WTF Is with the sliders these days.

Did something happen? for some reason I lose every fight now? no matter what, my fighter goes in doing what I told him not to do. Now Ive had over 40 fights, so I'm sure Ive got it down quite well. But this is getting pathetic. I'm making new guys, hammering like 100 points into certain areas, and it does shit. I have guys with superb striking defense getting ko'd. Muay Thai specialists pulling guard, and shooting take downs when I clearly had my sliders set 100% standing, and 100% follow orders and stick to plan, and stay on the outside. But he thought he would shoot 3 take downs, and clinch a bunch and from there try 8 take downs.... I was kinda hoping he didn't throw ANY takedowns, he has superb kicks, strong punches, strong agility. But this is what I got http://mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=33743

Or how about this guy? he is a great boxer, has already ko'd this guy once. He gets a rematch, and my fighter who is set ALL STANDUP. Shoots for take downs, and goes for sub attempts. On a very skilled brown belt, who subs everyone? Why would a boxer go for all take downs ? Didn't thrown 1 punch.

Now this is about the 5th or 6th time Ive complained on here about this. I had a title fight before where I was trying to go for head kicks, didn't thrown 1 head kick.

My first fight with this guy, I had all setup for standup, ended up shooting 13 take downs, on a guy who is far superior wrestling. Luckily my guy won

One of those fights from about 4 months ago, the other is about 2 months ago! The kicks thing got sorted after it was brought up the first time so there is no point in posting that! "I post shit and it never gets sorted", then you posted something that got sorted as soon as you posted it the first time! What's getting ridiculous is people posting waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahmbulance threads every time they lose and think that's the way to get a postive response.

Seriously - if you think something is wrong, post it so that I can actually read it and don't have to fish through the whining.

The top guy - I looked at his tactics and he's like 90% stay standing in the clinch. One every 10 moves he should go for a takedown. If you don't want to go for that many takedowns, set the slider less. Then you have him set to nearly 50% stall and 70% break clinch. What exactly are you trying to do? In the standup you have him set to try to clinch, then in the clinch you have him trying to break the clinch!? Whether there are any bugs in the fight engine or not, setting tactics like that won't win you fights.

Look... when bookies are done and the new training is in to sort a couple of bugs in that, I'll be spending a long long time on the fight engine to improve it and double check everything. I've been doing a lot of things on it recently anyway just not made noise about it.

But if you have something that goes wrong - post about it as soon as it happens and just be clear about what the issue is.

"This guy is set 100% takedowns, 100% follow orders and went for takedowns". That will do - no need for the rest.

I don't know if that is a good idea, people are never going to be happy and the engine will never be 100% perfect. Everytime someone lose it's the fault of the engine or the judges these days.

In my opinion this time should be used to add new features and improvements to the game, not tweak the game engine.

I was pretty sure I had him on stay on the outside because he has like abysmal clinchwork. But that could be where it got screwed up.

um..why not look at the specific case. How is this a matter of every time someone loses? I lost 4 in a row, with some pretty messed up results ,before I even said anything. Maybe the top one I rushed through, but I'm usually not too bad with the sliders.

Maybe there should be a main topic somewhere where there is a complete list of "what people consider issues" and then when you can respond to them when you check them out as nothing wrong, possibly something wrong, error, etc, etc...Maybe like they submit a ticket or something...that way there are not 10+ post a day about the same things over and over and then that leads to less flaming back and forth between groups...Just something to get people's complaints in order and so they can be responded to when needed. Also there are multiple topics such as the td's(when 100%) that have already been answered but i geuss people do not like to use the search button. There has to be a simple way to get this more organized.

To be honest I don't see why people complain when their fighters lose, after all this is just a game at the end of the day, nothing serious.

If my fighters lose so be it, it doesn't effect my life and I just see what the next fright brings, if there is an error (or what I think is an error) I report it in Errors forum but I then forget about it and move on with a shrug of my shoulders

What would be the difference?

Now, people who have "issues" make a topic, and everyone in the community tells them why they are wrong and should stop complaining.

Under your proposal, Mike would have to take even more time out of IMPROVING THE GAME to respond to every little whine that everyone has.

The best way to "get organized" is to have people with issues do a simple search through the forums to see that the problem they have encountered has been seen before, and to read that topic. If someone can't do the simple task, they deserve no answer.

Part of the "beta process" in software like this, and we are still "beta-ish", is for the community (all of us) to help answer the questions (and issue inquiries) of others, and only escalate the serious game problems to the developers (Mike). Mike goes above and beyond to read and respond on these forums - asking him to look through everyone's ridiculous "issues" would take away from improving the game.
