Of the night Awards for Impact 13 Xezeron vs Norman

With not a single fight going the distance in this event there was some hot competition for the awards.

KO of the night went to: Martin Foster After Knocking his opponent down for the second time, Foster goes in for the kill and get's the knock out with a huge knee. A good win for Foster.

Sub of the night went to: Zurab Sergeev Under a barrage of ground and pound, Sergeev was determined and eventuall got his opponent in to a triangl and put him to sleep. A nice win for Sergeev and it see's him move a few more place upwards nearer the top end of the division.

Fight of the night went to: Trev Hartley A combination saw his opponent hit the canvas for the first time, the second he went down from a lovely hook and Hartley wasn't going to let him get back up again, he dived into side control and really finished him. The crowd went nuts, a great comeback fight for Hartley and puts another win on his record.

Trev Hartley and Martin Foster also were winners of 100% rated fights and pm'd to claim their $2k bonus.

Of the night Awards for Impact 14 Monster vs Lannister

Another great event this weekend, there were some top notch KO's up for awards making the decision even harder than normal.

KO of the night went to: Josh Lang His opponent showed great determination getting up after 2 knockdowns, Lang made sure with his 3rd attempt that he wouldn't be able to get up and connected with perfectly timed head kick that knocked his opponent out cold.

Sub of the night went to: Pale Monster A great fight between 2 ground fighters, both fighters looking for the submission. Lannister scored the final takedown and Monster countered with a superb guillotine and gets another win by submission.

Fight of the night went to: Jake LaMotta vs Jimmy Sheppard Two true warriors went head to head and both ended up cut, bruised and battered. A real show of determination by both fighters with LaMotta coming out on top and moving into the no.1 contender spot.

Impact 15 review

A capacity crowd at the Underground, London witnessed Impact's latest event. With 7 KO/TKO's, 2 submissions and only one fight going the distance, you can bet they all went home happy.

170lbs Barnaby vs Leon

The fans haven't seen Barnaby enter the cage to do battle for nearly 2 months now but they all know when he enters the cage, fireworks go off. Barnaby came out from the bell and launched his attack with his lethal kicks, a lot were landing and he soon managed to cut Leon. Leon picked up the pace and was avoiding kicks and strikes nicely and landing some great strikes of his own. Leon almost looked like he was beginning to get the better of Barnaby and them Bam, a perfectly timed head kick landed flush and put Leon on the ground. The ref jumped in and stopped the fight. A great win for Barnaby, beating one of the top contenders and moving himself up to 3rd in the division.

Winner: Barnaby by TKO(head kick) in the 1st round

155lbs Robinson vs Karl

This was always going to be a tough fight for Karl but to stay in contention for a title shot, he needed to stay on his feet and wait for an opportunity to land a big punch. Initially, things were looking really good for Karl, he stuffed the first 3 takedowns and when he was caught and taken down by the 4th, he took control and forced a ref stand up, all he needed to do now was keep going and look to land a few good punches. Unfortunately, when he was next taken down, he couldn't react quick enough to take control and Robinson landed a Kimura. Robinson shoots up to 3rd in the division rankings, a great debut fight.

Winner: Robinson by submission(kimura) in the first round.

155lbs Aoki vs Monet

In Aoki's first fight, he showed that he could fight comfortably in the clinch and had some serious power, this time he put on a demonstration of his ground skills for the audience. He quickly moved into clinch, landed a couple of punches and then took Monet to the ground before he had time to react. After a barrage of ground and pound, it wasn't long before the ref had to jump in and intervene. Another win by Aoki moving him into the number 1 contender spot with rumours flying around that he will be fighting the winner of the Monster vs Conrad fight.

Winner: Aoki by tko(strikes) round 1

170lbs Yafelman vs Gnesh

Yafelman has been steadily climbing the ranks, after his debut loss he has since notched up 2 straight KO's, 1 by his hands and the other by his feet. Gnesh, a ground fighter was going to have to take this fight to the ground fast if he didn't want the ref's face to be the first thing he sees when he wakes up.Gnesh was looking for takedowns early on but Yafelman defended superbly. Gnesh looks like he may have gassed himself out or got caught by a punch that made him catch his breath, Yafelman saw his opportunity a massive head kick, waited for him to get back up and then knocked him out cold with a big right hand.

Winner: Yafelman by KO(punch) in round 1

170lbs Brown vs Smuda

In this fight we saw two wrestlers going head to head. Brown had an impressive first round, initially he was happy to stand and strike, waiting for the right time to take the fight to the floor. Once on the ground, Brown dominated the fight from top position with some ground and pound. It was pretty much the same story in the second round only this time, he began to drop some bombs. Smuda couldn't defend himself against this amount of damage and the ref stepped in.

Winner: Brown by tko(strikes) in round 2

155lbs Jakinek vs Duckke

This fight saw 2 boxers going head to head with complete opposite strategies. Jakinek came out swinging like a mad man and was looking to finish the fight early, he attempted a massive 60 punch combo's with 21 landing but not enough to knock his opponent down. Duckke on the other hand looked to be playing defensively, throwing around 30 strikes in the fight, unfortunately for him he didn't get the opportunity to put Janiek away. Jakienk took all 3 rounds on sheer volume of punches.

Winner: Jakinek by unanimous decision.

155lbs Dias vs Lamb

Dias had to finish this fight early before Lamb, the submission specialist, could take him down and that's exactly what he did. The bell rang and Dias landed a combination to get the ball rolling. He then stuffed a takedown and countered with a lovely hook, stunning Lamb. Dias saw his chance and drove forward landing with a straight followed by a hook. Lamb fell to the floor and Dias continued striking until Lamb couldn't take anymore and tapped out.

Winner: Dias by submission(strikes) in round 1

205lbs Lauzon vs Traddles

This was always going to be an interesting fight, both fighters have decent striking ability and both fighters also having good BJJ skills. Both fighters came out from the bell very aggressive. Lauzon landed the first strike only to be taken down a few seconds later, with Traddles having the better BJJ skill, it didn't look good for Lauzon. Strangely, Traddles decided to stand up from the dominant position and Lauzon made him pay immediately for it. A failed takedown from Traddles let Lauzon counter with a number of hooks, the final one putting Traddles to floor out cold. A nice debut fight and also his first ever fight.

Winner: Lauzon by ko(punches) in the first round

155lbs Ruxpin vs Maisumov

Maisumov attempted a few head kicks, probably looking to set up a decent take down opportunity but unfortunately he got caught by a big right hand very early on which knocked him to the ground. Ruxpin didn't need inviting twice and quickly pounced on his opponent, landing some serious punches before the ref had to jump in and stop the fight. A good debut fight for Ruxpin.

Winner: Ruxpin by tko(strikes) in the first round

170lbs Walker vs West

West looked to control the first 2 rounds comfortably, landing a large amount of kicks. In the 3rd round, Walker picked up the pace and started throwing a lot more punches, landing with a good percentage of them. Once he had found his range, he landed with a huge combination which put West on the floor. West got up without protecting himself properly and Walker took the opportunity to land an uppercut, leaving West out cold on the floor. A risky strategy maybe but Walker seems to have the chin and the KO power to do it.

Winner: Walker by ko(punch) in the 3rd round

Lee "Faker" Sanghyeok

"Leo will look so silly after i knock him out. My last opponent was lucky to get a cut, but its not going to happen again buddy. You better come with all you got, but i don't believe you will survive the first round. Good for the crowd, bad for you!"
