From what I hear his punch is deadly but off his back he cannot do much and that is where Tupuola is looking to put him. I think The Shrimp Truck keeps rolling after he delivers a submission in the second round.

Preliminary Bout Number 5- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Sergie "Hell Raiser " Toderov (0-1) {0-0} versus Patrick "It's paddy's Day " Mc GInnley (1-1) {0-1}

Toderov is a boxer who has been working on his wrestling and Muay Thai which seems to me he is looking to clinch and dirty box. I could be wrong as this is pure speculation but if someone who is already so good at boxing was able to convert into a wrestling style clinch fighter would be very dangerous with the power that he already possesses. In his only fight he got clinched to death and he could not score a take down or break the clinch so this could also just be defensive training. Patrick was dominated in his last fight by Zona and he will not want that to happen again. Lucky for him Toderov seems like a guy who will be ok with standing in the pocket and striking with him. That is how Patrick likes it but it may be his downfall in this one as I have heard Sergie has a very powerful punch. Patrick is somewhat of a well-rounded fighter and he may want to take this to the ground and look for a submission. I think Toderov wins this one by TKO in the first round.

Main Card Fight Number 1- Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

Nego "Café" Dobom (4-0) {3-0} versus Decon Green (4-0) {3-0}

The only lightweight fight on the card is one I am truly looking forward to. Both of these guys are four and zero for their career and three and zero here in Barbarian Fight Club. Nego is a point fighter who has won three of his four fights by decision. He is a well-rounded fighter who can strike, cinch, and wrestle. He did prove he knows how to finish in his first fight in Barbarian Fight Club as he won by submission. Green is a submission artist who has won all four of his fights by submission and none of them have made it past the second round. Nego will not want to go to the ground with the purple belt, and if he can keep it standing he should win this fight no problems. I think he will look to score points with takedowns and Green will take advantage. I am predicting Green to win by submission in the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Super Heavyweight Fight (265+lbs)

Thor "The Titan" Guerrero (1-0) {1-0} versus Roy "Sir Knockalot." Bane (2-1) {2-0}

Back to the really big boys as we will see are last super heavyweight fight of the evening. Guerrero is a tremendous wrestler and he has a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In his only fight we did not see him even attempt a submission as he put on some nice ground and pound winning the fight by TKO in the end. The Titan has really been working on his stand up game lately as he is trying to become a double threat. Roy Bane is a boxer who seems to prefer the counter striking part of MMA more than anything else. He certainly has shocked us winning his last two fights by submission after getting taken down. Guerrero will be looking for the take down and that is for sure, but what will Bane be able to do off of his back in the real question. I don’t think Bane can finish Guerrero but Thor may not want to be as aggressive as he has been on the ground because anyone who makes a mistake can be caught in a submission. I think Guerrero will win this fight by TKO and I will guess that will come in the second round.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Antonio Ignascio Erazo (2-0) {1-0} versus Andy "Black Dragon" Machida (1-0) {0-0}

Classic striker versus grappler in our final heavyweight fight of the night. Erazo is the striker who prefers to be at range but will also mix it up in the clinch if it is a necessity. Erazo has been amazing with his take down defense as he is a perfect nine for nine in that category. He will need to utilize that aspect of his game when he takes on Machida who is an excellent ground fighter. Andy Machida earned his brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and he used that knowledge in his only fight in his career. In that fight Machida won by submission but he could not get the takedown to save his life. He went zero for five in the takedown department and that must have Antonio licking his lips. If Machida cannot get the fight to the ground he has a zero percent chance to win. I don’t think he will be able to get Erazo to the mat and I am picking Antonio to win the fight by knockout in the first round.

Co Main Event Light Heavyweight Tournament Round 1 Fight Number 1

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/10/10w2.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/29/29w3.jpg

Sheldon "The Doctor" Cooper (3-1) {3-1} versus Pedro Couture (3-1) {1-1}

Both of these fighter have defeated Austin Black and both of them have their only loses to guys that are in the next round. If Cooper wins and Daeron Inglorion or if Couture and Maia win we will see a rematch. There is only one question to be answered in this fight and that is where it will take place. If Cooper can score the takedown I think the brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is pretty much a lock to win. All three of Cooper’s wins have come by a first round submission. If this fight is controlled in the clinch by Couture then the boxing wrestler will make haste of Cooper. All three of Pedro’s wins have come by knockout in the first round. This fight promises to have a quick ending as both of these fighters have yet to make it out of the first round. I think Couture will win this by knockout in the first round but don’t count out Cooper as he can score a takedown from the clinch if Couture leaves it open.

Main Event Light Heavyweight Tournament Round 1 Fight 2

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32w5.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/21/21w12.jpg

Aderbal "Tapout" Maia (7-0) {3-0} versus Daeron "Killer" Inglorion (4-0) {3-0}

Maia is the number one fighter in Barbarian Fight Club at the moment. Don’t think for one second that will guarantee him to breeze right through this tournament. Maia has proven that he can take care of strikers by utilizing his extravagant ground game, but two of the other fighters in this tournament can match his skill on the ground. Inglorion is one of them as both of these fighters are brown belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as having tremendous wrestling. Obviously this will be a ground battle but Daeron usually does not look for submissions. He loves the ground and pound while mixing in some submission attempts, but he would rather pound his opponent out. Maia on the ground becomes an animal throwing a plethora of submissions at his opponent. I am going to pick Maia to win this fight by submission but do not be shocked in Daeron gets the victory over Aderbal.

That will wrap up the first round of the Light Heavyweight Tournament for Barbarian Fight Club. I can only hope it will be as exciting as the Lightweight opening round. I cannot wait to see who will advance this Wednesday at Hayashi's Lounge in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. I hope to see you all there.

nice preview, the only thing bothering me was:

Nego will not want to go to the ground with the purple belt, and if he can keep it standing he should win this fight no problems. I think he will look to score points with takedowns and Green will take advantage.

So he wants to keep the fight up but will put Green down? doesnt make much sense :P

I should have worded it like this. Nego should not go to the ground with the purple belt, and if he keeps it standing he should win this fight no problems. I think we will still look to score points with takedowns and that is where Green will take advantage.

I guess things like this happen when you write 50 or more match previews and another 20+ reviews a week.

That's insane hard work right there. How are you not a billionaire yet? lol

I spend a lot of money which is why I do so much writing. I have only been in the game for three months and I own a private gym where most of my guys are not fighting to bring in their own money. I have 4 single elite coaches and 2 double elite coaches which is pricey for their weekly wage (21k) I have recently bought a few custom avatars and I have bought a ton of supplements and clothing. I think I dropped close to 25k on 160 supplements because they where on sale. I also bet on a lot of fights and I am currently down 9,387 :( . If I didn't flaunt my cash I would have close to 1m. Just from writing I make 230k to 250k a month.

That's decent! I made like 500k in a couple of weeks without any laundering or any other illegal activity lol. Guess I can always do more graphics stuff when in need of $$$.

Yeah I think graphics make more cash than writing, at least that is what I hear. I downloaded GimpShop and started trying to make avatars and well........ I am not selling avatars. I cant do graphics for shit LOL. I still pop into the program and mess around and I have watched a few videos but it never comes out right so I will stick to writing for the time being. Would it be easier to start on things like banners, posters, or shirts? If so I will give that a go and maybe ease myself into the graphics.

Yeah man avatars are quite tricky. I'd suggest posters/shirts to start off with as they are easier to make.

well, i wasnt expecting 11 fail takedowns in 2 minutes too, your prediction wasnt that bad. But i knew the fight wasnt going to finish as submission on first round cause dobom is decent defending on ground. I was expecting another decision with the fight on ground, to be won with the points id get on standing strikes. luckily his good chin wasnt that good after all :D

Of the night awards

Barbarian Tournament 205lbs

Great event today and we are here to make clear about how i choose the “Of the night” awards.

In 16th February I’ve made a post with my preferences in the smack talk thread, if anyone want to read this here is the link http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=40735&page=11&do=findComment&comment=520327

Sub of the night

We got 3 fights ending in submissions today. When it is about submission, I prefer submissions with transitions/submissions from the bottom.

Our three fights were ending in armbar, let’s check them out.

Aderbal Maia (brown belt) vs Daeron Inglorion (brown belt)

Inglorion is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Maia is pressing down on Inglorion's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Inglorion scoring with punches to the head and body.

Maia is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Inglorion rolls with it to try and escape but Maia cranks on the arm and Inglorion is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Triangle from the bottom with transition into an armbar.

Sheldon Cooper (brown belt) vs Pedro Couture (white belt)

Cooper working for a submission but Couture is keeping him at bay.

Cooper has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Couture is forced to tap!

Armbar from the mount position.

Andy Machida (brown belt) vs Ignascio Erazo (white belt)

Machida looking for a guillotine from mount but Ignascio Erazo is having none of it.

Machida looking to isolate an arm here. Ignascio Erazo doesn't see it coming and as Machida extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Machida!

Armbar from the mount position.

Aderbal Maia against Daeron Inglorion in my opinion was a way better submission and against a brown belt fighter. But even thinking Maia deserved this; I don’t like to pick my own fighters. Between Machida and Cooper, I think a tricky submission from Machida look better than a “telegraphed” one for Cooper.

Im picking Machida for the submission of the night.

KO of the night

For KO of the night, I’m always trying to pick KO over TKO, since we have 2 KO in this event, we are going for them

Nego Dobom vs Decon Green

Dobom manages to break the clinch.
Green fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Green.

Dobom misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Dobom lands a big head kick that sends Green tumbling to the mat! Dobom takes a step backwards and waves Green back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Dobom and Green are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Dobom throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Green into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Dobom knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Two high kick connected in a row.

Cryst Halo vs Anderson Peixoto

Halo cracks Peixoto with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Halo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Peixoto to stand back up!
Halo lands a jab to Peixoto's midsection.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Halo lands a body shot.

Halo misses with a jab, cross combination.

Nice shot lands for Halo.

Peixoto is rocked!
Halo lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Peixoto up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Halo from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Peixoto's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

KO with a precise jab.

I told before that I really enjoy KO with high kicks and I prefer to pick high kick over punchs, but this time, I’m gonna pick Chryst Halo for KO of the night with his jab.

The reason for picking Chryst for the KO of the night when I like most high kicks is because Dobom already got the Fight of the night bonus in this event and i prefer to give the opportunity to another fighter.

I'm gonna pick Chryst Halo for KO of the night.

Fight of the night

I’m always trying to pick fights with 100% rating for the fight of the night, or the closest to 100% rating.

Today event we got 2 fights with 100% rating.

Nego Dobom vs Decon Green and Chin HoKelly vs Mauricio Mariano

Not going to post the entire fight here, but reading both I was tending to pick Chin HoKelly vs Mauricio Mariano, but after this fight Mauricio Mariano become a free agent list and only one of the fighters was going to keep the bonus. This is the main reason for my decision this time.

Im giving the Fight of the night for Nego Dobom vs Decon Green.

That is my opinion and i would like to know which you guys would pick and why.

There is Tony Rossi picks for the event.

Sub of the night: Cooper

KO of the night: Dobom

Fight of the Night: Chin HoKelly vs Mauricio Mariano

Adrien "leão" Silva (239987)

Thomas Dijkman, I'm getting right to the point, I'm finishing this fight quick. When I slip in my rear naked choke, I hope the ref doesn't stop it too soon because I want to choke you unconscious and stand over your lifeless body. May this violent act be a message for the rest of the division.
