Here's how it works. This tournament is based off managers, not fighters. We don't want you to sign fighters up for this but rather, sign managers up for this. Only managers who rank in the top 10% are eligible to participate. This will truly be a test to see who the best manager is. Each manager can create upto 2 fighters for this tournament. However, only 1 of them will finally take part in it. This is just to avoid getting completely shit hiddens if you care about that. Once we have either 8 or 16 managers signed up, we'll set a date in the future. All managers will have to make a new fighter either ON or AFTER that date. You can make your fighter any age, thats part of the strategy. After that date, fighters will be given 2 months to train and get upto a couple of fights in (preferably QFC's but if you can get just 2 fights with an org, you can do that too). This is mostly for you to be able to see hidden's of your fighter so you can pick which of the two you want in the tournament. You are allowed to base your fighters ANYWHERE in the world, just as long as they reach Hilo when the time comes to fight. You're free to utilize any resources you have to make sure you create the best fighter possible. All fighters have to be in the 145lb weight class. So let me recap all this, 16 top 10% managers will create a fighter at the exact same time, getting 2 months to train wherever they want to finally battle it out to see who the best manager is. The finals of the tournament shall be a title fight, for those who are motivated by things like that. A rough estimation of the dates is as follows: 4th October - Signups thread. 25th October - Fighter creation. 1st Jan - A new year, a new level of competition, the first event. and we move on from there. To register, please post in this thread and make sure that you'll have at least 1 fighter slot open by fighter creation time. I would personally make 2 fighters and depending on who's got better hiddens, send that one in for the tournament. As for the money offered, I'll work out those details and post them soon. Thats essentially irrelevant though, this one is all about pride. Apart from ingame money, we're going to be buying the winner 6-months VIP! Power to the managers! Also, this'll be first come first serve for everyone but people in the top 500, who will be given priority! FYI, top 10% are eligible, thats top 1000 managers not top 10 (as someone misread already!) Some information for you guys: We'll be taking the top 16 or 32 managers who register. Matches will be based on seeding by manager rank, so if all the 'favorites' win, you should see the top 2 guys in the finals even though we all know that this is such a good field that there really are no favorites! Additionally, Matty mentioned an important thing to me. By Jan, BFC should be well-established and running a complete 0-0 card may not be a good thing for us. So, I'd request that you get your guys to do a couple of QFC's or fights elsewhere just to get them to a decent level! If you want an extra couple of weeks over the 2 months for this, tell me now and I'll push the event date to Jan 15th or something. I'm hoping to hit 32 managers so lets hope that works out Anyway, I will close signups by the 15th so if you want in, make sure you register by then.
