bjornmma1
I know that this fight isn't going to happen soon, even with Garbrandt winning the title in impressive fashion against Cruz, but who do you see winning this fight and how? I only just now saw the fight Cruz vs Garbrandt and it was the most entertaining fight I have seen in a very long time. Garbrandt is one hell of a fighter and impressed me a lot. I assumed he only had a puncher's chance, but hell was I wrong...! 2
Guest
McGregor. Can people stop fucking asking for those "superfights" there's nothing super about it. Everyone is now winning the belt and going "I won't fight top contenders, I only want superfights". Divisions are held up hostage, interim titles are given left and right, soon even Joe Rogan will have an interim belt. This is a sad time for ufc now I'm afraid. From a business standpoint they're rising, but to a fan it's becoming harder and harder to watch.
Timqwe
9 1/2 inch reach disadvantage. It wouldn't even be close
MasterLeader
Yeah McGregor will be way too strong for Garbrandt, much like if Garbrandt fought Mighty Mouse it would be the other way round

Agreed on both points, Conor has the better technical striking along with being taller and longer and probably more power. Maybe in a few years Cody can close the gap though. As for the superfights I feel the same way. Guys are fucking bitching about them(fighters and fans) as soon as a guy wins the belt. Clean out the division then you can get a super fight. Before the garbrandt fight the only super fight I would accept was mm/cruz but at this point only mm deserves that right. Fucking aldo wants to go up and get ragdolled by khabib after getting a title he didn't even earn. Then we got Woodley and bisping wanting to fight each other when they have like 5 challengers each and fucking nick Diaz isn't one of them(I know they both want him). I know they want more money but defeating all challengers and building yourself up as a dominant p4p champ(gsp, Silva, jones) and then fighting another guy that has done the same would make far more money than just two guys with belts fighting when for the most part most of us don't believe they will hold onto for very long. Sorry for the long rant but this shit is really fucking infuriating. That's why I love khabib turning Down Aldo and gunning for ferguson.
Mentor
There is a lot of cherry picking for sure. Conor will likely win the fight against Cody if they booked this.
kenlow73
Cody would win
Rei
Would be Conor's easiest fight since Marcus Brimage
MasterLeader
Cody vs DJ would be more interesting but Cody would win this
kenlow73
Cody would school Conor worse than Cruz because Conor is overrated.

Cody wants Aldo, Aldo wants McGregor, McGregor potentailly wants Woodley, woodley wants Bisping or McGregor, Bisping wants Woodley (?). It's a fucking mess. And then you have people like Ferguson who won't fight Khabib becuase he wants more money - you have a contract dude, you signed it and agreed to what you are getting paid - now fight. I understand that UFC under pays a lot of fighters but if you sign it honor it.

I don't know why they won't just give Fergusson want he wants to fight Khabib, they gave Rousey a whole lot more than Nunez and we saw what happened there. And don't forget Dillashaw probably wants Cody now that he has the belt.

Unfortunately that's the way it goes. Also, I know dillashaw wants cody... I was talking about who champs want to fight.
stpierrecanada
Cody vs Cruz was one of the best fights I've seen in a long time, I loved it and would totally be for a rematch for Cruz or vs Dillashaw. In the future I can see Cody being on Conor's level potentially, skill wise, he is real young and improving drastically. the size is too much though, a 10 inch reach advantage and Cody's willingness to exchange and walk forward would just spell out disaster for Cody in this particular match. And I'm real drunk so if this doesn't make sense I'm sorry, lol.
Mentor
Dillashaw vs Cody will be good. I also agree with stpierrecanada, i think Cody has the chance of becoming a big draw because he has KO power, fights intelligently (as he showed in the last fight), he is still very young and has a personality which appeals. I think he needs at least one big win over someone like Dillashaw before he can start demanding a fight with Conor. I also think Conor vs Cody will be an interesting smack talk.
Guest
Mcgregor no question only person who's beat him recently was a guy who weighs 170 who was a late replacement. No one can stand with him which garbrant will try to do 1

Imo, a super fight can only occur when you have 2 guys who've been champs in their respective weight classes for a while and have cleaned out their divisions, or, if they're not champs, they've a at least beaten enough top guys and generated enough hype around themselves to justify the title of super fight. gleun1016
McGregor by 1st round TKO He will do the same thing he did to Alvarez I think he will get into his head The only person that gave McGregor trouble was Diaz and Cody is nothing like him
Mentor
Diaz mostly caused him problems due to his size + granite chin, i think Cody has a pretty good chin as well though, so god knows.
