World Combat Championship: Gut Check Preview and Predictions

World Combat Championship comes to you live from Hayashi's Lounge - The Island for a high octane Friday night of MMA action! The caged octagon is taken down and a ring is set up for eight huge fights highlighted by San Terra and Razor MuayThai in the main event! As always, Shtaaf Reimish here to break them all down for your betting wisdom benefit!

Rob "Thrills" Mills (0-0) vs #14 Coltin "Knucklehead" Scheihing (3-1) Bantamweight

Friday night's card kicks off with a bantamweight fight between debuting Rob "Thrills" Mills and former WC featherweight challenger, Coltin "Knucklehead" Scheihing! Mills is making his pro MMA debut here at Gut Check. The Englishman, who's managed by none other than Mike Tycoon, has an amazing skill set including Muay Thai, wrestling and BJJ, which makes him a lot more threatening than most rookie fighters. Scheihing has fought once before in the WCC, back at WC 7 for the featherweight belt versus Mamad Mouba, which stands as his only loss. The one advantage Mills may have in the ring Friday is his boxing abilities, which he will need to rely on if he stands any chance of winning. I've got Mills via submission.

#10 Azamat "Tough Guy" Gashimov (3-0) vs #7 Reem Khalid (4-2) Featherweight

The second fight on the evening's card features two featherweights looking to make a push up the WCC rankings, its Azamat "Tough Guy" Gashimov vs Reem Khalid! Gashimov has fought three times professionally, all in the QFC, reeling out three straight victories. The Russian has strong wrestling abilities, but can box as well as seen in his KO victory over Dan Finot. Khalid began his career with four straight victories, before hitting a rough patch losing his last two. The former AFL fighter will hope the change of scenery combined with his new brown BJJ belt can help him back to the win column Friday night. I'll take Khalid to give Gashimov his first career loss, via submission.

#6 Jordan "Jack" Ellis (2-0) vs #5 Jimmy Etherington (3-1) Lightweight

Gut Check slowly gets heavier as two lightweights enter the ring looking to continue on their impressive resumes and climb closer to a title shot, its Jordan "Jack" Ellis vs Jimmy Etherington! Ellis is off to a very impressive start to his career with two straight first round TKO victories, including his last one over Detangelo Harmeski at WC 12. The New Yorker has Muay Thai skills to compete with the best in the world, and will look to end Etherington's night early using his fierce elbows and knees. Etherington, a Doncaster, England native, also last fought at WC 12. He put on a show submitting Panagiotis Bitakos via a rear naked chokehold that earned him Submission of the Night honors. The BJJ specialist will look to use his brown belt to tap out his shorter but chunkier opponent Friday. I've got Ellis keeping himself undefeated via TKO.

#2 ZyD XyD (6-3) vs #8 Pat "Funhouse" Sharp (4-2) Lightweight

The fourth fight on tap again comes from the ultra-competitive lightweight division as ZyD XyD and Pat "Funhouse" Sharp enter the ring to climb the divisional ladder. XyD has fought only in the AFL thus far in his career, which saw him rapidly climb up the rankings until he lost a title fight to Renato Laranja before going 1-1 over his last two. He was then dropped by his former manager before quickly getting scooped up by WCC owner JayJay Tycooner who signed him to a WCC deal. The Cameroon native has a solid Muay Thai background, that, combined with a pretty good wrestling skill set, makes him a tough opponent no matter who he faces. Sharp began his career with two straight losses, but has rebounded to win four straight heading into this fight. We last saw Sharp at WC 11 where he took Ren Grusen the distance and unanimously won on the cards. The Reading, UK native will look to use his BJJ advantage when the bell rings to open the fight at Gut Check. That said, I have to take XyD to win via TKO.

#5 Lou "The Rabbit" Hole (6-5) vs #11 Cocaine "Cherkes" Panda (4-2) Welterweight

To the Welterweights we go as former champ, Lou "The Rabbit" Hole, makes his first appearance at 170 pounds after losing his WCC Middleweight belt against a fighter looking to rejuvenate his career after a recent rough patch, Cocaine "Cherkes" Panda! Hole came to the WCC after a brief stint with both the QFC and Highland Games, quickly climbing the ranks to gain a title shot, which he won via KO over Santos Chavez. He successfully defended his belt against Billy Tinkl before eventually losing it in his second defense to Shoddy Boddy via submission at WC 12 last weekend. The Canadian has a vast repertoire of weapons to beat his opponents, so we'll have to see which one(s) he uses Friday to regain his champion form. Panda also fought last weekend at WC 12, and also lost. His loss, however, came via TKO after getting picked apart by Arnolf Karstark. The BJJ specialist will look to take this fight to the floor and see if he can submit his shorter opponent Friday. However, I've got Hole keeping the fight standing and winning via KO.

#7 Carl "The Hitman" Jessup (7-5) vs #4 Jimmie Craig (6-2) Light Heavyweight

In the third-to-last fight of the evening, the WCC brings together two amazing fighters that are apart of the battle that is the light heavyweight division top 10, its #7 Carl "The Hitman" Jessup vs #4 Jimmie Craig! Jessup began his career in the AFL where he worked his way up the ladder with a five fight win streak and won the AFL belt at AFL 10. He would end up losing it in his first defense en route to a four fight losing streak. He then transferred over to the WCC where he is currently 2-1. The short Haitian has some serious Muay Thai game and has no problem slowly wearing his opponent down, even if it means taking it to the cards. Craig has done a lot already in his brief career, including a stint with Ultimate XC, a 3 fight kickboxing career, and is now here in the WCC. In his two WCC fights, Craig has not seen the one-minute mark as he has dropped both his opponents in the early stages, including his most recent KO of the Night performance on Michael Coleman at WC 10. The Canadian is a pure boxer, not really looking to take the fight down to the floor, and will look to keep Jessup on the outside if he wants to keep his rise to the top alive. I'll take Craig by KO.

#7 Oleg Bartowski (5-1) vs #4 Arnolf "The Turncoat" Karstark (9-6) Welterweight

In the co-main event of the evening, the WCC puts another welterweight division showdown in the ring as two former champions, Oleg Bartowski and Arnolf "The Turncoat" Karstark, look to supplant themselves among the true title contenders of the division once again. These two have fought before, in a title fight no less, as Bartowski ripped the belt away from Karstark via a second round KO of the former champ, which leaves Karstark hungry for revenge! Bartowski has done almost everything right thus far in his career, the lone exception being letting Quin Kenobi get behind him for a RNC submission late in the fourth round of Bartowski's first title defense at WC 11. The 'Fight of the NIght' loss left the American wrestler in a place he's never been before, the losing column. It will be interesting to see how he responds to adversity for the first time. Karstark responded well to his title defense loss to Bartowski, beating Cocaine Panda with a flurry of knuckles which ended the fight early in the first. The Andorran is hungry for revenge of the guy who initially took the belt away from him. This bout has all the makings of legendary material! I'll take bartowski winning again, this time going the distance by decision.

#1 San Terra (10-3) vs #2 Razor MuayThai (7-2) Heavyweight

And now, for the main event of the WCC's Gut Check, it’s the former WCC Superheavyweight Champion San Terra, taking on the former Middleweight Highland Games Champion Razor MuayThai in a fight to see who gets a shot at current WCC Heavyeight champ Dik Wad! Terra is Wad's most recent opponent, where he lost via TKO from a flurry of punches he couldn't defend midway through the second round. The Poland native is the inaugural WCC Superheavyweight champ, which he won way back at WC 1 and successfully defended once before losing it to current champ Matt Punisher. Terra will have a definite weight advantage in this fight, and will look to utilize it along with his superior boxing skills to set up a title rematch with Wad. MuayThai is making his WCC debut here at Gut Check. The Algerian has previously only fought as a middleweight (all with Highland Games) so we'll see how he does moving up two divisions. There is no doubting his amazing Muay Thai abilities, so we'll have to wait and see if he can get inside of Terra and clinch his way to victory. The way I see this fight, MuayThai will be a bit out of his weight league and will probably lose to Terra via KO, but it's not my opinion that counts, its what happens in the ring!

MMA Tycoon fans from right here on The Island to around the world, WCC: Gut Check is an event you will not want to miss. With eight ranking implicating fights, including the Terra/MuayThai fight that has everybody talking, World Combat Championship will deliver once again! See you Friday!

World Combat 13 Preview and Predictions

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1423823397cupid_is_creepy.png

The love will definitely NOT be in the air this Valentine's Day down at Hayashi's Lounge - The Island as World Combat descends upon it to bring Island MMA fans World Combat 13! A full slate of 10 fights grace the evening's card including a championship bout for the Lightweight Title and concludes with a main event featuring two former AFL fighters looking to immediately challenge for the WCC Featherweight belt, it’s Rufus Lockheart vs Ali "The Headhunter" Roumani! Shtaff Reimish here to break down all that is to come Saturday, so let's get the previews going!

#5 Borhan "Bull" Kahn (5-4) vs #12 Opananu Milan (1-0) Middleweight

WC 13 begins with a middleweight fight between Borhan "Bull" Kahn and Opananu Milan as they both look to solidify a spot as a legitimate threat in the ultra-competitive middleweight division! Kahn started his career with an extended stay in the QFC where he went 4-3 over seven fights. He then signed with KOTC where he won his debut before the organization closed and joined with WCC. He had a three fight win streak going before losing his WCC debut to Dik Wad via TKO midway through round one. The Bangladesh native has won four fights via submission, so look for him to attempt a submission if the fight heads to the mat. The younger Milan has been training hard before making his pro debut in the QFC, which he won via unanimous decision. The Australian has a great Muay Thai and wrestling skill set that could make him tough to figure out. I'll take the youth of Milan to TKO his older opponent Saturday!

#12 Doyle "Boiled" Hawk (4-1) vs Fedor "Stunna" Sambo (2-1) Heavyweight

The second fight on tap features two heavyweights looking to build off of recent mini win streaks, its Doyle "Boiled" Hawk vs Fedor "Stunna" Sambo! Hawk, known for his flamboyant and brash smack talk, fought five times in the QFC before finally signing a contract with WCC. In all four of his wins he has used his brown belt to submit his opponents, including his most recent victory over Dawit Asfaw February 1st. The NYC native is quite weak standing up, but if he can take his opponent down, look out, he goes for the submission! Sambo, a former pro boxer, has fought three times in his career, all with the WCC. He lost his inaugural bout but rebounded to win his last two. If the Russian can keep this fight upright, I really think he could knock Hawk out! We'll have to see though. I'll take Hawk via submission.

#11 Adonai "Almighty" King (4-1) vs #9 Bubba Jenkins (4-0) Heavyweight

We remain in the heavyweight division with our next fight as Adonai "Almighty" King takes on the undefeated Bubba Jenkins! King came out strong in his professional career, reeling off four straight victories, before he was finally taken down and submitted by Maki Pulu at WC 10. King, the taller of the two fighters, will look to keep this fight standing and use his boxing background to victory on Saturday. Jenkins has fought his way to four straight QFC victories to begin his career. The Ohio native has an extensive wrestling background that he loves to take advantage of when the fight brings itself to the floor. Two opposing styles will enter the octagon, and its anyone's guess which will reign supreme. I'll take King via submission for victory.

#10 Kaupe "Cannibal" Akuapehuale (4-0) vs #5 Saan Shlamel (5-1) Welterweight

Next up at WC 13, World Combat Championships puts Kaupe "Cannibal" Akuapehuale and former champ Saan Shlamel into the octagon together in what should be an amazing fight! Akuapehuale has been with the WCC since the beginning, fighting four times and coming away with four first round finishes. The Samoan boxing specialist has more than enough power to end anyone's night early, so Shlamel will need to keep his head active if he wants a chance to fight for the title again any time soon. After two QFC victories, Schlamel signed with the WCC and quickly climbed the ladder, earning his first title shot, which he won via a knee that ended Sam MacLeod's title reign. Sclamel would end up losing his belt to Arnolf Karstark in his first title defense, but he rebounded nicely to win his last fight, a first round TKO of RJ Cherubim. Look for the Yemenite fighter to try to close the gap on Akuapehuale, as his Muay Thai skills are second to none in the WCC. This fight is sure intriguing to call. I'll take Shlamel via TKO.

#5 Alphonso "Phonso" Bobo (6-3-1) vs #4 Cho King Fang (4-1) Featherweight

The last fight on the preliminary card features two featherweight fighters who are probably one or two wins away from a title crack, its #5 Alphonso "Phonso" Bobo vs #4 Cho King Fang! Bobo has already tasted supremacy in the WCC, winning the featherweight championship back at WC 5 over Griegorij Dudkov before losing it in his first defense to Nikolai Medvedev. The Boston native was then granted a shot at Peter Parker's lightweight belt, but lost the fight via armbar submission in the first round. Back at his natural weight, Bobo will look to his Muay Thai background to climb back up the ladder towards another title fight. Fang has fought his way to three straight WCC victories, including back-to-back wins over Gabel McStravick via Americana and Triangle submissions. The Hong Kong native is a BJJ brown belt and has used his submission abilities to climb his way to his current #4 WCC featherweight ranking. If he can take this fight to the ground, he'll win, but he has to get it there. That said, I think he will, and I'll take Fang via submission.

#3 Ska Asap (9-3-1) vs #10 RJ "Fallen" Cherubim (8-4) Welterweight

The main card begins with a welterweight fight between Ska Asap (9-3-1) and RJ "Fallen" Cherubim, two former AFL fighters who are both coming off of losses. Asap, the former two-time AFL champ, will make his WCC debut here at WC 13. The Djibouti native's most impressive win on his resume comes over current WCC champ Quin Kenobi at AFL Bonecrusher where he took it the distance and won on the cards. Asap doesn't really have what it takes to fight standing up, but he can take the fight to the floor, he can do some serious damage to anyone. Cherubim enters this fight after a WCC debut loss to Saan Shlamel at WAW 3 via TKO. The Filipino has seen a lack of consistency hinder any chance at climbing the rankings during his career, but will look to make an immediate statement with a win Saturday. All in all, I can’t see Asap losing this fight, but stranger things have happened in the octagon. Asap via submission.

#3 Maki Pulu (10-4) vs #8 Garcia Vega (7-1) Heavyweight

WC 13 continues with a big time heavyweight fight between two fighters looking to climb the ultra-competitive divisional ladder, its Maki Pulu vs Garcia Vega! Pulu fought twelve times in the QFC, going 9-3, before signing on with the WCC. He was immediately given a title shot in the superheavyweight division on short notice against Matt Punisher. He didn't last long, however, being Ko'd 1:19 into round one. Pulu rebounded well to submit Adonai King back at his natural 265 pound weight class. The PNG native has won all ten of his victories by submission, and I can see no reason why he would want to change what's been working for him. Vega is making his WCC debut here at WC 13. He also had an extended stay in the QFC, fighting eight times going 7-1. The Dominican has the abilities to end the fight early with his knuckles, but we'll have to see if he can stay standing against Pulu long enough to do damage. I've got Pulu via submission.

Lightweight Championship Title Fight

© Peter "The Spiderman" Parker (7-4) vs #7 Gabel "The Wall" McStravick (4-3) Lightweight

And now, Peter "The Spiderman" Parker puts his lightweight championship belt on the line for the first time as he squares off against Gabel "The Wall" McStravick to see who is the true Lightweight Champion of The Island! After a long run in the AFL that saw him come up short in two title shots, Parker was given a chance to show off his talent immediately in his first WCC bout. he not only showed off, but he submitted former champ Alphonso Bobo 1:31 into round one to claim the lightweight belt. The popular New York native looks to be in fine form here as he enters the ring as the champ for the first time in this his fourth title fight. McStravick may not be quite as well known in the lightweight division as some other potential title contenders. Some feel he struck it lucky when owner JayJay Tycooner gave him the fight, but he'll take it and try to prove he deserves the shot with a win Saturday. Coming off back-to-back submission losses to Cho King Fang, McStravick responded with a decision win over Im Hwoarang to set up this fight. On paper this shouldn't be a fight, but we all know it's not won and lost on paper. Parker by TKO.

#1 Billy Tinkl (8-3) vs #4 Sergio "le le" Malandro (4-1) Middleweight

the co-main event of the evening features a former AFL Welterweight champ pitted up against a young up-and-coming star for a shot at the title, its Billy Tinkl (8-3) vs Sergio "le le" Malandro! Tinkl has fought almost his entire career in the AFL, winning the welterweight title once, and losing the title fight twice, once as the champ and once as the challenger. He then made the switch to the WCC where he was immediately given a title shot against former champ Lou Hole, which he lost via a first round TKO. he looks to get back on track with a win here that would most certainly set up a title fight with new champ Shoddy Body. Hailing from the Congo, Tinkl can tangle with the best of them on the floor, but definitely lacks the creativity needed while standing up. Malandro is making his WCC debut here at WC 13. He lost his pro debut back in December, but since then has reeled off four straight victories leading up to this fight. The Brazilian has remarkable Muay Thai skills, and will look to end this fight in the clinch if given the chance. With a potential title shot on the line, there's lots to fight for in this one! I've got the upstart Malandro ending this one via TKO.

#1 Rufus Lockheart (6-2) vs #3 Ali "The Headhunter" Roumani (6-1) Featherweight

And now, for the main event of the evening, World Combat Championships presents a featherweight fight that will determine who gets a shot at Mamad Mouba's recently vacated belt, its #1 Rufus Lockheart vs #3 Ali "the Headhunter" Roumani! Lockheart has spent his entire career thus far in the AFL, where he has fought well and hard, but was never given the chance to fight for a belt. The Dane is a pure boxer, using his quick and powerful fists to end fights early. It is well noted, however, that both of Lockheart's losses have come via submission, so we know where Roumani will look to take advantage. Roumani also has spent his entire career in the AFL, and like Lockheart, was never presented a title shot. A native of Azerbaijan, Roumani is on a five-fight win streak that he will look to keep alive with his brown belt in BJJ. Both these fighters know what is at stake here in this fight, and both will look to take advantage of each others strengths and weaknesses, so this fight has all the makings of a Fight of the Night bonus after the evening is completed! When the dust settles, I've got to take Roumani via submission.

Well MMA Tycoon fans, the card of World Combat 13 is stacked with high octane matchups that will keep you on your feet all evening long! With the Lightweight Championship on the line, to go along with two or three title play-in fights, WC 13 is an event that you will not want to miss! See you Saturday!

World Combat Championships: Sucker Punch Sunday Preview and Predictions

World Combat Championships closes out an amazing four-event week with yet another full card this Sunday down at The Underground - The Island, its Sucker Punch Sunday! There won't be any title fights, but with twenty fighters stepping into the octagon on a mission, whether that be entering the rankings or becoming the top challenger, this will be a cap to the weekend you will not want to miss! Shtaaf Reimish here as always to break all ten fights down for you!

#15 Reshad "Bring the Pain" Tartan (1-2) vs Robbie "Smalls" Biggie (1-2) Bantamweight

Sucker Punch Sunday kicks off with a couple of little guys as Reshad "Bring the Pain" Tartan and Robbie "Smalls" Biggie enter the octagon looking to right the ship of their emerging pro careers! Tartan began his career in the KOTC where he lost his first two pro bouts before ending Jason Stratham's night early with a KO punch. The Italian is dropping a couple weight divisions with the transition to the WCC, and it will be interesting to see if the boxing specialist can cut the weight needed to make this fight happen. Biggie fought twice in the QFC (1-1) before signing on with the WCC. He made his WCC debut at WAW 2 where he was TKO'd in the second by Ryan Reynolds. This will be a turning point in both of these two fighter's careers, one for the better and one for the worse. I've got Tartan by KO.

#13 Alexander "Tiger" Sarnavskiy (2-0) vs #12 Benny "Brick Breaker" Bishop (3-1) Featherweight

The second fight on tap Sunday comes to us from the featherweight division as Alexander "Tiger" Sarnavskiy and Benny "Brick Breaker" Bishop look to build off of solid pro starts! Sarnavskiy fought twice in the QFC before signing with the WCC, winning both fights via unanimous decision. The 20-year-old Russian will look to his boxing and wrestling abilities as a way to challenge his toughest opponent yet. Bishop fought three times in the QFC (3-0) before losing his WCC debut to Griegorij Dudkov via KO 34 seconds into Tsunami. The Israeli fighter wasn't able to bring his opponent down then, but will aim to get Sarnavskiy to the floor early to utilize his BJJ forte. While this may not be a flashiest bout, its intriguing none the less. I'll take Bishop via submission.

#7 Sead Macak (3-4-1) vs #6 Remi Mooki (3-1) Superheavyweight

Time for the beasts of the WCC to take center stage as superheavyweights Sead Macak and Remi Mooki get set to do battle. Macak began his career as a heavyweight with three straight losses, but hung with it to reel off three straight wins. He then signed a WCC contract, going 0-1-1 in his two fights thus far. The move up to superheavyweight may be a challenge for the Bosnian, but he's up for the challeneg none the less with his boxing and wrestling majors. Mooki is more well know to WCC fans, as he's been with the organization since the beginning. After starting with three straight submission wins that saw him climb the ladder, he slid back a couple rungs with his TKO loss to Kevin Klobbering Time at WAW 3. The Aussie has a wide range of skills that have made him hard to break down, and with a solid coaching staff behind him, he's always ready for his opponent. I've got Mooki via submission.

#5 Rocko Buster (4-1) vs #12 Panagiotis "Uncharted" Bitakos (1-2) Lightweight

The fourth fight on Sunday's card comes from the lightweight division as Rocko Buster (4-1) vs Panagiotis "Uncharted" Bitakos enter the octagon ready for a bloodbath! Buster fought five times in the QFC before joining the WCC, winning four via TKO and losing his only fight via submission. The former boxer from LA will continue to look for his fists for success while the rest of his MMA game rounds out into a more balanced attack. Bitakos enters this fight after suffering a submission loss to Jimmy Etherington in his WCC debut last weekend. The Greek teenager poses a balanced attack, but hasn't really mastered any specific aspect of MMA like Buster has boxing. We'll have to see who's tactics are better aligned for one another Sunday, but in the meantime I'll take Buster via KO.

#11 Yaazi Qysan (3-3) vs #13 Randy "Pan" Goatboy (3-3) Bantamweight

We close out the preliminary card with a battle between two bantamweights who are fighting to find consistency early on in their careers, its Yaazi Qysan vs Randy "Pan" Goatboy! Qysan has been through three organizations already in his brief career, but hoped to have found a home here in the WCC. Coming off three straight decision results (1-2), the Bahamian will look to his superb boxing and wrestling abilities to gain some traction for a surge up the WCC ladder. Goatboy is a WCC veteran, first fighting at its inaugural event WC 1, going 2-3 while in the organization. The taller American has a reach advantage in this one, but I'm not sure if he'll look to use it considering Qysan's boxing abilities. He may be more inclined to clinch and display his superior Muay Thai skill set. All in all, I've got Qysan winning by KO.

#4 Michael "Pitbull" Langhi (3-0) vs #2 Thibault Michel (3-1) Superheavyweight

Opening up the main card, WCC brings together two fighters hungry for a chance at the superheavyweight title, and aren't that far off, its#4 Michael "Pitbull" Langhi vs #2 Thibault Michel! Langhi has looked magnificent early on in his career, reeling off three straight QFC victories, all with his knuckles. The switch to the WCC should do the Armenian good, as he will be given the chance to prove he is actually an elite superheavyweight fighter here on the Island using his devastating knuckles. Michel fought his first three pro fights in the WCC as a heavyweight, before making the jump up a division. He won his first fight here over Michael Gooden via submission. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt will look to bring Langhi to the mat as often as possible, and if he gets him there, the fight will be over quickly. This is an awesome matchup between two guys poised for a title run! I've got Michel by submission.

#4 "Iron" Mike Tyson (5-1) vs Tyler Taylor (5-1) Heavyweight

The next fight on tap comes to us from the heavyweight division as "Iron" Mike Tyson looks to continue his push back up to #1 contender status against unranked Tyler Taylor! Tyson was given a shot at being the inaugural WCC heavyweight champ, but unfortunately Dik Wad was too much as he fell via TKO. Since that loss back at WC 2, Tyson has regained his early form winning three straight fights to reassert himself among the top heavyweight contenders. There is no doubt the Jersey native can box with the best in the world, but he truly is untested on the ground. Taylor is far less known to WCC fans as he'll be making his organization debut here at SPS. The Montreal, Canada native has fought in the QFC six times losing only once, a decision loss to Marty Brown. While most of Taylor's fights go the distance, there is no need to assume this one will as his Muay Thai skills combined with Tyson's boxing abilities should ut an end to this one early on. I really like rooting for underdog's, but if I'd have to put money on it, it'd be on Tyson via KO.

#9 Fidel "El Presidente" Castro (2-2) vs #1 Papa Shango (7-4) Lightweight

It's time for some lightweights as Sucker Punch Sunday continues to build steam towards out feature main event as #1 contender Papa Shango enters the octagon against recently hot Fidel "El Presidente" Castro! Castro comes to the WCC on a two-fight win streak, after losing his first two pro fights, winning both by submission. The Cuban will attempt to keep his momentum going in the octagon this Sunday as he faces his stiffest test yet in Shango. A balanced attack which includes some solid Muay Thai skills should keep Castro in this fight, but we'll see how it all goes down when the bell rings. Shango comes to the WCC after a long career in the AFL. Fighting eight times, the shorter Shango climbed his way up to a title fight, but lost and followed that up another loss, which brings him into this fight here in the WCC. The Somalian does not possess the top-ranked skills need to compete standing up, but if his fights ever hit the mat, he puts his opponents to sleep immediately. This matchup has the makings of an awesome fight! I'll take Shango via submission.

#10 Dik Wad (7-1) vs #9 Sam "Monster" MacLeod (8-5) Welterweight

In the co-main event of the evening, WCC brings together two popular welterweight fighters for a second time as Dik Wad steps into the octagon against Sam "Monster" MacLeod to continue what they began way back at WC 1! Wad managed to win the fight back at the WCC's inaugural event, when MacLeod was in the process of wiping some Vaseline out his eye. Forgetting sportsmanship, Wad cracked him with a huge punch that knocked him out cold. Wad lost his next fight to current WCC Middleweight champ Shoddy Body, but has responded well with three straight victories bringing him back into the division's top 10. The A&B native has some of the best Muay Thai abilities on the Island, and will look to end MacLeod's night early again, no matter how he does it. MacLeod has seen some of the WCC's top fighters since the Wad fight, including a title fight he lost to Saan Schlamel at WC 6. The Scotsman won his last fight, breaking a two-fight losing streak, with a TKO over Jarek Mace. Both fighters know that the division is as tight as ever, which puts even more significance on this rematch! I can't wait for this fight to go down! I've got MacLeod winning the rematch via TKO.

#9 Adolf "Terminator" Schwarzkopf (7-4) vs #7 Momo La Brute (8-6) Light Heavyweight

And now, for the main event of the first ever Sucker Punch Sunday, the World Combat Championship presents two extremely popular fighters who have recently turned to the WCC to help steer their respective career's back in the right direction, its Adolf "Terminator" Schwarzkopf vs Momo La Brute! Schwarzkopf enters this fight on a two-fight win streak after earning KO of the Night for his dominant show of force over John Reese at WC 12. The former AFL fighter from Austria has a solid Muay Thai background that, combined with his decent wresting abilities, should make for a tough evening for La Brute. Speaking of La Brute, the Frenchman has spend extended stints in both UXC and Highland Games, never really firmly implanting himself as a legit title contender. The shorter La Brute could be in tough as his reach disadvantage could pose problems for his pro-boxing style. While its not a title fight, this main event still poses as an amazing matchup that will have MMA Tycoons fans out of their seats for the entirety of the bout! I'll take Schwarzkopf to win his third straight fight, this one via TKO.

Well, its been quite a week for the World Combat Championship, and what a way to close it out with its premier of Sucker Punch Sunday! While there is no title fight on the card, every one of the ten scheduled fights has a ranked fighter, so each fighter will want to climb that ladder! I'm looking forward to head down to The Underground to end off this crazy weekend of WCC action! See you Sunday!

Benny The Brick Breaker Bishop, fresh off a 37-second triangle armbar victory, and a Submission of the night bonus on Sunday, he had a smile on his face when reached for comment.

"You know, my debut here at World Combat, Dudkov caught me with my hands down and gave me my first loss. That hurt. But I've been training harder then ever, so my rebound win on only 4 days notice after suffering a TKO loss is something worth smiling about. At 4-1, I'm feeling good, but I know I need to climb to get to the top. JM "Mr. Wonderful" Casunuran (265851) has yet to get his World Combat debut, and I'd love to welcome him to the organization. What'dya say, at Sucker Punch Sunday 2? I can make it on a week's notice. I don't dent baby. I'm hungry. I'm ready."

World Combat Championships: Wad vs Gumble Preview and Predictions

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1424064870wadvsg.jpg

Ladies and Gentlemen, coming to you live from Hayashi's Lounge - The Island this Wednesday, the World Combat Championships presents the biggest fight in Island Heavyweight history, its WCC: Wad vs Gumble! The two greatest Island heavyweights will enter the octagon for one final Island fight to decide who is truly the #1 Heavyweight on the Island. The evening's card is full including a fight for the Light Heavyweight belt between Ben Pulse and Erik Peturson, so the actions will be furious from start to finish. Shtaaf Reimish here as always to break down all of Wednesday's action!

Bryan "The Flying Goat" Danielson (1-1) vs Martin Garcia (2-0) Welterweight

The WCC kicks off the night in the welterweight division as Cote d'Ivoire natives Bryan "The Flying Goat" Danielson and Martin Garcia look to build off of decent starts to their pro careers. Danielson won his pro debut in the QFC, but lost his next fight, a WCC debuting KO at the hands of Pecker Wood. The slightly taller Danielson has a solid boxing background, but hasn't been able to finish anyone off yet in his brief pro career. Garcia enters this fight after earning Submission of the Night awards at WAW 3 after his disposal of Boss Howard. While he won't shy away from the ground game, I don't think it would be Garcia's reference as he loves to fight standing in the clinch. Should be an interesting little fight to watch. I'll take Garcia via TKO.

Bruce "American Wailer" Marley (2-1) vs Vadim "Bear" Biryukov (1-1) Heavyweight

Next up of Wednesday's card is a heavyweight showdown between two fighters hungry to impress enough to climb into the top-15, its Bruce "American Wailer" Marley vs Vadim "Bear" Biryukov! Marley is making a re-appearance in the WCC after a quick, one-fight stand in the QFC. The Jamaican has two WCC submission wins to his credit, and will look to bring this fight to the ground as early and often as possible. Biryukov, on the other hand, will look to keep the fight standing and use his boxing background to victory. The taller Biryukov is 1-1 in the WCC with a TKO win followed by a decision loss. This fight will be determined by if Marley can get a takedown, and I predict he will, winning the bout via submission.

#8 Anthony "Showtime" Placencia (2-1) vs #6 Eryk Bartnik (3-1) Featherweight

In the first of back-to-back featherweight bouts, the WCC places #8 Anthony "Showtime" Placencia and #6 Eryk Bartnik into the octagon at the same time! Placencia began his career with two straight QFC wins, before losing his WCC debut to Ryan Williams via decision. The Milwaukee native will look for a bounce-back performance Wednesday using his solid ground attack as he enters the octagon for the first time in over a month. Bartnik comes to the WCC after 3 submission QFC victories surrounding a KO loss in the KOTC. The Polish fighter is as feared on the ground as any Island featherweight, and will look to lure Placencia to the floor when the opening bell sounds. I've got Bartnik via submission.

#5 Ryan "The Tiger" Williams (5-6) vs #9 Im Hwoarang (2-2) Featherweight

The fourth fight on the evening's card pits Ryan "The Tiger" Williams and Im Hwoarang against each other for the first time in their Island careers. Williams has seen his career take many unexpected twists through the UXC, AFL and now recently in the WCC. The two time "Submission of the Night" winner has never been able to link a couple of wins together to mount a run for the title, but now is as good a time as any for the Irishman to climb the divisional ladder. Hwoarang has fought four times professionally, wining twice sandwiched between two losses. The Muay Thai specialist from South Korea needs to win this fight if he wants any chance to climb the competitive featherweight division rankings to a potential title shot. Two hungry fighters always results in a great fight, and this should be one of them! I'll take Williams via submission.

Cameron "Sambo Kid" Hicks (3-2) vs #10 Harry "The Village Idiot" Hate (4-3) Light Heavyweight

World Combat Championships closes out Wednesday's preliminary card with a light heavyweight bout between Cameron "Sambo Kid" Hicks (3-2) and Harry "The Village Idiot" Hate! Hicks previously fought four times in the QFC (3-1) before signing with the WCC and losing his organization debut via opening minute KO to Jimmy Craig. Look for the Russian to aggressively pursue a takedown, as he should have the advantage if the fight hits the floor. Hate lost his WCC debut at WC 10 to Roger Rabato after fighting five times in the AFL going 3-2. The 26-year-old American has superb boxing skills that he will need to take advantage of if he wants to win this bout. I feel like I'm taking a lot of submissions, but I'll do it again: Hicks via submission.

#13 Ali Mouba (4-4) vs Lenny "The Guvner" McLean (5-2) Heavyweight

We kick off the main card of the evening in the same division we'll end in as two heavyweights look to plant themselves deep in the thick of the heavyweight challenger race, its Ali Mouba taking on Lenny "The Guvner" McLean! Mouba is making his WCC debut here at Wad vs Gumble, having previously spent most of his time at Highland Games. The Senegal native began his career with great aspirations with four straight wins, but has recently plummeted to four straight losses. He hopes a change of employer can reignite a previously promising career. McLean also spent a brief time at HG before joining the WCC in time for WC 12, where he TKO'd Thiago Shilva. The Londoner has a vast repertoire of skills he can call upon, but may be outclassed in this one by slender wrestling opponent. I've got Mouba via submission.

#5 Jet Hemi (7-5) vs #9 Alphonso "Phonso" Bobo (7-3-1) Bantamweight

The ultra competitive bantamweight division is where two of the next three fights are staged in as #5 Jet Hemi (7-5) and Alphonso "Phonso" Bobo look to make that push for top contender status. Hemi has seen momentum work for and against him in the AFL as he raced out to a 6-0 start, including a championship victory, before falling to five straight losses before joining the WCC. The Kiwi won his WCC debut over Goatboy via a first minute KO and will look to further use his superior boxing skills to advance up the division. Bobo is well known among WCC fans, as the Boston Muay Thai specialist is a former WCC bantamweight champion. He has fought as a featherweight and lightweight in his last two fights, but drops back down to his natural bantamweight to make a push to regain his belt. Should be a high action fight, and I'll take Hemi via KO.

Light Heavyweight Championship Title Fight

© Ben "Unincorporated" Pulse (7-4) vs #5 Erik "The Red" Peturson (3-0) Light Heavyweight

in the first of two title fights on Wednesday's card, the World Combat Championships presents a bout for the light heavyweight championship belt between the Champion, Ben "Unincorporated" Pulse, and the currently undefeated Challenger, Erik "The Red" Peturson! Pulse has held the belt since he won it back at WC 3 over Damian Koza. He has taken a lot of heat for not defending it over the last two months, but decided Peturson was the guy he wanted to put it on the line against. The boxing specialist will be outweighed in this bout, but look for the Kiwi to keep his much shorter opponent outside and end the fight with his powerful knuckles. Peturson has fought three times in the WCC, and won all three via TKOs in under two minutes. The Icelander has shown off his amazing standing abilities, but hasn't really been challenged on the mat yet, not saying that this fight will head there though. Both guys will presumably stay standing and swing for the victory. I'll take Peturson getting inside and ending it with a TKO.

#7 Thaddeus "Junior" Fitzgerald (5-4) vs #3 Nikolai "The Bear" Medvedev (8-7) Bantamweight

Back to the little guys we go in the evening's co-main event, as Thaddeus "Junior" Fitzgerald and Nikolai "The Bear" Medvedev look to be the next guys to challenge for the bantamweight title currently held by Bobby Bob Bob! Fitzgerald enters this fight looking for consistency as his last four fights have gone win-loss-win-loss, dropping him in the rankings. The lanky Bahamian has natural KO power if given the opportunity, and has been furiously working on developing his ground game to be able to take on the best. Medvedev has fought three times for the title here in the WCC. He lost his first shot Griegorij Dudkov before winning his next attempt over Alphonso Bobo. He unsuccessfully defended his belt to current champ Bobby Bob Bob back at WC 10, and is looking to rebuild his resume to force WCC owner JJ Tycoon into giving another shot at Bob. The Russian has fierce clinching abilities and can put you to sleep if he catches you not paying full attention. I've got the former champ, Medvedev, taking this fight via TKO.

Heavyweight Championship Title Fight

© Dik Wad (7-0) vs #1 Barney Gumble (13-0) Heavyweight

And now, for the main event EVERYONE on The Island has been dying to see, the World Combat Championships presents the battle of two undefeated Heavyweight Island Champions, it’s the WCC Champion Dik Wad taking on the HG Champion and tonight's Challenger, Barney Gumble! Wad has been the only heavyweight champion the WCC has had, winning the inaugural title fight back at WC 2 over Mike Tyson. Since that fight, Wad has successfully defended his belt three times, including his most recent Fight of the Night TKO of San Terra at WC 12. The Canadian has used his boxing and Muay Thai abilities to help him to success thus far, and will need an even greater performance here with a perfectly executed game plan to retain his belt from Gumble. Gumble has been the true dominant force the Island has been waiting for over a number of seasons now. The undisputed P4P Island king enters this fight after successfully defending his HG belt he first won at HG6 eight times! The American can chuck knuckles with the best in the world, and will be looking to end his Island career in style as the undisputed HG and WCC Heavyweight Island champion. This fight is everything MMA fans could dream of! While I like Wad's chances to keep it close and hang in there a while, I've got to take Gumble winning this one via KO!

Well MMA Tycoon fans, the World Combat Championships will deliver once again this Wednesday! If you've never seen a WCC fight card before, there is no better time than Wednesday as two belts will be on the line, including the main event behemoth of a fight between Wad and Gumble! Get your tickets now, as this event is sure to pack out the Lounge well in advance of walk-up! See you Wednesday!

World Combat 14 Preview and Predictions

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1424234772r.jpg

MMA Tycoon fans from around the world to right here on The Island, the World Combat Championships presents to you another marquee event at Hayashi's Lounge on Saturday as three championship titles are on the line that all feature some of the premier names in the WCC, its: World Combat 14! The Bantamweight, Welterweight and Superheavyweight belts are at stake as Bobby Bob Bob, Quin Kenobi and Matt Porcelain Punisher are set to defend them against some of the top challengers in the WCC, BJ Arnold, Tony Bullard and Razor MuayThai respectively! Shtaaf Reimish here as always to break down all of Saturday's action, so let's get 'em rolling!

#9 Detangelo Harmeski (1-1) vs #11 Sero "Berserker" Onix (1-2) Lightweight

World Combat 14 kicks off with a lightweight bout between two young fighters who bot have a chance to take a step up the divisional ladder early in their careers with a win Saturday, its Detangelo Harmeski vs Sero "Berserker" Onix! We last saw Harmeski at WC 12 where he was TKO'd in the first round by Jordan Ellis. The Cate d'Ivoire native does hold potent boxing skills that should at least Onix leery of coming in without a plan. Onix, on the other hand, loves to fight down on the mat. The Polish teenager has only fought in the QFC thus far, and will look to make an early impression on his new boss with a win here at WC 14. I've got Harmeski via TKO.

Lane "God Of War" Tate (1-2) vs "The Train Wreck" Wilson Rebound (1-0) Heavyweight

Two heavyweights enter the octagon in WC 14's second fight as Lane "God Of War" Tate and "The Train Wreck" Wilson Rebound aim to establish themselves in a dense heavyweight division. Tate made his WCC debut at WAW 3 where he was TKO'd in the first round by Sakuraba. The clinch specialist out of Belgium will aim to keep Rebound within his grasp and look for an opening to his head to put him to sleep. Rebound got off to an impressive start to his career, finishing his first QFC fight with a TKO of Dawid Rymarczyk in the first round. The Hilo native has a well balanced attack and will look to take advantage of Tate wherever he sees a hole. I've got Rebound via KO.

Vyacheslav "Slava" Vasilevskiy (2-0) vs Leno "Midnight" Maycon (3-0) Light Heavyweight

Two undefeated light heavyweight boxers enter the octagon next as Vyacheslav "Slava" Vasilevskiy and Leno "Midnight" Maycon aim to enter the rankings with a win here Saturday. Vasilevskiy has fought twice in his pro career, winning two QFC bouts, one by decision and another via first round TKO. The 22-year-old Russian has feared knuckles, but can also survive on the mat if either decides to take it there. Maycon enters this fight on a three-fight win streak, including two in the WCC. The Brazilian has never ended a fight before the final bell, however, but in saying that, has proven he can last the full three rounds. Should be an interesting tangle. I'll take Maycon via another decision.

Axe "Repeatedly" MeatsFleash (1-1) vs #11 Johnny "Bonebreaker" Bravo (4-3) Light Heavyweight

World Combat 14 stays with the light heavyweights as Axe "Repeatedly" MeatsFleash and Johnny "Bonebreaker" Bravo look for that resume boosting victory that they both so eagerly desire. MeatsFlesh has fought both his pro MMA fights in the WCC, losing his debut but rebounding with a TKO win over Jackie McGregor at WCC: Tsunami. The American has a ferocious set of fists that he will look to devastate the face of his ranked opponent Saturday. Bravo enters this fight on a bit of a slide, losing his last three bouts. His career looked so promising as he sprinted out to a 4-0 start, but the Angolan can testify as to how much momentum plays with a fighter's head. Look for Bravo to shoot for takedowns early and often as he aims to find the win column that has eluded him for well over two months now. I'll take Bravo via submission.

#5 Gunnar McGregor (8-2) vs #11 Taufiqul "Venom" Haq (3-1) Heavyweight

The last fight on the preliminary card features two impressive heavyweight contenders looking for that signature win that will force JJ Tycooner's hand for a bigger fight, its Gunnar McGregor vs Taufiqul "Venom" Haq! McGregor has been there already in the WCC, fighting in two title fights, unfortunately losing both of them. He's been with the WCC since WC 1, and will look to his submission powers to put his next opponent to sleep Saturday. The BJJ brown belt from Iceland, desperately wants another shot at the title, but with the division getting more and more competitive, he'll really have to prove it, and it starts Saturday. This is Haq's second appearance in the WCC, going 1-1 his first time. The boxer from Bangladesh made a quick, 1-fight appearance back in the QFC where he KO'd Matt Forley, and is back, eager to prove he belongs with the best of the WCC. Haq's a good fighter, but I can't see any way he beats MacGregor. I've got McGregor via submission.

#12 Rick Grimes (6-3) vs #2 Chin Checker (7-3) Welterweight

WC 14 kicks off its main card with a huge welterweight fight between #2 ranked Chin Checker and the recently hot Rick Grimes! Grimes began his career in the QFC (4-1) before signing with the AFL. Things did not go well for him there as he lost his only two fights in the organzation. He then signed with the WCC, where things seem to be much bright for the Kentucky native. The Jiu-Jitsu specialist has won two straight and will look to win the biggest fight of his career, a fight that would be a gigantic resume booster that would see him shoot up in the rankings. Checker is here for one reason, to win and wait to see who he'll fight next for the title, Kenobi or Bullard. The #2 challenger lost his first WCC fight to Bullard via first round TKO, and will most definitely want a rematch if he's the won with the belt before this evening is completed. Look for the Belgium fighter to keep this fight standing and look for the opening to KO Grimes. I'll take exactly that, Checker via KO.

#1 Skunk Asap (8-2) vs #3 Roger Rabago (9-1) Light Heavyweight

Two agitated top contenders in the light heavyweight division enter the octagon next, in what should be a title shot fight-in bout between Skunk Asap and Roger Rabago. Asap had anxiously waited for a shot at the Highland Games title, but was never rewarded one, so he has signed over to the WCC, looking for what eluded him at HG. The Muay Thai specialist from Djibouti is on a three-fight win streak which includes KOs in his most recent two, so look for him to end this one early as well. Rabago also enters this fight coming off three straight wins, his including a WCC debut decision 'Fight of the Night' win over Harry Hate at WC 10. The San Antonio native is a solid boxer, winning seven of his nine wins with his knuckles. This fight has all the makings of one to remember, so don't blink! I'll take Asap via KO.

Bantamweight Championship Title Fight

© Bobby Bob Bob (8-2) vs #1 "The Prodigy 2.0" BJ Arnold (8-1) Bantamweight

In the first of three championship title fights Saturday night, the World Combat Championships presents a battle for the WCC Bantamweight belt between the Champion, Bobby Bob Bob, and the Challenger, "The Prodigy 2.0" BJ Arnold! Bob came to the WCC when the AFL shut its doors, and immediately made an impact. He earned a title shot against Nikolai Medvedev at WC 10 which he won via a second round KO. The Bolivian the successfully defended his belt via decision at Tsunami over Darth Vadar. The champ does not like to bring the fight down to the mat, rather clinching his opponents often and disposing them with his vicious strikes. Arnold found his way in the UXC and AFL before making his way to the WCC. With just one loss to his name, an AFL title fight loss to Darth Vadar, the American is as feared opponent as anyone in the WCC. Arnold has earned an award in his last three fights, including two FOTNs and one KOOTN. The challenger may have just as good Muay Thai skills as the champ, but has far superior boxing skills, so look for him to stay on the outside of Bob. This has all the makings of a historical fight! I've got Arnold TKOing the champ.

Superheavyweight Championship Title Fight

© Matt "Fondelier" Porcelain Punisher (13-0) vs #1 Razor MuayThai (8-2) Superheavyweight

Another fight, another title on the line, as the World Combat 14 co-main event features the undefeated Superheavyweight Champion, Matt "Fondelier" Porcelain Punisher, defending his belt against the Challenger, Razor MuayThai! Punisher has done everything right thus far in his career, winning the UXC and AFL superheavyweight titles before turning his attention to the WCC. He first won the WCC crown back at WC 6 and has since successfully defended it four times, including his most recent second round KO of Klobbering Time at Tsunami. The feared boxer out of LA has not seen the final bell since back-to-back decision wins in his second and third career fights back in mid-September while in the QFC, so there's no reason to presume this will last the five rounds either. Muay Thai has seen title fights before back with Highland Games. He won and successfully defended his belt once, before losing it and being signed to a new manager, WCC owner JJ Tycooner. Tycooner signed him to a WCC deal, where he debuted at Gut Check, disposing of San Terra via second round KO. The Algerian can Muay Thai with the best in the world, so look for him to get inside of Punisher as much as possible, to avoid getting hit by his feared knuckles from distance. Boxer versus Muay Thai, WCC champ versus HG champ, this fight will be great! I'll take the challenger, MuayThai, with a TKO victory over Punisher.

Welterweight Championship Title Fight

© Quin "Jedi" Kenobi (7-2) vs #1 Tony "The Wrecking Ball" Bullard (10-1) Welterweight

And now, for the main event of the evening, the World Combat Championships presents a fight for the Welterweight Championship belt, it’s the Champion, Quin "Jedi" Kenobi, taking on the top P4P fighter in the WCC, Tony "The Wrecking Ball" Bullard! This is Kenobi's first title defense after he first won the belt from Oleg Bartowski via submission in the Fight of the Night at WC 11. The 25-year-old from Malawi used his formidable floor skills to climb the ladder in the AFL before joining the WCC, where he is 2-0 with two submission victories. Kenobi is taller than his Saturday opponent, but he'll need to utilize all of his reach advantage if he stands a chance to successfully retain the belt. Bullard enters this fight as the most feared fighter in the WCC, riding a 10-fight win streak after a loss in his pro debut. The former AFL champ has won all ten of his fights via striking TKOs using his amazing Muay Thai skills to damage opponent after opponent. The Icelander also doesn't see the floor a lot, defending takedowns with poise and skill, ending all but two of his fights in the first round. Look for this fight to be ended early, whether it be by Kenobi or Bullard. When all the dust settles, this fight will be determined by if Kenobi can take Bullard to the mat before he gets knocked out, and my answer to that is no. Bullard via TKO.

This very well may be the best single MMA card The Island has ever seen, never mind the World Combat Championships! With not one, not two, but three title fights and numerous other ranked fighters stepping into the octagon, WC 14 is a can't miss event! Get your tickets early, because Hayashi's Lounge is sure to be sold out! See you Saturday!

Sucker Punch Sunday 2 Preview and Predictions

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1424528945wcs.jpg

Ladies and Gentlemen, coming to you live from Hayashi's Lounge - The Island, the World Combat Championships presents another Sunday night fight card featuring two title fights, its: Sucker Punch Sunday 2! As the Island season draws closer and closer to a close, the fights become even more important, whether that be to earn that elusive title or a shot at the title, or simply to have a employer when the Island blows up. Jimmie Craig and Rufus Lockheart have each earned their title opportunities as they get a chance to take on Ben Pulse and Mamad Mouba for the Light Heavyweight and Featherweight belts respectively! And in the co-main event, WCC puts the ever-popular Tom Franks and Darth Vadar into the octagon together to make for an awesome evening of action! Shtaaf Reimish here to break down all of the weekend closer's action, so let's get to it!

#7 Benny "Brick Breaker" Bishop (4-1) vs #8 Anthony "Showtime" Placencia (2-2) Featherweight

The opening fight of Sucker Punch Sunday 2 features a pair of mid-ranked featherweights aiming towards higher rungs as Benny "Brick Breaker" Bishop and Anthony "Showtime" Placencia get set for battle! After a three fight QFC stint, Bishop latched onto the WCC, where he lost his debut fight but rebounded with a dominant submission victory over Alexander Sarnavskiy 37 seconds into the inaugural SPS last Sunday. The 22-year old Israeli has proven that he can grapple with the best of them, but it still to be seen if he can be a legit contender do to his inability thus far standing up. Placencia enters this fight on a two-fight loss streak, after winning his first two pro fights in the QFC. The recent stumble has dropped the American out of the rankings, but a win here using his superior Muay Thai skills will shoot him back up into the top-15. This is a very tough fight to call, but I'll take Bishop via submission.

#4 Kevin "Its" Klobbering Time (4-1) vs #2 Michael "Pitbull" Langhi (4-0) Superheavyweight

In the second fight on tap, the big boys of the WCC enter the octagon as Kevin "Its" Klobbering Time and the undefeated Michael "Pitbull" Langhi get set to make their case for a title shot! Klobbering Time is coming off a title fight loss to Matt Porcelain Punisher in WCC: Tsunami where he hung in there until a second round right knocked him out cold. He began his career with four straight (T)KO victories using his natural knock out power to devastate his opponents, and will turn back to them to regain his previous form. Langi may be the fighter that is even better than Klobbering Time at his own boxing game. His four-fight win streak is the longest in the division entering the weekend besides the current champ, Punisher. The Armenian has won all his bouts with his knuckles as well, so expect this one to stay standing and for someone to KO the other. My best guess, its Langhi who KOs Klobbering Time to set up a title fight!

Tyler Taylor (5-2) vs Michael "Bullo" Kamara (3-3) Heavyweight

The next fight comes to us from the heavyweight division as Tyler Taylor and Michael "Bullo" Kamara enter the octagon looking for the win to put them up into the rankings! After six QFC fights, Taylor signed with the WCC where he made his debut last Sunday, falling to Mike Tyson via first round KO. The huge Canadian prefers a stand-up fight, utilizing his extensive Muay Thai background to the five wins he currently has on his resume. Kamara spent a short stint in the highland Games before turning his attention to the WCC, where he has turned things around. With two straight wins, including his KO of Mansor Zorlac at WC 12, the Sierra Leone native is poised to make a statement with a win here. He'll look to keep Taylor at a distance, where he'll use his boxing prowess to break down his opponent. I'll take Taylor via TKO.

#5 Rocko Buster (5-1) vs #4 Jordan "Jack" Ellis (3-0) Lightweight

Next up on Sucker Punch Sunday 2's card is a massive lightweight bout between #5 Rocko Buster and #4 Jordan "Jack" Ellis, to solidify themselves as a legit top title contender. Buster made his WCC debut last Sunday where he dispatched of Bitakos mid-way through the first round after five fights in the QFC (4-1). The LA native has an extensive boxing background and has transferred those skills into MMA quite nicely, with all five of his wins coming via (T)KO. Ellis is off to an undefeated start to his pro MMA career, winning a QFC fight and a WC 12 via first round TKOs before lasting the distance with Jimmy Etherington at Gut Check before winning on the cards. The Ney York native may be one of the most pure Muay Thai fighters there is, but he has said before he's got more to show MMA Tycoon fans, so we'll have to wait and see! There's plenty on the line with this one, so expect fireworks! I've got Ellis keeping his hot start alive with a TKO win.

#9 Oleg Bartowski (5-2) vs #15 "Woody" Pecker Wood (2-1) Welterweight

Three straight big welterweight bouts are upon us as Oleg Bartowski and "Woody" Pecker Wood enter the octagon looking to climb the divisional ladder! Bartowski is a name familiar to all WCC fans, as the up-state New Yorker shot his way out to a 5-0 start, including a win over Arnolf Karstark in his first title fight at WC 9. He was unable to defend his belt to over eventual champ Quin Kenobi at WC 11 then lost the rematch versus Karstark via TKO at Gut Check. The former collegiate wrestler does not get taken down easily, rather using his knuckles to settle the score when he was winning. Let's see if the former champ can regain his previous form. Wood entered the welterweight rankings three weeks ago after his KO win over Bryan Danielson at WC 10 after going 1-1 as a light heavyweight. The Canadian Muay Thai specialist has spent his entire career with the WCC, and is finally looking like he found the right weight class to do some serious damage. I'll take Wood with the upset KO of Bartowski.

#4 Ska Asap (10-3-1) vs #7 Cocaine "Cherkes" Panda (5-2) Welterweight

We kick of the main card of Sucker Punch Sunday 2 with another welterweight fight between two highly ranked fighters in #4 Ska Asap and #7 Cocaine "Cherkes" Panda, who each believe its their time to challenge for a title! Asap has fought an amazing fourteen times on the Island during this season, spending most of his time in the AFL, which included winning the welterweight crown on two separate occasions. The ground specialist from Djibouti made an impressive WCC debut last weekend at WCC 13, submitting RJ Cherubim midway through the second round. He's hungry for another shot at a title, and Panda is just another obstacle in his way. Speaking of Panda, the tall welterweight managed to find the win column last week at Gut Check with a submission victory over Lou Hole. The win came after losing two in three, so we'll see if he's ready for the big next step that is defeating Asap. The Afghani holds a brown BJJ belt, so it's fairly clear where he'll want to bring this fight, and we'll see if he can get the finish he desires. When the dust settles in what should be a ground battle, I predict Panda will get the upset via submission.

#5 Dick Wad (8-1) vs #3 Arnolf "The Turncoat" Karstark (10-6) Welterweight

To round out the welterweight trilogy of fights, two top-5s get set to do battle to make a significant impression on JJ Tycoon to force a title fight, its #5 Dick Wad vs the former champ and current #3, Arnolf "The Turncoat" Karstark! Wad has only one blip on his impressive resume, a submission loss to Shoddy body at WC 3. The A&B native has been with the WCC since its inception, and he has used his amazing Muay Thai abilities to devastate opponent after opponent on his way up the ladder. Karstark struggled his way through the UXC and AFL before finding himself here in the WCC. He made is debut fight at WC 6 and has gone an impressive 4-1 including winning the title from Saan Schlamel before losing it in his first defense to former champ Oleg Bartowski. The 27-year-old Andorran is hungry to reach the top again, and will surely look to his boxing prowess to get him there Sunday. A win here for either fighter could definitely earn a title shot, so there's a lot on the line! I've got Wad via TKO.

Featherweight Championship Title Fight

© "The Real King" Mamad Mouba (6-2) vs #1 Rufus Lockheart (7-2) Featherweight

"The Real King" Mamad Mouba is finally set to defend his WCC Championship Title as he is squared up with the #1 Challenger Rufus Lockheart in what should be the greatest WCC featherweight fight to date! Mouba returns to defend his belt after taking a month away from the WCC, joining up with Highland Games for two fights going 1-1. Mouba first won his belt back at WC 5 over Boyka, and has successfully defended it twice, scoring a TKO and decision over Scheiling and Dudkov respectively. The Senegal native has a wide variety of ways to attack his opponents, but has no problem wearing them down over all five rounds and seeing the scorecards. Lockheart spent the large majority of his career this far in the AFL, taking a couple runs at a potential title fight, but losing right before getting there. He has now been presented a shot based on that history added to a dominant WCC debut decision win over Ali Roumani at WC 13. The Dane is best renowned for his boxing abilities, and loves to look for the KO early and often. This title fight simply has the two best featherweights in the WCC pitted against each other, so will the true champion please rise! I've got Mouba keeping the belt via TKO.

#5 Tom Franks (8-6) vs #2 Darth Vadar (9-3) Bantamweight

For the co-main event at Sucker Punch Sunday 2, the World Combat Championships presents a bout between two of the more popular fighters on the Island, it’s a bantamweight matchup between #5 Tom Franks and Darth Vadar! Franks spent a long period of time in the AFL before recently signing with the WCC. In his two WCC fights, he TKO'd Fitzgerald in the third round at WC 10 before falling to BJ Arnold via TKO in the Fight of the Night of Tsunami. The Belgium national is poised and ready to make a push for a title shot, beginning Sunday, hopefully taking advantage of his amazing boxing abilities. Vadar has about as impressive an Island resume as anyone can have, without currently holding a belt. He formerly fought in the AFL, winning the title on two separate occasions, successfully defending it once. He was immediately awarded a title shot after his conversion to the WCC, but fell to current champ Bobby Bob Bob at Tsunami. The Guinea-Bissau native will surely look to take full advantage of his superior ground skills and look for the takedown early. With both fighters probably one win away from a title shot, this fight will be one to feast our eyes on! I'll take Vadar getting the takedown and winning via submission.

Light Heavyweight Championship Title Fight

© Ben "Unincorporated" Pulse (8-4) vs #4 Jimmie Craig (7-2) Light Heavyweight

And now, more the much-anticipated main event of the evening, the World Combat Championships presents a battle for the Light Heavyweight Championship Title between the Champion, Ben "Unincorporated" Pulse, and the Challenger, Jimmie Craig! Pulse has come under a lot of scrutiny over his title reign, due to his lack of activity, and now that he is active, not fighting the top challengers, but none the less, he is the champ for a reason, and is a threat to whomever he steps into the octagon with. His first and only title defense was impressive, coming only four days ago, as he KO'd Erik Peturson 5 seconds into the fight. The Kiwi has the boxing abilities to knock anyone out cold, and we should get to see Sunday how he matches up against another boxing specialist. Craig comes into this fight winner of his last five MMA bouts, surrounding a short yet impressive stink as a kickboxer. The Canadian has won each of his last three fights within a minute's time, using his dominant knuckles to rearrange his opponent's face's. With a takedown almost out of the question, expect these guys to stand in there and throw 'em, which should end the fight early as both Pulse and Craig have devastating knock out power! Really a coin toss for the title, but if I have to pick it'll be Craig via KO.

Well MMA Tycoon fans from around the world to right here on The Island, Sucker Punch Sunday 2 is a perfect way to round out the weekend for one and all! With two title fights plus a number of ranking implicating bouts, this will sure to be a night you will not want to miss! I simply cannot wait! See you Sunday!

Whoop Ass Wednesday 4 Preview and Predictions

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1424774049Untitled-1.png

It's the last week on the Island for all of these fighters and the World Combat Championships, and to kick off the ending week, the WCC presents another edition of its Wednesday series, Whoop Ass Wednesday 4! Coming to you live from Hayashi's Lounge - The Island, WAW 4 is packed with awesome fights with huge implications, including the main event which features a bout for the Light Heavyweight Championship Title, its Jimmie Craig vs Razor MuayThai! Shtaaf Reimish here as always to break down all the evening's action, so let's get 'er going!
Mansor "The Rock" Zorlac (1-2) vs Fedor "Stunna" Sambo (2-2) Heavyweight
We kick off the evening's card with a heavyweight tilt between two fighters needing to turn things around if they want an employer after the season ends, its Mansor "The Rock" Zorlac vs Fedor "Stunna" Sambo! Zorlac enters this fight on a two-fight losing skid, which was kicked off by a TKO from Sambo at WAW 1 followed by a KO from Michael Kamara at WC 12. The native of Northern Ireland will look to use his solid boxing skill set to reset what began as a promising career, but recently has turned sour. Sambo has fought all four of his pro bouts with the WCC, winning two straight which saw him climb into the rankings, but fell to Doyle Hawk in his last trip into the octagon via submission. The 25-year-old Russian has natural knock out power, which combined with a decent takedown defense, has him in good position to take this fight and slide back up into the top-15. I've got Sambo via KO.
Coltin "Knucklehead" Scheihing (3-2) vs #13 Ville "Toto" Ahokas (3-0) Bantamweight
The second fight on tap is a prime example of how competitive the bantamweight division truly is, its Coltin "Knucklehead" Scheihing vs Ville "Toto" Ahokas! Scheilhing has never fully found traction yet as a professional MMA fighter, going 3-2 over the past three months. He was offered a fill-in Featherweight title fight against Mamad Mouba which would have seen his career take off towards full glory, but he lost that one and has followed it up with a 1-1 decision record over his last two fights. The Kuna, USA native really needs a win here, to supplant himself as a solidified pro MMA fighter. Ahokas has only headed in the right direction thus far in his career. The Finish teenager has used his decent boxing abilities combined with strong coaching to earn victories in each of his three pro bouts, including two in the WCC. He's hungry for a title shot, and with a win here, and maybe one or two more, the dream may be a reality! Ahokas via TKO.
#13 Egon "The Wall" Ekkehard (2-0) vs #10 Harry "The Village Idiot" Hate (5-3) Light Heavyweight
Next up is a light heavyweight bout between the young undefeated rising star, Egon "The Wall" Ekkehard, and a veteran looking to keep up his recent good form, Harry "The Village Idiot" Hate! Ekkehard has kicked off his career in most impressive fashion, with two straight WCC "Submission of the Night" first round victories. The German's impressive takedowns, which he seems to be getting at will, have been a perfect way to set up his dominance on the mat thus far in his career. The stakes are raised on Wednesday, however, as it is the first time he fights someone ranked in the top ten. After a five-fight run in the AFL (3-2), Hate has been in good form here in the WCC. He lost his debut via decision to Roger Rabago in WC 10's Fight of the Night, before knocking out Cameron Hicks midway through the first round at Wad vs Gumble last week. He'll look to keep that form using his dominant knuckles to end Ekkehard's night before the fight hits the mat. It really is a coin flip, but if I have to guess it'd be Hate via KO.
#11 RJ "Fallen" Cherubim (8-5) vs #10 Preuss "CRF" Skura (5-4) Welterweight
Down a division we go as we enter the thick of the welterweight battle, its #11 RJ "Fallen" Cherubim vs #10 Preuss "CRF" Skura! Cherubim's stock has been trending downward in the last three months losing five of his last eight fights including his only two WCC fights, a TKO from Saan Schlamel and a RNC from Ska Asap. The Filipino began his career with five straight QFC victories, and will look to regain that form with his array of attacks including decent Muay Thai and an ok ground game. Skura is making his WCC debut here at WAW 4. He began his career as a kickboxer, struggling to a 2-4 record before turning his attention to the octagon of MMA. He's surpassed expectations winning his first three MMA bouts in the QFC and is looking to climb to even greater heights here in the WCC. The Brazilian, who has the meanest moustache in the WCC, has huge knock out power and can also fight in the clinch if needed. I can't see this one heading to the mat, and therefor I've got Skura via TKO.
#11 Doyle "Boiled" Hawk (5-1) vs #9 Yoshimitzu "Yoshi" Sakuraba (4-1) Heavyweight
We finish off the preliminary card in the heavyweight division as Doyle "Boiled" Hawk and Yoshimitzu "Yoshi" Sakuraba square off inside the octagon! Hawk is one of the most popular yet most controversial figures in the WCC, never shying away from the smash talk stage to hype up his profile. But in the octagon, his abilities have done the talking, as the NYC native has fought his way to four straight victories including his WC 13 dismantling of Fedor Sambo last weekend via submission. Look for Hawk to shoot in for the takedown and use his BJJ brown belt to overcome his opponent Wednesday. Sakuraba is also on a four-fight win streak, and has seen his stock rise immensely as he continues to climb the WCC rankings. Like Hawk, his best abilities are on the ground, but instead of looking for the submission, the Japanese fighter has rocked his last four opponents with a flurry of fists earning four straight first round ground TKOs. Expect this fight to hit the floor early, and we'll wait to see who can impose their will once they get there. My best guess, Hawk via submission.
#2 Piotr "Wyspa" Wyspianski (7-2) vs #4 Rashad Byers (4-3) Welterweight
The main card of Whoop Ass Wednesday 4 begins with a bang as two top-4 welterweights step inside the octagon with their eyes on a title shot, its #2 Piotr "Wyspa" Wyspianski vs Rashad Byers! Wyspianski established himself as a solid title threat while fighting in Highland Games before recently turning his attention to the WCC. In his four HG bouts, his only loss came to the light heavyweight title challenger we'll see later tonight, Razor MuayThai via TKO. The popular Polish fighter has solid Muay Thai skills, but even greater than that, his wrestling abilities may be second to none in the WCC middleweight division. A win here for Wyspianski will surely set up a title fight with the winner of Friday's title fight! Byers made a successful transition to welterweight, hanging in his welterweight debut title fight two weeks ago before falling via submission to current champ Shoddy Body. Originally a light heavyweight, the American can thrown fight-ending knuckles, which combined with his developing BJJ skills, makes him a threatening challenge for even the top fighters. A Byers win here probably doesn't immediately give him another title shot, it may put him one win away from another chance. I can't see him taking it however, as I've got Wyspianski via TKO.
#5 Arnolf "The Turncoat" Karstark (10-7) vs #6 Lou "The Rabbit" Hole (6-6) Middleweight
The enormous fights continue, this one coming from the middleweight division, as two former belt holder enter the octagon, its #5 Arnolf "The Turncoat" Karstark vs Lou "The Rabbit" Hole! Karstark first won the title back at WC 8, but was unable to defend it as he lost his first title defense to former champ Oleg Bartowski. After rebounding to climb his way back up to a top contender again, he lost his most recent appearance in the WCC's octagon to Dick Wad via first round TKO at SPS 2. Currently ranked #5, the Andorran is probably two wins away from another title shot, but a loss here may cause him to fall significantly making even more difficult to climb back up. Hole has been with the WCC since its inception fighting both as a middleweight and a welterweight. The former welterweight champ successfully defended his belt once from Billy Tinkl before losing his next defense to current champ Shoddy Body. The Canadian then dropped back down to middleweight but lost his last fight via submission to Cocaine Panda. Hole has more than enough abilities to be a legit title competitor, but will need a win here to prove he can be who he thinks he is! With two veterans looking to regain previous championship form, this should be a great fight! I'll take Hole via submission.
#2 Kaupe "Cannibal" Akuapehuale (5-0) vs #1 Papa Shango (8-4) Lightweight
A title shot is on the line in this lightweight division bout, and both fighters know it as #2 Kaupe "Cannibal" Akuapehuale takes on the #1 ranked Papa Shango! Akuapehuale has flew up the WCC lightweight rankings since his pro debut at WC 2, reeling off five straight first round (T)KO victories. There is only one more fighter in his way at reaching a title shot, and one can assume the Samoan will continue to rely on his superior boxing abilities to wear down or more likely finish his toughest opponent yet. Shango had hit a rough patch in his career with the AFL but managed to rebound well a week and a half ago at SPS with an easy submission victory of Fidel Castro. The Somalian did manage to get a title shot while with the AFL, but lost, and is as hungry as ever to get back in the showcase event the a title fight brings. Look for Shango to aim for the takedown and fully take advantage of his amazing wrestling and BJJ skills which have brought him to all eight of his victories via submission thus far in his career! Its a traditional stand-up versus ground match-up, and I'll have to go with Akuapehuale getting the KO before he gets taken down to grant him the title shot!
#7 Sergei "Vasya" Vasilyev (6-4) vs #3 Michael Coleman (9-3) Light Heavyweight
In the co-main event of the evening, Whoop Ass Wednesday 4 brings together two extremely popular light heavyweights who both have a keen eye on a potential title shot not too far down the road, its #7 Sergei "Vasya" Vasilyev vs Michael Coleman! Vasilyev is making his WCC debut here at WAW 4, fighting his entire career in the AFL until this point. He put together a fairly decent resume in the AFL, coming close to a title shot a number of times, but always falling just short. The Russian comes to the WCC looking to use his outstanding ground game that includes a brown BJJ belt that has helped him to five submission victories thus far in his career. Coleman, also a former AFL fighter, managed to climb his way up the rankings and held the belt for a month, before losing it in his first title defense in late January. The Bahamian lost his WCC debut to current title holder Jimmie Craig, but rebounded nicely to a TKO victory of John Reese at Gut Check two weeks ago. The Muay Thai specialist is poised to climb to a potential title fight with a win here, but cannot look past the ground abilities of his opponent Wednesday. However, I do think Coleman has the takedown defense enough to keep it standing and win it via TKO.
Light Heavyweight Championship Title Fight
© Jimmie Craig (8-2) vs #2 Razor MuayThai (8-3) Light Heavyweight
And now, for the main event of the evening, the World Combat Championships presents five rounds of MMA action for the Light Heavyweight Championship Title, it’s the Champion, Jimmie Craig, taking on the Challenger Razor Muay Thai! Craig is making his first title defense of his belt after winning last weekend from Ben Pulse at SPS 2. He originally came to the WCC in January after a short kickboxing stint, and has won all four of his fights so far in the organization. The only MMA loss on his record was his first ever pro bout in the UXC, but since has rattled off six straight MMA wins! The Canadian has not needed a lot of time either so far in WCC's octagon, winning his four fights by an average of 45 seconds! His KO power is feared amongst all light heavyweights, and we'll have to wait and see if MuayThai can find a counter. MuayThai is a former Highland Games welterweight champion, before switching managers and finding a home in the WCC. He hasn't fought anywhere near his proper weight in his two fights so far (superheavyweight and heavyweight), but is being rewarded for the flexibility with another title shot. The Algerian has tremendous Muay Thai skills that would make anyone cringe, but if he has any chance on winning this one, he'll have to get inside of Craig's 15cm reach advantage and clinch on till a hole opens for him to deliver a KO blow. I really can't see Muay Thai getting inside, which is why my money is on Craig keeping his belt via KO.
Well MMA Tycoon fans, the World Combat Championships has delivered ANOTHER awesome mid-week card full of ranking implicating fights that are sure to have fans out of their seats for a majority of the evening! With the light heavyweight title on the line plus 15 other ranked fighters stepping into the octagon, Whoop Ass Wednesday 4 is an evening you will not want to miss! See you Wednesday!

World Combat 15 Preview and Predictions

http://oi60.tinypic.com/15ckqia.jpg

Ladies and Gentlemen, coming to you live from Hayashi's Lounge - The Island, the World Combat Championships presents their second to last event on the Island, its World Combat 15! the card is packed with awesome matchups, including three massive welterweight fights that include six of the top seven fighters in the division! The main event features the welterweight champ, Tony "The Wrecking Ball" Bullard taking on the division's #2, Ska Asap for the Welterewight crown! WC 15 also features a bout for the Featherweight Championship between "The Real King" Mamad Mouba and Ryan Beltshazar! Shtaaf Reimish here as always to break down all the matchups for you, and boy are we in for a treat!

#12 Kusi Amuo (4-2) vs Rob "Thrills" Mills (1-0) Bantamweight

World Combat 15 kicks off with the little guys as Kusi Amuo and Rob "Thrills" Mills enter the octagon looking to state their case for a top 10 ranking! After brief stints with Highland Games and the QFC, Amuo has turned his attention to the WCC winning two of three fights thus far. The boxing specialist out of Japan has had almost a month off after his KO loss to Ville Ahokas at WC 11, so look for him to be good and rested seeking another KO to help him climb the rankings. Mills made his pro debut at WCC: Gut Check, going the distance against Coltin Scheihing before taking on the cards. Managed by Mike Tycoon himself, the Londoner has been training hard and has the ability to beat you a number of ways, including on the mat and standing up. At 27, the time is now for him to make a run before its too late! I'll take Mills to kick off WC 15 with a submission victory.

#7 Erik Bartnik (4-1) vs #10 Azamat "Tough Guy" Gashimov (3-1) Featherweight

The second fight of the evening features two up-start featherweights looking to build off of solid beginnings to their careers, its Erik Bartnik vs Azamat "Tough Guy" Gashimov! Bartnik is still currently undefeated as a featherweight, as his only loss on his record came in a lightweight bout. In fact, as a featherweight, he has not seen the second round, ending each of his fights via submission in the first round. The Polish 25-year-old has a brown BJJ belt and has really shown it off so far in his career, and one can expect more of the same Thursday at WC 15. Gashimov did everything right in the QFC going 3-0, but unfortunately for him lost his WCC debut two weeks ago at Gut Check via decision to Reem Khalid. The Russian has a nice balanced attack, but is not a master of any particular aspect of MMA, making him a bit of an unthreatening decision fighter. I can't see this one going the full distance as I believe Bartnik keeps it rolling with another first round submission victory.

#10 Nasko Melnicata (5-2) vs #14 Bubba Jenkins (4-1) Heavyweight

Next up, WC 15 features two heavyweights who excelled in the QFC, and are working to establish themselves in the WCC, its Nasko Melnicata vs Bubba Jenkins! Melnicata has only featured in the QFC so far in his career, fighting seven times ending up with a 5-2 record and currently holds a three-fight win streak. The Bulgarian will predominantly be looking for the takedown and submission, where he has won all five of his wins in the QFC. Jenkins fought four times in the QFC before signing in the WCC going 4-0 and then losing his WCC debut at WC 13 via TKO to Adonai King. The American is also a ground specialist, but prefers rather to look for striking opportunities over a submission, winning three of his fights via ground TKO. This is definitely an intriguing matchup between two opposing ground games, and I'll take Melnicata to win his WCC debut via submission.

#8 "The Monkey Man" Dieter Von Sprockets (5-2) vs #11 Landry Watson (3-0) Light Heavyweight

The fourth fight on Thursday's card features the former Highland Games #1, "The Monkey Man" Dieter Von Sprockets taking on the young rising star light heavyweight, Landry Watson! Von Sprockets appeared to be the real deal early on in his career, but has really stumbled through his last two fights. The German climbed up the Highland Games rankings with five straight victories, earning him a title shot which he lost and then signed with the WCC where he lost his organization debut to Carl Jessup at WC 11 via a tight split decision. Von Sprockets will be hungry for a rebirth to prove he is still among the light heavyweight elite and has a solid repertoire of assets in his arsenal to unleash to get him there. Watson enters this bout still undefeated after two successful QFC bouts and a WCC debut decision win over Damian Koza at Tsunami. The Memphis, USA native has serious Muay Thai skills that he often turns to in order to impose his will on his opponents. Both guys have had lots of time off entering this bout, so we'll see who has the better game plan to climb the rankings into an elite contender of the division. I've got Von Sprockets via decision.

#5 Ben "Unincorporated" Pulse (8-5) vs #6 Adolf "Terminator" Schwarzkopf (8-4) Light Heavyweight

The preliminary card concludes with a huge light heavyweight bout between the former WCC light heavyweight champ looking to reestablish himself as a legit top contender against a veteran looking to continue a recent resurgence, its Ben "Unincorporated" Pulse vs Adolf "Terminator" Schwarzkopf! Pulse is making his first appearance in the octagon after losing his WCC light heavyweight last weekend at SPS 2 to Jimmie Craig via first round KO. The boxing specialist from New Zealand had been the title holder since WC 3, and will look to rebound here using those knuckles to rejoin the title conversation once again. Schwarzkopf has been one of the most feared fighters in the WCC since he first stepped into the organization's octagon back at WC 8, going 3-0 with three first round KOs including two KO of the Night bonuses. The Austrian was struggling in the AFL prior to the change of employers, but has seen his stock rise rapidly has he KOs opponent after opponent. And I've got him doing it again: Scharzkopf via KO.

#6 Alphonso "Phonso" Bobo (8-3-1) vs #3 Thaddeus "Junior" Fitzgerald (6-4) Bantamweight

The main card begins like the prelim did in the featherweight division, featuring two top 6 contenders looking to be the next challenger, its Alphonso "Phonso" Bobo taking on Thaddeus "Junior" Fitzgerald! Bobo is a veteran of the WCC, fighting back at the inaugural WC 1 and has built quite a resume over his time here including winning the bantamweight title at WC 5 over Dudkov before losing it next time out to Medvedev. He then moved around divisions for a bit but has settled back into the bantamweight division and is currently on a to-fight win streak heading into this one. The east-coast fighter has Muay Thai skills to burn and will turn to the clinch early and often to make a case for another shot at the title. Fitzgerald has bounced around organizations quite a bit to begin his career, but is hoping he has found a home here in the WCC. His win over Medvedev last week solidified the Bahamian's spot as a top 3 contender, and a win here could lead to the stand-up specialist finally getting his first career title opportunity. We'll have to wait and see if he can pull it out, however, but I'll lay money Fitzgerald winning via TKO.

Featherweight Championship Title Fight

© "The Real King" Mamad Mouba (7-2) vs #4 Ryan Beltshazar (5-2) Featherweight

The Featherweight Championship Title is on the line as the Champion, "The Real King" Mamad Mouba climbs into the octagon to take on his latest Challenger, Ryan Beltshazar! Mouba has been an absolute terror in the WCC's featherweight division, not losing a single fight yet en route to defending his belt three times, including his most recent defense last weekend at SPS 2 over Rufus Lockheart. The Senegalese fighter gave the Highland Games a try as a lightweight but returned after two fights to the WCC to defend his belt and grow his game as a featherweight. Mouba has a solid boxing and Muay Thai skill set and can defend takedowns with excellence, but if Beltshazar can take him down, he may be in trouble. This is Beltshazar's first ever fight as a featherweight, fighting his entire career up to this point as a lightweight in Highland Games. While the American may be an underdog in the clinch and wrestling categories, look out for his superb boxing fists and he may look for a submission using his purple BJJ belt if the fight does make its way to the mat. Tough to predict how this fight will go, but I do see Mouba retaining his belt via TKO.

#4 Quin "Jedi" Kenobi (7-3) vs #6 Oleg Bartowski (6-2) Welterweight

WC 15 ends with three straight welterweight fights featuring six of the top seven fighters in the divison, and first up we have #4 Quin "Jedi" Kenobi and #6 Oleg Bartowski looking to regain their former championship form! Kenobi is a well known fighter among Island MMA fans, fighting numerous times in the QFC and AFL before ultimately joining the WCC. He held the WCC welterweight belt after his submission victory over Bartowski, but lost it in his first title defense last weekend via TKO to current champ Tony Bullard. The Malawi native is still working on his stand-up game, but his ground attack is second to none in WCC's welterweight division, and if he can bring Bartowski to the mat again, he'll take this one. Bartowski began his career with five straight wins including his first title fight at WC 11 last month. He would lose his first title defense to Kenobi, however, and go on to lose his next fight verse Arnolf Karstark as well. he rebounded nicely last weekend with a TKO win over Pecker Wood to bring him back up to #6 in WCC's welterweight division and set up this rematch with Kenobi. I can't see him winning the rematch though, as I've got Kenobi winning via submission and climbing back into the top 3!

#1 Chin Checker (8-3) vs #3 Dick Wad (9-1) Welterweight

The co-main event of the evening features a fight-in bout between two of the top challengers in the welterweight division, as #1 Chin Checker takes on the #3 ranked Dick Wad! After a WCC debut loss to current welterweight champ Tony Bullard, Checker responded well with a opening minute KO of Rick Grimes last weekend at WC 14. The phenomenal boxer out of Belgium has placed himself in a position that a win on Thursday will guarantee a chance to fight the Bullard/Asap winner for the belt when WCC heads to New York. Wad has also climbed the ladder of the welterweight division since a submission loss to the current WCC middleweight champion Shoddy Body at WC 3. The A&B native has been with the WCC since its inception back in December, and has used his devastating knees and elbows to reel off five straight victories to supplant himself in the top 3, ready to make his first title fight appearance with a win Thursday. It’s a classic boxing vs Muay Thai battle, so we'll have to see if Wad can find a way inside to clinch up the taller Checker. My prediction is Checker can keep him outside enough to set up a KO punch.

Welterweight Championship Title Fight

© Tony "The Wrecking Ball" Bullard (11-1) vs #2 Ska Asap (11-3-1) Welterweight

And now, for the main event of the evening! The World Combat Championships presents a fight for the Welterweight Championship Title between the Champion, Tony "The Wrecking Ball" Bullard, and the Challenger, Ska Asap! Bullard is still on an undefeated run after losing his pro debut in the QFC to current #1 challenger Chin Checker. Since that fight, Bullard has won eleven straight (T)KO fights with only two of them going past the first round. He was the welterweight champ when AFL closed it's doors at the end of January, and was immediately granted a rematch with Checker upon his signature with the WCC, which he won in 1:24 via TKO. He then was granted a title fight against former champ Quin Kenobi which he won in 2:18 via TKO last weekend at WC 14. There is simply no doubting the Icelander's Muay Thai abilities after showing it off time and time again, and with another challenger in the waiting, it'll be interesting to see if he's found and answer to what so many before him have not. Asap also is a former AFL welterweight champ, defending his belt once before losing it on his second defense. The Djibouti native is 2-0 here in the WCC, and will look to add to his impressive resume with a title win Thursday. Asap has a slight reach advantage, but will look to take this fight to the floor if he can and take advantage of the possible weakness of Bullard's sub-par ground game. I can't see this happening, however, as I've got Bullard defending his belt via TKO.

If that fight card does not wet your appetite for MMA action, I do not know what will, as two title belts are on the line to go along with every other fight at least featuring one ranked fighter! The World Combat Championship is proving once again why it is the #1 ranked Organization on the Island and Top 20 in the world! World Combat 15 will be awesome! See you Thursday!
