Malakai Semerkhet, whose last name is in honor of a controversial Pharaoh, is a very proud Egyptian who does his absolute best to honor his country and his hometown in all endeavors. Malakai was discovered by Convicted Inc manager "Furious Styles" in an underground fighting circuit in Cairo. He's becoming renown for his highlight reel uppercuts and lethal head kick knockouts. Winning the Featherweight Title was a very proud moment not only in his career, but also for the citizens of Luxor.

Known as the Scorpion King, Malakai is the top Egyptian prospect on the MMA landscape. He's accelerated up the rankings with an exciting fighting style and earned the respect of the fans for his toughness, fortitude, and knockout power. His highlight reel finishes have his popularity soaring in the underground community, and he's considered one of the top featherweight prospects in MMA today.

Recently inducted into the SPNY Hall of Fame, he burst on to the MMA scene under the tutelage of Convicted manager 'Furious Styles'. After losing his debut to a renowned polymath in a controversial decision, he'd kick and punch his way into the spotlight. After three consecutive knockouts and Knockout of the Night performance, he earned a title shot. He first captured the SPNY Featherweight title when he finished the then-current champion, Tony Frank, with a body shot in 26 seconds of the first round.

Semerkhet throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Frank collapses and takes a barrage of punches from Semerkhet as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Frank is left battered and dazed whilst Semerkhet and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malakai Semerkhet! http://mmatycoon.com/images/tinyaward.jpg
Malakai Semerkhet is the new featherweight champion!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was one of the proudest moments of his life. He would go on to defend the title once before losing it to Joaquim Antunes, a fighter he'd become very familiar with. Despite showing good takedown defense in their bout, once Malakai was on his back he was clearly lost in transition, and his white belt in jujitsu was evident as he was controlled and dominated with ground and pound every round of the fight.

The Trials and Tribulations of the Scorpion King
http://mmatycoon.com/images/1300066337C%20F%20Club.jpg

After this loss and his embarrassing amateur performance on the ground, Malakai decided it was time for a change of scenery. He hired Convicted Inc mogul, Chris Karter, and moved to Los Angeles to train at Convicted Fight Club with legends like Fidel Puno, Hakuin Ekaku, Don Marciano, Moses Diggs, Taj al Din, and many more of the most successful fighters in the industry. After moving to Convicted Fight Club, he finished two consecutive opponents in the first round earning him two more knockout of the night performances and another shot at the title vs Joaquim Antunes, the fighter who took the belt from him.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ning leaves his chin hanging out and Semerkhet seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Ning crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Malakai Semerkhet! http://mmatycoon.com/images/tinyaward.jpg
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cortez Coleman stumbles back but Semerkhet runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Pierre Louis to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Coleman will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Malakai Semerkhet! http://mmatycoon.com/images/tinyaward.jpg
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Malakai had earned his purple belt under Eddie Bravo, and had vastly improved his ground game since his previous fight with Antunes. Chris Karter and Pluto Palhares had devised a different strategy for the title fight, Malakai would enter the rematch prepared to attack his opponent from his back and try to submit Antunes. Due to the element of surprise with Malakai's much-improved jujitsu ability, they felt he had a good chance to submit his opponent. Unfortunately he would once again fail. He couldn't transition and improve his position, or stop the relentless ground attack that the undefeated champion would deliver. Despite a couple close submission attempts, Antunes dominated the fight earning another unanimous decision. The loss strung Malakai deep, and he was very disappointed. He'd come back stronger than ever and hellbent on earning another shot at the gold, he'd finish his next 3 opponents in style.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Smith takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK. Smith is rocked!
Smith is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Semerkhet Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Smith is out cold, face down on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Malakai Semerkhet!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tiger drops his hands momentarily and Semerkhet needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Tiger just on the top of the head. Tiger drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Tiger - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Malakai Semerkhet! http://mmatycoon.com/images/tinyaward.jpg
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Williams misses with an uppercut and Semerkhet counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Semerkhet looks at the referee who does nothing so Semerkhet lands a crushing right that sends Williams to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malakai Semerkhet!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This brutality earned him the title shot he desired, but his opponent was the 8-1 Cortez Coleman, who was coming off two consecutive first round submission victories over his nemesis Joaquim Antunes. Cortez Coleman was riding a 5 fight winning streak with 4 submission of the night victories in a row. The confidence from Coleman's camp was sky-high. Malakai entered the fight an underdog, despite having finished Coleman in 27 seconds in their first fight, it was undeniable that Coleman had evolved as a fighter since their last meeting. The pressure didn't seem to phase Malakai, and he finished Coleman in remarkable fashion earning Fight of the Night honors.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Semerkhet cracks Coleman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Semerkhet throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Coleman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Semerkhet cracks Coleman with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Coleman tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Semerkhet pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Coleman is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malakai Semerkhet! http://mmatycoon.com/images/tinyaward.jpg
Malakai Semerkhet is the new featherweight champion! Malakai Semerkhet thanked the fans post fight for their support.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Improving to 11-3, Malakai had earned the support of the fans for his knockout power and aggressive style. Malakai would get his first submission victory in the first round of his next title defense. After the fight he was informed that he'd be facing Joaquim Antunes, again. Malakai was never more motivated, never more focused, he trained through the blood, sweat, and tears for this next fight with his rival. After being taken down quickly in the first round and controlled, Malakai would rock Antunes in the second round and knock him to the canvas twice, dominate the third round, only to be taken down and grounded and pounded for the duration of the fight, dropping another unanimous decision to his rival.

Malakai's morale couldn't be any lower, being bested by the same man yet again, was truly a lesson in humility for the Scorpion King. He'd recover quickly with the power of medical marijuana, and he vowed to improve his ground game. After another quick head kick knockout was added to his resume, he dominated Arnost Paskelev en-route to a unanimous decision, the first decision victory of his career. Paskelev was a teammate of Joaquim Antunes, and a win over the 11-2 hype train made him the front runner of the #1 contendership. His title fight would be put on hiatus, Malakai decided to pursue another venture as the Tycoon World Grappling Championships were open for competition, and he was eager to show off his grappling ability.

Malakai entered the 145 lbs Division 1 qualifier and his first opponent would be 3-1 TWGC veteran, red belt Ted Sheckler. Malakai would go on to upset the TWGC world and submit the red belt with a Triangle Armbar 10 minutes into the bout. His next opponent was 2-1 TWGC vet "The Degenerate Gambler" Bad Idea (33-17-1 MMA). Despite being known as an elite wrestler and having a black belt in BJJ, The Scorpion King would submit "The Degenerate Gambler" with a fantastic triangle choke. The hype train was riding high and his next opponent was none other than Joaquim Antunes in the TWGC finals. Mother fucking Joaquim Antunes. Of all the fighters, of all the opponents in the circuit, Antunes stood between him and the TWGC finals. Malakai went into the grappling match boasting an 0-3 MMA record vs the Portuguese fighter, and their grappling match would be no different, he lost 12-5 on points and was eliminated from the TWGC competition.

Mother. Fucking. Cock. Sucking. Joaquim. Antunes. Malakai was distraught. What in God's name was he supposed to do? Between MMA and TWGC he was 0-4 to him. He was simply out-classed by him on 4 separate occasions and it stung. At this point his manager Chris Karter was hurting from the humiliation just as much, if not more, than he was. Malakai returned to SPNY and the MMA scene as the number 1 contender, and do you know who the champion was?

Mother fucking Joaquim Antunes.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision.
Judge Joseph Jones scores the fight 44:47
Judge Jonathan Paton scores the fight 44:47
Judge David Schapiro scores the fight 44:47

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Malakai Semerkhet!

http://s4.postimg.org/c25iujyel/score_card.jpg

After being taken down and failing to secure any submissions in the first two rounds, Malakai showed impeccable takedown defense for the duration of the fight, stuffing 52 takedown attempts and landing carefully precise strikes. It wasn't that his rival's grappling ability looked diminished, Malakai's takedown defense was simply flawless, almost unbelievably perfect.

anyway, I got lazy. prolly won't finish this. anyway, moral of the entire story is... Malakai is facing Joaquim Antunes, again, at SPNY, for the FW title. it's one of the more interesting rivalries, albeit one-sided, in the featherweight division. might be the only rivalry in the featherweight divisions... unfortunately seems like rivalries these days are dead. well, Malakai is going to dominate agan.

SPNY 258: Semerkhet - Antunes 5

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malakai Semerkhet and Joaquim Antunes. Semerkhet comes to the cage accompanied by راقصة صغيرة. Joaquim Antunes comes out to Barbie Girl by Aquaman, a celebrity housewives favourite! I think he's my new favorite fighter! Now let's check out the tale of the tape.

http://s2.postimg.org/o42o1b6x5/1_deleter.jpg

"Antunes comes into the cage with 16 victories, 9 via tko or ko and a submission victory."

"Don't forget his TWGC submission over Antonio Camatta."

"Ah yes, Antonio Camatta. The Italian Olympic level wrestler who sports a red belt. A lot of hype around him."

"Indeed, and it was a very impressive rear naked choke for Antunes."

"Pure muscle. He's a freight train out there."

"Tenacious. And he's a wrecking ball on the ground too."

"Yeah he can really fuck you up down there."

"If anybody knows about that, it's Malakai."

"Oh, absolutely. He knows what Joaquim's ground and pound feels like. He was on the opposite side of some vicious beatings. They've fought 4 times in MMA, and the majority of the fights have been on the ground."

"Joaquim's not just cuddling with you down there, oh no, he's trying to beat you, and rape you."

"46 ground strikes landed in their first fight. 65 in their second. 40 in the third. And even though he went on to lose their last fight by decision, he still managed to land 25 ground strikes in the first two rounds."

"A fairly one-sided relationship."

"Somebody needs to call boner patrol because I'm fairly certain he enjoys this."

"To Malakai's credit, he's vastly improved his grappling ability. It's truly shown in his last several fights."

"He'll knock the ever-living snot out of ya if you let em, but he's looked really good on the ground lately. 3 of his last 4 fights have ended by submission."

"And not just any submission Joe. He's done some fancy BJJ stuff out there."

"Triangle, Americana, hell he even choked out a black belt."

"In style."

"Malakai's a warrior, and a finisher, he's finished 90% of his fights."

"And he has two submission victories in TWGC, thank god for fight metrics. Oh, the main event's about to start."

"Both of these guys are SPNY Hall of Famers. Both of them have been here before. This is the last time these guys ever throw down in SPNY, this is exciting."

"IT'S TIME!"

Um his last 3 opponents are far superior to Malakai's so I wouldn't say he's a can crusher. I'm scared would've sufficed but ok I will keep searching

"This is Jim at MMAJunkie.com, we just caught up with Malakai Semerkhet leaving the UFC building. How do you feel about Shortfuse's response?"

"Ha! My name is Malakai Semerkhet, I laugh in face of danger. I am Scorpion King and fear nothing. Wayne make big rapper money. Syn make big pay-per-view money. Tell Shortbus for one million dollars I will come to the Vegas and fight this Little Wayne."

Syn does not give into the demands of terrorists whose names we can't even pronounce! 1 million dollars for 1 fight is a ludacris request & a perfect out for a man not wanting a REAL fight. The politics of this move are brilliant & to be expected from a fighter with a crafty manager like CK.

If Malakai is looking to continue crushing cans like Lopez & Crane for large sums of cash we would advise trying GAMMA
