After consecutive losses at Lightweight, i made the choice to step down a weight division.

The weight cut was a little more than i am used to, but i felt good in there and it felt good to come away with the win. I felt really good out there and didn't take much damage so now it's back to Sully's for a nice drink before i prepare for my next opponent.

Hey guys

I haven't had much time to whip up a preview this week due to university deadlines and other stresses, so unfortunately Bushido 54 won't have one. It is still a great card though, and I can't wait to see how it plays out. I will post rankings update and such as normal once the event concludes.

Cheers.

Hey everyone how are you all doing??? Our boss was unfortunately unable to do a preview for this week's jam packed card, but with so many great fights i thought i would have a look at the fights and do a bonus edition of The Sully Show and give my thoughts for those of you who care.

Bushido 54: Quinn vs "Shaolin" is brought to you by the good people at RAGS of a RONIN and includes the semi-final fights of Road to Gold 2 - Bantamweight Brawl as well as an exciting Featherweight Title Fight! On to the fights:

presents:

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1495751452b54.png

The preliminary card are as follows:

Hillary Trump v Lahiru Samarakoon

Karl Nerlinger v Masa Sanada

Isamu Yamada v Max Roberts

Alexey Karasev v Seifer Almasy

Bushido 54: Quinn vs "Shaolin"

ROAD TO GOLD 2 - SEMI FINAL

Joseph "Joey-J" Jostrzebski v Gale Snoats

These two men meet in a rematch from the Infinity Team Master tournament where Joey J was a controversial finalist having come back as a wild card entry. Snoats has been on a tear since that win while Joey J was slowly gaining momentum for a rematch until his momentum was halted with 2 consecutive losses. In a classic striker v grappler fight i would say whoever can take the fight to their world will win. Fun fact: Snoats outstruck Jostrzebski in their last fight for the victory. Very tough fight but i think Joey should be able to get the upset in a very close and tough match to go to the finals.

ROAD TO GOLD 2 - SEMI FINAL

"Eazy E" Elijah Judah v "Magic" Mike McLaughlin

Two very tough bantamweights battling it out for the other finals spot. Judah has beaten everyone in his path in this tournament while McLaughlin's only stumble in this tournament was a decision loss against favourite Snoats. Judah has been very active in this tournament taking on all comers while McLaughlin has had what some people think to be an easy road with byes and cancelled fights. Both men are known to be knockout artists, but with so much on the line will they play it safe? This is another close one but if i had to choose i would say Eazy E should be able to take this out in a close fight.

Tony Bunker v Khabib "The Eagle" Nurmagomedov

Former Champion Bunker's only losses have come either in Title shots or against current Champ Vilson. He looks to add more wins to make his stake for another shot at the gold. Standing in his way is The Eagle who is looking to make a claim for a title shot himself, and what better way than to take out the former champ. Bunker has shown he can mix up his strikes and is comfortable on his feet, and while Nurmagomedov has shown that his GNP is deadly, Bunker is no slouch on the ground either. My verdict? While Bunker has shown he is comfortable on the ground, i would have to give the edge to The Eagle to wear down the former champ with strikes on the ground for the late TKO.

Gil "Bipolar" Jacobson v Louis Paterson

The Feathweight division is pretty stacked as another two young warriors look to make a statement. Both men are coming off losses with Paterson's last loss being a title shot. Both men love a good KO with Jacobson preferring the standup while Paterson likes to pound his victims on the ground. I think this will be a close back and forth fight, with Paterson managing the takedown late in the fight to grind out a close decision victory in the later rounds.

CO-MAIN EVENT - BUSHIDO FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT

Junior "Tarantula" Vilson © v Fernando Oliveira

The Champ is undefeated for a reason and he puts his belt on the line against Oliveira, who is on a nice little KO streak. The way I see the challenger taking the belt is if he continues what has been working and that is trapping his opponents in the clinch and wearing them out with punches before knocking them out. Many have tried that with the Champ and have failed, and while Oliveira is a tough young competitor i don't see this strategy working against Tarantula. He is Champ for a reason and i see him being able to work around the challenger's clinch and wearing him down to eventually earn the late TKO victory late in the fight against a worn down Oliveira to retain the belt. There will be little rest though as The Champ has a massive target on his back with lots of 145'ers knocking on the door!

MAIN EVENT

Jaxon "Ruthless" Quinn v He "Shaolin" Mu

The Main Event sees Quinn taking on former Champ Mu in a Light-Heavyweight showdown. Quinn is making his Bushido debut and he does so against former Champion Shaolin who is looking to bounce back after losing his Belt. Neither men have gone to a decision in their career with both men either knocking out their opponents or being knocked out themselves, so expect fireworks in this one! Having said that, both men are coming off KO losses and while both men are dangerous in their own right, i think the former Champ Mu will be too much for Quinn to handle on his debut and take out the early KO victory.

That my friends is my thoughts on the upcoming card! For all you people watching in Tokyo, be sure to drop in to RAGS of a RONIN for your official Bushido 武士道 merchandise!!

And for all you fighters sponsored by RoaR, be sure to send out a shout out to them post fight!!

As always you can always come to Sully's Bar & Grill for the best nutrition available at affordable prices!

Until next time

Train hard :training2:

Fight hard :boxing:

Play hard :drunk:

And as always,

Bushido 54: Quinn vs. Shaolin event recap

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1495751452b54.png

Appearing as one of our biggest events ever on paper, Bushido 54 not only lived up to expectations - it exceeded them. With not a single seat left empty, the event had an attendance of 7000, making it the most visited event along with Bushido 51. The card would also earn an incredible event rating of 285.86 (our second highest to date), propelling us back into the top 10 ranked organisations globally. It would also be our third highest ticket revenue so far, as well as our third highest in fighter pay.
The Main Event would witness "Shaolin" Mu smash his way back into the win column with a brutal Knockout victory over company newcomer Jaxon Quinn. The Co-Main Event featured none other than the dominant Featherweight King Junior Vilson as he earned his 4th straight title defense - tying the record previously set by Benson Whyte - with his one-sided victory over challenger Fernando Oliveira. Another huge Featherweight bout graced the main card as star Gil Jacobson earned a majority decision against former Champion Louis Paterson. Also, Tony Bunker managed to edge his way closer to another shot at gold as he dispatched up-and-coming prospect Khabib Nurmagomedov in the second round.
The semi-finals of the Road to Gold - Bantamweight Brawl tournament took place this evening as Mike McLaughlin earned his place in the finals with a close decision victory over veteran Elijah Juddah. The latter expressed his displeasure with the decision, but agreed that he should not have let the fight go the distance. In the second semi-final bout, Gale Snoats choked Joey Jostrzebski into submission after a dominant performance. Now, the finals will be between McLaughlin and Snoats, with the winner becoming Bushido's first ever Bantamweight Champion.

Round 3

Almasy lands a big right hand that sends Karasev crashing to the mat! Almasy stays standing though and waves Karasev back to his feet!

Almasy walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Karasev drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Almasy swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Karasev's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Seifer Almasy!

Fight Rating - 84%

So apparently the org owner doesn't consider my instant classic bout with Karasev to be worth of the Fight Of The Night award. Not even a mention of it in the Event Recap. Don't worry boss, I won't forget this indiscretion.

Irvine Kinneas

9-0-0

9 (T)KO victories

Former AFL Light Heavyweight champion

It’s been a tough upbringing for Kinneas. While standing now as a man with the world at his feet, in order to reach those levels he had to overcome a lot of adversity in his life.

While his memory of his childhood is foggy, he remembers being born in Denmark before moving to a different country with a completely different culture and lifestyle due to a sequence of Danish emigration to the east. He would find his life turned upside down however when, during a civil war, the Danish community in this new country torn to shreds due to being caught between the two rivalling factions. All the adults were slaughtered, none were left to live, while the children were taken into custody.

Being just 7 years old, his hosts taught him to how to fight, due to their policy of using children in their war also. While he learned how to fight in the style of Muay Thai, he was also trained to bear a weapon, showing particular fondness for guns. Regardless of the gun, Kinneas was a natural with it, but he would show a particular affection for Sniper rifles.

He was already a trained killer as a child, but soon his captors demanded more from him. Regardless of how well he did in the fighting, he would still be beat and locked away with the other Danish children. Finally, two years after his world was turned upside down, the war was over, and with it, his usefulness to his captors. He was sent on a boat back to Europe, his destination uncertain

The boat trip was tough. The lack of food meant often times the children would scrounge for anything they could find. Rats, discarded bits of food, anything they could get their hands on. When he was losing hope of ever seeing civilization again, the sailors announced that there was land on the horizon.

Stepping off the boat, he was brought along with the rest of the children to a local orphanage. After the horror of what had happened to him, Kinneas was a quiet child in the orphanage, which houses over 100 kids. He would however make friends with 2 other kids there – Zell Dincht and Seifer Almasy.

As he got older, Kinneas returned to a reminder of his time in the East. He would start training at a local gym in the style of Muay Thai once more, and from there he found out the city he was living in was called London.

Fast forward to him when he had just turned 18 and was moving out of the orphanage, he signed up to local MMA tryouts that were being held by London based manager Grant Brophy. He impressed hugely, winning with a first round Head Kick. After the bout, Brophy offered him a management contract which Kinneas accepted.

Now living in London permanently, and training at the Trinity Gym, Kinneas has evolved into a powerhouse fighter, showing a Granite Chin while winning all 8 of his fights since then by (T)KO while capturing and defending the AFL Light Heavyweight championship. This has led to Brophy calling Kinneas the brightest prospect on his roster for the future, and now he has an upcoming fight for the Bushido Light Heavyweight title against Krystian Soszynski, a man with an 8-2 record with 7 (T)KO victories. While he has demonstrated stunning power much like Kinneas, he has both of his losses coming by way of TKO. His boxing is some of the best in all of Bushido however, and it will be interesting to see the clash of styles when they both step foot in the arena to fight.

Bushido 55: Mayhem vs. Aokison

Main Card Preview

http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1496405254bushido55.png

Main Event

Featured Light-Heavyweight Bout

Bryan "The Moving Door" Mayhem (15-1-0, 1-0-0 Bushido) vs. Ryu "11th Planet" Aokison (9-2-0, 1-1-0 Bushido)

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32w40.jpg http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14742652031134.jpg

On June 3rd, Tokyo's Sakku Dome will welcome the return of some of the greatest Light-Heavyweight fighters of this generation. Among them are the two parts of the Main Event, Manchester's own Bryan Mayhem and Japanese grappling sensation Ryu Aokison. With both men ranked #3 and #4 in the division, they are only inches away from contesting for the title and one good performance tonight may just earn either man that opportunity.

Thirty year-old Mayhem has had an incredible career thus far and has earned a number of achievements wherever he has found himself. Once the Champion of Arena Fighting Championship and Dissolution Fighting Championship respectively, the English veteran is certainly used to high-stakes matches and tonight is no different. The key to "The Moving Door"'s success is his exceptional Wrestling and its evident from every one of his past fights, as he is known for consistently taking down and mauling opponents with relative ease. Once the Englishman has dragged his opponent to the floor, he smashes them to bits with dangerous ground and pound - a tactic that only two men have ever survived, let alone overcome. A statement to the power that Mayhem possesses. Now, he faces the toughest test of career yet as he meets possibly the greatest grappler in Bushido to date.

From the other side of the world hails Japanese prospect Ryu Aokison, who will be looking to prove he belongs at the top of the division with a win over Mayhem. Although Aokison has never yet had the opportunity to fight for a Championship belt, being the #3 ranked in the division has him knocking at the door. "11th Planet" is a grappling sensation whose world class Wrestling and brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu have earned him a number of slick submission victories, eight in total. Aokison employs the same gameplan in each of his fights, which is to take his opponent down and catch them in whatever submission presents itself. With both men this evening being grapplers from two different sides of the same coin, we can be sure that this fight will take place predominantly on the mat and the victor will be the fighter than can better impose his will.

Co-Main Event

Light-Heavyweight Championship Bout

Krystian "Polish Hooligan" Soszynski (8-2-0, 6-0-0 Bushido) vs. Irvine "The Sharpshooter" Kinneas (9-0-0, 1-0-0 Bushido)

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14553313898707.png http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14621932403138.jpg

http://mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20160419233025belto.png

Looking to defend his belt for a second time is none other than Light-Heavyweight king Krystian Soszynski who has shown no signs of slowing down since making his debut many moons ago. Back on Bushido 48, the "Polish Hooligan" captured the belt - as well as the hearts of fans - with an easy win over then-dominant Champion Sam McCullen, and has since gone on to defend the belt once against top 205er He Mu. When it comes to Soszynski's style of fighting, Boxing is the name of the game, and it is undoubtedly the single greatest aspect of his skill-set. The young star has out-struck every man he has faced in recent times, and has never appeared to be in any sort of danger whilst doing so. Soszynski sometimes enjoys fighting in close clinch exchanges and is not always Boxing from range, which makes him an exceptionally dangerous opponent in all areas of the stand up game. Soszynski will have to show the challenger just how far apart they are in Boxing if he wants to retain his belt this evening.

Standing opposite the Champion will be the former DFC and AFL title-holder and Trinity Gym representee Irvine Kinneas - a man that has some people already calling him the brightest 205er on the Bushido roster. Overcoming a dark and unfortunate childhood, Kinneas has found his fair share of success in the World of Mixed Martial Arts as he has won all of his 9 fights via (T)KO and has not yet suffered a single blemish on his record. A hard chin, heavy hands and incredible Muay Thai are the main ingredients to the Kinneas special, and the only areas of his game that can be called into question are his Boxing and BJJ. The latter won't be a problem in this match up, but the "The Sharpshooter" will have to make sure that his Muay Thai skills can elevate to the level of the Champion's Boxing so that they may go even on the feet. One thing that the challenger has over his opponent is the fact that his offense is far more varied, as Kinneas enjoys throwing both punches and kicks from all sorts of ranges.

Main Card

Featured Middleweight Bout

Benson "Golden Lion" Whyte (10-2-0, 10-2-0 Bushido) vs. Rosco "The Gentleman" Ladd (4-0-0, Bushido Debut)

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14583228391499.gif http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41w35.jpg

When news of the Middleweight division reopening spread, one man unsurprisingly took interest more than others. Former Middleweight king and five-time Champion Benson Whyte will be moving back up to his familiar weightclass after an unsuccessful title contention at Welterweight. The young Jamaican dominated the 185 lb division during his time there, and still holds the record for most consecutive title defences out of anyone in the Bushido roster. This is all in the past however, as Whyte now needs to earn another shot at the belt he once held so dearly. Originally a one-dimensional Boxer, young "Golden Lion" has developed a respectable Muay Thai game in recent times, which has elevated his offense to a new level. Whyte will do what he normally does this evening, which is work his opponent over with punches and kicks both at range and in the clinch, whilst actively avoiding any grappling exchanges or takedowns. A win this evening will put Whyte in the right place to challenge the new Middleweight Champion Khalid Mamedov, so the pressure is all on him.

Making his Bushido debut this evening is Rosco Ladd, an American fighter who like the aforementioned Irvine Kinneas, is a former competitor for both DFC and AFL. Coming into this fight, Ladd is the less experienced of the two but he has unmatched confidence in that he has never lost inside of the cage. The American uses his exceptional Boxing coupled with explosive power to batter and beat his opponents, which is evident by the fact most of Ladd's wins have come from a knockout of sorts. Incredibly athletic and a cardio machine is "The Gentleman", and it may make up for the fact that he is both the shorter and heavier man this evening. We can expect a classic stand up brawl between both of these men, with the winner possibly earning a shot at Championship gold. Will Benson Whyte edge closer to regaining his crown, or will company newcomer Rosco Ladd play the upset? We will find out soon enough.

Thanks for reading!

Bushido 55: Mayhem vs. Aokison

Event Recap

http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1496405254bushido55.png

As you all know, this evening Tokyo's Sakku dome bore witness to one of Bushido's biggest events to date as a star-studded line up battled it out to prove their worth. In the Main Event of the evening, Manchester's Bryan Mayhem knocked out the younger man in Ryu Aokison in a performance which may have earned him a title-shot. The Co-Main Event welcomed back dominant Light-Heavyweight King Krystian Soszynski as he defended his strap for the second time - showing his clinching skills with a quick and easy win over Irvine Kinneas. Former Middleweight Champion Benson Whyte made his return to his division in style, with a spinning backfist KO over company newcomer Rosco Ladd.

Didn't give this event the love it deserved, and that's mostly to do with the mail I sent out earlier. With summer approaching, my schedule will free up and things should start looking good again.

Bushido 58: Soszynski vs. Mayhem

Event Recap

http://i.imgur.com/NI4EswK.png

fock, dickinson's name should be red

This evening, over six thousand attendees at downtown Tokyo's Saku Dome bore witness to one of the biggest events in company history as Bushido 58: Soszynski vs. Mayhem took place. Stacked top to bottom with current Kings, former Champions, perennial contenders and future stars alike, it is no surprise that Bushido 58 became the highest ranked event we have held to date. Also setting the record for highest ticket revenue.

In the Main Event, Light-Heavyweight King Krystian Soszynski earned his third consecutive title defence and extending his winning streak to 10 as he put an end to the rise of Manchester's own Bryan Mayhem. The Co-Main Event told a different story, as the dominant Featherweight Champion Junior Vilson found himself hearing "And New" after a five round war with now-Champion Gil Jacobson. Two former 145-lb belt holders re-matched as Tony Bunker quickly dispatched David Dickinson, announcing his move to 135 with a bang. Other notable wins were picked up for: Ralph Gardner, Jalaluddin Aziz and Louis Paterson.

Roppongi Vice:
It was 4:34 am and Aspire CEO Adam Holland was laid back in his office, feet up on the maple wood desk, cigar in one hand with a scotch sitting not far from his free hand as he conducted some less than regular business at this most ungodly of hours, he was calling the Bushido offices to arrange for accommodation and 'comforts' for his fighters ahead of what was set to be Aspire's first trip across the ocean towards his final destination, the Tokyo Bowl, for Aspire 50: McGee vs Gracie,

isLj7igTS26K25_M4ZxPtg.png

The Call:
Adam: Masami, that's great, tell Mr Rei I thank him for his continued support and friendship, it means a great deal to us his American partners, we hope our arrangement is very prosperous for both parties...

Masami Asano: Reiさんは100%あなたをサポートしています

Adam: That's fantastic Masami, please arrange for a fleet of cars of the finest quality to escort my roster to the Roppongi district for some R&R when we land, it's a long flight you know!

Masami Asano: 絶対にオランダ人

Adam: I cannot stress this enough, I cannot have any media around my boy's, they like to get a little... wild when they are out the country, I can't have any of this getting back to the American media, is that something you can take care of?

Masami Asano: メディアが安らかになる

Adam: Fantastic! then inform Mr Rei that our stage crew will be in touch in regards to picking up the old Bushido cage and we will have it right back to you in pristine condition the morning after the event, we really appreciate you all taking good care of us, it was going to cost an absolute fortune to fly that god damn cage over that ocean. Say, how much is this going to cost me?

Masami Asano: レイ氏は50万円

Adam: How much ?!?!? Alright, I'll take it, but when you guy's come to the states I'm going to charge you double and you're going to like it!

Masami Asano: ありがとう、最高経営責任者オランダ

Placing the phone down and relaxing back into his seat Adam looked out across the skyline of Los Angeles and said to himself "Tokyo, were coming for you."

Bushido 59: Wright vs. Black

Main Card Preview

Main Card

Featured Lightweight Bout

Cody Chalke (11-3-0, 2-2 Bushido) vs. Khabib "The Eagle" Nurmagomedov (10-2-1, 1-1-1 Bushido)

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14598583159219.png http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14630529119663.jpg

Opening up the Main Card this evening are two Featherweight standouts as London's Cody Chalke is set to take on none other than Russian powerhouse Khabib Nurmagomedov. This is a huge fight between the #3 and #4 ranked fighters in the division, and if either man makes a statement this evening they may find themselves right in the title picture.

After beginning his Bushido career on a sour note, Cody Chalke has seen nothing but success since dropping down a division to Featherweight, as he has picked up knockout wins against Sergey Nevzlin and Rami Astalo. With 11 career wins and 8 of them coming via finish, the young Brit is clearly a man that doesn't like to leave it in the hands of the judges - an attribute that has made him into a popular figure. When it comes to his skill-set, Chalke is rather well-rounded but it is no secret that his strengths are his exceptional Boxing and sensational Wrestling, making him a danger on the mat as well as on the feet. Although Cody enjoys to mix in takedowns with his strikes, I feel that he may want to avoid this strategy as he comes up against a far better grappler this evening.

Attaining a somewhat unusual record of 1-1-1 since fighting under the Bushido banner, Khabib Nurmagomedov - otherwise known as The Eagle - will hope to use his talons to claw his way back into the win column this evening. Much like his upcoming opponent, the Makhachkala native is also fond of finishing - with 9 of his 10 career coming by way of stoppage, the majority being submissions. One place where these two men differ however is their skill-set, as Nurmagomedov is predominantly a grappler with exceptional Wrestling and a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, although he too has not neglected honing his striking. One can assume that Khabib will work to take this fight to the floor where he can make use of his advantage in BJJ, seeking out submission opportunities where available.

Main Card

Featured Bantamweight Bout

"Magic" Mike McLaughlin (8-3-0, 2-2-0 Bushido) vs. Elijah "Eazy E" Judah (10-4-0, 10-4-0 Bushido)

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13935304139872.jpg http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14698438511701.jpg

In the second fight of the Main Card we will welcome the return of two Road to Gold alumni as a rematch between Americans Mike McLaughlin and Elijah Judah is set to take place. The pair first met back on Bushido 51 where they would face off in the Road to Gold Semi-finals, in a bout that would become one of the greatest fights in Bushido history.

With his only career losses in the last four years coming from no other than our Bantamweight Champion Gale Snoats, Mike McLaughlin has proven that he is an elite fighter, and a problem for anyone in the 135 lb weight-class. Knocking out then-undefeated Harry Daebek and walking away victorious from his war with Elijah Judah are two feats that are a testament to that. McLaughlin is primarily a Boxer but also boasts some fantastic Wrestling skills which he uses as both offensive and defensive tools - for clinching as well as suppressing takedown attempts. It will be interesting to see if Mike decides to only strike from a distance, or whether he will mix up his game by creating some dirty-boxing exchanges like he did in the first fight. Although rocked in their first meeting, "Magic" has shown to have the heart of a lion, which when coupled with his KO power, makes him a difficult opponent for anyone.

Across from McLaughlin will stand long-time Bushido veteran, two-time Road to Gold participant and former Lightweight title contender Elijah Judah as he looks to get revenge against the man that put an end to his six-fight winning streak. Since making his debut way back on Bushido 2, Judah has had a great career in the company thus far, going 10 and 4 in his past fourteen bouts - also earning five "of the night" bonuses during this time. Like his opponent, "Eazy E" is quite a well-rounded fighter but there is one part of his game that shines most, his Boxing. Paired with his Granite Chin and great power for his weight, Judah is a forced to be reckoned with when it comes to stand up exchanges, as one mistake can cost the opponent their consciousness. This fight will be a barn-burner like the first one, so do not miss it.

Co-Main Event

Lightweight Championship Bout

Clarence Van Gaal (10-2-0, 2-0-0) vs. Koh "Crazy" Ibu (7-1-0, 2-0-0)

http://i.imgur.com/OIFSz0z.png

The Co-Main Event of the evening is another rematch as the blond-bearded Bushido Lightweight Champion Clarence Van Gaal looks to earn a second title defence as he once again faces off against Japanese phenom Koh Ibu. The pair last clashed under a different banner, where the two put on an incredible performance in one of the highest rated 5 round fights of recent times. Late in the fifth round, Van Gaal scored a fantastic headkick KO win after losing the previous four rounds. An upset like no other.

The Dutchman, Van Gaal made his promotional debut in the Main Event of Bushido 53 where he fought and subsequently defeated then-dominant Champion Jalaluddin Aziz, claiming his throne as he did so. The Amsterdam native went on to defend his belt against grappling sensation Marcio Alvarez, knocking him out cold in the very first round. Van Gaal is one of the most skilled fighters on the roster, boasting sensational Boxing, Muay Thai and Wrestling skills as well as a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It is no surprise that he has not lost a fight since he was just twenty years old. Van Gaal employs a mixed gameplan where he uses both punches and kicks, from all sorts of ranges and is never shy to take the fight into the clinch - although he does tend to avoid grappling exchanges where possible. In this bout, expect this Dutchman to do what his countrymen do best, which is to put on a striking exhibition.

Hoping to seek revenge for the only blemish on his professional record, Koh "Crazy" Ibu will step through the ropes this evening with a fire in his eye and the nation of Japan shouting his name. Since putting pen to paper not too long ago, Koh Ibu has shone under our promotion - picking up notable wins over veteran Ao Ki and top Lightweight Nikolai Kuznetsov. Although only slightly behind his opponent when it comes to striking skills, Koh Ibu definitely has the stronger ground-game as he has earned a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, making him one of the few men in Bushido's ranks to have done so. Despite this, Ibu has never taken a fight to the mat and instead relies on his heavy hands and lethal kicks to defeat opponents in Kickboxing and clinch exchanges. It has worked more often than not, and we can expect him to fight the same way this evening.

Will the Lightweight strap change hands, or will this be a re-run of their first bout? Find out by tuning in!

Main Event

Welterweight Championship Bout

"Crazy" Ira Wright (11-1-0, 3-0-0 Bushido) vs. Jason Black (10-6-1, 3-1-1 Bushido)

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14611773858868.png http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/17/17w7.jpg

http://mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20160419233025belto.png

The Main Event of the evening is set to be a fantastic one, as the #1 P4P fighter in the 290k+ ID bracket - Bushido's reigning, defending, Welterweight Champion looks to make history once again, with a win over former DFC and UFL Champion Jason Black. This bout pits together two of the best in the world at this weight-class together, in a fight that will no doubt live up to all expectations.

In the red corner will stand the potentially once-in-a-generation fighter Ira Wright as he looks to defend his Bushido belt for a third time, bringing his total career title defence count up to seven. With notable wins such as Andrey Lobtov (twice), former Middleweight Champion Benson Whyte, and former Welterweight Champions Erick Darko and Amr Al As - his resume speaks for itself. With incredible Boxing as well as fantastic Muay Thai and Wrestling skills, it is no surprise that Ira Wright has had the success he has had so far. The Champion employs a similar strategy in almost all of his fights; as he constantly presses forward, stalking opponents with unrelenting offense, firing off shots as accurate as they are heavy. It will be no surprise if Wright does the same this evening. With everyone expecting the Champion to walk away victorious there must be unimaginable pressure on Ira's shoulders, but hopefully it does not affect him in this wonderful Main Event.

Hoping to play upset, and also no stranger to success is London's own Jason Black - a man that has shared the arena with some of the same fighters as our Champion, including Pavel Savkov and the aforementioned Erick Darko. After losing on his promotional debut, Jason Black has turned the tides by earning impressive victories over great competition in Momochi Hanzo, Tyler Antonew and - again - former Champion Erick Darko. Black is a well-rounded fighter that like his opponent this evening, isn't shy to fight in all areas of the stand up game from punching and kicking from a distance, to up close and personal in the clinch. Whilst he does not seem to have the heaviest hands on the roster, no one can deny that Black is a very skilled striker - and Ira Wright will need to not underestimate him this evening as it could spell disaster.

Will we see the crowning of Bushido's Eighth Welterweight Champion, or will Wright tie Jukka Toskala's record in the division's title defences? Soon, all questions will be answered.

Thanks for reading!

Bushido 60: Soszynski vs. Okah 2

The Main Event of the evening is one to get excited about, folks! For only the second time in company history, two of our current Champions will face off in a rematch that will prove who is superior once and for all. Light-Heavyweight top dog Krystian Soszynski is set to defend his belt to none other than former foe and Heavyweight Champion Ghazi Okah. The two first met back in the undercard of Bushido 40, when neither man held a belt and both hadn't lost under the Bushido banner. After a close three round battle, Soszynski walked away the winner.
With three title defences to his name as well as an unblemished company record, Poland's Krystian Soszynski has shown no signs of slowing down as of late - and a win this evening will see the Sosnowiec-native tie the title defence record currently held by Junior Vilson and Benson Whyte. Its fitting that the only person to give Soszynski somewhat of a hard time in the ring was Ghazi Okah, as he has ran through every other fighter he has faced. Constantly regarded as one of the best Boxers in the company - and rightfully so - Soszynski will look to fire off his deadly hands and add another KO to his resume. Comfortable up and close and personal in clinch exchanges as well as striking with punches and kicks from a distance, The Polish Hooligan has a whole arsenal of weapons at his disposal. Soszynski will need to use his elite Boxing to dictate the pace, and will have to stay wary of the tricks that his opponent has hidden up his sleeves this evening.
Also a Champion in his own right is the recently crowned Heavyweight King Ghazi Okah, who will be looking to not only right his only recent wrong, but to add a second world Championship belt to his collection. Since losing in their last meeting, the Ghanaian also known as "Burnt" went on a killing-spree in the Light-Heavyweight division, picking up wins over former contenders Sven Svensson and Jansen Verhoeven before accepting a title-shot in the division above. After putting an end to the reign of Andrey Kuznetcov, Okah turned his sights to his original weightclass where he found himself rematch with Soszynski. The Heavyweight Champion seems to have the advantage over his opponent in all areas apart from Boxing as he is probably the most well-rounded fighter on our roster. Punches, kicks, takedowns and submissions are all weapons he has demonstrated in the ring, making this youngster a dangerous opponent for anyone.
Will Okah become the second man to capture two belts consecutively? Or will this fight end like the first did? Tune in, and find out.
Co-Main Event

The Co-Main Event of the evening will welcome back two of the most popular fighters in our promotion, let alone their division - as two-time headliner Jaxon Quinn faces off against former title contender Bryan Mayhem. A win tonight most likely won't grant the victor a title-shot as it takes more to do so in such a stacked division, but that isn't to say that either man is very far off. Either way, this is a fight to get excited about as both competitors bring the heat.
Fighting out of Las Angeles USA is none other than Jaxon Quinn - the former Urban Troops Heavyweight and Rebirth FC Super-Heavyweight Champion. Although not off to a great start since signing with Bushido, "Ruthless" remains one of the more liked fighters in our company due to his kill or be killed attitude once in the ring. Always coming forward and ever trying to overpower his opponents, Quinn either knocks them out or finds himself on the canvas, often early. Unsurprisingly he has never gone the distance, win or lose. The American will no doubt do the same as he always does this evening, and may find himself with another KO victory added to his record, or a fourth straight KO loss.
Opposite Quinn will stand thirty year-old former DFC and AFC Light-Heavyweight Champion, Bryan Mayhem. After only just suffering the second loss of his career at the hands of the aforementioned Soszynski, "The Moving Door" must be eager to get back to his winning ways of old. To do so, the Manchester-native must use his exceptional Wrestling to control the opposition with takedowns and clinches, like he has done so many times before. With heavy hands and a yet-to-be-cracked chin, Mayhem is not an easy fight for anyone in the organisation, and the fact he managed to take two rounds off of the division king is a testament to such. I believe Mayhem will shoot for a takedown where he can exploit Quinn's weaker ground game, but I also do not feel that the former contender will be afraid of keeping the fight standing either.

Bushido 60: Soszynski vs. Okah 2

Event Recap

http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1499285044BUSHIDO%2060.png

History was made in downtown Tokyo today as Bushido 60 came to an end. The Main Event was a clash of two Champions in a rematch like never before, as Ghazi Okah became the second man in Bushido history to hold two belts at once, with his split decision win over the dominant Champion Krystian Soszynski. The Co-Main Event saw Jaxon Quinn go the distance for the first time in his career, but it was after being completely dominated by Bryan Mayhem. In the Light-Heavyweight division ocne again, Lee Date put an end to the short winning streak of Ralph Gardner, Knocking him out in the very first round. Finally, the Main Card was opened with yet another 205 lb clash as former title contender and Bushido 1 headliner Seung-Jin Bailey announced his return to the company with the 59-second dispatching of grappling sensation Ryu Aokison.

The event was an entertaining one to say the least, and the results were as follows:

To follow, an update in the rankings as well as a special announcement regarding Hall of Fame inductees will be part of a press conference held by Aidan O'Neil.
