SyFi 64 PREVIEW:

Ikki Takeda: We have a night of fights in the home of Schooner's Bar on Saturday. Main event is a 170 pound title fight between Gideon Navarro (7-1) and Steve Collins (6-0). On paper it should be short night for the defending champion as he is better than Collins in every way. But in a fight everyone has a boxers chance as the old saying goes which is pretty fitting for the boxer challenger. My pick is and still by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The Co-main is a 170 pound fight that might have some title implications as Kevin Daughtrey(8-1) fights Ingo Butzhammer(5-0). Kevin is a muay thai specialist who's only loss was by submission to former champion Mike Johnson. Butzhammer is also a muay thai specialist who typically takes his opponents into deep waters and wins by decision. My prediction is Daughtrey by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The third fight on the Main Card might quite possibly have title implications as well as Zedidiah Goldberg(4-0) fights Victor Creed(5-0). Goldberg is a striker with the power to get to the toughest chins in the world. He knocks everyone out. Creed is on a quest to find his brother and is savagely destroying everyone as he does it. He also the least hit guy in the division only having a total of 12 strikes land against him through 5 fights and that includes ground strikes.

Ikki Takeda: I have Victor Creed here with me.

Victor Creed: Where is James?

Ikki Takeda: Calm down and let's talk about the fight?

Victor Creed: What fight? All I know is I have someone to beat information out of to find James.

Ikki Takeda: What about your training at Colossus Gym?

Victor Creed: I've already beat people up there they don't know where James is.

Ikki Takeda: Have you heard anything about James?

Victor Creed: He lives here in Sydney somewhere and is fighting in Brazil though.

Ikki Takeda: Well we have someone here for you.

James Howlett: Hi there bub.

Victor Creed: James! So glad to see you brother!

James Howlett: Yes I'm here so calm down bub.

Victor Creed: Now I will beat Goldberg even worse than I have beaten anyone for you James.

James Howlett: Then I will be in your corner and when I say enough you stop got it bub.

Ikki Takeda: Hey this is my show and if I'm not allowed to talk you two must go.

Ikki Takeda: Fourth fight on the Main Card is the return of former champion Jazz Clementine(6-2) coming back after losing his belt and fighting Joca Carioca(4-2-1). Clementine is a world renowned striker that has been known to tap when facing grapplers and it hits the mat almost immediately. Carioca is a grappler that has only won by way of submission. Prediction is Clemetine by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The fight to kick off the Main Card is Sagat Shanti(9-4) who hasn't been doing very well since coming to fight here against Chris Snoky(7-3-1) who also has not been doing well since coming here either. Both of these strikers will be looking to get back into the win column as between the two of them are 0-4 in their last couple of fights. Prediction Shanti by KO.

Ikki Takeda: Time for my undercard predictions The Nightmare by submission, Carneiro by submission, Know by submission, Nurmagbeeb by submission, and Ziskie by KO.

265+ lbs. #6 Ole Anderson vs #2 Maxim Popov

Welcome to the main event! We have two world class fighters in their own respects facing off for the chance to be considered for a title shot. Ole "The Rock" Anderson is coming off a submission of the night performance against Fedor Vovchanchyn, after a 3 loss stint. His opponent, #2 ranked Maxim "The Iron Hammer" Popov is not to be taken lightly, and he will be Anderson's biggest test. Popov just defeated Hulk Hogan recently, and Hogan finished Anderson in the first round. This is the fight you want to see! Good luck to both fighters, tonight.

135 lbs. #1 Brain Fog vs #4 Gary Dema

What a fight! Brain Fog, the #1 contender, is on a bullet train to the top, with his only loss in the org being to the champion Daichi Kishimoto, but every fight since has been performance award after performance award. Gary "The Mighty" Dema has a similar record, and earned this fight after beating Dax Baxter via TKO in the first round. These high ranked contenders will put on a show wherever the fight goes. Stay tuned!

135 lbs. #5 Wayne Williams vs #6 Conner Joieson

Coming off of 2 straight knockout victories since arriving at SFC, Wayne Williams is looking to add a third against a very skilled grappler, Conner Joieson, who is just coming off a submission loss to #1 contender Brain Fog. This one will be exciting!

205 lbs. Petr Antonovich vs Ken Ring

Exceptional boxer, Petr Antonovich has been undefeated since his debut fight at WeInSyd5. Ken Ring, a wonderful Muay Thai striker, hasn't seen a victory since arriving at SFC. This will be Ring's biggest test, and will be the comeback he needs if he can pull it off.

205 lbs. Mike Mikson vs Isaiah Cooley

With both, Mikson and Cooley, taking a loss recently, they will need to take this fight seriously. Mikson, a grappler, is no stranger to strikers, but Cooley is very well rounded and will take a solid game plan to put away.

205 lbs. Spencer Rubenstein vs Andrew Elliot

Rubenstein is a fantastic striker with a wrestling background. He takes on Andrew Elliot, a black belt in BJJ. Elliot will need to get this fight to the ground to stay in the fight.

205 lbs. Tristan Farsight vs Harri Huiha

Traistan Farsight, a remarkable boxer, will face off against Harri Huiha, a grappling dominant fighter. Farsight is coming off of 2 losses back to back. Huiha, watch out for th thirst of a starved fighter!

185 lbs. Gary Red vs Haven West

Gary Red is a wonderful boxer with power in his hands, but Haven West has the grappling answer for his opponent. Between a striker and grappler, it comes down to where the fight goes.

205 lbs. Aepo Kukkanen vs Montavious Jordan

Kukkanen is a well rounded fighter with a boxing focus. He goes up against a dangerous wrestler and Jiu Jitsu artist in Montavious Jordan.

205 lbs. Mike Grey vs Grasman Thor

Mike Grey is a powerful wrestler with a big test tonight against an opponent who lost his debut match, Grasman Thor. This fight will be a stepping stone for either of these men.

SyFi 66 Preview

With no title fight on the card, at least we get the next best thing, a No. 1 Contender Fight as the Main Event, tonight at 155.

155 lbs #3 Xavier Merlin v #2 Deklek Sitsongrit

With still no confirmation of the Sane vs. Page fight, the rumours about a title strip have appeared, whomever wins here is guaranteed a title fight.

Xavier Merlin is solid in stand up, but on the ground is the black belts real strength, submitting Pit Canthropus jr. Recently. He also has two decision wins against veterans, however, his only loss at SyFi came against Justin Sane, and to get a shot at the now champ(if he returns), the way is through Deklek Sitsongrit, no longer with the Sitsongrit camp, he was DSOF Champ, and under new management won both SyFi fights by TKO. While Muay Thai is his strength, his ground game seems sub par and untested at SFC.

Pick: Merlin by Submission

170 lbs #3 Mike Johnson v #8 Akira Harada

Two fighters coming of losses, with Johnson, making his first fight since loosing the belt. Johnson an all-rounder, that sees Wrestling as his core, was undefeated, until in his 3rd title defense Gideon Navaro submitted him. Harada recently lost a title Eliminator to Steve Collins, while Harada is a wonderful Boxer, with solid all-round qualities, in a common opponent fight he lost to Daugthrey, who was then beaten by Johnson in a title fight.

Pick: Johnson by Submission

265 lbs #7 Stefan Harpik v Angel Childress

Two veterans fight here, none may have a great long time future, but short term they impressed, Harpik coming of QFCs , won both his SyFi fights, and is a purple belt with solid wrestling, Childress is 4-1 at SyFi, and this is a rematch, as Childress only loss came against Harpik, who Kod him badly. Childress, may want to turn on his submission skills, which brought him to 3-0 earlier in his career.

Pick: Childress by Submission

155 lbs Max Luther v Bernardo De Barros

Luther recently changed management, after starting 4-0, he fell to 5-2. loosing to Akimbo Spice and Bob madden, now Boble Lineman manages him himself, so the question is, will his future really be at SFC, well, he faces a tough challenge from more talented Bernardo de Barros, a Black Belt, who just recently snapped a 2 fight loosing streak, which included a title shot against Golovkin. Submission or defeat is his game.

Pick: de Barros by Submission

265+ lbs #3 Jim Bob McDonald v #8 Jason Imbert

Champion at MLC Bob Mc Donald came to win the SFC title, well he fell short in his first try, but after beating Voshon Daniels, this fight is supposed to make his claim fore another title shot stronger, being strong all-around, he faces boxer Jason Imbert, who switched from 265 2 months ago, and wants to stay unbeaten at 265+, after 2 wins against gatekeepers.

Pick: McDonald by KO

Now a short view of the undercard:

155 lbs Chief Eyes v Robb Stark

SyFi debut by Robb Stark, Chief Eyes a SyFi veteran, can challenge, if he keeps it upright.

Pick: Stark by TKO

265 lbs Randall Cobb v #8 Isaac Arthur

Randall Cobb is a well travelled veteran making his SyFi debut, Arthur now 21 is 2-0 at SyFi and a well kept secret, very tough call, but going with the trend.

Pick: Arthur by TKO

205 lbs Kevin Durant v Dukey Tots

Durant is on a 2 fight win streak, after starting 0-3, Tots a 7-1 veteran,-

Pick: Tots by Submission

155 lbs Teem OReilly v Philip Moore

Torcida veteran Oreilly vs. Super talented Moore, who is on a 2 fight win streak, pick by the trend.

Pick: Moore by TKO

265 lbs Billy Bobkins v Markus Hammarstrom

Bobkins the veteran of a loss faces debutant Hammarstrom.

Pick: Debut KO for Hammarstrom

SyFI – Weekend Recap

A weekend, that dropped SyFi back in the rankings a bit comes to a close, but it was not a surprise, it was a calculated move, with only 1 title fight on the weekend, the focus was to built talent and get the Org growing. More often now we'll see developed fighters going at it within a shorter period of time between fights, as talent emerges.

On Sunday Night also the news came out, that the 155 title was stripped from Justin Sane, according to Boble Lineman: "His manager could not be reached for 14 days, he was given an extra 6 days to accept the title fights, but there comes a point, where the Org is greater than anything else, on his return, we'll talk a comeback plan, but for now the frustration is high."

But on to the weekend Fight cards:

Friday:

2 Fighters that want to have a shot at the title won in the Main Event and the Co-Main Event,

in the Main Event Ole Anderson made his statement about a 265+ title shot, he beat Maxim Popov, so far unbeaten at SyFi, and did it by a signature Submission in Round 1. News is, if his brother fails to get a win in the rematch, he needs 1 more win to get the next shot.

At 135 Brain Fog beat Gary Dema, Brain Fog, submitted the veteran with time running out in Round 2, he wants a rematch with Kishimoto, who now holds the 135 and 145 belt, which he didn't, when they first met in an eliminator. From the Head Office we hear, he'll fight Yodasawan Sitsongrit for a shot at the belt. So 1 more win till he likely gets a rematch.

Also at 135 Wayne Williams showed his class, 3-0 at SyFi now, the youngster makes his statement about title contention.

In further Action Petr Antonovic at 205, as well as Spencer Rubenstein and Isiah Cooley got incredible wins, moving up the ladder, all being youngsters.

Fight of the night: Gary Red vs Haven West

KO of the night: Tristan Farsight

Sub of the night: Montavious Jordan

Saturday:

Saturdays card had the only title fight of the week, with 170 champ Gideon Navarro making his first defense since beating long time champ Mike Johnson. Navarro meeting Steve Collins, made clear, that he want to hold that title for a lengthy period of time, as he took Collins down, and needed less than one and a half minute to get the submission.

In the Co-Main Event it was Kevin Daughtrey moving himself into the No. 1 Contender spot, by beating previously unbeaten Ingo Butzhammer. The two moved into the clinch, and while Butzhammers knees seemed to have no affect, Daughtrey simply pounded away, at the 2:30 mark the ref had no choice but step in.

Victor Creed stayed unbeaten at 185, moving to a decision win over Goldberg, in a fight of youngsters, while Jazz Clementine scored a win, that by all likelyhood moves him into the No. 1 Contender spot at 145.

Fight of the night: Chris Snoky vs Sagat Shanti

KO of the night: Jazz Clementine

Sub of the night: Philip Ziskie

Sunday:

A thrilling Main Event att 155, with the winner moving on to a title fight we saw between Xavier Merlin and Deklek Sitsongrit. Unbeaten under new management Deklek wanted to keep his streak alive, but he was to be denied, Xavier Merlin wasted no time showing his dominance, taking down the Thai Fighter, and then held on for a big time submission to earn himself a title shot.

In the Co-Main Event it was former 170 Champ Mike Johnson, that got a TKO against Akira Harada, Johnson surely cemented himself in the top 2 at 170, and a rematch with Navarro should be possible at a soon point.

In the other fights, Angel Childress got revenge on Stefan Harpik, who he lost against 6 weeks ago. Childress got his will better this time, taking down Harpik and scoring a valuable submission, a triology between the two seems likely, if both stay on.

At 155 Bernardo de Barros kept winning, as the former title contender moves back near the Top 10, and at 265+ Jim Bob McDonald delivered a quick TKO, also in search of another title shot. Not to be missed is unbeaten Heavyweight Talent Isaac Arthur collecting win No. 7 and third at SyFi.

Fight of the night: Robb Stark vs Chief Eyes

KO of the night: Jim Bob McDonald

Sub of the night: Bernardo De Barros

He is undefeated and ran through the EFA 265+ DIVISION knocking every opponent unconscious in the process. After a falling out with EFAs corrupt management he fulfilled 1 of his last 2 fights then tore up his contract in the middle of the cage.He promptly told off the management, slapped the president, and left the org still wearing the belt around his waist.

Arn Anderson I see you got a rematch trying to get your belt back from that foreign heathen Muslim.....

I WANT THE WINNER SO I CAN HAVE 2 BELTS ON THE MANTLE.

"Hey big man I say chase them titles because I know the feeling of having 2 belts, maybe after I whooped these 135 and 145lbs belts again I might go and fight a guy 3 times my size in you and then after that fight either Die or leave SFC because I think after a few Months I have to move to another org, but I don't know how I wil leave this org as it has grew so close to me and gave me amazing opportunities...but I want to face other competition and maybe even lose because it is all about pushing myself I might even get my ass knocked out by Joe this weekend I had a good camp tho!"

SyFi Weekend Preview

Welcome to a look at the most important fights of the SFC week, with 3 title fights scheduled Sydney is looking for some earth shaking Kos and Smashing submissions, let's begin with the big ones:

Saturday:

Title Fight at 205: ©Mister McNasty v #1 Pablo Spezziale

The 21yr old McNasty is unbeaten in 6 fights at SyFi, bringing an overall record of 10-3, he swept through Sydneys Light Heavyweight corps in unbelievable fashion. All wins have been TKOs and Kos, but some at very late stages, making his 4th defense, he won the belt from Damatang Camara, by a TKO in Round 3, his last 2 defenses went to Round 4 and 5. Especially against Melvin Comeau, he was down on points and forced a TKO stoppage in Round 5, while some thought Comeau deserved an immediate rematch, it was Spezziale, that was already brought up as the new champ. Spezziale went 6-3 in the NYFN legends Tournament, who developed several fighters now at SyFi, here he went through two tough opponents, beating Lars Hard and Blake Phoenix(another NYFN Legend). The later by a forceful Decision, comparing the two we can expect a stand up war, while McNasty needs the clinch to demolish, Spezziale want to keep distance and box his way through, expect a great fight.

Prediction: McNasty by TKO

Sunday:

Title Fight at 265: © Rick Piano vs. #1 Bill Shorton

A banger of a fight sees unbeaten Rick Piano face a rematch with Bill Shorton. Both faced each other at SyFi 22 in March, that day, Shorton found no weapons, and was KO ed cold by the Champ Piano. Since then both have won their way through the division, while Piano was tested by Ross Barkley and for the first time taken to Round 2, Shorton since then never let an opponent out of the cage in less than 3 minutes. Not facing the elite level that Piano faced in his title defenses, Shortons wins, where enough to give him another title fight. As in the first fight Piano will look to show his dominance in boxing, and keep some distance, while Shorton is dominant in the clinch game. In their first encounter, Shorton was able to clinch, but couldn't keep it on, let's see, if he got enough training to dominate.

Pick: Piano by TKO

Title Fight at 135: © Daichi Kishimoto v #1 Glass Joe

Another rematch, with likely similar presets, but different in style as it could be. Kishimoto is perhaps the most talented submission specialist in SyFi and makes his 3rd title defense at 135 against the man he got the title from. Glass Joe, a 26yo veteran, couldn't be more different, solid in boxing, he fought his way to a couple of decisions, in his recent outings, but against top talent, both Dieselnoi Pramuk and Pinched Nerve had challenged for the title before, and Kishimoto beat them by submission, and that shows the biggest difference, Kishimoto finishes fights, Glass Joe grinds out decisions. In their first fight, Glass Joe couldn't keep it standing, and was submitted, once the fight was on the ground. The two fighters showed a lot of respect for each other afterwards, and the rematch will bring back this respect. However comparing the two a win by Glass Joe would perhaps be the MMA sensation of the year.

Pick: Kishimoto by Submission

Other big fights:

Sunday:

265 #2 Ross Barkley v #8 Sergey Korotkiy

Barkley is on the way to a rematch with Piano, and would love the posterboy champion to face him again for the belt. Barkley was the only one to bang out a full round with the Champ, and almost made it to Round 2, being 7-3 he has won his 2 other fights at SyFi beating talented Dillon and Fujimoto, both talented youngsters. Korotkiy has won all 3 of his fights with SyFi, all by KO or TKO, and beating talents like Weinstein and Ulvesson. His strength is core wrestling, while Barkley is a tough alrounder.

Pick: Barkley by TKO

Saturday:

155 Fiyero Lermontov v #7 Akimbo Spice

Rumours are, that this may be the last fight for the former 155 champ, Akimbo Spice is a story line by itself, won the champ under a fake Thai name, back to Jamaica, to be reborn, and gettin another title shot, winning the belt with a new name. After that his last 2 fights showed big weaknesses, being submitted by Sane, and afterwards TKOed by Deklek Sitsongrit, the champ may call it a day early. So look at his opponent, Lermontov perhaps is the biggest talent at 155, all TKOs in less than 2 minutes, he's 4-1, but 4-0 at SyFi, beating former contender Pat Williams, who lost a title fight to Spice, when he was still a Thai, was his first test. Now perhaps we can witness the passing of the Torch.

Pick: Lermontov by TKO

On Saturday, At 185 watch out for Nils Ragnar and Corey Mercer, unranked Mercer(4-0) will face Iso Paa #7 at 185, those two could make a big impact on the division and put their sights on the title, prediction sees both winning, and perhaps facing each other next.

On Sunday watch out for the opening fight Tenshin Segawa v Trai Prugsanapan, both make their SyFI debut, and both seem to have incredible talent, with the right management perhaps a few months down the road we may see a rematch for the title.

A quick look at Friday:

155 #4 Murphy Brown v Gennady Golovkin

Brown comes fresh off a loss to champ Sane, being his first SyFi defeat, he is 8-4-1 overall. The 28 yo veteran looks to rebound fast, and would like another shot at the belt, before his decrease starts, Golovkin, also a former title challenger, lost to Evan Page in an eliminator lately, he's 28 also, so while the winner can move on and dream of another title fight, the road would be downhill loosing here.

Prediction: Golovkin by TKO

#6 Ivashin Dmitrievich v #9 Kurt Wagner

Dmitrievich just made his SyFi debut winning against Unknown Combatant, a tough 21yo, interested to bang it out, he so far faced tough challenges going 5-5 at IFC.

Well Wagner may be a different challenge, just earning his black belt, the youngester is on a 3 fight win streak. Let's see if he can keep it going against a more experienced fighter.

Prediction: Wagner by Submission

Pick of the Undercard: 205 Tsuyoi Kakuto v Dickon Tarly a 20yo Brown Belt Kakuto may be a fighter to watch for the future, but look great built 19yo Dickon Tarly to give him a fight.

Well folks, thats it for today, enjoy the fights.

SYFI 67 PREVIEW SHOW:

ikki Takeda: As always your host Ikki Takeda is here to give you the 411 on Saturday's night of fights in the beautiful land of Sydney Austrailia.

Ikki Takeda: The main event promises to be an exciting title match between Mister McNasty and Pablo Spezziale for the 205 pound strap. McNasty is the reigning defending champion with a 10-3 record. Not much to say about the champ that isn't already known; like he has never been finished and all except for one of his wins have come by the way ok KO. The challenger Spezziale is on a two fight winning streak inside the cages of Sydney Fights. He is 8-3 and all losses have come by the way of KO and is a KO artist as well. This is a fight that promises to have someone getting a cat scan in the morning. My prediction is and still by way of KO.

Ikki Takeda: The co-main event is 185 pound fight that promises to be a war. As Alexis Anderson takes on Sergei Bumanov. On paper this looks to be about as one sided a fight as you can get but Anderson 5-3 has won all of his by KO and has never been KO'd before. He has proven he has the power to test the chins of any mere mortal. Bumanov 5-1 only loss comes from the current champ Big Asznee by his favorite way of submission. Bumanov doesn't pack the biggest punch as he is mainly a point style fighter. My pick is Bumanov by decision.

Ikki Takeda: The third fight on the main card is between Fiyero Lermontov who has been on a complete tear since moving from the local circuit to Sydney Fights not losing a single fight and the well known Akimbo Spice who has been having some trouble as of late. Lermontov 4-1 has had nothing but finishes by KO rather it's getting it or doing it. Spice 5-2 has lost two in a row. So he will be coming out with guns blazing for sure. My predicition is Lermontov by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The fourth fight on the main card is between the sick psychopath Corey Mercer and Iso Paa. Mercer unbeaten at 4-0 has to take an aids test before every fight and pass it before being allowed to fight as he bathes in blood before every fight. Needless to say blood does not bother this guy. Paa 4-1 has some of the best stand up this side of the equator and like Lermontov has only lost on the local circuit and is unbeaten here. My pick is Paa by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The fight to kick off the main card is between I couldn't finish a paper bag Nils Ragnaar 3-1 all wins by decision and Man Itizer 8-6 all wins by KO. Ragnaar is a point fighter with a karate style much like Josh Thompson just not the power. Itizer may have hit the wall in the chin department as he is coming off two straight losses by KO. My pick is Ragnaar by decision.

Ikki Takeda: Underard prediction time and then an interview with one of the guys on it. Daucourt by submission, Armstrong by KO, MO by decision, Santana by submission, and Santos by KO.

Ikki Takeda: I'm here with Remi Daucourt a great new talent that well known in the bjj world as he is an Abu Dhabi Champion. Welcome Remi.

Remi Daucourt: Thanks Ikki.

Ikki Takeda: So how good is your bjj?

Remi Daucourt: Well I'm a champion in it for a reason. I'm the best for a reason. I have the best bjj in the world unlike the fake champion Kishimoto.

Ikki Takeda: What are your thoughts on being on the undercard?

Remi Daucourt: It's absurd. I'm definitely a main card talent. Heck I'm the best with a submission game that no-one can stop the champ included.

Ikki Takeda: Where do you see yourself in 2 years?

Remi Daucourt: With that belt around my waist. I didn't come here after winning the Abu Dhabi Championship to not show the world that bjj is king and I'm the king of kings.

Ikki Takeda: How do you see your fight with Christian Cyborg going?

Remi Daucourt: No way he can stop my takedowns and no way he can stop my bjj. So without a question I win by submission. Who's next!?

Ikki Takeda: Well thank you for your time with us Remi.

"I am retiring

NEVER I just love fighting sad to see Joe get another loss, but I guess it is just the years on the mat and I didn't want his power...but I got the W and quickly got SFC to finally give me a performance bonus because I have been finishing fights since day 1 and have never been awarded a bonus. I see I am the one guy that got a Sub win at SFC 68 so I got the bonus!!

Weekend Recap:

It was a weekend with 3 title fights, more than 6500 on both the Saturday and Sunday Event and a Sunday Event of a 222 Rating to close it out.

This brings SyFi back into the Top 20, currently spotting a 15th rank among Orgs.

But let's go day by day.

Friday:

Certainly the lowest in name quality and rating, nevertheless Friday showed some quality young talent, we likely will see more of in the future.

The Main Event put two veterans, that both already challenged for the 155 title against each other. Gennady Golovkin (7-4) made short work of Murphy Brown, Golovkin, who lost the title to Akimbo Spice in April will look to give it another shot challenging for another title fight. His Boxing power was simply too much in this fight.A TKO after 2:34.

In the CO-Main Event the talk before the fight was all about Kurt Wagners black belt, however, Ivan Dmitrievich had the better of the 2, just fighting in his second fight at SFC at 205, he put a big punch out to get a KO just over a minute into Round 2.

In the undercard Cat Fhin and Ivar the Boneless scored wins at 265+, while Kento Ban Gbus showed great class in his move from 155 to 145, winning against star talent DeMArio Valdez, whom he TKOed in Round 3. While Ban Gbus will face Akimbo Spice, the former 155 champ next, Valdez will move down to 135.

Fight of the night: Cat Fhin vs Voshon Daniels

KO of the night: Kento Ban Gbus

Sub of the night: Roy Jones Gracie

Saturday:

The 205 title fight was in the spotlight of the Saturday, Mister McNasty and Pablo Spezziale made their way towards the ring, and it was obvious McNasty was not at 100%, holding his champion belt, it was almost as if he wanted to say good bye to it. And Spezziale stormed out dominating the fight early, Spezziale took down McNasty early and dominated Round 1. It was another go for Spezziale in Round 2, however McNasty settled in, rocking Spezziale around the 3 minute mark, but still Spezziale showed more class in the Round overall. But the signs were clear, the champ was ready by now, and in Round 3 he put on the clinch, dominated for a full 4 minutes and put on the TKO with the Round running to a close. Mc Nasty defended the belt for a 4th time, and now is waiting for the winner of the No.1 Challenger fight between Comeau and Carnera, who both had been beaten by him earlier, but would love a rematch.

In the Co- Main Event veteran Alexis Anderson got his 2nd win in SyFi, when he fought his way to a decision over former Challenger Sergei Bumanov, who looked out of shape. Anderson struggled in Round 1, when Bumanov was still able to put on a clinch, when he wanted. But in Round 2 the tide changed, and it was Anderson rocking Bumanov and dominating, in Round 3 Anderson put the finishing touched on, dominating in the clinch himself, winning the fight.

In the Undercard at 155 Akimbo Spice, former champion and much talked about character, was ready to face his final challenge, facing 4-1 Fiyero Lermontov, who many spotted as the greatest talent SFC has on offer. However Akimbo was not ready for retirement, he dominated Lermontov for 3 minutes before being taken down, and bravely keeping Lermontov off. In Round 2 Lermontov showed his class, taking down Spice and showing a gazzilion of Sub Attempts, but Spice hang in there. In Round 3 a tired Lermontov got rocked, and couldn't manage another takedown, being hit by Spice , who took the round and the Decision. Spice will live another live, and already confirmed he'll move down to 145, for a revenge fight against Kento Ban Gbus, who beat his teammate DeMario Valdez recently. Well, SyFI Management sure hopes Akimbo Spice, would give a shot at the 145 title, if he wins.

In other undercard action at 185 Iso Paa and Nils Ragnaar showed lots of class, Paa beat slightly favoured previously unbeaten Corey Mercer, and now the talk outside of Paas camp is about a championship fight.

At 145 Remi Dacourt showed his class, after being featured on Ikkis Preview show, he kept his words, and beat Christian Cyborg, already confirmed he'll face Phillip Zieske next, in a showdown of 145 super talents.

Fight of the night: Luiz Santos vs Nilo Putsok

KO of the night: Killian Armstrong

Sub of the night: Marcos Santana

Sunday:

A day with 2 Championship fights awlways brings excitment, however, today, the fireworks were the Champions only, with both title fights ending in Round 1 defenses.

The Main Event saw the rematch of Rick Piano and Bill Shorton, and when it started, people might think they were shown a replay of their first fight back in March. Shorton put on the clinch in the first minute, but Piano succesfully broke it, and from then on hammered a helpless Shorton. At the 2:39 mark it was a brutal KO for Piano. Shorton lasted 40 seconds longer than in the first fight.

Piano stays unbeaten, and will move on waiting for better challengers.

At 135 Double Champion Daichi Kishimoto also faced a fighter again, he beat in brilliant fashion before. Kishimoto won the 135 title against Glass Joe in Early April by a submission in 3:21 against Glass Joe. Since then both went unbeaten, and so the rematch was setup. Veteran Glass Joe brought his boxing gloves, but was taken down early in Round 1, and submitted even quicker today. At the 2:35 mark the Submission was on, and Kishimoto could celebrate. Next up likely a 145 defense also against the man he won the title against (Jazz Clementine) is up for Kishimoto.

The Undercard brought the 265 Challenger spot, Ross Barkley faced young Russian Talent Sergei Korotkiy. And Barkley, the only man to go into Round 2 with Rick Piano showed his class. Barkley failed to get Korotkij in the clinch, however his punches from a distance were enough to finish the russian, who got KO ed at the 1:38 mark. Barkley may hunt for Piano again next.

At 205 Corey Smith jr. Made it 4 wins in a row, with a TKO of former Champ Damatang Camara, who looked out of shape and far away from championship form. In other action Gooti Kuusta got a TKO win by a cut to Bear Stevenson.

Two big talents showed their class, at 265 Machiavelli Restin Peace beat Ben Elliot, and at 135 the debut of Trai Prugsanapan was a cracking one.

Fight of the night: Machiavelli RestInPiece vs Ben Elliot

KO of the night: Trai Prugsanapan

Sub of the night: Daichi Kishimoto

Daichi Kishimoto

"I was just sitting here today after We did some stand up in the gym and I realised I was facing Jazz Clementine...Mr Savvy himself...I was feeling so confident in the gym and I realised that Jazz is basically he is young he is talented he has a decent manager, but the one difference is I am better...Jazz if you ever hope to wear a belt I advise you to go try somewhere else because as your ground skills get better my stand up gets better and guess what it takes a lot of punches to stop me, I need one choke or one Joint lock and you are over...Just let that sink in a bit and don't pull out of our fight bro!I give you this you uave skill and talent and 1 out of 10 might beat me, but I think this will be one of the 9 times I win..."

SyFi 70 Preview Show:

Ikki Takeda: As always Saturday night at Schooner's Bar is home to Sydney Fights. We have title on the line. we have fights. we have blood, and we have BEER!!!

Ikki Takeda: The Main Event is one of two title fights. As Big Asznee 11-1 puts his title on the line again at 185 against the man he won his very first title defense against many moons ago Wayne Benning 7-1. Both of these men knew this day would come. Asznee as well all know will be looking to get this fight to the ground. Benning is young, hungry, talented, and looking for redemption. He has come a long way since their first encounter and now has the bjj to maybe stop the submission this time around, the wrestling to stop the takedown, and we all know he has the striking to win. My prediction is and new Benning by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The Co-Main Event is one at 155 and another title fight. The title is up for grabs as Justin Sane who had the title and is still with Sydney Fights has been stripped of his belt for reasons unknown. The match will be between Xavier Merlin at 7-2 and Evan Page at 6-2. Merlin two losses have come by way of submission and 1 of his losses was against the champion Sane. He fancies himself a grappler but don't go dropping your guard as he is well rounded. Page doesn't let anyone think twice on what kind of fighter he is. He is all about standing and banging. My prediction is Merlin by submission.

Ikki Takeda: The third fight on the main card is between Pahani Julmu at 5-0-1 and Roy Whitaker at 5-0. Both of these young fighters are very talented. Julmu is coming off a majority draw and is a very talented grappler with some decent striking. Whitaker is a well rounded fighter but a very gifted striker. He will be competing for the USA Olympic boxing team the next Olympic Games and also came in second place in Florida in high school in wrestling. My prediction is Whitaker by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The fourth fight on the main card is between unbeaten grappling sensation Bob Madden at 4-0 following in the footsteps of the 2 division champ Daichi Kishimoto and is among the ever growing number of bjj black belts in Sydney Fights and Jorginho Marcelo at 4-2. Madden has been working quite a bit on his stand up and has become well rounded but has some of the best grappling in the world. Marcelo is a grappler and has just started adding a bit of striking to his game. My prediction is Madden by his first KO.

Ikki Takeda: The fight that kicks off the main card is between Hosep Grigorian at 4-1 as he welcomes Ross Warring at 5-2 to Sydney Fights. Grigorian will be looking to show Warring that he made a mistake coming to Sydney to fight as they have some of the best fighters in the world. Warring a striking standout from the NJMMA promotion will be looking to make a statement that he can fight anywhere in the world. My prediction is Grigorian by KO.

Ikki Takeda: Time for my undercard predictions: Lannister by KO, Barbosa another black belt in bjj by submission. Dzejms by KO, Nurmagomegov by TKO, and Ovchinnikov by submission.

Ikki Takeda: And now we come to the interview part of the evening. I have a special guest Daichi Kishimoto here with me today. Welcome Daichi.

Daichi Kishimoto: Thank you Ikki.

Ikki Takeda: Do you think a lot of fighters in Sydney Fights are following your footsteps because you not only have dominated with your bjj but was the first black belt in bjj in the org or is it because you are a 2 division champion?

Daichi Kishimoto: Honostly I am honored to hear this, I work hard every day and stive for greatness and inspiration...I am glad if I can get some lads on thr mat because the art of BJJ is just beautiful...

Ikki Takeda: What adds more pressure to you when you fight being a 2 divsion champion or the first bjj black belt in Sydney Fights, or do you not feel any pressure at all?

Daichi Kishimoto: Honostly I feel no pressure at 145 since I should be the underdog, I feel at 135 I should win, but still.no pressure due to me having confidence...besicallt yes and No I just pressure myself to perform I don't want anything else that performing at my best

Ikki Takeda: As you work more and more on your striking do you think we will start to see you knock people out or will bjj always be your bread and butter?

Daichi Kishimoto: Yes I am really working the hands, I will always stay sharp on the ground, but I will when the opportunity presents itself knock a guy out cold...I am currently facing guys from stand up backrounds so I don't take chances, but I am ready to KO some people

Ikki Takeda: As more and more guys are starting to become black belts in bjj in the org that you paved the way for are there any of the other black belts in the org that you like to watch and if so who?

Daici Kishimoto: Honoslty I like watching some other guys there are a lot of promising brownbelts that I see a lot of talent in I am just sorry for going off topic, but the super heavyweight division had a champion with a white belt I cannot believe he is champ with a white belt

Ikki Takeda: Do you think you will go for your red belt or is black belt good enough for you?

Daichi Kishimoto: Of course in time I will go and chase that red one, but at the moment I like just getting the striking skills ready since no one is a threat on the ground, but no Black is not enough.

Ikki Takeda: Which guy do you think currently in 135 and 145 would put up the best fight for you in the org if any?

Daichi Kishimoto: Well I am facing Jazz next and he is heavier than me plus he has some power, but I really don't want to overlook anyone if Jazz catches me I guess I could lose and in these divisions it is either Jazz or that russian guy at 135 I am.unstoppable I believe thats why I am seeking a challenge at 145 and might want to start bulking sn move to 155 next and relinquish a belt because defending 3 will take too much time from.training I want to improve.

Ikki Takeda: Thank you for coming on the show and that is all we have time for here today.

SYFI 73 PREVIEW:

Ikki Takeda: The Main Event is a 170 title fight as Gideon Navarro puts his belt on the line against Kevin Daughtrey. This fight on paper looks to be a short night as Navarro seems to be too much for Kevin to take a bite out of. But ask anyone that has fought against Kevin and they will tell you that he hits like a Mack Truck. So he definitely has the power to win against anyone in the world. My pick for the fight is and still by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The Co-Main Event is between Ariel At Night versus Steve Collins. Ariel is a guy who has pretty decent stand up to couple with a brown belt in bjj. So he is prepared for anywhere any fight goes. Steve is a boxer and has one of the best jabs in the game. He lives and dies by the old boxer saying a man can rule the world with his left. In boxing means if you have a fast solid jab that your opponent can't get inside of you can win any and every fight. My prediction is Ariel by submission.

Ikki Takeda: The third fight on the main card is between Akira Harada and Putem The Nightmare. Akira has some amazing takedown defense and some of the best stand up in the world. Putem is a pure grappler and has the ability to submit just about anyone on the ground. I don't see him being able to get Akira down before getting knocked out in this one though. My prediction is Akira by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The fourth fight on the main card is between Zedidiah Goldberg and Apollo Reid. Zedidiah is looking for redemption after his loss to Victor Creed in which not getting finished was a pretty huge accomplishment given there difference in abilities on the ground. Apollo is coming off 2 straight losses which is going to have him going in desperate mode and as we all know you back an animal into a corner you're going to see the fangs. My pick in this fight is Zedidiah by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The fight kicking off the main card is between Hulk Hogan and Jason Imbert. Hulk is a formidable grappler for anyone and Jason is a boxer with a lot power and has great takedown defense. Jason wins this one by KO.

Weekend Recap:

It was an intense Fight Weekend in Sydney, before we recap the action, let me tell you, that Dohertys's Gym and Sydney Combat Method offer premium Gym Places in Sydney, before you forget to cancel auto-flights, contact me or their owners, and we can not only let you train there, but SFC will also sponsor the move, if needed.

Now on to the weekends action, we had 2 title fights on the menu, and some exciting action.

Friday:

265 veteran Jason Harris moved himself near the top of the division beating fellow veteran Angel Childress by TKO, Harris still unbeaten, but also sticking to fighting veterans, now will have to make a career deciding move, is he ready and willing to take on the youngsters atop the division.

In the Co-Main Event Jamison Cassidy showed Ibrahim Camara the tough waters of SFC, Camara NYFN Legends tournament participant found it difficult, and got subbed after only 1:50, Cassidy showed his class, and may be on to bigger things at 205.

The undercard gave terrific performances by Mujahid Jackson and Clay Frazier at 205, while Michael Colluci made himself a 6-0 fighter in his SFC debut.

Fight of the night: William Lindham vs Stan Dup

KO of the night: Jason Harris

Sub of the night: Jamison Cassidy

Saturday:

Title defense No.2 was as easy as title defense No. 1 for Gideon Navarro, the 170 champ has yet to be taken into Round 2 in a SFC title fight, and Kevin Daugthrey was no challenge either, taking the fight to the clinch Daugthrey looked good for 2 minutes, then Navarro changed gear, took him down, and a couple moments later subbed the Challenger.

Also at 170 Steve Collins and Akira Harada showed their presence and won fights to move themself up the rankings again.

At 185 Zedidah Goldberg Koed former Champ Apollo Reid, who looked only a shadow of his former self.

Fight of the night: Isaiah Cooley vs Spencer Rubenstein

KO of the night: Zedidiah Goldberg

Sub of the night: Marcelinho Lima

Sunday:

The big fight was the one on Sunday, a rematch between 135 and 145 Champion with former 145 champ Jazz Clementine, after Daichi submitted Jazz Clementine in Round 1 in their first fight, this one should be a lot closer. Clementine still couldn't stop the champ taking him down, but he showed a lot more class in grappling, denying 21 submission attempts over 3 rounds, the fight was open, but towards the end of Round 3 both fighters already tired it was Daichi that came through, and submitted Clementine, who showed his frustration in the ring.

The Co Main Event at 155 showed 2 warriors battling it out, Chakrii and Robb, brought a big battle over 3 rounds, with enourmous power by both fighters, kicks and knees by Stark, while a ton of punches by Weecharangsam where the tone of the night. In the end, Chakrii won, and the youngster may be a future title contender.

In the undercard Bernardo de Barros made clear he wants a piece of the 155 title back, winning in convincing fashion submitting Deklek. At 170 Mike Johnson beat Chris Snoky in a 3rd round submission, the former champ , now with a 2 fight win streak fought himself back to the No. 1 Contender spot, and is expected to get the next shot at the man that took his title.

Fight of the night: Chakrii Weecharangsan vs Robb Stark

KO of the night: Alexander Volg Zangief

Sub of the night: Bernardo De Barros
