Guest Posted July 1, 2014 Report Share Posted July 1, 2014 I'm planning on running a massive tournament to launch two new weight classes in New Era Xtreme: 170 lbs and 205 lbs. Technically, you could call this two simultaneous tournaments, but that doesn't sound as cool. This tournament should be loads of fun. New Era Xtreme already has a very active smack talk thread, so adding this into the mix will make things even more exciting. It will be a creation tournament, which means: DO NOT CREATE YOUR FIGHTER UNTIL AFTER THE CREATION DATE!! All creations must be 18 years old or younger. Once we have all of the slots filled up, a creation date will be announced. Training is allowed and strongly encouraged because the whole point of this tournament is to fully stock these new weight classes with young talent. One weight class will run the tournament out of Hilo. The other weight class will run out of Sydney. I'll take feedback from you guys on which weight class will run out of which city. The format will be double elimination. For those of you who are not familiar with double elimination, this means that you must be defeated twice to be eliminated from the tournament. All fighters will get one shot at redemption if they fall. Prize money available for this tournament will be $1.5 million, divided in the following fashion: 170 lb winner: $500,000 and title belt 170 lb runner-up:: $150,000 170 lb 3rd place: $75,000 170 lb 4th place: $25,000 205 lb winner: $500,000 and title belt 205 lb runner-up:: $150,000 205 lb 3rd place: $75,000 205 lb 4th place: $25,000 Who is interested?
